Vliv pracovní spokojenosti na fluktuaci zaměstnanců / The Influence of Job Satisfaction on Employee Turnover

This Master's Thesis deals with the topics of employee turnover and job satisfaction, more precisely with the way in which job satisfaction can influence employee turnover in a company. The goal of the Thesis is to design a way to analyse job satisfaction in an organization and determine the way in which job satisfaction influences the turnover potential of current employees. The Thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter is a literary research that deals with topics of employee turnover, job satisfaction and the relationship between the two. The second chapter describes the environment in which the data for empirical research was collected, the tools used for data collection and summarizes hypotheses and goals for the empirical part. The final chapter presents the results of the research, evaluation of the problematic areas in the organization and author's recommendations for addressing the discovered shortcomings in the future.

Vztah chudoby a konfliktu v mezinárodních vztazích / Relationship of poverty and conflict in international affairs

This master thesis focuses on a relationship between poverty and conflict. The aim is to analyze poverty as a potential cause of internal conflict. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part discusses the multidimensional character of poverty, the nature of a nexus between poverty and conflict and introduces modern concepts of economic causes of conflict. The second part tests if higher personal income reduces the probability of internal conflict to emerge. Both phenomena are transformed into a simple mathematical function in order to test their nexus. Characteristics of both regional and universal nature of their relationship are scrutinized. Finally, poverty is not universally believed to be a major cause of civil conflicts. However, poverty is suggested to be a major cause of internal conflicts if personal income is not high enough to satisfy basic human meets. The level of violence, under which conflicts are likely to emerge, is believed to be set at the level of 2$ (of daily income). #English version of the thesis is available per request.#

Vývoj psychosociální dynamiky týmů v izolaci / Development of psychosocial dynamics of teams in isolation

The thesis focuses on psychosocial dynamics of teams in isolation and its development over time. Literature review summarises various psychosocial and psychological aspects of human coexistence in extreme environments. It includes the risks and psychological countermeasures, description of stressors and other challenges, the intragroup issues and their development over time. It puts emphasis on defining the most challenging parts of missions and tries to identify patterns. Additionally, the relationship between the crew and MCC is addressed. The literature review is followed by a study focused on the development of intragroup relations and the crew-MCC relations in two analogue missions, Lunar Expedition-0 and Lunar Expedition-1. The research design consisted of a questionnaire, an interview with the whole crew, and the individual interviews with all respective astronauts. Additionally, a new visualization method, Dotty Overview of Team Interactions (DOTI), has been created as a part of this research. DOTI was described and used to visualize the data relating mutual interactions among the crewmembers. All of the results are presented, described and discussed. Selection, Evaluation and Disclosure strategies : within the pheonomenom influencer marketing

Whilst influencer marketing has become a more common practice for decision makers within the field of influencer marketing, qualitative measurements are yet intangible and hard to measure, hence, requiring standardization. Recent scholars suggest that the phenomenon of influencer marketing have drastically changed over a short period of time, and there are reasons to believe that it is still changing. Therefore, relevant scholars have suggested that further research on the subject is of highest importance to the society as well as for brand/ company perspectives. The authors of this thesis have therefore focused on the most crucial elements that needs further research within the field of influencer marketing. These elements are elaborated by previous research, however, there are inconsistencies that needs to be reviewed and clarified. Although, influencer marketing requires more research in general, the authors of this thesis have decided to focus on the Swedish market, to understand and display the common strategies used within influencer marketing today, andpotentially foresee future strategies and trends.Inconsistency among previous research exists in terms of influencer selection, influencer evaluation and disclosure strategies. Additionally, there is a further need of elaborating on preferred relationships between brands/ companies and influencers, as well as preferred traits and characteristics brands/ companies seeks within an influencer. Therefore, the research question states; How do decision makers within the field of influencer marketing select andevaluate influencers; andhow are the different disclosure strategies used?Based on theoretical books, scientific articles, and journals the authors of this thesis have chosen suggested approaches to evaluate and analyse the data gathered. The primary data itself was gathered through semi-structured interviews consisting of six respondents. The respondents operate in different industries, but all are decision makers within the field of influencer marketing. For convenience, the authors of this have categorized the respondents based on size of company and whether their main focus are products or services.The findings of the thesis are presented in a model where the most common practices are displayed. The result will provide the reader with cause of action within the quantitative and qualitative approaches one can take. It has been established that qualitative approaches are becoming more common, contributing to a need of a trustworthy evaluation of such subjective approaches. In addition, the model presents the disclosure strategies used by the respondents in this study, hence, providing an understanding of how disclosure can be used to prevent certain issues. Evidence also points at missing opportunities regarding disclosure strategies. Furthermore, influencer characteristics and relationship approaches will be discussed. This thesis provides the most common approaches used by decision makers within the field of influencer marketing, especially when selecting and evaluating influencers. However, there is a need for further research regarding selection and evaluation of qualitative approaches as well as for disclosure strategies.

