A pesquisa foi realizada entre os jovens estudantes de ensino médio de Realeza/PR. O objetivo é identificar diferenças nas formas de fruição cultural, propiciadas por aquelas tecnologias, entre jovens de condições socioeconômicas e culturais distintas. In this way, it is important ascertain the future this activity, that theoretically, depend of young people that are children of these families farm. The objective this essay was to verify which the factors that influence the permanence or the output of the young person in the rural area. To attend the objective propose was realized an interview with students of 3rd year of technical course in farming of State Center for Professional Education in the Southwest of Paraná, localized at Francisco Beltrão/PR. The sample, composite by 52 young people, was taken not random order, of now that had to attend necessary requirements, as be child of family farm and reside in rural area. The application form, only tool of data collection, was submitted the validation and count on the contribution of eight professionals that work with the theme. The results show that the main factors that influence of young person to permanence or output in the rural area are the farm size, mechanization of properties, conversation with parents and the participation in decision-making in the property, and the options of leisure in the rural area. / A agricultura familiar, caracterizada principalmente pelo uso da mão de obra e o gerenciamento da propriedade pelos mesmos, apresenta uma importante atividade econômica na mesorregião sudoeste do Paraná. Deste modo, é importante averiguar o futuro dessa atividade, que teoricamente, depende dos jovens que são filhos desses agricultores familiares. O objetivo dessa pesquisa foi verificar quais são os fatores que influenciam na permanência e na saída do jovem do campo. Para atender o objetivo proposto, foi realizada uma entrevista com alunos do terceiro ano do curso técnico em agropecuária do Centro Estadual de Educação Profissional do Sudoeste do Paraná, localizado em Francisco Beltrão/PR. A amostra, composta por 52 jovens, foi obtida de forma não aleatória, já que esses tinham que atender requisitos necessários, como: serem filhos de agricultor familiar e residirem na zona rural. O formulário aplicado, única ferramenta de coleta de dados, foi submetido a validação e contou com a contribuição de oito profissionais que trabalham com o tema. Os resultados demonstram que os principais fatores que influenciam o jovem a permanecer no campo e a sair dele, são o tamanho das propriedades rurais, a mecanização das propriedades, o diálogo com os pais e a participação na tomada de decisão na propriedade, e as opções de lazer na zona rural.

Emergence and future status of youth work : perspectives of social service professionals in South Africa

With Youth work being one of the key interventions used to advance the development of young people, through this study, the researcher takes a closer look at how Youth work can be enhanced to ensure its maximised contribution to empowerment and development of young people. On that basis, the researcher investigates the perceptions, attitudes, and opinions of social service professionals towards emergence and future status of Youth work practice in South Africa. This is essential, given that policy directions ought to be guided by rational, fact-based information. The researcher used two-phased sequential mixed methods research approach, which combines qualitative and quantitative methods in sequence, to explore the research phenomenon. Qualitative data was gathered from four (4) focus groups, conducted in each of the selected South Africa’s provinces. Quantitative data was gathered from five hundred and ninety-three (593) respondents who completed a measuring instrument. Some of the key empirical findings suggested that the social development factors compared to human resources and diversion factors are key drivers behind emergence of Youth work. Therefore, there is a need to ensure that interventions primarily and consequently enhance the social functioning of young people. On the current status of Youth work, a significant majority of respondents indicated that Youth work is the responsibility of a multi-disciplinary team. The evidence also pointed to Youth workers being more skilled than Social workers and Child youth care workers in rendering services to the youth. Additionally, the findings showed that the involvement of social service professionals in Youth work was mainly in collaborating with other professionals when rendering Youth work services, and also in direct service delivery. Their involvement in policy development was to no extent. This was associated with a limited number of Youth workers in the public sector. The findings on perceptions of social service professionals regarding the future status of Youth work showed that 75% of the respondents believe that Youth work should become an area of specialisation for Social work and/or Child and youth care work; followed by 17% who are of the opinion that it should remain as an occupation; whilst only 8% said it should be an autonomous profession. Additionally, an overwhelming majority of the respondents agreed with all statements which were listed as advantages or benefits of having Youth work recognised as an area of specialisation or a profession. On the basis of these findings, the researcher recommended that young people’s problems and aspirations should be addressed within their social contexts; there is a need to ensure that interventions primarily enhance the social functioning of young people; there is a need to have Youth work as an area of specialisation for Social work and/or Child and youth care work; and there is a need to create additional capacity to provide services to the youth, especially in government as a policy making structure. It is essential to note that the support for specialisation supports South Africa’s approach to mainstreaming youth development across various sectors. In the Social Services Act in Sweden, it is stated that every child has the right to be given information and the opportunity to express its will and opinion. The child’s possibility to participate in the process of investigation should be considered with respect to the child´s age and maturity. By reasons of this we have chosen to examine how this is practiced in Swedish courts regarding eight cases where the out of home care of children according to 1 and 2 §§ in LVU is being judged. This has been done through a qualitative study with an attempt of using an argumentation analysis method. The main result of our study is that in the cases we studied the children had participated to a larger extent than described in previous research. Anyhow, when it comes to taking children’s, opinions in account, the cases we studied showed still great flaws and need of improvements. The conclusion of our study is that children's participation is a complex issue where more research is needed. Having this said, we believe that the subject of children’s participation must be more highlighted if a greater change is going to happen in the society. / I Socialtjänstlagen står det beskrivet att varje barn har rätt att bli tilldelad information och ges möjlighet att framföra sin talan. Barnets möjlighet att delta i utredningsprocessen bör övervägas utifrån barnets ålder och mognad. Med anledning av detta valde vi att granska hur denna lag följs i 1 och 2 §§ LVU genom att studera åtta beslutsunderlag med en kvalitativ argumentationsanalys. Huvudresultatet av vår studie visade på en hög delaktighet hos barnen i förhållande till det som framhållits i tidigare forskning, dock såg vi att beaktande av barnens vilja fortfarande var bristfällig. Den slutsats vi kom fram till i vår studie var att frågan om barns delaktighet inom Socialtjänsten framstår som ett komplext område innehållande stora brister i förhållande till hur lagen är formulerad. Med detta sagt ansåg vi att ämnet måste belysas mer i forskning för att en större förändring av barns delaktighet ska kunna utvecklas.

