This work aims to verify the impacts that the reversing process in the results of quality and productivity produced in textile companies in Cearà which adopted this strategy. After analyzing the value chains, many companies that at first outsourced are now rethinking their decisions and when needed taking an inverse approach, that
is, not outsourcing their activities any more. That is why it is important to understand what are the main factors that lead to this process. The research related to the
outcome is of descriptive and exploring nature; regarding the approach to the problem, it is of quality concerning. Based on bibliographic research that subsidized the referential theory proceeded further investigation giving support to the empirical analyses. Semi-structured Questioner and interviews were carried out with executives managers and operatives in three textile companies of great capacity in CearÃ, based in deliberate exemplification. A History of the Itasca Cotton Manufacturing CompanyRamsey, David O. 12 1900 (has links)
"This study concerns the examination of the historical importance and achievements of a small cotton mill located in the agrarian Texas community of Itasca, Texas. Newspaper clippings and numerous interviews with former mill employees and Itasca citizens supplied factual material pertaining to the Itasca mill; however, company records provided the basic research material for this paper... The company offices have since been destroyed, and most of the records are now in the Southwest Collection at Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas...In the final chapter, the author concludes that this mill, like numerous other southern mills, fell under the influence of northern companies because of undercapitalization which severely limited available operating capital. Even though the mill eventually prospered, it never managed to free itself from the influence of northern commission companies. In the final analysis, the Itasca company proved to be different from other cotton duck mills in the South in its development of a line of unique decorative fabrics sold by mail as well as through thirteen company-owned stores."-- leaf 1.

This study tries to focus on gender relations and age issues among workers who worked in the main textile mills of the Federal District between 1891 and 1930. The textile industry, in this period, employed considerable labor of women and children, considering them as possessing important characteristicsto dealing with the raw material and machinery, such as delicacy, patience, flexibility, smallness, etc. However, through the speeches of militant workers, we noticed that some workers felt threatened and troubled by the presence of the female and child labor force because they believed that they lowered wages and were passive before their exploitations, which would weaken the protest movements. Looking to problematize this perspective, this research seeks to portray women and children as subjects of their own history, aware of the explorations to which they were subjected and active agents in strikes and protests for better living and working conditions. For the bosses, female and child labor was interesting and they deployed social services in an attempt to keep women in factories after marriage and children even against the public power. The sexual division of labor and the factory discipline demarcated spaces, behaviors and established a hierarchy based on notions of "qualification". However, the workers sought to resist before forms of control and fought for their demands inside and outside the factories.
