Orientador: Fabrício Gallo / Banca: Adriana Maria Bernardes da Silva / Banca: Fabio Tozi / Resumo: Essa pesquisa objetiva discutir o grafite na cidade de São Paulo (SP), como uma manifestação territorial - criadora de materialidades que se relacionam de formas distintas nos lugares -, proporcionando, assim, diferentes usos do território. Estas manifestações, mesmo tendo natureza efêmera, congregam uma memória visual aos ambientes aos quais estão inseridos e, por se tratar de expressões genuínas do indivíduo que as produzem, em consonâncias com suas experiências cotidianas, a dialética socioespacial contida em si as tornam importantes instrumentos de representação da cidade. A partir da distinção de circuitos de grafite na cidade - circuitos de "grafite para a metrópole", de valor artístico/mercadológico, e circuitos de "grafite da metrópole", de valor artístico/cultural -, propôs-se discutir o grafite por dois vieses distintos. O primeiro, ligado aos circuitos de "grafite para a metrópole" buscou compreender como o capital hegemônico pode atuar a partir dessas manifestações, cooptando o discurso do grafite para se promover e se reproduzir no espaço. O segundo, ligado aos circuitos de "grafite da metrópole", abordou o grafite pautado em solidariedades criadas pela força do lugar cotidiano, guiado pela racionalidade dos de baixo, atuando como elo entre as pessoas e o lugar na produção de cidadanias insurgentes. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: This research aims to discuss graffiti in the city of São Paulo (SP), as a territorial manifestation - creating materialities that are related in different ways in places -, thus providing different uses of territory. These manifestations, although ephemeral in nature, congregate a visual memory to the environments to which they are inserted and, because they are genuine expressions of the individual who produces them, in consonance with their everyday experiences, the socio-spatial dialectics contained in them make them important instruments of representation of the city. From the distinction of graffiti circuits in the city - circuits of "graffiti for the metropolis", of artistic / marketing value, and circuits of "graffiti of the metropolis", of artistic / cultural value -, it was proposed to discuss graffiti for two different biases. The first, linked to the circuits of "graffiti for the metropolis" sought to understand how hegemonic capital can act from these manifestations, coopting the discourse of graffiti to promote and reproduce itself in space. The second, linked to the circuits of "graffiti of the metropolis", approached graffiti based on solidarity created by the strength of the daily place, guided by the rationality of the lower, acting as a link between people and place in the production of insurgent citizenships. O estudo experimental, de escopo qualitativo, esteve balizado pela corrente interacionista e diversos instrumentos práticos (representativos e orais). Estabeleceu-se um recorte espacial incluindo as principais espacialidades do triângulo histórico do centro de São Paulo e algumas áreas adjacentes, onde moram os cinco integrantes da amostra. Acredita-se que a disposição excessiva e proposital de feições tipológicas heterogêneas, advindas da globalização, deturpa a apreensão dos conjuntos existentes. Destarte, a paisagem urbana explicita quadros perceptivos complexos, fragmentados e desarticulados que repercutem na legibilidade lábil. Não obstante, os entrevistados admitam frequentar esta espacialidade resulta enigmático evidenciar como a recopilação das informações visuais está atravancada por alguma instância (objetos e/ou circunstâncias). Grosso modo esboçou-se uma vertente explicativa associada ao poder da pregnância visual de alguns elementos arquitetônicos, isto é, os marcos visuais de Lynch, cujo liame mais forte converge com vários dos conjuntos edilícios ancestrais do centro. Entretanto, comprovou-se também a imperiosa tendência dos respondentes das escolhas pragmático-funcionais dos algarismos numéricos para sua sobrevivência. O cenário salientado corrobora o papel indispensável das articulações contextuais advindas das dimensões socioculturais que possibilitam o declínio ou dissipação de alguns entraves específicos. Esta circunstância revela a existência de padrões intrínsecos de operância e decodificação da paisagem urbana, considerados ímpares, mas possuidores de valia análoga à dominada pelos sujeitos circunscritos à égide grafocêntrica. The experimental study, scope qualitative was determine by interactional approach and some practical tools (representative and oral). Established a spatial area including the main spatiality of the historic triangle of the São Paulo's center and some adjacent areas inhabited by the five members of the sample. It is believed that the excessive disposition and purposeful of heterogeneous typological features, resulting from globalization, misrepresents the apprehension of existing sets. Thus, the urban landscape explicit cadre perceptive complex fragmented and disjointed that impact on transitory legibility. Nevertheless, interviewee admit attend this spatiality, is enigmatic evidence how the compilation of visual information is block by some instance (objects and / or circumstances). Roughly sketched up an explicative approach associated to the power of visual pregnant of some architectural elements, this is, visual landmarks of Lynch, whose stronger bond converges with some ancestral idyllic sets of the center. However, it was also proved the imperious tendency of respondents choices of functional pragmatic of the numeric symbols for their survival. The outlined scenario corroborates the indispensable role of the contextual joints resulting from sociocultural dimensions that enable the decline or dissipation of some specific barriers. This fact reveals the existence of intrinsic patterns of functioning and decoding of the urban landscape, considered to be unique, but they have value analogous to dominate by subject circumscribed to egis literate.
