Brauchtum, Feste und Lebensart in Bayern / Customs, festivities and way of living in Bavaria.

POSPÍŠILOVÁ, Lenka January 2007 (has links)
The dissertation concerning a given topic {\clqq}Customs, festivities and way of life in Bavaria`` focuses on one federal country in Germany and the process of its festivals and traditions. The work is divided into 3 parts, where there is gradually explained the wide range of traditions. In the introduction there are mentioned and described the particular terms used in the work. At the beginning the reader is informed about the typical local traditions in individual regions of Bavaria. The separation of this federal country gives the possibility to compare traditions and festivals. In the following parts there are chapters where the seasons of the year are defined. There are mentioned the festivals and traditions according to their occurrence in actual season of the year {--} the religion festivals, the agricultural traditions and other celebrations. In some examples there is briefly described the gastronomy of the festival. In the last part of the work there is compared some Bavor´s festivals to Czech ones. The choice is limited on the main religion festivals, which are held in both countries. There is mainly described the process and variety of Christmas and Easter celebrations. The all three parts of the work are completed with the enclosed maps and pictures. These enclosures can help the reader to make the complete conception of the mentioned traditions and festivals. The aim of this work is first of all the introduction of different celebrations in Bavaria and giving such kind of the formation that can push out the frontiers of culture knowledge.

Mobilités du quotidien, manières d'habiter et socialisation d'adolescents d'un village rural francilien / "Mobility, ways of living and socialization : An analysis from the case of teenagers living in a rural village in the Paris region"

Devaux, Julian 22 November 2013 (has links)
Our thesis intends to examine the existing dynamic links at the adolescence between daily mobility and socialization, trough the cases of adolescents living in rural areas in the Paris region. For this, we chose to develop a fine and extensive view of mobility, as a spatial and social interaction, and to conduct an ethnography localized in a rural village located in the southeast of Seine et Marne, for nearly two and a half years, combining different methods of data collection (ethnographic interviews, direct and participant observations…). On the one hand, the synchronic analysis of these links can highlight the differentiation between teenagers from differents central elements of their socialization, namely in their mobility, the spatial dimension of their social resources or in their way of living (their uses of different territories, reports to the public and domestics spaces…). In the second hand, the diachronic analysis of links between mobility and socialization can account for all the procedural dimension of differentiation that occurs between them with age, and the socializing effects of mobility, that is to say the ways in which practices transform the dispositions acquired during the primary socialization, in the mobility, their ways of being and acting, and generally how they participate to build their social and cultural identity

Exploring the significance of choral singing within the context of the South African Schools Choral Eisteddfod / Carin Henrize Louw

Louw, Carin Henrize January 2014 (has links)
The purpose of this collective case study was to explore the significance of choral singing for choristers and conductors participating in a national extra-curricular schools choral singing programme in South Africa. Understanding the experiences of choristers and conductors can contribute to principals, administrators of singing programmes, parents and conductors supporting choral singing activities. The method of inquiry was a qualitative collective case study with probing semi-structured open-ended questions to better understand the value and meaning of choral singing. Sampling comprised six purposefully chosen choirs, consisting of three primary and three secondary schools, portraying the unique socio-economic environment found in an agricultural rural town in central South Africa. Twenty-five participants were carefully selected, including 19 choristers and 6 conductors, 9 males and 16 females aged between 10 and 62 years. Eight themes emerged, namely choir singing as a way of living, music-related experiences, learning, growth, bridging, bonding and belonging, wellbeing, the latter including resilience, self-worth, positive affect, and singers’ spiritual experiences. Suggestions for further research include relationships of choral singing with full personhood and spiritual experiences. Certain physical aspects related to rehearsals, specifically regarding fatigue and back pain after standing through long rehearsals, could be investigated further. / MA (Musicology), North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2015

In the fight for survival, they keep on constituting fellowship and cooperation network between the neighbours, relatives, for the catching, collecting and commercialization of the caught - shellfish filet collected at the mangroves and rivers of Ilheus. Gradually, they keep on conquering space in the fights for their rights, as the special retirement for handcraft fishermen, the defeso insurance and others. The handcraft fishermen, particularly the shellfishermen, know the importance of the biodiversity preservation for the fishing maintenance. This defense of fishing arts in the handcraft modes is practiced by the using of equipments made by the shellfishermen themselves , with the material and fishing bait found at he mangroves, rivers and forest environment itself nearby the fishing places. The handcraft fishing is being pressured by the environmental degradation, by the overfishing done by the barcos de arrasto (boats with nets) and by the increase of unemployed workers quantity that are also starting the fishing for shellfish as a way of survival. To face these pressions, the shellfishermen in Ilheus created two associations: The São Miguel Fishermen and Shellfishermen Association- ASPEMAR and The Alto do Mambape Shellfishermen Association-AMMA. Created betweem of 2004 and 2008, they represent the strength and fight of these women in defense of their handcraft ways of working / Esta pesquisa trata das lutas por tradições, memórias de trabalho e vivências de marisqueiras em Ilhéus, Bahia, no período de 1960 a 2008.

