Posouzení ekonomického rizika investora při realizaci investičního projektu / Valuation of Economic Risk of Investor in Realization of Investment ProjectRusínová, Alena January 2013 (has links)
This thesis is focused on assessing the economic risk for the investor in the implementation of the investment project. An investor's decision on the implementation of the project depends on the economic feasibility analysis identified outputs, these outputs are burdened by economic uncertainty, which raises the risk. Therefore, it is necessary to manage risk. The process of risk management consists of a phase of risk analysis and risk management phase. In the analysis phase is to identify risks, assessments of materiality and risk measurement. In the phase of risk management risks identified evaluate and establish measures to prevent their occurrence or impact.

Analýza ekonomických rizik investičního projektu / Analysis of Economic Risk of Investment ProjectMalý, Lukáš January 2015 (has links)
This thesis focuses on considering of the investor economic risk during the preparation of the investment project including the financial plan, its evaluation and suggestions of proposals for risk reduction. Correct decisions on implementation or rejection of the project are based on the realistic financial plan. However, expenses and revenues are only implied and are burdened with some variability that leads to the risk of failure to achieve the planned values. To assess the acceptability of certain risks for the investor, an analysis of risk factors was conducted. The factors are first identified for their significance and potential negative impact, then the most risk factors are evaluated and determined whether it is necessary to further tracking or the risk to the investor is acceptable.

Synchronous Reluctance Machine (SynRM) DesignRajabi Moghaddam, Reza January 2007 (has links)
The Synchronous Reluctance Motor (SynRM) has been studied. A suitable machine vector modelhas been derived. The influence of the major parameters on the motor performance has beentheoretically determined.Due to the complex rotor geometry in the SynRM, a suitable and simple combined theoretical(analytical) and finite element method has been developed to overcome the high number ofinvolved parameters by identifying some classified, meaningful, macroscopic parameters.Reducing the number of parameters effectively was one of the main goals. For this purpose, attempt has been made to find and classify different parameters and variables, based on availableliteratures and studies. Thus a literature study has been conducted to find all useful ideas andconcepts regarding the SynRM. The findings have been used to develop a simple, general, finiteelement aided and fast rotor design procedure. By this method rotor design can be suitablyachieved by related and simplified finite element sensitivity analysis. The procedure have been tested and confirmed. Then it is used to optimize a special rotor for aparticular induction machine (IM) stator. This optimization is mainly focused on the torquemaximization for a certain current. Torque ripple is also minimized to a practically acceptablevalue. The procedure can also be used to optimize the rotor geometry by considering the othermachine performance parameters as constrains. Finally full geometrical parameter sensitivity analysis is also done to investigate the influence ofthe main involved design parameters on the machine performance. Some main characteristics like magnetization inductances, power factor, efficiency, overloadcapacity, iron losses, torque and torque ripple are calculated for the final designs and in differentmachine load conditions.Effects of ribs, air gap length and number of barriers have been investigated by means of suitableFEM based method sensitivity analysis.

Mathematical modeling of the dynamic yarn path depending on spindle speed in a ring spinning processHossain, Mahmud, Telke, Christian, Abdkader, Anwar, Cherif, Chokri, Beitelschmidt, Michael 18 September 2019 (has links)
This paper presents a mathematical model to predict the distribution of yarn tension and the balloon shape as a function of spindle speed in the ring spinning process. The dynamic yarn path from the delivery rollers to the winding point on the cop has been described with a non-linear differential equation system. These equations have been integrated with a Runge–Kutta method using MATLAB software. Since the numerical solution of the equations strongly depends on initial values, an algorithm of sensitivity analysis has been developed to predict the right choice of initial values in order to find a stable solution. For model validation purposes, the yarn tension has been measured between delivery rollers and yarn guide. Furthermore, a high-speed camera has been used to capture the balloon shape at different spindle angular velocities in order to compare the theoretically determined balloon shape with the one that actually occurs on the machine.

Research in the area of public procurement has gained increasing attention with increasing interest in researching different evaluation methods for incoming tenders in procurement. The study analyzed the structure for procurement with a multi-criteria model for observation of changes in ranking and studied the importance of correct scoring. A sensitivity and robustness analysis were used as a tool to study the stability and the strength of a contracting entity's priorities. The purpose of this thesis was a study to determine if the ranking of tenders became more sensitive to the structure of the model or for each tender's evaluation, where it was found that the ability to correctly score points was more crucial than being critical of weights assigned to the criteria in the procurement, respectively. Relationship between price and quality turned out to be unknown to some extent, the connection could be determined after all tenders were submitted and accumulated points were available.

Quasi second-order methods for PDE-constrained forward and inverse problemsZehnder, Jonas 05 1900 (has links)
Computer-aided design (CAD), visual effects, robotics and many other fields such as computational biology, aerospace engineering etc. rely on the solution of mathematical problems. In most cases, computational methods are used to solve these problems. The choice and construction of the computational method has large impact on the results and the computational efficiency. The structure of the problem can be used to create methods, that are faster and produce qualitatively better results than methods that do not use the structure. This thesis presents three articles with three new computational methods tackling partial differential equation (PDE) constrained simulation and optimization problems.
In the first article, we tackle the problem of energy dissipation of common fluid solvers in visual effects. Fluid solvers are ubiquitously used to create effects in animated shorts and feature films. We present a time integration scheme for incompressible fluid dynamics which preserves energy better than many previous methods. The presented method has low overhead and can be integrated into a wide range of existing methods. The improved energy conservation leads to noticeably more dynamic animations.
We then move on to computational design whose goal is to harnesses computational techniques for the design process. Specifically, we look at sensitivity analysis, which computes the sensitivities of the simulation result with respect to the design parameters to automatically optimize the design. In this context, we present an efficient way to compute the Gauss-Newton search direction, leveraging modern sparse direct linear solvers. Our method reduces the computational cost of the optimization process greatly for a certain class of inverse design problems.
Finally, we look at topology optimization using machine learning techniques. We ask two questions: Can we do mesh-free topology optimization and can we learn a space of topology optimization solutions. We apply implicit neural representations and obtain structurally sensible results for mesh-free topology optimization by guiding the neural network during optimization process and adapting methods from finite element based topology optimization. Our method produces a continuous representation of the density field. Additionally, we present learned solution spaces using the implicit neural representation.
