Analýza nákladové efektivnosti aktivní politiky zaměstnanosti na Mostecku se zaměřením na rekvalifikace / The cost analysis of the efficiency of the active employment policy (especially retraining) at the region Most

Faltysová, Zuzana January 2010 (has links)
This master thesis analyses a labour market at the region Most that has high unemployment rate. After the theoretical basis, the structural analysis of unemployment and its development thesis researches disequilibrium of the labour market both on the side of supply (active employment policy particularly retraining) and demand (the biggest employers in the area). The goal of the thesis is the cost analysis of the efficiency allocated resources into retraining programme particularly into its returns. It is illustrated on model situations and then on the average situation. According to the results it is appraised the truth of the hypothesis that active employment policy is advantageous for state and employers than passive employment policy in the long period. Thesis uses statistic models, comparison, situation analysis and questionnaire.

Reentry and retention: a study of the relationship between characteristics of reentry nurses and reemployment in nursing

Foley, Elizabeth, n/a January 1990 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between characteristics of refreshed registered nurses and reemployment in the nursing workforce post Refresher programme. The application forms completed by the participants of the six programmes conducted by the ACT Health Authority (ACTHA, now Department of Community Services and Health ACT) provided data for a profile analysis. Employment data was derived mostly from statistics compiled by the Research Officer, Nursing, ACTHA. The findings of this study demonstrated that inactive registered nurses do return to nursing from periods of non-participation as nurses, following completion of Refresher programmes. Moreover, significant numbers of these returning nurses remain in nursing employment. In relation to that aspect of workforce planning which considers sources of supply for the registered nurse labour market an area for further study would be to explore the area of patient care in which the greater concentration of refreshed nurses were to be found post programme: acute care settings or extended care facilities. The study found that predictions of the successful reentry to nursing of the individual refreshed nurse and of retention in the nursing workforce could not be based on the characteristics of that person, alone. These findings supported the study's hypothesis that there would be no statistically significant difference between the characteristics of refreshed registered nurses who returned to, and remain in, the nursing workforce and those refreshers who either did not reenter nursing post programme or who left during the following twelve months. The characteristics examined were age, family status, post registration nursing experience, post registration nursing courses, worked as a nurse in the ACT prior to the programme, previous employment status, and time inactive from nursing pre-Refresher programme. Trends were identified which indicated that with some characteristics there was a greater likelihood of post programme reemployability in nursing. Refreshed nurses who reentered and remained in the nursing workforce tended to be younger.than those not working as nurses. There was a trend for post programme participators in the nursing workforce to have had fewer years of post registration nursing experience and to be more likely not to have obtained post registration nursing qualifications than their counterparts not working in nursing positions. Perhaps not surprisingly the study found that a higher proportion of the refreshers employed as nurses had previously worked at some stage in ACT health care facilities as registered nurses. A somewhat unexpected finding was that amongst the group of refreshed nurses working in nursing the largest contingent had been inactive from nursing for more years than was the case for those not working as nurses. The majority of refreshed registered nurses, whether they were working as nurses post programme or not had a family status of partner/husband and child(ren) and were unemployed before undertaking the Refresher programme. Refreshed registered nurses have provided a source of supply to the nursing workforce during a period of shortage of qualified nurses in the health care system. In the latter part of the 1980's there have been indications that shortage is largely confined to nurses with specialised skills. The findings from this study should assist the nursing profession in deciding the future role of programmes of reentry for inactive registered nurses who require reskilling for current clinical competence for general patient care areas.

