This research presents as a study theme the Portuguese language teachers perfor-mance in the hypermodern world. It seems that a new teachers profile can be ob-served through the language and strategies that employ in the use at blogs. There-fore, a limitation of this new profile, in contrast to the profile of the traditional teacher of the classroom became necessary. The objective of this research was to determine whether the language area of teacher blogs meet the needs of learners, adapting their language to the virtual environment. This is justified because it is a new and different playing field of the classroom, as well being an environment that demands a more entrepreneurial profile. With the classrooms virtualization for high, the discus-sion revolves around what would be priority for the learning process of students and would be purely personal interest. With that in mind, was formulated the research question: To act through blogs, teachers prepare enough, watching the language learning programs and adapting the latter to the digital universe, with proper use of hypertext, the usability criteria and the interactivity criteria and the virtual communica-tion? This study was based on authors of TIC (interactivity, usability, hypertext elements etc.), Sociology (hypermodernity subject, hypermodern etc.), Applied Linguis-tics (genres, communication, language etc.), and Education (training teachers). This is supported by official documents published by the MEC were consulted. In this case, in addition to literature for theoretical reasons, we opted for the methodology of quantitative and qualitative research, useful for the development of this research. The results shows that among the main functions of the teacher and those actions that point to a more entrepreneurial profile, these teachers already innovate revolutionize and create different ways for your act. Perhaps, the weakness still lies in the fact that teachers are in the fact that teachers are in phase of transition technology, with requires having something to do.

fato a aprendizagem. / The National Curriculum Parameters have as one of the general objectives for elementary school students to be able to `know how to use different sources of information and technological resources to acquire and build knowledge (BRAZIL, 1997, p. 69). Given this premise and the emergence of the use of information and communication technologies in everyday social life, education has also been the target of technological nature solutions, which can provide reference materials for teachers
and students through the use of Information and Communication Technologies and the development of a reflective work on digital language. In this way, this study is justified by the need of working the Information and Communication Technologies in school environments and, more precisely, with the digital language. The objective of the research is to survey the online platform features Curriculum + with respect to the concepts of Hypertextuality, Usability and Interactivity and point out some factors that can assist teachers in the use of this platform with regard to Portuguese. As a theoretical basis, the studies on the use of Information and Communication Technologies in the school environment are used, as well as studies on the language concepts that can help the theoretical basis for the use of digital language. Then studies on some characteristics of the Information and Communication Technologies are used as Hypertextuality, Usability and Interactivity. The results showed that the Currículo+ platform can become an important support tool for the Portuguese teacher. However, they also point to the need of observing the quality of digital resources available so that the resource really assists the learning process.

Previous issue date: 2012-11-22 / The aim of this thesis was to identify and analyze teacher formation on administration course and the use he makes of Information Technology and Communication (ICT) to form the professional administrator, in a scenario marked by uncertainty, and the continued growth of competitiveness and requirements. It is known that teachers who teach the course have the function of enabling these professionals to the labor market, thus this thesis set out to identify what is needed for faculty teaching in the course of administration, in this society full of technology and prepare students for the new demands. This is the question that motivates the existence of this investigation, which involved teachers with varying ages, and students attending the seventh semester of this course, all of a particular institution of higher education, located in the city of Presidente Prudente, upstate São Paulo. The methodology used was a qualitative approach, using the case study method as a driver and the interview as an instrument for data collection and content analysis. The results showed that technological development has brought new requirements to enter and stay in teaching the course of administration, and the desired profile of teacher that our time requires as: never stop studying and learning, pedagogical and didactic knowing; have experience in research, market and classroom; hold teach skills and specific to the teaching in administration course; watch for anything that arises again, as well as the application forms of ICT in order to contribute to the process teaching and learning and assist in the construction of knowledge both inside and outside the classroom.

The subject of this thesis is the management of authority records for persons. The research was conducted in an archival context in transition, which was marked by the evolution of international standards of archival description and a shift towards the application of knowledge graphs. The aim of this thesis is to explore how the archival sector can benefit from the developments concerning Linked Data in order to ensure the sustainable management of authority records. Attention is not only devoted to the creation of the records and how they are made available but also to their maintenance and their interlinking with other resources. The first part of this thesis addresses the state of the art of the developments concerning the international standards of archival description as well as those regarding the Wikibase ecosystem. The second part presents an analysis of the possibilities and limits associated with an approach in which the free software Wikibase is used. The analysis is based on an empirical study carried out with data of the Study and Documentation Centre War and Contemporary Society (CegeSoma). It explores the options that are available to institutions that have limited resources and that have not yet implemented Linked Data. Datasets that contain information of people linked to the Second World War were used to examine the different stages involved in the publication of data as Linked Open Data. The experiment carried out in the second part of the thesis shows how a knowledge base driven by software such as Wikibase streamlines the creation of multilingual structured authority data. Examples illustrate how these entities can then be reused and enriched by using external data in interfaces aimed at the general public. This thesis highlights the possibilities of Wikibase, particularly in the context of data maintenance, without ignoring the limitations associated with its use. Due to its empirical nature and the formulated recommendations, this thesis contributes to the efforts and reflections carried out within the framework of the transition of archival metadata.

The purpose of this thesis is to study the links between the intangible reward and voluntary turnover components in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector in Canada. Using Blau’s social exchange theory (1964) and Balkin and Bannister’s resource dependance theory (1994), and the empirical-literature, this thesis proposes two general hypotheses as well as seven sub-hypotheses. The first general hypothesis suggests that intangible reward is associated with lower voluntary turnover. Regarding the seven sub-hypotheses, they come from this first general hypothesis. These are the seven components of intangible reward that are analyzed in this thesis, which are the number of hours worked per week, on average, the possibility of a part-time work schedule, the average number of hours in the normal work week, the presence of a compressed work week, the presence of a summer schedule, the possibility of teleworking and the presence of structured training programs. The second general hypothesis suggests that the number of intangible reward practices offered is associated with a lower voluntary turnover. The cross-sectional data used in this study come from companies operating in the ICT sector in Canada. In partnership with TECHNOcompétences, data collection was carried by Normandin Beaudry’s firm, from January to April 2016. One hundred twenty five surveys were distributed to as many organizations. These surveys were completed by human resources directors from these organizations. Ten of the organizations did not report any data regarding voluntary turnover. Thus, the data of 115 questionnaires were used and analyzed within the framework of this study. The two general research hypotheses are invalidated. Indeed, for the first hypothesis, none of the seven sub-hypotheses (1a to 1g) could be confirmed. The results were not significant. Regarding the second hypothesis, the relationship is not significant, also invalidating the Hypothesis 2. In conclusion, this thesis reiterates the importance for human resources managers and their organizations to offer diversified intangible reward practices that are adapted to the workforce reality that makes up the labor market. It also aims to recall the need to have a complete global compensation offer, where intangible and tangible rewards are complementary.

Trauma Informed Care Training Initiative: Implementation Study in AppalachiaRaza, Mattie V 01 May 2021 (has links)
This study aims to evaluate the implementation of Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) trainings in Johnson City, Tennessee, and the surrounding Appalachian area. Previous TIC trainees were sent an email survey asking them if they had followed through with their plan to implement the training at their place of work or in other areas of their lives. The response rate for this study was 2%, possibly due to extraneous variables such as the Coronavirus Pandemic and the lag time between the initial training and survey follow-up. The responses that were analyzed indicated promise for the practical implementation of TIC concepts at the companies involved in the training initiative. Additional research is needed in order to further analyze TIC implementation.
