The change in course recently taken by the Swedish Armed Forces results in an increased use of equipment, and thereby increased requirements of preventive maintenance. This paper aims to examine the current responsibilities for preventive maintenance in an army unit. The intended effect of this examination is to disclose possible flaws, and to help make routines for preventive maintenance more effective. The questions asked in this paper are; Who, in an army unit, is responsible for the routine maintenance? When is this responsibility valid? What demands does the technical service have on responsibilities for the routine maintenance? How are these demands met? How ought to be responsible for the routine maintenance? To answer these questions the author has chosen to use a descriptive method to show the current facts. A theorizing method is chosen to, from described facts, clarify the demands of the technical service on routine maintenance. A comparing method is chosen to compare responsibilities and the different responsibility-posts. This paper presents the following conclusions; Much of the current literature, concerning the subject, is in dire need of being synchronised and updated. Routines for how the supply-responsibility is to be most effectively distributed in the unit ought to be established. The user ought to be given more responsibility to choose what routine maintenance should be carried out.

Armén vs Flygvapnet : Uppföljning och hantering av materiella brister inom den tekniska tjänsten / The army vs. the air force : Handle and management of material failure within Technical Service

Björnermark, Jonathan January 2010 (has links)
The Technical Service is one of the cornerstones that make the Swedish armed force operational. Handle and manage failure within technical materials are, among other tasks, something that technical service needs to deal with. The aim with this paper is to examine two different systems that handle the follow-up of different failures, one system from the army and one system from the airforce. Based on the aim, the systems will be compared and discussed through different points of view, focusing on the advantage and disadvantage. Looking at the background description of the systems, it shows that ARGUS and DA go two different tracks when they do a follow up. ARGUS focus on the follow up of the material, while DA focuses on the follow up in an individual aspect. Further in the background, it shows that, the same procedure isused in the report process, a four-step-model. The background is followed up by an analysis of two different cases where the follow up systems is the main point and after that, a discussion around the result was made. During the discussion, the writer of this paper made up some conclusions, and those are as follows. In the beginning, the ARGUS system was complicated to use. The fact that you needed to type in the report twice in two different kinds of systems made it complicated to use. However, this problem, were fixed due the integration of the system within another system. In the DA system, everyone that uses this system needs to be loyal against the system, due the lack of connection between report and report writer. As a summary of the whole paper, the writer recommends a system that has both of these parts, in other words, both individual follow up and materials follow up, might make the system more effective.</p></p>

Using the sociotechnical systems approach for analysing nondeterministic project progress: a conceptual exploration : A conceptual exploration

Ingen Housz, Maarten January 2016 (has links)
This thesis proposes the use of a sociotechnical systems approach for analysing project management in nondeterministic project progress. The academic context of the research covers the domain of general systems theory, more specifically sociotechnical systems, and that of project management. The empirical part of the research comprises of a questionnaire spread amongst project managers in technical service firms in the built environment sector. The research shows that there are research opportunities in project management to which the sociotechnical approach to temporary project organisations can contribute.

Do you mind talking to a chatbot? : A quantitative study about how chatbots affect the digital customer experience within Swedish banks.

Hultman, Anna, Zarki, Mikaela January 2021 (has links)
This bachelor's degree thesis aims to increase the understanding of how chatbots affect the digital customer experience within Swedish banks. Furthermore, this study examines how bank chatbot's technical quality affects the digital customer experience. In this thesis, the authors have chosen to use a deductive approach and a quantitative research strategy. Moreover, the authors used the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program to process the collected quantitative data from the questionnaires. The thesis empirical findings were analyzed and discussed in correlation to previous research to strengthen the research results. The thesis empirical findings demonstrate that 42.9% of the respondents agreed with the statement; My bank's chatbot technology quality improved my customer satisfaction. Moreover, the correlation analysis showed that customer satisfaction and customer satisfaction linked to technical quality had a strong positive correlation between the concepts. Swedish banks could use the information to develop further their chatbots' technical quality, which would reduce customer service costs and influence how customers visit the bank. The thesis research results can also be applied and used by other industries that want to improve or implement chatbots in their digital business.

Alvesparr, Oliver January 2018 (has links)
When the Armed Forces use their material under warlike conditions, both persons and material can come to harm. How human remains are to be disposed of from a damage vehicle is unknown today. The problem of managing human remains is not found in technical service regulations or any other control. The issue of human remains in an object can be an issue both for the logistical, medical, police, legal, technical service or a combination of those. The man in charge needs to keep in mind three different steps, such as taking care of the deceased, cleaning the equipment and finally repairing the equipment. The purpose of the essay is to investigate how the management of human remains in scene of an accident should be regulated. The work is limited to studying how human remains should suitably be handled by the Swedish Armed Forces, from when a person has been injured or killed in a vehicle, until the vehicle can be repaired. The methods used for data collecting are interview, questionnaire and literature study. The results of the study show that indirectly, almost all measures on a scene of an accident and technical response time are affected due to human remains. There is a need to take care of the deceased body and to clean the equipment, which is lacking or no routines for. The procedures available are too general to provide support to the decision maker. Who to clean and how to implement it within the Armed Forces is still unknown. The author has developed seven different recommendations for further studies
