Centre de Bernstein stable et conjecture d'Aubert-Baum-Plymen-Solleveld / Stable Bernstein center and Aubert-Baum-Plymen-Solleveld conjectureMoussaoui, Ahmed 16 June 2015 (has links)
This thesis focus on links between the local Langlands correspondence and the Bernstein center. A framework was introduced by Vogan and developed by Haines : the stable Bernstein center. We start by extending the generalized Springer correspondence to the orthogonal group (which is disconnected). Then we state a conjecture about (complete) Langlands parameters of supercuspidal representations of a p-adic split group and we prove it for classical and linear groups thanks to the work of M\oe glin, Henniart and Harris and Taylor. Based on the work of Lusztig on generalized Springer correspondence, we define a cuspidal support map for complete Langlands parameters. Referring to some results of Heiermann, we get a Langlands parametrization of the smooth dual of classical groups. Moreover, we state "Galois" version of the Aubert-Baum-Plymen-Solleveld conjecture and we prove that with the previous results. It gives a new proof of the validity of the ABPS conjecture for classical groups and it provides explicit relations with Langlands correspondence. As a corrolary, we obtain the compatibility of the Langlands correspondence with parabolic induction for classical groups.

Bc. Jana Kvašová 2011 Digital libraries of commercial publishers Abstract (in English): The aim of the thesis is to analyze and compare the current state of selected digital libraries of the most significant commercial publishers of scientific literature (SpringerLink, Wiley Online Library, ScienceDirect). The first chapter describes digital libraries in general and points out some of the specifics of digital libraries owned by commercial publishers. Basic terms like "digital library", "digital source", "digital document" are also explained in this chapter. The core of the thesis is represented by three analyses of selected digital libraries; Wiley Online Library (http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/), SpringerLink ( http://www.springerlink.com/) and SciVerse ScienceDirect (http://www.sciencedirect.com/). The following chapter describes the connecting of digital libraries using the CrossRef service. The final chapter compares the main features of digital libraries and presents trends and possible future of this field. Key words (in English) digital library, publishers, Wiley Online Library, SciVerse ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, John Wiley and Sons, Elsevier, Springer, CrossRef, DOI

Bulvární tisk jako nový mediální fenomén v postkomunistických zemích / Tabloid as a new medial phenomenom in postcomunist countriesBalatková, Tereza January 2011 (has links)
Diploma thesis "Tabloid media as a new media phenomenon in post communist countries" deals with the tabloid media in comparison with serious media in post communist countries (examples: Poland and Czech Republic). My diploma thesis looks to the tabloid media as a new phenomenon which appeared in this area after the fall of communism. Diploma thesis searches for a historical and social background of the tabloid media with special regard to the middle European region. I chose Czech Republic and Poland as a examples of this region on which I can demonstrate how tabloid media born and developed and how is their situation on the print media market in both countries. First part of every country chapter starts with the historical and social background, which goes from early 18th century until these days. Second part is analytical. This part analysis data of readership and circulation in both countries to find out how is the real position nowadays of main tabloid media on the print media market in both countries. Diploma thesis also offers short content analysis of main tabloid media in Poland and Czech Republic and short graphic analysis of this tabloid media. Everything together putts a complex look to the development and nowadays position of the tabloid media in post communist countries Czech Republic...

Vývoj periodika Sport Magazín v letech 1997-2012 / Development of the Sport Magazin journal in the years 1997-2012Molitoris, Andreas January 2016 (has links)
This diploma thesis examines the journal Sport Magazine-a Friday supplement of Daily Sport-from 1997 to 2012. The introductory part of the thesis deals with the history of the journal and its publishing company, using MML research and other surveys to determine which sports were popular among readers and which themes readers prefer in the magazine. The thesis follows the development of the magazine at five-year intervals. It analyses the content of all magazine editions in each of the years 1997, 2002, 2007 and 2012, and attempts to define the range of the magazine - to which sports themes was the magazine devoted, regular sections, and what was the proportion of advertising. In the end, all years are compared and the thesis observes the development of the magazine over the entire fifteen-year period.

In 1976, Springer defined a correspondence making a link between the irreducible ordinary (characteristic zero) representations of a Weyl group and the geometry of the associated nilpotent variety. In this thesis, we define a modular Springer correspondence (in positive characteristic), and we show that the decomposition numbers of a Weyl group (for example the symmetric group) are particular cases of decomposition numbers for equivariant perverse sheaves on the nilpotent variety. We calculate explicitly the decomposition numbers associated to the regular and subregular classes, and to the minimal and trivial classes. We determine the correspondence explicitly in the case of the symmetric group, and show that James's row and column removal rule is a consequence of a smooth equivalence of nilpotent singularities obtained by Kraft and Procesi. The first chapter contains generalities about perverse sheaves with Z_l and F_l coefficients.

Frihet, jämlikhet, cyborgskap : Drömmen om den mänskligare människan / Freedom, equality, cyborghood : More human than humanMagnuson, Markus Amalthea January 2011 (has links)
This thesis explores the metaphoric cyborg concept, based on the classic essay "A Cyborg Manifesto" by Donna J. Haraway, through Claudia Springer and her analysis of cyborgs in popular culture, and in relation to Judith Butler and queer theory. By extending the cyborg term to include contemporary forms of cyborgship such as our internet lives and personas, I advocate discussion of philosophical matters concering man/machine-compounds today rather than tomorrow. The main purpose is to restore the cyborg concept as a meaningful analytic and philosophic tool for studying man/machine-relations, in a world where other theories concerning nature/culture, man/machine/animal, subject/object, and similar dichotomies, partly lack a technological perspective. Hopefully, this thesis manages to connect three decades of cyborg reflections from several points of view, posing interesting questions about our dealings and feelings towards our dear friends – the machines.
