Motiverad att känna arbetsglädje nu? : Mindfulness betydelse för arbetsmotivation ocharbetstillfredsställelse

Forslin, Johan, Norén, Helena January 2010 (has links)

Motivation och målsättningar för motion: Ett självbestämmande perspektiv / Motivation and goal-setting in exercise behavior: A self-determination perspective

Lindgren, Sara January 2010 (has links)
Insamlingen av data skedde i form av en webbaserad enkätundersökning med mätinstrumenten Godin Leisure Time Exercise Questionnaire, The Behavioral Regulation in Exercise Questionnaire-2, The Basic Psychological Needs in Exercise Scale och Goal Content for Exercise Questionnaire. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relation between motivation for exercise, satisfaction of psychological needs and how goal-setting plus a self-determinated motivation profile affect the exercise behavior. The participants were 1100 members (M = 45 years) of a weight-loss organization. Collection of the data was made through a web based questionnaire that included the instruments Godin Leisure Time Exercise Questionnaire, The Behavioral Regulation in Exercise Questionnaire-2, The Basic Psychological Needs in Exercise Scale and Goal Content for Exercise Questionnaire. The results showed that an identified and intrinsic regulated motivation profile along with internal goal-setting had a positive correlation with satisfaction of both the psychological needs and strenuous exercise behavior. Moreover the results showed that internal goals had a positive correlation with a self-determinated motivation profile. Development of an internal motivation profile with internal goal-setting can result in improved exercise behavior and well-being. Knowledge of these findings can improve the global health both on individual and group level.</p> / I samarbete med en viktminskningsorganisation

Oscarsson, Petra January 2009 (has links)

Reconciliation, Repatriation and Reconnection: A Framework for Building Resilience In Canadian Indigenous Families

LaBoucane-Benson, Patti-Ann Terra 11 1900 (has links)
Although there is a vast body of literature on family resilience, very little represents research from an explicitly Indigenous paradigm. This research process included an Indigenous research path and a case study informed by Indigenous worldview. The data collected in both informed the findings presented here and contributed to the creation of the final model for building resilience in Indigenous families. The results demonstrate how self-determination in research, service delivery, organizational leadership, spiritual connection and individual, every-day practice can be a powerful expression of freedom, liberty and humanity. The case study maps how the self-determination of an Aboriginal organization, resulted in the creation of a program that assists violent Aboriginal men reconcile their traumatic histories, reconnect to an interconnected worldview and repatriate their responsibilities as men within a strong, healthy Aboriginal society.

Exploratory Study of Motivational Factors for Male and Female Ethiopian Long Distance Runners

Bucan, Sanja 11 1900 (has links)
Based on Self-Determination Theory (e.g., Deci & Ryan, 1985a, 2000; Ryan & Deci, 2002) this research focused on the motivation of ten elite Ethiopian male and female long distance runners. The semi-structured interview guide based on the SDT was transcribed verbatim and subjected to an inductive-deductive analysis approach based on the methodological guidance provided by Maykut & Morehouse (1994). Results revealed the integrated type of motivation to be the most evident among the runners. The data were organized into three broad categories that emerged through the interviews. The three categories are nationalism, economics and fame. Within each category there are themes or subcategories that emerged across various perceptions of the Ethiopian runners. The data revealed that among different types of motivation classified by the Self-Determination Theory (e.g., Deci & Ryan, 1985a, 2000; Ryan & Deci, 2002) there are multiple social factors that influence Ethiopian runners as well.

The Role of Ethnicity and Perceptions of the Family Environment in Self-determination among Students with Disabilities

Rodriguez, Raymond Joseph 01 July 2010 (has links)
Considerable research exists on the importance of self-determination in the transition of students with disabilities from high school. Much of this research has focused on conditions in the family that may nurture and support the development of self-determined motivation. These conditions, as described by Self -Determination Theory, include support for autonomy, relatedness and competence. Little data exists, however, on whether the conditions in the family environment associated with self-determination vary depending on students' ethnic backgrounds. Participants consisted of 138 Latino and Anglo students with disabilities enrolled in six high schools within a large urban school district. Self-determination was measured using the Arc Self-Determination Scale (Wehmeyer & Kelchner). Students' perceptions of their family environment were measured using six subscales from the Family Environment Scale (Moos & Moos). Latino students scored significantly higher than Anglo students in level of self-determination, but no significant differences were found in perceptions of the family environment between the two groups. Self-determination was regressed on the family environment subscales and no significant effect sizes were obtained for the sample as a whole (R2 = .044, F (6, 129) = .993, p = .433). However, comparisons between Latinos and Anglos on the relationship between perceptions of the family environment and self-determination suggested that family environments associated with Autonomy were more related to levels of self-determination in Anglo than in Latino students. Family environments associated with Cohesiveness, Achievement Orientation and Control were more highly related to level of self-determination for Latino than for Anglo students. The study has practical implications for parents and school practitioners when planning for transition and implementing strategies to develop self-determination for students with disabilities.

Kabell-Kjaer, Annicka January 2008 (has links)
This essay is about personal assistance for persons with considerable intellectual disabilities. The purpose with the study is: to examine personal assistance for individuals, who can`t speak for themselves, to examine how the individuals can determine and get influence into their assistance and how they can get help with it, to examine the role of an representative in relation to the serviceuser´s assistance and examine if there are factors of gender in the interviews. The chosen method is qualitative interviews. The interviews has been analysed through earlier research about personal assistance and theoretical perspectives like: influence, integration and citizenship and discussed through perspectives of social psychology. The main conclusions are: the influence the serviceusers can have is through persons who know them very well, the role of the representatives are indistinct, the serviceusers can´t determine their assistance themselves and need help with it from relatives, representatives, personal assistants and managers, the persons who know the serviceuser intimately are best to transform the needs to assistance. The factors of gender, are that there are more men as personal assistants than in the care of elderly, and the representatives are mostly men. The personal assistants appreciates the time they have for the serviceuser, the work can be lonely and demanding.
