The landscape of cancer care is evolving and as a result nursing care continues to develop and respond to the changing needs of oncology patients and their families. There is a paucity of qualitative research examining the experience of being an oncology nurse on an inpatient unit. Therefore, a qualitative study using an interpretive phenomenological approach has been undertaken to discover the lived experience of being an oncology nurse. In-depth tape recorded interviews has been conducted with six oncology nurses who worked on two adult inpatient oncology units. Van Manen’s (1990) interpretive phenomenological approach has been used to analyze the data by subjecting the transcripts to an analysis both line by line and as a whole. The overarching theme of the interviews is: Investing to Make a Difference. The themes that reflect this overarching theme are: Caring for the Whole Person, Being an Advocate, Walking a Fine Line, and Feeling Like You are Part of Something Good. Oncology nurses provide care for their patients through a holistic lens that further enhances how they come to know their patients. Over time, relationships with patients and families develop and these nurses share that balancing the emotional aspects of their work is key in being able to continue to invest in their work and in these relationships. Their investment is further evident as oncology nurses continuously update their knowledge, for example, of treatment regimes, medication protocols, and as they champion their patients wishes and needs. As nurses develop their own identities as oncology nurses, they in turn enhance the team with their emerging skill and knowledge. These research findings serve to acknowledge the meaning of oncology nurses’ work and inform the profession’s understanding of what it means to be an oncology nurse.

The controversy surrounding the period 1928-1930, the period of Li Li-san's leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, is the central topic of this paper. The controversy itself is over what role the Comintern played in the formation of what is commonly referred to as the "Li Li-san line." The conclusions drawn in this paper show that, though the Comintern did play a small part in the formation of Li's policy, that, nevertheless, his line was of his own making. The disastrous attempt at urban insurrection in 1930 was of Li's own doing: he had been receiving signals for some time that his policies were contradictory to those of the Comintern. In order to give the reader a sense of how this leadership controversy and the policy differences arose, there is also a presentation of some of the background information regarding the labor movement and the CCP's role in it, and Li Li-san himself -his part in the labor movement and his own personality. / Arts, Faculty of / Political Science, Department of / Graduate

The goal of this theisis is a strategic analysis firm Pension Ametyst, namely the analysis of external and competitive environment, finding a competitive position in the market analysis and customer expectations. The practical outcome of this thesis is to outline the future strategy of the company and operational measures to help achieve the proposed strategy and improve the overall situation of the firm.

The content of this diploma paper is a view of the process of risk management in an insurance company in relation to applying the new concept of Solvency II. This paper is divided into three main parts. The opening part focuses on a risk profile of an insurance company, giving an overview and clasification of risks threatening an insurance company. The aim of this paper is to focus on method of Solvency II and especially on the consequences for insurance companies applying this method, which is contained in the second part of this paper. This paper also provides a complex view on the risk management process in an insurance company, its distinguishing phases with emphasis on the area of measuring risks and calculation of capital requirements. The risk management process is contained in the last part of this paper.

The aim of theoretic part of the thesis is to define the term of a strategy, specify the way how to create the strategy, what approach, methods and instruments are used for the strategy determination. Part of the definicions and further focus will be the area of strategic analysis,competetive advantage and the Enterprise's resources. In the application part, the present strategy of Airport Prague company, that is the the international Prague Ruzyne airport operator, will be specified. On the basis of theoretically-methodological part of the thesis, the present strategy of Airport Prague company will be evaluated and possible recommendation for changes or modification that should strengthen prosperity of the company in medium and long term perspective will be stated.

The goal of this diploma thesis is the execution of strategic analysis of the company Plzeňský Prazdroj, a. s. based on external and internal analysis. Next step is the elaboration of strategy for future company development. The outcome of this thesis is a comprehensive view of the external and internal environment of Plzeňský Prazdroj providing good basis for strategic management. Author of this thesis recommends suitable strategies for the future business development based on these outputs which are corresponding to the strategic plan of company and deriving from the business environment.

