Prostitutionen och sexköpets många ansikten

Emaus Günzel, Klara, Halldén, Ida January 2010 (has links)
This is a qualitative study with a descriptive approach. The main purpose with this study is to examine the view of prostitution and sex trade among Social worker students at Malmö Högskola. Our research questions are; To which extension and consideration is the view of male and female prostitutes divided? Is the view of the male and female sex buyer different among the students? How do the students explain and understand male and female prostitution? How do the students explain and understand the male and female sex buyer? To collect data and to be able to find out the students views and thoughts about the phenomenon we used focus groups with four to six students in each group. To categorize the material we used four topics; explanation/understanding models, the individuals behind the phenomenon, love/sex and intimacy, and the society’s responsibility. We analysed the discussions and the result of the focus groups with two main perspectives. The first perspective used in this study is structuralism and the second focuses on the individual. The conclusion of this study is that prostitution is always considered as something negative and self destructive despite of the gender. The students divide both female and male sex buyers into two groups, the rich and successful and the social outcast, but there are different explanation models for female and male sex buyers.

To fulfill someone else’s desire by running over one’s own” : A qualitative interview study on adolescents and young adults' sexual problems and the negative impact of social norms.

Langaard, Hanna, Gustavsson, Julia January 2021 (has links)
Adolescents and young adults are in a constant search for themselves, with a desire to fit in and a longing for unconditional love. The eternal belief in beeing immortal and ignoring consequences make young people vulnerable and exposed to various types of risk behaviors. In society today, a multitude of different norms abound affecting youth. For adolescents and young adults who have not yet acquired the right tools or knowledge, the environment becomes all the more difficult to interpret. The purpose of this qualitative interview study was to investigatewhich typical sexual problems are most prominent among teenagers and young adults today, and to investigate whether these problems may be a consequence of negative social impact. With a social psychological approach, this is studied through theories of social influence, social norms, conformity and sexual scripts. Ten semi-structured interviews with midwives and councilors at youth clinics as well as school nurses at junior high schools and high schools were conducted. The results show that destructive sexual norms lead to both mental and physical sexual problems and can be a consequence of both a lack of sex education, an insufficiently present adult world, social media and pornography.

Parler de sexualité à l'école : Controverses et luttes de pouvoir autour des frontières de la vie privée / Talking about sexuality at school : Controversies and power struggles about the boundaries of privacy

Le Mat, Aurore 22 February 2018 (has links)
How to talk about sexuality at school ? This controversial question was first officially answered in 1973 in a circular from the Ministry of National Education entitled « Information and sexual education ». This was the beginning of the public policy of sex education in the French school environment. Since then, the answers to this same question have evolved and have been the subject of clashes betweendifferent actors. If the battle line has been shifting, there has been a core stake : the definition of public and private in terms of sexuality. This Ph.D proposes to focus on this boundary that structures sex education policy from the 1970s to the present day, through the lens of three stories that unfold from the ministry's offices to the classroom. The first plot is that of a "war story", where troops of volunteers have been taking turns since the 1970s to define what the School is allowed to say or not to say to children. The second is an incursion into the heart of the strategies developed by state institutions to legitimize the role of the school in sex education. In the end, the third story appears to be a theatreplay, sometimes comic, sometimes tragic. Yet it does not take place on a stage but in front of the blackboard.

Courtemanche, Stéphanie 04 1900 (has links)
In the nineteenth century emerges a naturalizing criminology which defines poisoning as a female crime. The proposed study explores the relationship developed between the gender of the criminal person, the kind and the commission of his murderous act and that, through the analysis of trials for poisoning listed in Quebec from 1867 to 1900. Comparing the male poisoners’ trials to the female poisoners’ trials as well as the historic players to their life situations, the search runs through the events of its kind in the criminal methods employed by defendants and in the resulting speeches concerning them throughout the judicial process. The results are indicative of sexual norms in Quebec society at the end of the Victorian era and fit into the tradition of social regulation studies in Quebec.
