This diploma thesis deals with developing of software, which allows access and control of programmable controllers through web interface. Software uses client server model and for communication between client and server is used Windows Communication Foundation interface which is integrated in Microsoft .NET Framework from version 3.0. Applications were written in C# programming language using .NET Framework libraries. Data visualization in web application was created by Microsoft Silverlight.

The municipality of Nyköping has for a long period of time had complaints from its municipal residents considering the lack of information given about the municipalitys garbage collection. The municipality has not previously had data that has been able to respond to this, but now the municipality has compiled an Excel file with all current addresses considering the garbage collection. In order to be able to offer the information to the municipal residents, a search function was desired that could easily cater for this. The project was developed mainly in JavaScript and will be implemented in Episerver's environment that the municipality uses. The search function has been developed with an autocomplete function and takes into account all current garbage pickup intervals that the municipality has requested. / Nyköpings kommun har under en längre tid fått klagomål från sina kommuninvånare att det inte på ett enkelt vis går att tillhandahålla sig information kring när nästa sophämtning sker för deras adress. Kommunen har tidigare inte haft data som har kunnat svara på detta, men nu har kommunen sammanställt en Excel-fil med alla aktuella adresser och dess sophämtningar. För att kunna erbjuda informationen till kommuninvånarna önskades en sökfunktion som enkelt kunde presentera detta. Projektet utvecklades främst i JavaScript och ska implementeras i Episervers miljö som kommunen använder sig av. Sökfunktionen har utvecklats med en autocomplete-funktion och beaktar alla aktuella hämtningsintervaller som kommunen har önskat.

ASP.NET och PHP är i dagsläget de två mest använda back-end teknikerna för utveckling av dynamiska webbsidor. I denna studie har ASP.NET och PHP jämförts baserat på komplexitet, teknikens procentuella användning över webben, vilken teknik som används av populära webbsidor, teknikernas ålder, enkla uppgifter, plattformsberoende, kostnad, prestanda och säkerhet. Studien är riktad till nya utvecklare för att ge dem en bild av vilka likheter och skillnader som finns mellan ASP.NET och PHP. När skillnader och likheter redogjorts för inom nämnda områden togs rekommendationer fram som är riktade emot nya utvecklare som vill börja med webbutveckling. Två webbsidor, en med respektive teknik, har utvecklats för att ligga till grund för jämförelsen mellan teknikerna. När webbsidan inte kunde ligga till grund för jämförelsen baserades den istället på litteratur inom området. Efter att jämförelsen genomförts tilldelades teknikerna poäng baserat på vilka kriterier de hade en fördel i. Detta resulterade i att PHP fick fler poäng än ASP.NET och anses därför vara den bästa tekniken för nya användare. Rekommendationer till nya utvecklare anges efter presterat resultat och har delats in i kategorierna ’Rekommendationer för helt nya utvecklare’, ’Rekommendationer för utvecklare med erfarenhet inom C#’ och ’Rekommendationer för övriga utvecklare’.

Diploma thesis deals with design and creation of framework for modern web applications. The goal of the thesis is to create a fast, modern and modular MVC framework designed to create modern SPA-like web applications that has all the advantages of SPA but minimize or completely eliminate its disadvantages. The theoretical part explores existing MV* frameworks mainly from Node.js, but also from PHP or ASP.NET. It also deals with the analysis of the requirements for modern web frameworks to incorporate the technologies that are really used or replace bad or obsolete ones. The work itself deals with the design and implementation of the new MVC framework for Node.js, including the client part and some development support tools. An integral part of the thesis is the creation of a sample application in the created framework. At the end of the thesis there is summary of the created solution and the results of the comparison.

The main purpose of this work is to create an application for project management sup-port. This application contains basic functionality of current available applications which deal with project management, but moreover adds functions such as team communication support, establishing specific roles in the system (project managers, technical specialists, resource managers, regular employees), etc. The proposed system is able to estimate time and cost of task based on knowledge database created from previous realized project.

This master thesis is conducted as a conclusion of Master of Science degree in Production Engineering and Management at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. The focus of this thesis work is to make the work more convenient and improve production efficiency by building a management information system (MIS) thus replacing manual and decentralized information management mode on the shop floor. With the use of the computers in the office and tablets beside the machine of each work center on the shop floor, personnel can have access to the necessary information easily and quickly.   This management information system is built according to the actual production situation and needs in Bosch Rexroth AB in Mellansel. First, research on the production process and the management mode in the factory is conducted. Then, the form and the architecture of the system are decided. After thorough understanding and comparison, web application form and currently widely used Browser/Server (B/S) architecture are adopted. Finally, during the detailed design and system implementation process, databases and functional modules are developed. Microsoft Access is chosen as the database implementation. Microsoft Visual Studio.NET combined with C# language and IIS (Internet Information Service) is chosen as the application development tool. When conducting the user trial test on the shop floor, functions of this application system well meet the requirements, and associates can easily and quickly access the information. This application system can speed up the information flow in production, realizing more scientific, standardized and efficient management, which ultimately promotes the production and management of the enterprise.   This management information system realizes the following functions in a digitized way: 1. system security management: user registration, log in and permission settings; 2. drawings viewing; 3. instructions viewing; 4. maintenance recording and checking; 5. deviation reporting and processing; 6. process confirmation recording and checking. / Denna masteruppsats är slutuppgiften för civilingenjörsexamen i produktionsteknik och management på Kungliga Tekniska högskolan. Uppsatsens fokus är att skapa ett mer anpassat arbete samt öka produktionseffektiviteten genom att skapa ett informationshanteringssystem (MIS) och därmed ersätta manuell och decentraliserad informationsstyrning på verkstadsgolvet. Genom att använda datorer på kontoren samt surfplattor vid maskinerna på varje arbetsstation kan personalen snabbt och enkelt få tillgång till nödvändig information.   Detta informationshanteringssystem är utformat efter den nuvarande produktionssituationen och behoven hos Bosch Rexroth AB i Mellansel. Inledningsvis har en undersökning av produktionsprocessen och fabrikens ledningssätt utförts. Därefter har beslut tagits om systemets utformning och arkitektur. Efter djupare analys och jämförelse, har valet fallit på en webbläsar-/serverarkitektur (B/S) . Slutligen, under den detaljerade systemutformningen och -implementeringen utvecklades databaser och funktionella moduler. Microsoft Access har valts för databasimplementering. Microsoft Visual Studio.net i kombination med programspråket C# och IIS (Internet Information Server) har valts som utvecklingsverktyg. Vid införande och test i verkstaden visade sig systemets funktioner väl svar mot behoven och personalen kunde enkelt och snabbt komma åt informationen. Detta system kan öka informationsflödet produktionen och främja metodisk, standardiserad och effektiv förvaltning, vilket gynnar företagets produktion och styrning.

