Vinculação de imagens para busca e visualização a partir de um sistema de informação em radiologia (RIS) / Bonding of images to search and visualization to inicial of radiology information system (RIS)

Edilson Carlos Caritá 12 March 2002 (has links)
As imagens utilizadas no trabalho estão nos padrões DICOM 3.0 (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) e JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group). / This work presents the study and implementation of a system aiming the indexing and visualization of the images of nuclear magnetic resonance and computerized tomography from a radiology information system (RIS), allowing the retrieval and availability of the exams (results and images), through an ethernet net for visualization beginning with an interface developed to a browser. The exams may be recovered either through their register number (RGHC) or the patient\'s name. The images employed in the work follow the DICOM 3.0 (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) and JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) patterns. For the indexing of the exams that present images in JPEG, an interface was developed to include the information required to guarantee the consistency of the process. For the exams presenting the DICOM 3.0 format, information was extracted automatically from the heading and filed in the database. The system has a friendly interface for the user, it may be rapidly incorporated to the project of an PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System). Betraktarens rum : En komparativ utställningsanalys av Hilma afKlints verk De tio största genom två olika rumsligheter / The spatiality of a viewer : A comparative exhibition analysis of Hilma af Klint's work The ten largest through two different spatialities

Wik, Linnea January 2020 (has links)
The spatiality of a viewer. A comparative exhibition analysis of Hilma af Klint's work The ten largestthrough two different spatialities.I have studied a viewer’s encounter with Hilma af Klint’s work The ten largest through two differentspatialities, the exhibition room at Moderna Museet Malmö and Moderna Museet Malmös Instagramaccount. With my research, I have wanted to get an insight into how a digital room such as an Instagramaccount can function as an exhibition room for art in a time when more and more is digitalized, whichescalated during the year when physical experiences were limited due to a global pandemic. Through acomparative exhibition analysis of the two different spaces and with the help of phenomenological theoryprimarily based on Maurice Merleau-Ponty further developed by Bia Mankell and phenomenologicaltheory in the digital based on Emmanuel Alloa, the Instagram account has been set in relation to theexhibition room at the museum. This comparative analysis showed that the two spatialities as exhibitionroom for the same work is both two separated exhibitions with characteristics influenced by space theyare shown through but also as two inevitably intertwined exhibitions and spaces influenced by each otherand each other's characteristics.

Multimedia Messaging Service Components for Web 2.0

Borgström, Kristofer January 2008 (has links)
The purpose of this master’s thesis is to simplify the exchange (in both directions) of multimedia content between mobile phones and network attached web servers. The solution proposed in this report specifically concerns displaying Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) messages via a web browser connected to a network-attached web server and graphically authoring MMS messages via a web interface. This thesis project is important because it brings multimedia content, in the form of MMS messages, from isolation in the telecommunication world closer to wide availability via the Internet. This transition is very important as the Internet is where media is shared with the world today. This approach brings added value to end users who want to share content generated using their phone on a web site. It also provides added value to operators who want to increase the amount of MMS traffic in their networks. The solution is non-trivial because there are a number of complexities at both ends. This is because the MMS messages that are authored at mobile phones differ between both handset models and manufacturers. Moreover, the format used for MMS (MMS SMIL) is not widely used on the Internet, thus a transformation to an Internet browser supported format must be performed. The thesis examines to what extent this transformation can be completely automatic and how MMS messages can be authored through a web interface. The results show that MMS messages can be successfully transformed to HTML and embedded directly in web pages, thus providing a seamless experience for viewing MMS messages. Depending on the content of the MMS message in question, the current browser and which media player plug-ins are available, the generated HTML will be displayed differently. The results also show that MMS messages can be composed in real time* through a web interface with good results.

