Implementering av Agenda 2030 : En kvalitativ studie om tjänstepersoners uppfattningar angående förutsättningarna för implementering av Agenda 2030 i sörmländska kommuner

Kumpula, Lena January 2020 (has links)
Nyckelord: folkhälsa, hållbar utveckling, kommun, kvalitativ studie, tjänsteperson, top-down implementering / The Agenda 2030 is an action plan for global sustainability divided into17 goals and three dimensions of social, ecological and economical sustainability. The social dimension of sustainability affects the determinants of health and can therefore contribute to better public health. The aim of this study is to examine official workers perceptions of the conditions to implement Agenda 2030 in Swedish municipalities.  The selection method was strategic as the respondents were to answer questions about their experiences according to their work with implementing Agenda 2030. For the study, a qualitative approach was used with semi-structured interviews to collect data. The data were analyzed according to qualitative content analysis.  The results show that supporting factors such as political will, an ongoing action plan, cooperation opportunities, available resources, competence, clear management and governance simplified the work with Agenda 2030. Hindering factors inthe process where lack of competence, lack of distinct management and guidance. The corona pandemic has had a negative impact on the economy and organization.  Development opportunities are to continue with the ongoing work and develop management by objectives and the integration of Agenda 2020 in the regular operations.  The conclusion of the study is that the municipalities were in different phases of the implementation process and therefore conditions varied. The municipalities need to pay attention to the supporting factors and work with the hindering factors together with development opportunities to create good conditions for local implementation of Agenda 2030.  Key words: Municipality, Official Worker, Public Health, Qualitative Interviews, Sustainable Development, Top-Down Implementation

Composition of Tree Series Transformations

Maletti, Andreas 12 November 2012 (has links)
Tree series transformations computed by bottom-up and top-down tree series transducers are called bottom-up and top-down tree series transformations, respectively. (Functional) compositions of such transformations are investigated. It turns out that the class of bottomup tree series transformations over a commutative and complete semiring is closed under left-composition with linear bottom-up tree series transformations and right-composition with boolean deterministic bottom-up tree series transformations. Moreover, it is shown that the class of top-down tree series transformations over a commutative and complete semiring is closed under right-composition with linear, nondeleting top-down tree series transformations. Finally, the composition of a boolean, deterministic, total top-down tree series transformation with a linear top-down tree series transformation is shown to be a top-down tree series transformation.

Beslutsstöd för Prissättning av Lösningar : Ett Toppstyrt Ramverk för Prissättning i Telekomindustrin / Decision Support for the Pricing of Solutions : A Top-Down Framework for Pricing in the Telecom Industry

ENGMAN, MICHAELA, ROSANDER, OSCAR January 2016 (has links)
Companies selling large and complex solutions often find that the process of configuring and pricing the solutions is a very time-consuming process. Due to the high degree of competition within the telecom industry, where the company offering the best solution to the most competitive price wins the deal, it is essential for companies to be responsive and able to  ework the price of their proposal. The difference between being able to offer a new solution  rice, that is still profitable for the company, and not being able to could be that the company wins or loses the deal. In such a business environment it is of high importance to be able to determine how the change of a solution price affects the products in the proposal in order to ensure that the margin of the proposal aligns with the organizational target margin. At Ericsson, the distribution of a solution price is determined manually after a deal has been won leading to internal discussions of how the price should be distributed between the stakeholders of the proposal. For those in charge of pricing the proposal this means that there is a need to discuss with the respective business unit at the company whether or not there is a possibility to adjust the prices of the proposal and in such a case how much they can be adjusted. In this thesis we compare the existing literature on pricing strategies and pricing large complex solutions. We perform a case study at Ericsson to establish how a top-down pricing framework could be designed to distribute the price of a proposal to the various products in the proposal. We achieve this by creating an internal prioritization of products and thereby we are able to determine how this should affect a price distribution over the entire proposal by calculating the weight of the price steering factors compared to the other products in the proposal.

Teaching Listening skills with UR’s miniseries : A study of 2 miniseries’ pedagogical material’s approaches to listening comprehension strategies

Tornberg, Johanna January 2021 (has links)
The aim of this study was to find out how Utbildningsverket’s (UR) pedagogical material, belonging to two miniseries aimed at upper secondary school, use top-down- and bottom-up strategies to teach listening comprehension. For this purpose, a case study method was used where the materials worked as the case to be studied. Furthermore, the approaches that were used for this study were based on taxonomies established by previous research: First, a taxonomy of strategies for listening comprehension illustrated by Graham and Santos (2015). Secondly, a taxonomy relating to listening types, illustrated by Field (2009). With these taxonomies and the English 5 syllabus, the materials were studied as a qualitative case study. The results show that the two criteria in the English 5 syllabus, which relate to strategies, are addressed within the teacher’s guide of both miniseries. Moreover, My English Mistakes and The Great Debate, both implicitly instruct students to use various strategies. The results also show that the top-down strategies are overrepresented in frequency but less varied in listening type variation. However, the strategies that are instructed are not explained or motivated in the materials.