The Role and Strategies of Food Manufacturers Towards Obesity and Health Policies

Introduction & Background: Unhealthy diets and non-communicable diseases such as obesity are on the rise on a national and global scale, and there is an urgent need to initiate interventions. However, research suggests there is a lack of effective initiatives from major processed food manufacturers, which are a major contributor to the cause of these health issues. Thus, this study seeks to examine the role that food manufacturers have in contributing to the obesity epidemic and the strategies that they use to navigate around health policies. Purpose Statement Question: Is there evidence of a primary role that processed food manufacturers play in enabling the obesity rates nationally and worldwide through market strategies? Literature Review: A wide variety of databases within public health and medicine, such as PubMed, World Health Organization, and National Institutes of Health, were searched using keywords like “Big Food and obesity,” “marketing and obesity,” and “relationship between obesity and food corporations”. Studies that discussed the impact food manufacturers had on obesity and other non-communicable diseases or strategies that they used were selected. Findings: The different research studies analyzed provided evidence that processed food manufacturers, also known as “Big Food," play a significant role in contributing to public health issues, especially non-communicable diseases like obesity. The food industry uses old and new techniques to solidify its influence nationally while gaining power through global means and evading public policy restrictions Conclusions: There is a need for further research to identify these market strategies and effectively dismantle them.

Relationship Between Family Income and Obesity Among African American Adults

Obesity is a chronic disease that is caused by a number of factors such as diet, genetics, physical inactivity, and poor dietary habits. This research focused on how income affects obesity among a target population in the African American community in Durham, North Carolina (NC). It has been noted that chronic diseases that are diet-related, for example, obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol, affect African Americans disproportionately, especially those who earn low income. Some studies have also reported that those who make higher income have higher rates of obesity. This inconsistency and gap in the literature prompted research on this topic. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to study the relationship between family income and obesity among African Americans. The study sought to address the key factors that contribute to low family income among African Americans in Durham, NC and the ways in those key factors contribute to obesity among African Americans in Durham, NC. This study implored a qualitative approach by using an individual interview method to glean the lived experiences of participants in Durham, NC. Thirty participants were interviewed and themes from the interviews were analyzed. The health belief model was chosen as the theoretical framework for this study to understand the data and explain beliefs, attitudes, and health behaviors. Key results indicated that low family income contributes to obesity. The study contributes to social change by recommending that policy makers advocate for an increase in national minimum wage, encourage educational approaches to prevent obesity, promote good eating habits, and promote adequate physical activity among African Americans.

