A pesquisa realizada teve por objetivo a análise das ações desenvolvidas pelo Santuário Nacional de Nossa Senhora Aparecida, e suas contribuições para o aumento do fluxo de visitantes e o desenvolvimento do Turismo Religioso. Seu desenvolvimento foi viabilizado por pesquisas realizadas em fontes bibliográficas e eletrônicas dos temas vinculados ao objeto. Pesquisas as fontes primárias nos arquivos do Centro de Documentação e Memória do Santuário Nacional. Visitas técnicas ao atrativo para observação direta. Entrevistas com o Reitor, principal responsável, do Santuário e com os gestores das áreas de marketing e serviços. O resultado alcançado foi a composição de um amplo quadro das ações do Santuário Nacional. Constatou-se que tais ações contribuem para manutenção da atratividade, ampliam a estrutura de receptivo, promovem uma adequação do produto a demanda e conseqüentemente contribuem para o desenvolvimento do Turismo religioso. / This thesis had as an objective the analysis of activities and actions developed by National Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora Aparecida, and its contributions to the increase the flow of visitors and the Religious Tourism development. Its development was viable trough research conducted in bibliographical and electronic sources of the themes linked to the object. Researches to the primary sources in the archives of the Documentation and Memory Center of the National Sanctuary. Technical visits to the attraction for direct observation. Interviews with the Dean, main responsible, of the Sanctuary and with managers of the marketing and service departments. The achieved result was the composition of a wide action board of the National Sanctuary. A análise presente nesta pesquisa está dividida em duas etapas que se completam em seu fechamento: a primeira etapa - volta-se para o exercício de coleta e pesquisa de campo, o processo de catalogação, orientação e seleção temática a partir da persistência do tema como algo externo a rotina cotidiana, mas permanente no acervo como uma tradição religiosa destes núcleos familiais. A segunda etapa do estudo, estabelece a construção das relações produtoras do tema "Fotografias de Aparecida". Delimitada em um recorte histórico que objetiva examinar tanto as redes como os indivíduos responsáveis pela construção e manutenção do olhar fotográfico sobre os espaços de fé no Santuário de Aparecida (SP). A pesquisa é balizada em sua temporalidade a partir da concepção das fotografias enquanto uma mercadoria de lembrança ou ex-voto explorada economicamente pelos fotógrafos ambulantes nos marcos de concentração de romeiros, especificamente as poses produzidas na Praça Nossa Senhora Aparecida. Sendo assim, propomos um recorte temporal que abarque os períodos áureos desta prática entre as décadas de 1940 a 1980. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / This study aims to analyze a set of photographs collected from the collections of families who are residents in the northern region in the city of Londrina, in Paraná; which theme refers to poses depicted at the "Santuário Nacional de Aparecida" in the city of São Paulo (National Sanctuary of Aparecida) between the years of 1940 and 1980. The analysis presented in this research is divided into two stages that complete each other in their closure: in the first stage the research turns to the collection and field search, the cataloging process, orientation and thematic selection from the persistence of the theme as something outside the everyday routine, however, permanent to the collection as a religious tradition of these family groups. In the second stage of the research establishes the development of producing relationships in regards of "Fotografias de Aparecida" (Photografs from Aparecida). Bounded by a historical approach that aims to examine both the networks and the individuals responsible for the construction, and maintenance of the photographic look over the faith space at the Sanctuary of Aparecida in the city of São Paulo. The research is highlighted in its temporality from the concept of photographs as souvenir merchandise or votive economically exploited by itinerant photographers in devotees travelers landmark concentrations, specifically the poses produced at "Praça Nossa Senhora Aparecida" (Our Lady of Aparecida Square). A cidade de Aparecida-SP, local onde se encontra o maior Santuário dedicado a uma representação mariana do mundo, e que recebe mais de 11 milhões de visitantes ao ano, é o berço dessa devoção. Desde quando não existia a cidade de Aparecida, e a região fazia parte da então chamada “Vila de Guaratinguetá”, têm-se o início de uma crença