Determining how risk effects predator-prey interactions of marine communities in the nearshore environment of South Bimini, The Bahamas

Brancart, Kendall 30 April 2019 (has links)
Predators often have strong top-down effects on ecosystems and are considered a priority for conservation and management. Predator activity can influence prey distribution, abundance, and foraging behaviors and are likely to influence habitat by impacting ecological and environmental characteristics as well as presence of competitor species. There are knowledge gaps of the functional diversity of fish assemblages, non-consumptive predator effects, and environmental effects on fish assemblages. With this study, effects of top marine predators, such as sharks and great barracuda, on diversity and abundance of prey communities were examined in putative low (north side of South Bimini = lagoon) and high-risk (south side of South Bimini = flat) areas around South Bimini, The Bahamas. Baited remote underwater video surveys (BRUVs) deployed in the nearshore habitat captured abundance and potential predator-prey interactions. Predator and prey abundances at each site were compared to determine potential risk affect within high and low risk environments. A general baseline of predator and prey species was established throughout six months of observation (January- June 2018). Results showed a difference in prey communities between high and low risk habitats. Teleost abundance was highest on the south side of South Bimini. There were no differences in flight behavior of prey from predator (sharks vs barracuda). Longitude, depth, temperature, salinity, and dissolved oxygen were significantly linked to biotic assemblages. The identification of significant factors influencing predator-prey interaction is important in understanding community composition and for future implementation of conservation and management practices pertaining to nearby mangrove and seagrass habitats.

Voices of Vicars and Priests : A Comparative Study of Religious Leadership According to Vicars and Priests of the Catholic Church in Sweden and the Evangelical-Lutheran Church of Sweden

Granberg, Lisa January 2023 (has links)
Between February 1st and March 16th 2023 sixteen qualitative research interviews wereconducted with deans, vicars and priests of both the Catholic Church in Sweden and theEvangelical-Lutheran Church of Sweden with the aim to compare how they look at their religiousleadership, and what their answers might say about their respective theological traditions using asuggested theory called Comparative Lived Theology. The main research findings rendered fromthese interviews may be divided into the following three sections: firstly, top-down and bottom-upleadership approaches in a religious setting is descriptive of the structure of the religiousorganisations. Secondly, the fact that Evangelical-Lutheranism is a majority religious tradition inSweden sets it apart from minority traditions such as Catholicism, and this affects the religiousleadership. Thirdly, the interviews generated a notion that party politics plays a different role in thestructure of the Evangelical-Lutheran Church of Sweden than it does in the Catholic Church in Sweden.

”We used to be brothers. What has happened to us?" : A qualitative case study on civilian opposition to international peacebuilding in Mali.

Weckström Breidenstein, Regina January 2023 (has links)
Abstract The international UN-led peacebuilding mission MINUSMA has been deployed in Mali since 2013 and was initially rather successful. The mission managed to support the government with stabilization and a peace agreement that ended the conflict between the north and the south. However, since 2017 the situation has deteriorated in the presence of MINUSMA. Violence has escalated and several new communal conflicts have emerged primarily in the central regions where Islamist groups have gained ground, and there have been two more coup d’états and the government have been carrying out human rights violations against civilians. By 2023 the people of Mali and the current military government has demanded the mission to withdraw and leave the country. This study set out to understand why civilians oppose international peacebuilding and made a comparative case study of three regions in Mali, Koulikoro in the south, Mopti in the central and Gao in northeastern Mali looking at how opposition against MINUSMA has changed between 2017-2020. The study found that reasons for opposition are multilayered and stem from both historical and contemporary events and experiences. Moreover, the study found that despite substantial research on the importance of including civil society in peacebuilding processes, most civilians, groups and communities have been left out of the peace process and instead the approach has been mainly top-down with MINUSMA supporting the Malian government. The problematic aspect of this is that the government did not support its own people. The study suggest that international peacebuilding must be more context-sensitive and understand the history and root causes of the conflicts to successfully support a country with peacebuilding in order to avoid a situation where the civilian population oppose the mission instead of being included, engaged and committed to the peace process.
