The purpose of this study was to describe senior nurses’ expectations concerning how a digital information and communication technology systems (ICT) can contribute to the improvement of care leadership and how it can strengthen ties between the school's theoretical world and the practical clinical work-based training (WP) in nursing. The study has a descriptive design with a qualitative approach. The study involved seven leading care nurses. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews. Subject matter was analyzed based on qualitative content analysis.  The analysis yielded in a first category practical examples of how using ICT as a tool could strengthen the ties between theory and practice in order to understand the usefulness of theory in practice.  The informants also gave specific examples of ICT content that could be given to students and also to supervisors both in terms of information and education. The second category described the supervisors’ views on receiving students in clinical placements. The senior care nurses felt that at present the reception of students was unsatisfactory due to a muddled organization. It was often unclear what responsibilities they had as mentors and what the responsibility of the student was for his or her practice placement. Conclusions of the study are that the supervisors could see ICT as a tool to clarify these ambiguities. In the future it is necessary to respond to the needs of supervisors with respect to their views on what an ICT system should provide them with in order to improve their care supervision. By providing an ICT learning tool the two worlds could meet and the ties between theory and practice in the nursing program could be strengthened.

Continuous change and competition in the working environment necessitate increased efficiency and productivity which require different and enhanced skills and abilities. It is therefore important that the right people with the right skills are selected and employees are developed to enable them to meet the organisational and national demands of the future. This dissertation investigates the relationship between learning potential, English language proficiency and work-related training test results to establish why some production employees perform better on work-related training test results than others. The results indicate that there is no significant relationship between the work-related training test results and either learning potential or English language proficiency. There is, however, a significant correlation between learning potential and English language proficiency. Ce mémoire s’inscrit dans le cadre d’une recherche de développement pédagogique d’objet, destinée à des enseignants du secondaire. L’objectif porte sur la conception, et la validation auprès d’un groupe d’experts, d’une grille visant l’analyse de la qualité de situations d’apprentissage et d’évaluation en lecture (GASAEL) conçues pour des élèves de niveau secondaire en difficulté d’apprentissage, notamment ceux du parcours de formation axée sur l’emploi (PFAE). La problématique expose la nécessité chez les enseignants de trouver des réponses ajustées aux besoins d’apprentissage des élèves ciblés, dans un contexte de programmes élaborés par compétences. La situation d’apprentissage et d’évaluation (SAE) est une instrumentation pertinente, mais demeure sous-utilisée. Le cadre conceptuel, guidé par le modèle de la situation pédagogique de Legendre (2005), assure l’analyse du contexte de la SAE et permet d’identifier ses caractéristiques. Ce cadre est suivi par la méthodologie de l’Analyse de la valeur pédagogique de Roque, Langevin et Riopel (1998) exposant la procédure d’analyse des fonctions du produit, au regard des besoins des utilisateurs. L’innovation de ce produit pédagogique tient en son caractère pragmatique; il propose à la fois l’analyse de la qualité des SAE, et une référence rapide à propos des concepts porteurs d’une SAE, fournis par des exemples ou des explications. / This research project involved the development of an assessment tool for secondary teachers. The objective of the project was to design and validate, with a group of experts, a rubric for analyzing the quality of Learning and Evaluation Situations (LESs) for students with learning difficulties—notably, those in the Work Oriented Training Path (WOTP). This research was designed to support WOTP teachers’ efforts to develop competency-based instruction. The LES is a powerful context for teaching and learning, but remains underutilized. The rubric’s conceptual framework, based on Legendre’s (2005) model of situated learning, facilitates (a) identification of the key features of LESs, and (b) analysis of their quality. Roque, Langevin and Riopel’s 1998 methodology—‘l’Analyse de la valeur pédagigique’ (AVP)—was used to analyze the effectiveness of the rubric for its intended users (i.e., WOTP teachers). This research project’s contribution to the field of education lies in its practicality. The rubric provides teachers with ready access to a reference bank of explanations/examples of key LES features, encouraging reflection regarding the quality of LESs they design.