na representação de uma divindade presente em uma imagem de santa, que foi encontrada nas águas do Rio Paraíba do Sul. Tal imagem tornou-se o símbolo de uma forte devoção popular, capaz de arrebanhar centenas – milhares – e milhões de peregrinos que chegam ao local para visitá-la, e realizar outras atividades que podem ser feitas na cidade que a abriga. O fruto deste estudo é uma etnografia das romarias que chegam a Aparecida, e dos romeiros que chegam à cidade com os mais distintos interesses: prática de devoção católica, compras no shopping popular da cidade, compras na “feirinha” de produtos com preços baixos. As pretensões dos visitantes, durante sua estada na cidade, são muitas, e serão analisadas, etnograficamente. Para tanto, o trabalho se iniciará a partir de uma análise histórica da devoção à santa “aparecida”, e a influência desta crença na sociedade da região e da comunidade católica nacional. Aparecida tornou-se uma das referências do catolicismo brasileiro e as peregrinações ao Santuário foram utilizadas enquanto instrumento para uma tentativa de (re) catequização dos fieis católicos brasileiros. Partindo desta análise, haverá a tentativa de elucidar a relevância de Aparecida para o catolicismo brasileiro atual, e também, global. / This study aims to present the importance of popular devotion to Our Lady Aparecida, as a symbol of Brazilian Catholicism. The city of Aparecida-SP, where is the biggest Marian Sanctuary dedicated to a representation of the world, and receives over 11 million visitors a year, is the birthplace of this devotion. Since when there was the city of Aparecida, and the region was part of the so-called "Guaratingueta village", the start-up have a belief in the representation of a deity present in a holy image, which was found in the waters of the River Paraíba do Sul This image became the symbol of a strong popular devotion, able to round up hundreds - thousands - and millions of pilgrims who come to the place where she is to visit her, and perform other activities that can be done in the city the houses. The result of this study is an ethnography of pilgrimages arriving at Aparecida and the pilgrims arriving in the city with the most different interests: the practice of Catholic devotion, the popular shopping mall in the city, shopping in "crafts fair" products with low prices. Finally, the claims of the visitors during their stay in the city, are many, and will be analyzed, ethnographic, during this work. To this end, work will start from a historical analysis of devotion to the saint "appeared" and the influence of this belief in society in the region, and later, the national Catholic community. Aparecida has become one of the references of Brazilian Catholicism, and pilgrimages to the Sanctuary became one of the keys to (re) catechizing of Brazilian Catholics faithful. This understanding helped on the impact of such feelings in urban life, within the framework of two interconnected cities spatially: Goiânia and Aparecida de Goiânia. The effort of this review fell on violence and its effects in the city, notably the fear and the feeling of insecurity present in Aparecida de Goiania which is, in this survey, the city seen in the metropolitan context. Its conurbation with the capital of Goiânia, city-centre of the metropolitan area, flared up a close relationship of dependency between both. Discussing these concepts historically and inserting them in the segregation and social vulnerabilities, we associated the feelings and the perspectives of local victimization to the perceptions of violence, fear and insecurity in cities like Aparecida de Goiânia. / Este trabalho pretende discutir como os diagnósticos dos determinantes do medo e da sensação de insegurança, assim como as conexões e implicações dos efeitos do fenômeno da violência, podem colaborar com as políticas de segurança pública. Esta compreensão auxiliou na repercussão desses sentimentos na vida urbana, no âmbito de duas cidades interligadas espacialmente: Goiânia e Aparecida de Goiânia. O esforço desta análise recaiu sobre a violência e os seus efeitos na cidade, notadamente o medo e o sentimento de insegurança presentes em Aparecida de Goiânia, que é, nesta pesquisa, a cidade analisada no contexto metropolitano. Sua conurbação com a capital de Goiânia, cidade-pólo da Região Metropolitana, deflagrou uma estreita relação de dependência entre ambas. Discutindo esses conceitos historicamente e inserindo-os na segregação e vulnerabilidades sociais, relacionaram-se os sentimentos e perspectivas de vitimização locais às percepções da violência, do medo e da insegurança em cidades como Aparecida de Goiânia.

