Resumo: Saul Kripke, a partir dos textos tardios de Wittgenstein, propôs um paradoxo em tor-no da noção de seguir regras que tem como consequência a impossibilidade não apenas do significado linguístico, mas também de todo tipo de representação con-ceitual. Esta dissertação apresenta um entendimento do argumento de Kripke e uma tentativa de refutação do mesmo. Na parte construtiva é feito um esforço para expli-car como que o argumento é construído de um modo que a conclusão flui das pre-missas a partir da mera necessidade conceitual envolvida nas noções de significado e normatividade. É dada uma atenção especial para o uso que Kripke faz da chama "lei de Hume" de acordo com a qual a partir de proposições que descrevem fatos não é possível derivar logicamente proposições normativas. A parte destrutiva da dissertação visa mostrar que há uma possibilidade negligenciada por Kripke que po-de estabelecer a ponte entre os fatos e a normatividade: a teoria ideacional do signi-ficado. Para mostrar isso é esclarecido o significado do termo 'ideia' e explicado co-mo que, ao se assumir a acepção correta da expressão, é possível estabelecer a conexão entre fato e normatividade necessária, de acordo com Kripke, para uma so-lução direta ao paradoxo.

Este trabalho propõe uma leitura da qînh (elegia) que Davi escreveu em homenagem a Saul e Jônatas (2 Sm 1:17-27). Parte da investigação desse gênero no interior da Bíblia Hebraica, identificando os principais traços dele e comparando-o a gêneros próximos numa tentativa de compreender a sua função social nos tempos bíblicos e descobrir possíveis razões para a sua reduzida presença na Bíblia Hebraica. Também constata de que modo esse lamento torna evidentes certos traços do personagem Davi, o que enriquece o entendimento dos relatos, contidos nos livros de Samuel, que narram a sua ascensão ao trono e o seu reinado. Finalmente, apresenta uma análise do poema eleito e do espaço narrativo em que ele emerge. / This paper proposes a reading of the qînh (\"elegy\") that David wrote in honor of Saul and Jonathan (2 Samuel 1: 17-27). Begins with research of this genre within the Hebrew Bible, identifying the main features of it and comparing it to related genres in an attempt to understand its social function in biblical times and find possible reasons for its reduced presence in the Hebrew Bible. Also notes how this lament becomes evident traits of the character David, which enhances understanding of the reports contained in the books of Samuel, which tell his ascension to the throne and his reign. Finally, it presents an analysis of the chosen poem and the narrative space in which it emerges.

Nessa perspectiva, foi feita a seleção de quatro expressivos romances de Bellow para uma análise mais detalhada. Uma escolha que permite a observação de diferentes formas de abertura para o âmbito do transcendente, visto que cada um dos protagonistas de Bellow faz isso de modo muito próprio. Mais precisamente, a partir das suas circunstâncias, das suas vivências, dos seus pensamentos e ainda das suas intuições. Ocorre que esses personagens empreendem, invariavelmente, uma jornada ao conhecimento de si mesmo. Quanto à análise desses textos, ela gira em torno de dois eixos. O primeiro deles é o tema da morte, ou da mortalidade, certamente o tema que é mais fundamental nas criações literárias de Bellow. A respeito do segundo eixo, este é o tema do espírito, ou da alma, também fundamental, e que aparece geralmente vinculado ou subordinado ao tema da morte. Para subsidiar essas análises, não se abre mão de utilizar referências biográficas de Bellow e comentários da crítica literária sobre a sua produção textual. Recursos que se apresentam convenientes para este trabalho de aproximação do complexo e refratário estro bellowiano. / This study attempts to show the religious feeling that permeates the fictional universe of Saul Bellow. To this end, four expressive novels by Bellow were selected for more detailed analysis. This choice enables us to observe different forms of opening for the field of the transcendental, since each of Bellow’s protagonists does this in a particular way, or, more precisely, according to their circumstances, to their experiences, to their thoughts, and also to their intuitions. It happens that these characters invariably undertake a journey in search of self-knowledge. As to the analysis of these texts, it is carried out around two central themes. The first is that of death, or mortality, undoubtedly the most fundamental theme in the literary works of Bellow. The second is that of the spirit, or soul, which is also fundamental and generally linked or subordinated to the theme of death. To substantiate this analysis, we have used bibliographical references of Bellow and comments by literary critics on his writing, which are appropriate resources for this work which attempts to come to grips with the complex and intractable inspiration of Bellow.

Cette thèse propose une étude sur la relation entre les arts graphiques et le cinéma à travers une observation analytique du générique de film en tant que fragment cinématographique hybride présentant un entremêlement ou encore une rencontre entre les éléments graphiques et les éléments filmiques. Par cette étude nous interrogeons le générique d’ouverture de film, de l’apparition de la cinématographie aux expériences plus contemporaines, en suivant l’évolution d’une forme à la fois graphique et cinématographique reposant sur une frontière technique constamment mouvante grâce aux multiples innovations technologiques.Dans ce travail, nous nous intéressons aux fonctions, typologies, typographies et mises en scène du générique d’ouverture, ainsi qu'aux différents éléments le composant, qui s’expriment selon des modalités à la fois historiques, techniques et esthétiques. L’esthétique de la typographie et son évolution font l’objet d’une attention particulière.Cette thèse se concentre particulièrement sur Kyle Cooper et plus spécialement sur le générique d’ouverture de Se7en, remarquable par son style de typographie cinétique ainsi que son incroyable tour de force technique et esthétique.Notre objectif est de démontrer, à travers les développements graphiques et filmiques du générique d’ouverture, à quel point les apports de Kyle Cooper pour l’art de sa conception sont fondamentaux et considérables. Cooper a contribué à la renaissance de l’art du générique de film à la suite de Saul Bass, dans les années 1950. / This thesis proposes a study of the relation between graphic art and cinema through ananalytical approach of film opening credits as a hybrid cinematographic fragment with areunion of graphic elements and cinematographic elements. Through this study, we willanalyze opening credits, from the beginning of cinema until contemporary experiences,following the evolution of a from simultaneously/both graphic and film based on a technicalline constantly shifting with innovations.In this work, we are also interested in fonctions, types, typography and staged opening credits,elements which are expressed according to historical, technical and aesthetic modes. Theaesthetics of typography and its evolution are the subject of a particular attention.This thesis focuses specifically on Kyle Cooper and more precisely on the opening credits ofSe7en with its outstanding style of kinetic typography and its incredible aesthetic andtechnical tour de force.Our goal is to prove the significance of Kyle Cooper’s contribution and why his contributionsfor art of the generic design are so fundamental and substantial across graphic developmentsand opening credits. Cooper had an important part in the rebirth of the art of film credits withSaul Bass in the 1950s.
