Šiame darbe nagrinėjami subtitravimo kaip audiovizualaus vertimo metodo ypatumai. Darbo tikslas yra ištyrinėti dokumentinio filmo “Super Didelis Aš” (2004) kalbos ir materialisios kultūros perteikimą per subtitruotą filmo vertimą siekiant nustatyti vertimo procese vartojamas transformacijas ir klaidas. Teorinėje straipsnio dalyje apžvelgiami subtitravimo ypatumai, kultūrinio vertimo samprata, bei specifiniai materialiosios kultūros (maisto) aspektai. Emipirinėje darbo dalyje aprašoma tyrimo eiga ir metodai. Filmo vertimo analizė parodė jog dėl Anglų ir Lietuvių kalbų skirtumo, bei subtitravimo kaip audiovizualaus vertimo metodo ypatumai, apsprendė vertimo transformacijų vartoseną. / The aim of the thesis is to investigate the transference of language and material culture of the documentary film “Super Size Me” (2004) through the audiovisual translation method of subtitling in order to identify translation transformations used in the process of translation. Theoretical part of the work concentrates on the peculiarities of subtitling method, explores the notion of cultural translation and specific aspects of material culture, food culture in particular. The process of the research and methods are described in the empirical part of the work. The analysis of the film translation revealed, that the usage of the translation transformations was determined by the differences between English and Lithuanian languages as well as by the peculiarities of the subtitled text.

The research is aimed to define and investigate the peculiarities of lexical translation transformations in the novel "The Devil Wears Prada" and its Lithuanian translation. In the practical part of the work theoretical material on translation theory and translation varieties is presented. Furthermore, three approaches towards the types of equivalence are presented and translation transformations or shifts are reviewed and three approaches towards them are introduced. Also, the classification of lexical translation transformations the empirical part of the present research is based on is presented. Four translation transformations are analysed in the practical part of the work, namely, concretization, generalization, antonymic translation and compensation. Also, some of the selected examples of lexical translation transformations from Lauren Weisberger’s novel "The Devil Wears Prada" and its Lithuanian translation are presented and analysed. / Šio darbo tikslas - apibrėžti ir ištirti lekzinių vertimo transformacijų ypatybes romane "The Devil Wears Prada" ir jo lietuviškame vertime. Praktinėje darbo dalyje pristatoma teorinė medžiaga susijusi su vertimo teorija ir vertimo rūšimis. Pateikiami trys požiūriai į ekvivalentiškumo tipus taip pat apžvelgiamos vertimo transformacijos ir pateikiami trys požiūriai apžvelgiantys vertimo transformacijas. Taip pat pristatoma leksinių vertimo transformacijų klasifikacija, kuria remiamasi praktinėje darbo dalyje. Analizuojamos keturios vertimo transformacijos, būtent konkretizacija, generalizacija, antoniminis vertimas ir kompensacija. Taip pat pateikiami ir analizuojami Lauren Weisberger romane "The Devil Wears Prada" ir jo lietuviškame vertime rasti ir surinkti leksinių vertimo transformacijų pavyzdžiai.

В данном диссертационном исследовании анализируется опыт использования переводческих трансформаций в пособии Кэмерона Адэйра по выходу из игровой зависимости “Respawn”, впервые переведённого на русский язык, с позиции двух выбранных для сопоставления трансформационных типологий: Ж.-П. Вине и Ж. Дарбельне и Л. С. Бархударова. Актуальность исследования обуславливается общественным интересом к текстам и переводам, связанным с феноменом высокоскоростного интернета, к видеоиграм, а также необходимостью систематизации теорий переводческих трансформаций. / This master’s thesis analyzes the use of translation transformations in the first-time translated Cameron Adair’s “Respawn” manual on how to quit videogames. The analysis is conducted from the standpoint of two translation theories: J.-P. Vinay and J. Darbelnet’s and L. S. Barkhudarov’s. The importance of the study is determined by the social interest for texts and translations related to high-speed Internet and videogames, as well as by the necessity for translation transformation theories systematization.

Переводческие трансформации являются ключевым инструментом, позволяющим осуществить переход от сообщения на исходном языке к сообщению на переводящем языке. Вопросом разработки понятия, а также построения типологий данных преобразований занимались многие отечественные и зарубежные исследователи в области лингвистики. За XX век был сформулирован ряд подходов, помогающих классифицировать трансформации по разным критериям. Однако, теоретики переводоведения так и не пришли к единому мнению по вопросу типологизации трансформаций. В то же время существует довольно ограниченное число работ, рассматривающих их применение на примере публицистического функционального стиля. По этой причине дальнейшее развитие теорий переводческих трансформаций, а также их применение на практике и представляет особый исследовательский интерес. Данная работа посвящена выявлению особенностей, соответствий, достоинств и недостатков трансформационных типологий Ж. -П. Вине и Ж. Дарбельне и В. Н. Комиссарова при их применении для перевода заголовков новостной службы BBC на русский язык. / Translation transformations are the key tool to make the transition from the message in the source language to the message in the target language. The development of the concept, as well as the construction of typologies of transformations has been elaborated by many domestic and foreign researchers in the field of linguistics. During the 20th century, a number of approaches have been developed to help classify transformations according to different criteria. However, linguistic theorists have never come to a consensus on the typology of translation transformations. At the same time, there are quite a limited number of works that consider their application on the example of the publicistic functional style. For this reason, further development of the theories of translation transformations as well as their application in practice is of research interest. This paper is devoted to identifying the features, correlations, advantages and disadvantages of the transformational typologies of J.-P. Vinay, J. Darbelnet and V. N. Komissarov when applying them to the translation of BBC news headlines into Russian.