The main goal of this thesis is to propose partial strategy of company named Centrum financni gramotnosti. The strategy must respect keeping or generating of competitive advantage. It is formed on basis of internal and external analysis. External analysis is divided into analysing environment and competition. PEST analysis and Porter's 5F analysis were used. Internal analysis covers the company's resources and products offered. For those, BCG analysis was performed. To decide which factors are critical, SWOT analysis is used. TOWS analysis helped to set the final strategy. All those methods were applied on real data. Outcome of the research is a proposal for new pricing strategy of the organisation.

<p style="text-align: justify;">Izrada osnovnih principa za rodno osetljiv pristup u enciklopedijskom tekstu važan je korak ka sveobuhvatnijoj slici na&scaron;e stvarnosti u procesima demokratizacije dru&scaron;tva danas.<br />Važno je i iz istorijske perspektive obratiti posebnu pažnju na sve one žene iz prethodnih vekova koje su značajne u različitim domenima na&scaron;e istorijske prakse, a nisu do sada o njima izno&scaron;eni valjani podaci (Tomin, 2011). Cilj istraživanja je provera postojanja implicitne diskriminacije prema ženama iz različitih grupa u postojećim enciklopedijskim projektima i predlog za prezentaciju žena u enciklopedijskom tekstu kojim se uvažavaju rodne i druge razlike i specifičnosti kako iz istorijske tako i iz savremene perspektive. Pretpostavka je da je u postojećim enciklopedijama nedovoljno odrednica o zaslužnim ženama, &scaron;to je rezultat implicitne rodne diskriminacije onih koji uređuju enciklopedijski tekst, ali i spor proces sazrevanja enciklopedijskog teksta kao posebnog žanra. Odabrana je teorija drugosti za osnovu analize enciklopedijskih odrednica o ličnostima; metod kritičke analize teksta za formiranje institucionalnog žanra.<br />Korpus čini ukupno 106 enciklopedijskih jedinica, sačinjen na osnovu literature dostupne u poslednjih petnaest godina, iz različitih disciplina, pre svega interdisciplinarnih i onih koje su nove, a karakteristične su za oblasti delovanja žena danas.<br />Korpus od 106 enciklopedijskih odrednica prati Uputstvo za pisanje enciklopedijske odrednice, spisak literature koji sadrži sve bibliografske jedinice koje su kori&scaron;ćene u formiranju korpusa i spisak skraćenica.<br />Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da je u postojećim enciklopedijama nedovoljan broj žena; u odrednicama odsustvuje rodno osetljiv pristup koji je (delimično) posledica uređivačke koncepcije. Osnovni rezultat je autorov predlog 106 enciklopedijskih odrednica o zaslužnim ženama iz svih oblasti života i rada (sa 95 fotografija), odabran u skladu sa uspostavljenim kriterijumima za izbor odrednica i napisane prema uputstvu za pisanje rodno osetljivim jezikom. U zaključku se konstatuje da je žanr enciklopedijskog teksta sazrevao u srpskom jeziku tokom gotovo jednog veka i da danas u njemu odsustvuje rodno osetljiva dimenzija. Zato rezultati u ovom radu mogu biti od koristi u neposrednom radu timova okupljenih oko enciklopedijskih i leksikonskih projekata u zemlji u daljem radu za pokolenja koja dolaze.</p>

Syftet med den här studien är attundersöka hur Anne with an E kan fungera som en kompletterande historieskrivning samt hurAnne på Grönkulla och Anne with an E både ihop och var för sig skulle kunna användas iundervisning i Svenska 1 på gymnasiet. Uppsatsen utgår från olika teoretiska ramverk inomområdena etnicitet, religion, genus och sexualitet. Analysen visar att Anne with an E kananvändas som en kompletterande historieskrivning då denna har lagt till ett flertal händelsersom inte förekommer i boken. Analysen visar också på sätt att arbeta med Anne på Grönkullaoch Anne with an E inom skolämnet svenska.
