A Tridimensionalidade da superfície vestível e a impressão 3D : processos, estratégias e experimentações /

Silva, Dailene Nogueira da. January 2020 (has links)
(Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: Digital manufacturing has become a reality for production in various industry sectors in recent years. With its use developed and consolidated in some sectors such as medicine, architecture and robotics, it is still poorly explored in fashion presenting a great potential for construction of wearable surfaces. The use of digital fabrication implies the three-dimensional design of the wearable surface which brings to Fashion Design challenges to be overcome with regard to cost, the use of materials, the distribution of products and especially the forms of creation and construction. Thus, this research aims to investigate the development of three-dimensional surfaces through additive manufacturing processes from the perspective of Surface Design. The feasibility of using these methods for the construction of wearable surfaces is analyzed and strategies for their use are proposed, in order to contribute to the theoretical knowledge about surface design in terms of three-dimensionality and the use of digital manufacturing technologies. To this end, the work begins with a literature review on Surface Design, the manufacture of wearable surfaces throughout history and on digital fabrication, then starts with the analysis of designs carried out by designers involving surfaces. dimensions and digital fabrication, and then proceed with experimentation. Modular construction is proposed as the main strategy for the construction of wearable surfaces through additive manufacturing. / Doutor

The Family Check-Up in a Pediatric Clinic: An Integrated Care Delivery Model to Improve Behaviors in the Home Environment

Smith, S. Courtney, Schetzina, Karen E., Polaha, Jodi, Baker, Katie, Wood, David L. 01 October 2016 (has links)
This study examines the feasibility of adapting the Family Check Up (FCU), an evidence-based program to identify and manage behavioral concerns in children ages 4 and 5 years, within a pediatric primary care clinic with an integrated mental health professional. Methods: Caregivers attending their child’s 4 and 5 year-old well child visit were asked to complete a screening tool (Pediatric Symptom Checklist-17; PSC-17) measuring behavioral concerns as part of routine care. Families who screened positively, were referred to the FCU and asked to participate in a study evaluating the intervention. The FCU is a 2-session intervention during which information on home environment and parenting style was collected through tailored questionnaires, videotaped interactions, and a clinical interview. Feasibility was examined using portions of the Reach, Effectiveness, Adoption, Implementation, and Maintenance (REAIM) framework from the Dissemination and Implementation Science field. This study presents preliminary data on the domains of Reach and Adoption over the first 5 months of the FCU. Results: The number of families referred who attended at least one session (Reach) was 77.2%. Current data shows that use of the PSC-17 screening instrument (Adoption) is 91.4% for well child checks and 25% for acute visits. Adoption of those referred to the FCU is 84%, indicating most families screening positively for behavioral concerns were successfully referred to the FCU. Conclusion: Initial results suggest Reach and Adoption rates support the feasibility of adapting a behavioral intervention for delivery in the pediatric clinic. Notably, having an existing integrated care delivery model is a critical piece to this early success. Future directions will continue to explore feasibility of the remaining REAIM domains.

Pousková, Eliška January 2021 (has links)
Resources: The topic of this Master's thesis is oniomania, or in other words, pathologic shopping and how it is affected by an individual's materialistic value orientation. Pathologic shopping refers to an unmanageable urge to buy something, to order, to own a thing. For the needs of this thesis, materialism is understanded as the conviction that gaining material goods is the ultimate life goal, main index of success and key to happiness. Based on the research, materialism is considered to be a significant predictor of oniomania. Aims and methodology: The main aim of this thesis was to describe the relationship between pathologic shopping and materialism. Then prevalence of pathologic shopping was further detected in the focus group which consisted solely of non-medical health care staff as well as the prevalence of age and income. The research also focused on circumstances and consequences of pathological shopping. 853 respondents participated in this correlation research based on data gained from the survey. Main results: With use of correlation analysis it was found that rising rate of materialism leads to higher tendency to shopping compulsively. 55 impulsive shoppers were identified in the research sample which makes it 6,45 % of the total number of respondents. The results showed that neither...

You Can't Beat That Feeling

Silfversparre, Alexander January 2022 (has links)
My project aims to inform and enlighten people in our society about what Coca-Cola is doing wrong. Welive in a society that is fueled by consumerism which is not sustainable for us and our planet. If we keepup with today’s consumer pace, we will soon have nothing left. It is time that we as a society take chargeof what is right and wrong. We can’t let giant corporations do as they please anymore. It is not the peopleof the society's fault that we are buying Coca-Colas products, instead, we need to shift the responsibilityto the larger corporations in order for us to change our path. With my series of images, I hope to deliver amessage that will make the spectator realize how bad Coca-Cola is for us people and its consequences toour planet and our generations if we don't change now.