Данная научная работа выполнена в рамках транслятологического анализа документальных, или неигровых кинофильмов и их заголовков с английского языка на русский и с русского языка на английский. Цель исследования заключается в определении и изучении основных переводческих стратегий и приёмов при пеpеводе документального кинo. Основной метод, используемый в работе, -- сопоставительный, на базе которого подготовлена практическая часть магистерской диссертации. В научном исследовании уделяется внимание переводу при помощи субтитров как одному из самых востребованных способов перевода. Также в работе освещается вопрос о прагматической адаптации перевода кинофильмов и выборе правильных переводческих стратегий: эквивалентный перевод, различные виды переводческих трансформаций. Поскольку основу практической части магистерской диссертации составляет подборка неигровых научно-популярных фильмов с содержанием узко специализированной терминологии, необходимо знание, понимание и владение терминами по соответствующей теме. В настоящей работе изучены и подготовлен перевод документальных фильмов, относящихся к военной тематике («The Hero»), к социально- политической («Один день») и к естественно-научной («ALMA – A Window into the Mysteries of the Universe»). Так, основная сложность выявлена в переводе на лексическом уровне, неразрывно связанным со стилистикой текста, а также и на уровне грамматики в силу различного строения русского и английского языков. / The master’s thesis is aimed at analyzing the specific features and characteristics of the translation of documentaries along with their titles from English into Russian and vice versa. The primary purpose of this study is to determine the main translation strategies which are used in the translation of non-fiction films. Data for this research were obtained from the real present-day film projects: «The Hero», (2013); «Один день», (2012); and «ALMA – A Window into the Mysteries of the Universe», (2014). The research consists of three theoretical chapters and three practical ones. The comparative and contrastive methods are the key approaches in the thesis, and the practical part of the study is prepared in accordance with them. Moreover, the research focuses on the subtitling translation as one of the most popular techniques. The thesis accent falls on the pragmatic adaptation as well. The results show that for popular science films that are devoted in this case to various themes ranging from the military service and soldiering to natural and scientific projects contain plenty of terms. Consequently, these documentaries demand from a translator special knowledge and deep comprehension. Thus, the most obvious conclusions of the research are the difficulty in the documentary translation on the lexical level that is closely connected with the stylistics of the film text and also on the level of the grammar that is attributed to the differences between the Russian and English languages.

Выпускная квалификационная работа имеет своей целью выявить ключевые характеристики индивидуального стиля поэтического творчества Эмили Дикинсон и особенности их передачи на русском языке. Первая глава посвящена теоретическим основам изучения отражения индивидуального стиля автора в художественном переводе. В главе рассматриваются основные научные подходы к изучению понятия «индивидуальный стиль», выделяются его компоненты, изучается проблема передачи индивидуального стиля в поэтическом переводе, а также перечисляются и описываются методы и методики сравнительного анализа переводов поэтических произведений. Во второй главе рассматривается идиостиль Эмили Дикинсон в русских переводах. В начале представляется методика отбора исследовательского материала, а далее анализируются 3 стихотворения (“The Soul selects her own Society”, “I died for Beauty – but was scarce”, “The Sky is low – the Сlouds are mean”) в оригинале и их переводы на русский язык. В последнем разделе главы также разбираются виды трансформаций оригиналов в переводах, что позволяет обобщить наблюдения о ключевых характеристиках индивидуального стиля Дикинсон и особенностей их передачи на русском языке. / Master's thesis aims to identify the key characteristics of the individual style of Emily Dickinson's poetic work and the features of their transmission in Russian. The first chapter is devoted to the theoretical foundations of studying the reflection of the author's individual style in literary translation. The chapter discusses the main scientific approaches to the study of the concept of "individual style", identifies its components, studies the problem of transferring individual style in poetic translation, and lists and describes methods and techniques for comparative analysis of translations of poetic works. The second chapter deals with the idiostyle of Emily Dickinson in Russian translations. At the beginning, the methodology for selecting research material is presented, and then 3 poems are analyzed (“The Soul selects her own Society”, “I died for Beauty – but was scarce”, “The Sky is low – the Clouds are mean”) in the original and their translations into Russian. The last section of the chapter also analyzes the types of transformations of the originals in translations, which allows to summarize the observations about the key characteristics of Dickinson's individual style and the features of their transmission in Russian.

Диссертационное исследование посвящено изучению методов обучения переводу в контексте делового английского языка. Работа включает в себя теоретический аспект с последующим его применением на практике. Экспериментальная часть исследования посвящена апробации традиционных и инновационных методов обучения переводу среди студентов. / The dissertation research is devoted to the study of methods of teaching translation in the context of business English. The work includes a theoretical aspect with its subsequent application in practice. The experimental part of the study is devoted to testing traditional and innovative methods of teaching translation among students.
