Využití vysokotlakého chlazení na dlouhotočných automatech / Use of High-pressure Cooling System for Long-turn Machines

Kinc, Jiří January 2015 (has links)
The thesis describe high-pressure cooling system and present experiment, when is using this cooling technology for turning cylindrical workpiece to long-turn machines. Workpiece manufactured using high-pressure cooling system is compares with Workpiece manufactured using low-pressure cooling system. Results are analyzed, evaluated and plotted in a single graphical relationships. The thesis is completed the analysis, discussion and recommendations regarding the using of high-pressure cooling.

Multifunkční obráběcí centrum pro rotační i nerotační obrobky / Multifunctional machining centers for machining rotating and prismatic parts

Grätz, Tomáš January 2014 (has links)
In this master's thesis is elaborated lay-out, calculations and technical drawings to multi-function machining center. Here is applied solution with vertical carousel combined together with the upper gantry milling machine. The aim of my work is to design a compact milling ram allowing turning and milling in deep slots or next to the tall walls of the workpiece. Furthermore here is elaborated lay-out of automatic tool change with magazine and lay-out of clamping exchangeable milling heads. Emphasis is placed on the manufacturability and reliability of the whole structure.

Language requirements and constructions of belonging : A critical WPR policy analysis of the proposal for language and civic knowledge requirements for Swedish citizenship

Hartnor, Sofie January 2021 (has links)
This study provides a feminist critical examination of the proposal to add a language and civic knowledge requirement for citizenship acquisition and the ideas of belonging that are constructed within the proposal. The analysis has been made with Carol Bacchi’s ‘What’s the problem represented to be’-approach to policy analysis, examining what is represented as the ‘problem’ in the proposal, which assumptions and presuppositions that underlie this representation of the ‘problem’, what is silenced or unproblematized in this representation of the problem, an the potential effects that this representation of the problem can have. The analysis shows how the ‘problem’ in the proposal for language and civic knowledge requirements is represented as a ‘lack of knowledge and participation’ that’s been made possible due to a ‘lack of demands’. Further, the representation of the ‘problem’ constituting the ‘solution’ of the proposed requirements is individualized and the expected exclusionary effects of the proposal unproblematized. Finally, I argue that the representations of the ‘problem’ construct ideas of belonging which are predominantly about assessment of eligibility to be allowed entry into the ‘collectivity’ of Swedish citizenship.

Intermediary System Using Image Classification for Online Shopping

Liu, Yunan 01 June 2016 (has links)
Online shopping is becoming a popular option for consumers. Currently, the most common product searching method that online shopping websites provide is keyword search. Most shoppers have to carefully select relevant keywords to search for their favorite products. Finding desired products using a query image for online shopping is currently not available. Image has been used for searching similar images in the database but they are usually not well annotated. Research effort has been devoted to developing reliable image-based retrieval systems for applications such as medical image retrieval and trademark search. None of these developments focuses on improving online shopping experiences for consumers. This thesis reports the development of an image retrieval system to provide better online shopping experience for consumers. The system searches products with similar appearance such as shape and textures to the query images the user provides. Turn angle is a contour based shape descriptor. It has many unique properties that make it a perfect shape matching method for image retrieval. The best matching image has the shortest shape distance to the query shape. Turn angle, however, could fail with slightly stretched shapes. Dynamic programming is used to help turn angle match slightly deformed shapes. Another technique called centroid distance is also included as a restriction for shape matching in order to avoid retrieving irrelevant or disparate shapes. With a well-built database, the enhanced turn angle descriptor that includes dynamic programming and centroid distance is able to reach a high accuracy rate.Shape matching alone is usually not sufficient for a powerful retrieval system. Products with similar shape but very different textures will not be distinguished based solely on shape matching. Edge histogram is a robust shape descriptor for texture matching. It can be implemented to construct either global or local histogram for this purpose. Global edge histogram uses only 5 bins, which is simple but ignores detail texture information. Local and semi-global edge histograms are more complex but retains detail texture information. A hierarchical matching system is built to combine the shape and texture descriptors for better retrieval accuracy.Easy access to the shopping system is desired. An Android Application is developed to provide consumers a convenient and friendly tool to use the system. Grab cut is applied to the captured image to segment the object from the background. The segmentation provides the retrieval system the required contour information for shape matching. The Android Application submits the captured image along with the segmented contour to the server. After the retrieval process is completed, the server sends retrieved images of similar products back to the Android App for the user to consider. Using the retrieval system via a handheld device provides a user-friendly online shopping experience.

Literarische Räume in Herta Müllers Der Mensch ist eingroßer Fasan auf der Welt : Literary Spaces in Herta Müller’s Der Mensch ist ein großer Fasan aufder Welt

Larsson, Sofia January 2022 (has links)
This essay discusses Herta Müller’s 2009 novella Der Mensch ist einGroßer Fasan auf der Welt from a spatial perspective. Drawing from ideas from theSpatial Turn in the 1980s, the main characters of the novella are analysed and it isfound that while the women of the story are able to adapt to the changing of space, the male protagonist is struggling being stuck in what can be seen as a state ofconstant crisis, which renders him practically useless in the society he lives in.Three main theories are used for the analysis; Michel Foucault’s concept ofheterotopias, Henri Lefebvre’s definitions of societal space and Edward Soja’sideas of Thirdspace. Further, Müller’s own ideas of Utopia are brought in forreflection.

Vocalisation and turn-taking in interspecies communication between dogs and humans

Nilsson, Erika January 2020 (has links)
Dogs and humans have through domestication and co-evolution established a close relationship and can communicate and understand each other. The objective of the present study was to deepen the understanding of the communication between dogs and humans, with focus on the vocalized communication. The study was based on video and audio recordings of dog-human communications from a total of 36 dogs in their home environment. The mean gap size in the communication ranged from 0.651.16 seconds and the overlap in communication had a percentage range of 14-50 %. These results are within the frame of other species communication with turn-taking. With these considerations, it clearly indicates that turn-taking occurs in interspecies communication between dogs and humans. The present study suggests that dogs intentionally communicate through vocalisation with their owners to gain the attention of the owner. In addition, age and sex of the dog influence their communication with their owners.