A educação para o trabalho é considerada uma estratégia para a transformação social, implicando em reformulação de estratégias para tornar os trabalhadores profissionais comprometidos, formando-os em processos educativos direcionados para competências, sob os princípios da humanização e foco no trabalho, lócus em que se evidencia e se desenvolvem as necessidades de reorientação do desempenho do trabalhador de saúde. Para isso buscou-se conhecer as percepções dos ACS, egressos do módulo I, formação inicial do curso técnico de agente comunitário de saúde, em relação aos conceitos de saúde e promoção da saúde, processo de trabalho e competência profissional e formação dos agentes comunitários de saúde. Partiu-se da premissa de que os processos de formação dos Agentes Comunitário de Saúde, não atende às necessidades da comunidade e da estratégia saúde da família, uma vez que em sua maioria ocorrem de forma desarticulada do contexto das práticas. Os sujeitos da pesquisa foram agentes comunitários de saúde egressos do curso de formação inicial em agente comunitário de saúde, integrantes de equipe saúde da família. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa que teve como instrumento central de coleta de dados o grupo focal e técnicas complementares a observação participante e a análise documental. Os dados obtidos foram analisados de acordo com a técnica de análise de conteúdo proposta por Bardin. Evidencia-se que o conceito de saúde na percepção do ACS, não esta presente a abordagem biomédica, curativa, como ausência de doença, mas há uma ampliação para além ao entender a saúde como um direito fundamental para as condições de saúde e qualidade de vida. Consideraram os determinantes sociais da saúde (DSS) como fatores primordiais que intervêm sobre o campo da saúde e também a necessidade de políticas públicas intersetoriais como fator estruturante para uma boa qualidade de vida. Quanto à promoção da saúde evidenciou-se as fragilidades na sua aplicação no processo de trabalho. Os trabalhos educativos são fatores de transformação dos comportamentos dos indivíduos. Foram ressaltadas as questões intersubjetivas no trabalho com dados prescritos e real, cujos enfrentamentos no processo educativo são poucos aproveitados. E desenvolver ações participativas. Quanto ao processo de trabalho evidenciou-se distanciamento entre sua atuação e as barreiras organizacionais, havendo necessidade de uma maior articulação entre ACS e equipe do serviço para que se efetive um trabalho em equipe com planejamento das ações. Como eixo central do trabalho está o acolhimento, acessibilidade e trabalho em equipe. Em relação à competência existe uma dificuldade no seu entendimento, embora o curso conseguisse trabalhar os conhecimentos necessários para a prática da profissão. / This study aimed at analyzing the health community agent`s perception about the training received and the possibility of application/mobilization of the competences required for changes in the work process. Education for work is considered a strategy for social changes, implying in reformulation of strategies to make the Professional workers become committed, training them in educative processes directed towards competence, under the humanization principle and focused on work, locus where it appears and where the needs are developed for reorientation of the health worker`s performance. For this purpose, we sought to learn the ACS perceptions, module I graduates, initial training of the technical course of community health agent, in relation to health concepts and health promotion, work process, professional competence and training of the community health agents. It started from the premise that the training processes of the Community Health Agents, does not meet the needs of the community and the strategy family health, since most of them occur in a way disconnected from the context of the practices. The subjects of the research were health community agents, students that had finished the beginner`s training course in health community agents, belonging to the health family team. It is a qualitative research that had as central tool of data collection the focal group and complementary techniques of participant observation and the documental analysis. The data obtained were analyzed according to the technique of content analysis proposed by Bardin. The concept of health in the ACS perception, does not present the curative, biomedical approach as absence of the disease, but it goes further when understanding health as a fundamental right for health conditions and quality of life. The social determinants of health (DSS) were considered as the main factors that interfere in the health field and also the need for intersectorial public policies as a structuring factor for a good quality of life. Regarding health promotion the frailties in its application in the work process became evident. The educational works are transformation factors of the individuals’ behavior. The intersubjective issues in the work with real and prescribed data, whose discussions in the educative process are not very well used were highlighted. And develop participative action. The work process revealed a gap between its performance and the organizational barriers, with the need of a greater articulation between ACS and the service team so that a team work with planning of the actions becomes effective. As the central axis of the work are receptiveness, acessibility and team work. In relation to competence there is difficulty in its understanding, although the course could work the necessary knowledge to practice the profession.

La finalité de ce travail exploratoire, inscrit dans le cadre d’une didactique professionnelle du design naissante, est de comprendre l’incidence de l’alternance sur les apprentissages d’étudiants en design. Dans ce but, les connaissances ou savoirs impliqués et les représentations que les prescriptions proposent sont extraits puis mis en regard des représentations que les étudiants construisent de l’activité de conception en tant qu’objet social ou en jeu dans les activités d’apprentissage. Pour aborder ces représentations décrites ou construites, puis leur incidence sur l’activité de conception et sur les apprentissages, il est fait appel à un champ théorique multidisciplinaire et à un cadre méthodologique dialectique s’appuyant sur une analyse curriculaire et sur une analyse de l’activité des étudiants-apprentis. Les résultats mettent en lumière des représentations, parfois antagonistes, de l’activité de conception et de la profession de designer. Ils montrent que l’alternance des temps et des lieux d’apprentissage est un révélateur, pour les étudiants, des spécificités de l’activité de conception au sein de chacun des environnements. Ainsi, les environnements « organisants » et « capacitants » du curriculum réel, impensés dans le prescrit, modifient et régulent l’activité et le développement des compétences. Enfin, la production de connaissances, prescrite par le curriculum dans la cadre d’un « mémoire de recherche », permet aux apprentis-designers-chercheurs de développer des formes d’expertises qui interrogent sur les interactions entre savoirs pour agir et métaconnaissances pour concevoir et semblent redéfinir la représentation de la compétence de conception. / The purpose of this exploratory work, grounded on an emerging professional pedagogy of design, is to understand the impact of work-linked training in design on the learning of the design activity by students. To that end, the knowledge involved is extracted, juxtaposed with the representations that the requirement offers, and then set against the representations that students build of design activity as a social object as well as those involved in learning activities. Therefore, the theoretical field which is used is multidisciplinary. It induces a dialectical methodologic framework based both on a curricular analysis, necessary to understand the observed teaching situations, and on an analysis of the students’ activities. The outcomes shed light on these (sometimes conflicting) representations of creative design activity and of the designer’s profession. Outcomes also show the alternating times and places of learning situations reveal to the students the specificity of both designing situation. Thus, the “organizing environments” of the real curriculum and untaught within the required one, modify and regulate the system of interactions and the development of the students’ design skills. Moreover, the exchange device induces a timeline and “enabling” working and learning environments. Finally, the production of knowledge, required by the curriculum through the “research thesis”, allows the “apprentices-designers-researchers” to develop forms of expertise that question the interactions between knowledge to act and meta-knowledge to design and seems to redefine the representation of the design skill.