Die Arbeit analysiert den sozioökonomischen Wandel auf dem Lande in Ostdeutschland und seine Folgen für die Sozialisation und die Statuspassagen der Jugendlichen, besonders auf dem Hintergrund der sozialökonomischen Lage ihrer Familien. Gegenstand der Untersuchung ist der Übersetzungsprozess der grundlegenden Transformation der Arbeits- und Lebensverhältnisse auf dem Lande in die familialen und weiteren Sozialisationskontexte von Jugendlichen sowie dessen Niederschlag in ihren Handlungsmustern, Wertorientierungen, Lebensentwürfen und Statuspassagen. Untersucht wurden auf der Basis repräsentativer schriftlicher Befragungen sowie einer Auswahl mündlicher Interviews Jugendliche, die sich am Ende ihrer Normalschulzeit befinden, und deren Eltern. Ihren besonderen Reiz erfährt die Untersuchung durch einen Vergleich zu einer Untersuchung, die Ende der 70er Jahre zu Lebensbedingungen und zur Lebensweise von Schuljugendlichen auf dem Lande in der DDR durchgeführt wurde. / This habilitation is examined the radical socioeconomic change in agrarian districts of East Germany and the impact of this modernisation process on the working and living conditions of families, and especially the young people. The study scrutinises the status passage of the young generation (16 to 18 year old school leavers) on the backround of the socioeconomic situation of their families. It takes into account the familial and life world context of the socialisation process and looks at the status passage from school to work as a process of translating the changing social conditions into patterns of value orientation, life course planning, and biography construction. Representative questionings and interviews of the young people and their parents are the empirical basis for this study. The special charm of this research project is the historical comparison with studies on life conditions and ways of life of young people in the GDR during the 70s.

Lietuvoje, kaip ir kitose ES valstybėse, kiekvienam jaunuoliui, nepaisant jo negalios, turi būti garantuojama teisę į mokslą. Lietuvos Respublikos įstatymai deklaruoja proto negalios asmenų teisę į ugdymą, profesinį rengimą bei įdarbinimą, tačiau neįgalieji šių savo teisių pilnai realizuoti negali. Nežymiai sutrikusio intelekto jaunuoliai, baigę bendrojo lavinimo ar specialiąsias mokyklas, neįstengia konkuruoti su kitais moksleiviais, stodami į profesinio rengimo mokyklas, nes bendrojo lavinimo ar specialiosiose mokyklose mokosi pagal adaptuotas ir modifikuotas programas. Dar viena iškilusi problema tai įstatyminė bazė. Profesinio mokymo įstatymas bei jį lydintis teisės aktai jau nebeatitinka šiuolaikinio gyvenimo realijų. Šie dokumentai negarantuoja specialiųjų poreikių vaikams, ugdytiems adaptuojant bendro lavinimo mokyklos dalykų programas, teisės mokytis antroje profesinio mokymo programų pakopoje. Šiuo metu asmenų su negalia profesinis mokymas, permokymas ir perkvalifikavimas vykdomas per darbo rinkos mokymo tarnybas, specialius mokymo centrus, profesinio mokymo mokyklas ir yra prieinamas asmenims su nežymiai sutrikusio intelekto. Nepakankamas, sunkiai prieinamas, mažai pritaikytas ir su vietos darbo rinkos poreikiais nesusietas profesinis mokymas, perkvalifikavimas tampa viena iš asmenų su negalia nedarbo priežasčių. The laws of Lithuanian Republic declare the right to education for people with mental disabilities, as well as their vocational training and job placement; however, the disabled people cannot realize those rights in full. After finishing adapted and modified programs in secondary and special schools, young people with light mental disorder are not able to compete with the rest of students for the place in vocational training schools. Another issue that has been raised is the legal base. The law of vocational training and associated documents do not match the realities of contemporary life. Those documents do not guarantee the right to study at the second level vocational training schools to children who were educated according to adopted secondary school programs. Currently the vocational training, re-training and re-skilling for people with disabilities is being done through the employment agencies, special training centers, vocational schools and is available only for those with light mental disorders. Die litauischen Gesetze bestätigen den geistig behindrten Menschen, daß die eine Möglichkeit zum Lernen, Berufschulen zu absolvieren und in den Berufsmarkt zu integrieren haben, sondern die geistig Behinderte könen aus diesen Mögleichkeiten voll nicht benutzen. Die Berufsprogramme sind zu dem Arbeitsmarkt nicht angepasst. Berufsrehabilitationssystem ist sehr schwach entwickelt und das macht diese Situation noch schlechter.