Even though assistential activities are a governmental responsibility for all federal entities, they are also a state policy, since its presence in the Magna Carta. There are several existing welfare projects, however, at the federal level, it high lights the Organic Law of Social Assistance (LOAS), which created the Continuous Cash Benefit (BPC), and the Family Allowance Program (Bolsa Família). When implemented, these benefits bring opportunities to the beneficiaries to grow their expenditures in food, health, transportation, education, clothing and leisure. That, in turn, inject resources in commerce, industry and regional services. Thus, there is an improvement of the local economy because of this benefit. This research aims to study the development generated by this benefit at the city of Aparecida de Goiânia in the Goiás state, with a focus on the Madre Germana I housing complex. / Verifica-se uma importante expansão das atividades assistenciais no Brasil, decorrentes da Constituição Federal de 1988. Apesar de essas atividades assistenciais serem uma responsabilidade governamental para todos os entes da federação, elas também são uma política de Estado, visto sua presença na Carta Magna. São vários os projetos assistenciais existentes, porém, no âmbito federal se destacam a Lei Orgânica da Assistência Social (LOAS), que criou o Benefício de Prestação Continuada (BPC), e o Bolsa Família. Quando implantados, esses benefícios trazem oportunidades aos beneficiários de ampliarem seus gastos com alimentação, saúde, transporte, educação, vestuário e lazer. Que, por sua vez, injetam recursos no comércio, indústria e serviços regionais. Desta forma, existe uma melhora da economia local devido a este benefício. Esta pesquisa visa estudar o desenvolvimento gerado por este benefício à cidade de Aparecida de Goiânia, no Estado de Goiás, com o foco no Conjunto Habitacional Madre Germana I.

Em 1908 assiste-se à criação de cinco dioceses no estado de São Paulo, entre elas Taubaté. Em seu espaço territorial encontrava-se o Santuário de Nossa Senhora Aparecida, cuja administração coube, por decreto, à Arquidiocese de São Paulo. Iniciava-se uma disputa pela administração desse santuário entre o bispo de Taubaté e o arcebispo de São Paulo, cada qual visando defender seus interesses diocesanos. Além da atuação comum aos bispos da época, quais sejam, o controle sobre o clero, o enquadramento das irmandades leigas e a burocratização da diocese, a ação romanizadora de D. Epaminondas, como resposta ao confronto com D. Duarte, focou-se na devoção a Santa Teresinha, sendo construído em Taubaté o primeiro santuário do mundo em sua honra / The present thesis tries to shed some light on the government of the diocese of Taubaté by its first bishop, Dom Epaminondas Nunes de Ávila e Silva. A dissertação de mestrado a ser apresentada tem como foco a experiência da devoção a Nossa Senhora Aparecida. Desta maneira, desde 2010, faço trabalho de campo em Aparecida do Norte, cidade do interior de São Paulo, junto aos devotos de vários lugares do país, acompanhando a forma como se relacionam com a Santa Aparecida, fazendo promessas, romarias. Assim, dividi minha dissertação em duas partes, que são, porém, interligadas. Na primeira parte, faço uma etnografia de uma romaria à pé (100km) de São José dos Campos (SP) até Aparecida, à qual acompanhei. A segunda parte trata da circulação de objetos e palavras de devoção, estes que possuem agência e transformam mundos e curam pessoas. Em Ensaio sobre a promessa tenho como autores clássicos norteadores Walter Benjamin, Victor Turner, Marcel Mauss. Tento entender a promessa muito além de uma forma direta da fórmula: dar, receber e retribuir. Ou seja, faço reflexões que me fazem pensar que entre estes verbos e ações transformadores, existem piscadelas, detalhes, mosaicos e muitas quinquilharias e inúmeras miudezas de coisas, sendo assim, foi preciso atentar para as fendas, os interstícios, os pontos crepusculares. Portanto, volto o olhar para a promessa enquanto circulação, movimento, passagem e espera. A promessa ou a graça não constituem um fim em si, o que mais me absorveu em campo foram os redemoinhos, os caminhos e os movimentos e toda a circulação de devotos, objetos, sacrifícios e palavras de fé. A circulação é o próprio motor da promessa, esta que só se estabelece na medida em que existem relações de intimidade entre Nossa Senhora Aparecida e seus devotos. Dessa forma, minha dissertação trata da experiência da devoção, da