Целью данной работы стало изучение характера взаимосвязи субъективного ощущения одиночества и личностной тревожности на студенческой выборке. Объектом исследования были субъективное ощущение одиночества и личностная тревожность. Предметом исследования явилась взаимосвязь субъективного ощущения одиночества и личностной тревожности у студентов. Магистерская диссертация состоит из введения, двух теоретических глав, эмпирической главы, заключения, списка литературы и приложений, включающих в себя бланки и описания применявшихся методик. Во введении раскрывается актуальность проблемы исследования, изученность проблемы, ставятся цель и задачи исследования, определяются объект и предмет исследования, формулируется гипотеза исследования, гласящая, что существует взаимосвязь показателей личностной тревожности и субъективного ощущения одиночества. Первая глава посвящена рассмотрению феномена одиночества, существующих подходов к его изучению. Рассмотрена типологизация этого феномена. Так же были разобраны существующие личностные корреляты одиночества, среди которых есть личностная тревожность, представляющая особое внимание для данной работы. Была рассмотрена проблематика одиночества в студенческой среде. Во второй главе рассматривалось явление тревожности, подходы к его изучению и взгляды на причины его появления. Особое внимание было уделено разграничению ситуативной тревожности и личностной тревожности, как изучаемого коррелята одиночества. Третья глава представляет собой эмпирическую часть исследования. В ней представлено описание организации и методов проведенного исследования, описание использованных методик: Модифицированной шкалы измерения одиночества UСLA В. Рассела, Л. Пепло, М. Фергюсон; Дифференциального опросника переживания одиночества Е.Н. Осина и Д.А. Леонтьева (ДОПО-3) и Шкалы ситуативной и личностной тревожности Спилбергера-Ханина. Так же в этой главе были представлены результаты эмпирического исследования, участвовали 112 студентов в возрасте от 16 до 24 лет (58 девушек и 54 юноши). Так же представлены результаты корреляционного и сравнительного анализов, которые подтвердили гипотезу исследования для одиночества в целом, а также для отдельных его показателей. В заключении обобщено изложены результаты теоретической и эмпирической частей работы, а также выводы по подтвержденной гипотезе, описана практическая значимость исследования и перспективы дальнейших исследований этой проблемы. / The purpose of this work was to study the nature of the relationship between the subjective feeling of loneliness and personal anxiety in a student sample. The object of the study was a subjective feeling of loneliness and personal anxiety. The subject of the research was the relationship between the subjective feeling of loneliness and personal anxiety in students. This work consists of an introduction, two theoretical chapters, an empirical chapter, a conclusion, a bibliography and annexes, including forms and descriptions of the scales used. The introduction reveals the relevance of the research problem, the study of the problem, sets the goal and objectives of the research, defines the object and subject of the research, formulates the research hypothesis, stating that there is a relationship between indicators of personal anxiety and subjective feeling of loneliness. The first chapter is devoted to the consideration of the phenomenon of loneliness, the existing approaches to its study. The typology of this phenomenon is considered. The existing personal correlates of loneliness were also analyzed, among which there is personal anxiety, which is of particular attention for this work. The problems of loneliness in the student environment were considered. The second chapter examined the phenomenon of anxiety, approaches to its study and views on the causes of its occurrence. Particular attention was paid to the differentiation of situational anxiety and personal anxiety as the studied correlate of loneliness. The third chapter is the empirical part of the study. It contains a description of the organization and methods of the study, a description of the methods used: UСLA Loneliness scale V. Russell, L. Peplo, M. Ferguson; Differential questionnaire of feelings of loneliness E.N. Osin and D.A. Leontiev (MILE) and the Spielberger-Khanin State-Trait Anxiety Inventory. Also in this chapter, the results of an empirical study were presented, 112 students aged 16 to 24 years (58 women and 54 men) participated. The results of correlation and comparative analyzes are also presented, which confirmed the hypothesis of the study for loneliness in general, as well as for its individual indicators. In the conclusion, the results of the theoretical and empirical parts of the work are summarized, as well as conclusions on the confirmed hypothesis, the practical significance of the study and the prospects for further research of this problem are described.

Relación entre caries de infancia temprana y anemia en niños del centro de salud Atusparias

Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo general determinar la relación entre caries de infancia temprana y anemia en historias clínicas de niños que acudieron al Servicio de Enfermería del Centro de Salud Atusparias, octubre-diciembre 2022. Estudio de tipo casos y controles, analítico, no experimental, relacional, observacional y retrospectivo. Metodología, se distribuyeron 2 grupos: casos y controles. El grupo casos estuvo conformado por los niños que presentaron Caries de Infancia Temprana y el grupo control fueron aquellos que no tuvieron caries. De esos dos grupos se determinó cuántos tuvieron anemia y cuantos no tenían anemia. Primero se realizó un análisis estadístico descriptivo, se empleó la prueba de Chi cuadrado para comprobar la relación entre las variables. Luego, se realizó Odds Ratio (OR) para medir que tan fuerte es la relación y el riesgo. Se trabajó con el valor de p menor de 0.5, lo cual corresponde a un nivel de significancia. Se concluyó que no existe relación estadísticamente significativa entre las variables de caries de infancia temprana y anemia. / The general objective of this research was to determine the relationship between early childhood caries and anemia in the medical records of children who attend the nursing service of the Atusparias health center October-December 2022. The was a case-control, analytical study, not experimental, relational, observational and retrospective. Within the methodology, 2 groups were distributed: cases and controls. The case group was made up of children who had early childhood cavities and the control group were those who had not had cavities. And of these two groups, how many have anemia and how many do not have anemia were calculated- A descriptive statistical analysis was carried out, where the corresponding measures of central tendency and dispersión were implemented. The chi square test was used to test the relationship between the variables. Then, Odds Ratio (OR) was performed to mesuare how strong the relationship and risks is. We worked with a p value of less than 0.05, which corresponds to a level of signifcance. The conclusión was that isn´t exist a relation statistical significative between both variables.