A career redirection program for unemployed physically disabled workers

Harder, Henry G. 05 1900 (has links)
This study investigated the effect of participation in a 14-day career redirection program on the reemployment, explanations for unemployment, and levels of depression and self-esteem of 44 unemployed adults who had recently become physically disabled. The career redirection program was delivered using an extended Solomon four-group design. The subjects’ explanations for their unemployment, and their levels of depression and self-esteem were measured on at least two of four possible occasions: (a) before participating in the program, (b) after completing the program, (c) after waiting to participate in the program, or (d) eight weeks after completing the program. The researcher contacted the subjects who completed the program after eight weeks to determine their employment status and to request the completion of the final questionnaire battery. A random sample of the subjects who finished the program were also interviewed in-depth to obtain detailed information about their experiences of: (a) becoming disabled, (b) being confronted with the need to change jobs as a result of their disabilities, and (c) participating in the career redirection program. All the incidents reported by the subjects that related to their emotional reactions to these three experiences were identified from transcripts of the interviews. Incidents describing similar reactions to components of these experiences were grouped into categories. Six stages were discerned from the analysis of the categories of emotional reactions. Taken together, these six stages described a career redirection process. The results of the study demonstrated the effectiveness of the treatment program in assisting the subjects through the career redirection process. Eight weeks after finishing the program, 60.5% of the subjects were involved in reemployment activities (11.6% working; 28% independent in job search; 20.9% taking training). Contrary to the researcher’s expectations, the subjects did not exhibit the effects of long-term unemployment documented in the literature, possibly because they....

Pedagogų požiūris į mokymo ir mokymosi metodų panaudojimą perkvalifikavimo studijose / Teachers’ approach to the use of teaching and learning methods in the retraining studies

Jaruševičienė, Oksana 24 September 2008 (has links)
[toliau žr. visą tekstą] / The rapid alternation of social and cultural life, development of informative society, globalization challenges the education of Lithuania and condition changes of the past two decades. The changes of life determine the alteration of educational ideas, search for new and more effective theories and methods of teaching and learning. It is important in recent education for teachers to gain additional competence. Thus, greater attention is paid at the organization of retraining studies, as the quality of education and successful work of educational institutions depend on the teachers’ qualifications and competence. The aim of this research is to analyze teachers’ approach to the use of teaching and learning methods in the retraining studies. The objectives of the research are to study the conception of teachers‘ retraining and its process in the context of educational reforms in Lithuania, discuss the peculiarities of the organization of adult teaching, and survey teachers’ who participate in retraining programs approach to the use of teaching and learning methods in the retraining studies. The research clearly shows that usually teachers’ participation in the refresher course centers is due to the necessity to have the right qualification for the job and a wish for proper pedagogical and psychological knowledge. However, the teaching-learning methods used during the lectures only partly meet the requirements of the teachers. It is estimated that there are various teaching... [to full text]

Efektivita rekvalifikací u dlouhodobě nezaměstnaných uchazečů o zaměstnání / Efficiency of vocational retraining for long term unemployed job-seekers

BEČVÁŘOVÁ, Klára January 2011 (has links)
Unemployment is a long term problem of the present society. For many people, finding a new job is complicated because of some kind of handicap. Such handicaps include age, gender, lack of qualification, or even belonging to certain minority group. In these cases, people remain unemployed for a longer time, which leads to further devaluation of the human capital. Employment offices try to help their job-seekers using active employment policy instruments. This paper is then focused on the vocational retraining instrument in relation to long term unemployed. The objective of the paper is to establish efficiency of vocational retraining and the factors that influence it. The technique of secondary analysis of public documents of the Employment Office in Písek for the period 2005 through 2010 was chosen for the performance of the research. The research has shown that short-term unemployed having secondary education with school-leaving examination (SSLC) and younger age groups (up to 30 years of age) are more often placed in vocational retraining. On the contrary, members of the group of job-seekers with low ? primary education and/or aged over 50 is very rarely placed in vocational retraining. Yet lack of qualification and higher age are risk factors for long term unemployment origination. If these two factors are joined also with very long unemployment (over 1 year), there is a minimum chance to participate in vocational retraining. The positive effects of vocational retraining for long term unemployed include that they have large chance of placement in the labour market within 6 months. Selection for vocational retraining is performed on the basis of cooperation of the labour provision consultant with the job-seeker. Unfortunately, there is noticeable tendency to select rather the less problematic and better motivated job-seekers. Consequently, the approach to clients should change and those who really need help should be targeted.

Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) : - En behandlingsmetod för tinnitus

Ivarsson, Camilla, Rojas, Nevenka January 2006 (has links)