Manipulering av bildhastighet och dess känslomässiga påverkan på tittarupplevelse vid olika format / Manipulation of frame rate and its emotional effect on viewer perception in different formats

O'Grady, William, Währme, Emil January 2023 (has links)
Frame rate is a fundamental element of creating the illusion of movement in video based media. For almost a century film has been produced in agreement with a standard frame rate of 24 frames per second, originally established due to technical limitations. This number lives on for films today, despite many technological innovations and other video based media formats straying from this standard. With contemporary video technology, content cannot only be recorded in higher frame rate; frames can also be artificially interpolated. So called Frame Interpolation technology now comes as a pre-installed feature on most televisions. As a consequence, this has formed a debate on how video based media should be presented, not least when it is artificially generated outside of the creators’ control. This study therefore aims to explore how manipulation of a video clip’s frame rate influences the viewer experience and thereby if the use of Frame Interpolation technology in televisions is justified. A study was conducted wherein participants were shown video clips in their original frame rate and compared them to artificially manipulated copies. The results showed that there is no definitive frame rate that is preferred by all participants and that some participants did not perceive any difference at all. It is also shown that the artificial manipulation of frame rate is generally not appreciated, and that criticisms against its use are misguided in terms of content shown. It is then discussed how television manufacturers should reconsider the use of Frame Interpolation technology. Lastly, we affirm how the results of this study are limited in accuracy by its scope. Further exploration of the subject is suggested to further consider these results found here and the results of earlier papers.

CHANGE DETECTION OF A SCENE FOLLOWING A VIEWPOINT CHANGE: MECHANISMS FOR THE REDUCED PERFORMANCE COST WHEN THE VIEWPOINT CHANGE IS CAUSED BY VIEWER LOCOMOTION

Comishen, Michael A. 10 1900 (has links)
<p>When an observer detects changes in a scene from a viewpoint that is different from the learned viewpoint, viewpoint change caused by observer’s locomotion would lead to better recognition performance compared to a situation where the viewpoint change is caused by equivalent movement of the scene. While such benefit of observer locomotion could be caused by spatial updating through body-based information (Simons and Wang 1998), or knowledge of change of reference direction gained through locomotion (Mou et al, 2009). The effect of such reference direction information have been demonstrated through the effect of a visual cue (e.g., a chopstick) presented during the testing phase indicating the original learning viewpoint (Mou et al, 2009).</p> <p>In the current study, we re-examined the mechanisms of such benefit of observer locomotion. Six experiments were performed using a similar change detection paradigm. Experiment 1 & 2 adopted the design as that in Mou et al. (2009). The results were inconsistent with the results from Mou et al (2009) in that even with the visual indicator, the performance (accuracy and response time) in the table rotation condition was still significantly worse than that in the observer locomotion condition. In Experiments 3-5, we compared performance in the normal walking condition with conditions where the body-based information may not be reliable (disorientation or walking over a long path). The results again showed a lack of benefit with the visual indicator. Experiment 6 introduced a more salient and intrinsic reference direction: coherent object orientations. Unlike the previous experiments, performance in the scene rotation condition was similar to that in the observer locomotion condition.</p> <p>Overall we showed that the body-based information in observer locomotion may be the most prominent information. The knowledge of the reference direction could be useful but might only be effective in limited scenarios such as a scene with a dominant orientation.</p> / Master of Science (MSc)

Sociologický výzkum televizního chování. Faktory ovlivňující dobu strávenou sledováním televize / Sociological research of TV audience behaviour. Factors determining the time spent watichng TV

Slavíčková, Veronika January 2011 (has links)
Sociological Research of TV Audience Behaviour Factors Determining The Time Spent Watching TV ABSTRACT The thesis deals with the phenomenon of TV viewing and with TV audience behaviour research. The theoretical part demarcates watching TV within leisure activities and deals with the question of motivation for watching TV as well. It also mentions the approach of people who intentionally try to exclude TV from their life. The text does not omit even the important contemporary determinants of watching TV - Internet and digitization of TV broadcasting. Subsequently, the main methods of TV audience behaviour research in the Czech Republic are introduced. In the empirical part, the main factors that most affect the time spent watching TV are being identified - first through separate elementary analyses and afterwards through searching for a regression model that would best predict the time spent watching TV for individuals and groups based on their socio-demographic and other characteristics. Keywords: television, time spent watching TV, watching TV, ATS, Peoplemeter, TVmeter, TV viewer, TV audience behaviour research