Les modes d’habiter périurbains et l’idéologie de la « société des loisirs » : une analyse France-Québec / Periurban ways of living and the ideology of “leisure society” : a France-Quebec analysis

Dusserre-Bresson, Quentin 26 January 2018 (has links)
This thesis analyzes peri-urban living patterns through real estate developer projects from the 1960-1970s in Quebec and France. In fact, developers of Bromont and Estérel in Quebec and Cottages-de-Cernay and Port-Sud in France seize on the ideology of the leisure society to design peri-urban residential complexes. The historical retreat on this urbanistic conception of a periurban inhabitant offers the possibility of a synchronic and diachronic comparison of the appropriation of these residential complexes over the period 1960-2010. The analysis of appropriation is inspired by the conceptual framework and the progressive regressive method of Henri Lefebvre (1974). According to this theoretical framework, the appropriation is defined as a conflictual process between the ideology of the space conceived by the developers and the representations of the inhabitants but also as conflicting relations between the different ways of living these spaces by the inhabitants. This research is based on three types of sources: interviews, newspaper articles and archives. This thesis shows that developers have failed to design a specific way of living that adequately represented their urban project. The research details the complex game of social and political alliances and oppositions in favor of commitment, rejection and / or diversion by the inhabitants in relation to the conception of peri-urban forms of the years 1960-1970. As a result, this thesis provides an innovative view of the different trajectories of peri-urban areas observed since 2010 in France and Quebec.

Zdravotně sociální dopady u pacientů po akutním infarktu myokardu. / Health and social strokes by pacients after acute myocardial infartion.

HAVLÍČEK, Robert January 2007 (has links)
The clinical hallmark of acute myocardial infarction is chest pain, typically located in the substernal region or sometimes in the epigastrium which frequently radiates to the neck, left arm and left shoulder. Anginal equivalents such as dyspnoea and epigastric discomfort may also occur. The physical findings can include diaphoresis, pale cool skin, sinus tachycardia and sometimes hypotension. The objective of my thesis is to describe the health-social overall impact. I have been interested in acute myocardial infarction problems since my first education as a rescuer. I used the method of classificatory frequency analysis of documents, comparing and analogy results each other. The main task was to show how the people live after acute myocardial infarction, if they are able to work or not. Graphical analysis shows patient{\crq}s social anamnesis, productivity, gender ratio and etc. Sample for analysis forms 109 patients, from that 16 forms employment history results, which are made separate.

Deux études de cas dans l'agglomération bordelaise : le projet HNord (Bordeaux) et La Ruche (Bègles) / Revival of participative housing in france : towards new negotiated forms of urban production. Two case studies in the Bordeaux area : HNord (Bordeaux) and La Ruche (Begles)

Darroman, Mélanie 11 December 2014 (has links)
This PhD thesis questions the combined effects of the challenges of sustainable urban development and a growing priority for inhabitants – users – citizens, to participate in contemporary metropolitan production. Since the early 2000s, there is in France an emergence of alternative housing experiences as a result of social demands. The generic term of « participative housing », recently defined by the bill for access to housing and urban renovation (ALUR), published in the Official Journal on March 26, 2014, gathers with one voice, the variety of these initiatives at work, contributing to ensure the dynamic structuring and dissemination of the participative housing movement. Referring to the civil protests of 1970-1980, criticizing modern urban planning and public policy, the current projects tackle once again of how to combine the inhabitants expertise with professional expertise in the production of housing, and more broadly in the decision-making processes of regional planning. Producing innovative participatory practices, the resurgence of participative housing reveals different logics of social commitments on the part of citizens, activists and professionals, and negotiated forms of housing production. As a consequence, the « bottom-up » dynamic, based on the demands and initiatives of the inhabitants, opposes the « top-down » dynamic, based on the initiative of politico-institutional bodies in full renewal of their modes of action and know-how. Supported by a multi-dimensional framework of negotiations, the thesis analyzes the interactions and forms of hybridization of this ongoing collective production through a three dimensional approach : the value related dimension, to set the base of social transactions ; the organizational and relational dimension to observe the micro-political groups-projects ; the procedural dimension to grasp the temporality of the project and the key moments of negotiation of the whole process. For this, we build on two case studies in the Bordeaux area, being subject to processes of metropolization : the case of the residents cooperative HNord in the Dupaty housing block in Bordeaux ; and the multi-partnered participative housing project, La Ruche, in the town of Bègles within the framework of the « Operation of National Interest » (OIN) Bordeaux-Euratlantique. Governed by a CIFRE program with the « Local Planning and Development authority » (EPA) Bordeaux-Euratlantique, the research is based on an ethnographic approach : participant observation, interviews with target stakeholders and a literature review. The investigations conducted at different scales offer a macro, meso and micro-social understanding of the process of participative housing production and dissemination. The results of the thesis highlight the partnership conditions between different groups of stakeholders – inhabitants, institutions and expertsn – in the production of participative housing leading to a societal and professional paradigm shift through a renewal of ways of living, knowledge and expertise. Thus, we propose a reflection on ways and possibilities how to integrate this collective and civic dynamics in the decision-making processes of urban planning for metropolitan production and to see how this participatory and collaborative phenomenon can serve as an innovative tool in territorial management for our future cities.