experiência do sensível, contando com muitas fotografias, músicas, contadores de histórias, amigos e estrada, pois a passagem e a estrada é o percurso mais longo, porém, mais certeiro para os que caminham com fé. E foi na estrada que eu comecei a vislumbrar que terríveis bons-espíritos me protegem, que eu quase nada não sei. Mas desconfio de muita coisa. Mas que fique claro, esta é uma etnografia, e que eu creio e não creio. Tem coisa e cousa... (Citações de João Guimarães Rosa, Grande Sertão Veredas, Rio de Janeiro: Nova Fronteira, 2001). / The research to be presented focuses on the experience of devotion to Nossa Senhora Aparecida. Thus, since 2010, I do fieldwork in Aparecida do Norte, a city in São Paulo, with devotees from many places in the country, watching how they make relation with Santa Aparecida, making promises, pilgrimages. So, I divided my research into two parts, which are, however, interrelated. In the first part: an ethnography of a pilgrimage on foot (100km) from São José dos Campos until Aparecida which I followed. The second part deals with the movement of objects and words of devotion that have agency and transform worlds and heal people. In \"Essay on the promise\", I have Walter Benjamin, Victor Turner, Marcel Mauss like the guiding classical authors. I try to understand the promise far beyond a direct way of the formula: give, receive and give back.\" It means that I do reflections which make me think that between these transformers verbs and actions, there are winks, details, mosaics and many trinkets and numerous offal of things, so it was need to look for cracks, interstices, twilight points. So, I return my gaze to the promise while circulation, movement, passing and waiting. The promise or grace do not consist in an end in itself, what most absorbed me in the field were swirls, paths and movements and all circulations of devotees, objects, words of faith and sacrifice. The movement is the engine of promise, which only is established the extent that there are intimate relationships between Nossa Senhora Aparecida and his devotees. Thus, my work is about the experience of devotion, sensitive experience, with many photographs, music, storytellers, friends and the road, because the road crossing and the route is longer but more accurate for those who walk with faith. And it was on the road I started to envision what \"terrible good-spirits protect me\", \"I do not know almost nothing. But I suspect a lot\". Logo, a pesquisa se volta para compor através da análise das entrevistas com os fotógrafos da Praça, proprietários das imagens e as fotografias, uma rede produtora de uma memória sobre o espaço sagrado presente no imaginário religioso popular. / This study aims to analyze a set of photographs collected from the collections of families who are residents in the northern region in the city of Londrina, in Paraná; which theme refers to poses depicted at the “Santuário Nacional de Aparecida” in the city of São Paulo (National Sanctuary of Aparecida) between the years of 1940 and 1980. The analysis presented in this research is divided into two stages that complete each other in their closure: in the first stage the research turns to the collection and field search, the cataloging process, orientation and thematic selection from the persistence of the theme as something outside the everyday routine, however, permanent to the collection as a religious tradition of these family groups. In the second stage of the research establishes the development of producing relationships in regards of “Fotografias de Aparecida” (Photografs from Aparecida). Bounded by a historical approach that aims to examine both the networks and the individuals responsible for the construction, and maintenance of the photographic look over the faith space at the Sanctuary of Aparecida in the city of São Paulo. The research is highlighted in its temporality from the concept of photographs as souvenir merchandise or votive economically exploited by itinerant photographers in devotees travelers landmark concentrations, specifically the poses produced at “Praça Nossa Senhora Aparecida” (Our Lady of Aparecida Square). Therefore, we propose a time frame encompassing the golden periods from this practice between the 1940s and the 1980s. Thus, the search turns to compose through the analysis of interviews with Square photographers, owners of images and photographs, and a network which produces memory of the sacred space in this popular religious imagery.
