L'écrivain en architecte : la conception de l´architecture dans le texte littéraire et ses effets esthétiques et cognitifs : (Le Dépeupleur de Samuel Beckett et Le Terrier de Franz Kafka) / The Writer as an Architect : The Conception of Architecture within the Literary Text and its Aesthetic and Cognitive Effects : (The Lost Ones by Samuel Beckett and The Burrow by Franz Kafka)Restrepo Restrepo, Esteban 15 November 2018 (has links)
When architecture deterritorializes itself from its domain of origin to be conceived and experienced “in” literature, its dominant and traditional ontological status is unavoidably altered. The cause of this alteration has to do with the representative nature of its host art, which, according to Etienne Souriau, presents a formal split into a primary form, the one representing (the literary language); and a secondary form, that of the represented (in this case the architecture). This situation causes the writer to be inevitably confronted by different conditions of conception of architecture than those taken into account by the architect. In this research we propose a method of analytical observation based on four levels of conception of the deterritorialized architectures within the literary text. We are going to apply this method to two short stories: Le Dépeupleur by Samuel Beckett, and Le Terrier (Der Bau) by Franz Kafka. The first two levels of conception detail the way architecture is organized within the diegesis of the literary work, and they are: 1) the level of conception of the architectural Object, and 2) the level of conception of the Experience the characters make of it. The two other levels detail the way architecture is modulated, amplified, deformed and oriented by the artistic language, and they are: 3) the level of conception of the Narration of the Object and the Experience, and 4) the level of conception of their Textualization. The very singular assembly of these four levels conceived by the writer will lead the reader to have an unprecedented aesthetic and cognitive experience of architecture that we attempt to evaluate in this research.

Samuel Kerr: um recorte analítico para performance de seus arranjos / Samuel Kerr: An analytical approach for the performance of your arrangementsPaulo Frederico de Andrade Teixeira 16 September 2013 (has links)
The purposes of this study were to analyze the set of choral arrangements elaborated by the conductor Samuel Kerr and establish possible connections between his production and his artistic career. Thereunto, we presented a biographical text originated from bibliographic research, and we realized that an interview with the conductor was needed to raise his background which led to his choral writing. Afterwards, we listed and exemplified the fourteen procedures recurrently found during the process analysis of a set of one hundred and ninety nine arrangements. At last, we choose five representatives arrangements from the set for a further detailed analysis, performed by Silva Ramos Benchmark, process that allowed us to understand clearly the application of the procedures. Throughout the dissertation we pursue to relate the quantification of the application of procedures writing to creative thinking and pedagogical research that we have identified in the research and we have evidenced in most analyzes.

De l'écriture personnelle à l'écriture de l'histoire : questions d'identité dans l'oeuvre d'Ilse Losa et de Samuel Rawet / From the personal writing to history writing : identity questions in the work of Ilse Losa and Samuel RawetMarques, Karina Carvalho de Matos 20 November 2014 (has links)
Our compared study deals with the literary work of Ilse Losa (1913-2006), a German exiled in Portugal, and Samuel Rawet (1929-1984), a Polish immigrant in Brazil, which have adopted Portuguese as writing language. Having arrived in these lusophone countries a few years before the declaration of the Second World War, both share a jewish origin which is expressed in their characters in the form of conflicts between memory and forgetfulness, communitarianism and integration, tradition and cultural performativity. Moreover, their conditions of women and homosexual acted as an inspiration for the construction of a work opposing gender duality in a context of oppression in these host countries : The Salazarist New State (1933-1974) and the military dictatorship in Brazil (1964-1985). This way, through their personal writings in which the jewish identity and the gender identity are key elements, we can consider the exclusion in a broader way. These authors give us a picture of the brazilian and portuguese societies between the end of the 30’s and beginning of the 80’s, highlighting the power relations between elites and masses. During a period in which the national identity is being built on the basis of the myth of the great empire in Portugal and of multiculturalism in Brazil, Ilse Losa and Samuel Rawet show that the nation is always a narrative.