Detta projekts huvudsakliga syfte är att skapa ett frågespel där användare samtidigt kan spela mot andra genom att använda en mobil applikation. Den som startar en spelomgång får välja vilken kategori av frågor som ska ställas och ger därefter ut erhållen kod till vänner som i sin tur kan ansluta till spelet. Därefter exekveras spelomgång varpå resultat erhålls och vinnare utses. Teknisk lösning för detta projekt använder Unity3D för presentation av spelet på de mobila enheterna vilka sedan kommunicerar med en server som exekverar på plattform utvecklad med Microsoft .NET Core och SQL Server. För att administrera de kategorier och frågor som spelarna ställs inför används ASP.NET MVC på samma plattform. / The main purpose of this project is to create a quiz game where users are able to simultaneously play against others using a mobile application. Anyone who starts a game session can choose which category of questions to ask and then send out received code to friends who in their turn joins the game. A round is then started where players will answer questions, after which they obtain results and a winner is selected. Technical solution for this project uses Unity3D for presentation of the game on the mobile devices which then communicates with a server that executes on a platform developed with Microsoft .NET Core and SQL Server. ASP.NET MVC is used on the same platform to manage the categories and questions faced by the players.

Målet med examensarbetet har varit att genom litteraturstudie och intervjuer konstruera ett webbaserat SMS-system som kan användas till att sända SMS textmeddelande till en godtycklig mobiltelefonenhet. Meddelande som sänds ska även lagras i databas och administreras via webbsidan. En jämförelse har även genomförts där syftet har varit att undersöka bäst lämpat programspråk för Bluetooth applikation. Metoden har grundat sig på kriterier. Jämförelsen mellan programspråken gav att Java med bibliotek från BlueCove var det bäst lämpade programspråket.  För konstruktion av SMS-systemet har en objektbaserad utvecklingsmodell tillämpats, dock inte i full skala. SMS-systemet är konstruerat av webbsida, databas, blåtandsapplikation, Bluetooth- och mobiltelefonenhet. Webbsidan bygger på ASP.NET 2.0, databasen XML och blåtandsapplikation programmerades i Java. The aim of the project was, by means of literature studies and interviews, to create a web-based SMS-system which can be used to send SMS text messages to arbitrary mobile phone devices from a web page.  The sent messages are also to be stored in a database and administered by means of the website. A comparison was also conducted in which the aim was to investigate the most suitable programming language for the Bluetooth application. The model for the study was based on given criteria. The comparison suggested that the Java programming language with its library from BlueCove was the most suitable. For the development of the system an object-based model has been applied, but this has not been adopted in a full scale manner at the present time. The SMS-system has been constructed by means of a Website, database, Bluetooth application and mobile phone unit. The website is based on an ASP.NET 2.0, database on XML and the Bluetooth application was written using Java. A control was conducted in order to test that the system meets the required specifications.</p>

Denna rapport handlar om utveckling av administratörsfunktioner för applikationen QuickPick som är ett värdesystem för ett lager. I dagsläget finns det inga funktioner för användaren att sortera, gruppera eller filtrera vyinställningar i applikationen. De som använder systemet får kontakta Qsys Sverige AB, där detta uppdrag är utfört, för att ändra vyinställningar manuellt. Rapporten behandlar teori om hur ett lager är uppbyggt, hur man programmerar på ett generellt sätt så att det blir enklare att fortsätta utveckla funktionen. Teorin behandlar också hur man på ett användarvänligt sätt skapar ett system för en administratör.Funktionerna kommer att finnas i en webbportal tillgänglig för administratören och är utvecklat i C# och ASP.NET. Resultatet av rapporten är fungerande administratörsfunktioner för vyinställningar i en webbportal som kan användas i QuickPick applikationen. / This thesis is about development of administrative functions for the application QuickPick, which is a value system for warehouses. Today, there are no functions for the user to sort, group or filter the view settings in the application. Those who use the system need to contact Qsys Sverige AB to make this changes. Where also this thesis has been performed. The thesis deals theoretically with how a warehouse works, how you program in a general way, so it will be easier to continue the development of the functions and make a user friendly system for an administrator. The new functions will be available in a web-portal for administrators and it has been developed in C# and ASP.NET. The result of the thesis will be administrative functions for the view settings in a web-portal which can be used in the QuickPick application.
