<p>This report describes how we, with support from SYSteam Datakonsult AB Värnamo</p><p>builds a dynamic website for a fictional company. The purpose of this work is to tie</p><p>together our studies with the businesses in the region, and expand our knowledge.</p><p>Together with Peter Bäckrud from SYSteam we worked out the goals to achieve this</p><p>purpose. The goals are to create a polished intranet to a company with the webpage</p><p>publishing tool EPIserver</p><p>This report begins with describing the goals and visions that were set up. Then follows a</p><p>thorough theoretical background that describes the areas we have touched, to give the</p><p>reader an idea about the work. The report then moves into the creation phase that talks</p><p>about the problem that occurred during development.</p><p>The creation phase is split up into two parts where the first part gives a good description</p><p>about how we designed a usability friendly website that would fulfill the goals we had set</p><p>up. The other part talks about programming and the implementation of the different</p><p>features on the website.</p><p>Finally there’s an evaluation of the website from a usability perspective to give us an idea</p><p>of how good we made the design. ”Mobila enheter – anpassning av hemsidor skapade med EPiServer CMS” handlar om tekniker och metoder för att anpassa en hemsida skapad i publiceringsverktyget EPiServer CMS för mobila enheter. Rapporten berör både tekniska bitar så som hur man kan presentera två helt olika versioner av samma sida och hur man löser scrollning på mobila enheter till mer teoretiska avsnitt som handlar om hur man presenterar innehåll som passar den mobila enhetens skärm.Syftet var att undersöka om det är möjligt att skapa återanvändbar kod som går att använda på flera olika webbplatser och samtidigt skapa den mobila versionen med samma html-kod som redan finns och på så sätt undvika extra arbete för att koda om sidorna. Vidare så undersöktes det om det gick att få en ”app-känsla” på den mobila versionen utan att utveckla en nativ applikation.

The municipality of Nyköping has for a long period of time had complaints from its municipal residents considering the lack of information given about the municipalitys garbage collection. The municipality has not previously had data that has been able to respond to this, but now the municipality has compiled an Excel file with all current addresses considering the garbage collection. In order to be able to offer the information to the municipal residents, a search function was desired that could easily cater for this. The project was developed mainly in JavaScript and will be implemented in Episerver's environment that the municipality uses. The search function has been developed with an autocomplete function and takes into account all current garbage pickup intervals that the municipality has requested. / Nyköpings kommun har under en längre tid fått klagomål från sina kommuninvånare att det inte på ett enkelt vis går att tillhandahålla sig information kring när nästa sophämtning sker för deras adress. Kommunen har tidigare inte haft data som har kunnat svara på detta, men nu har kommunen sammanställt en Excel-fil med alla aktuella adresser och dess sophämtningar. För att kunna erbjuda informationen till kommuninvånarna önskades en sökfunktion som enkelt kunde presentera detta. Projektet utvecklades främst i JavaScript och ska implementeras i Episervers miljö som kommunen använder sig av. Sökfunktionen har utvecklats med en autocomplete-funktion och beaktar alla aktuella hämtningsintervaller som kommunen har önskat.

De flesta organisationer idag jobbar i någon typ av projektbaserad arbetsform. Ett sätt att effektivisera sina projekt kan vara att använda sig av lämpliga IT-stödsystem. Genom att ge projektet en intern yta för kommunikation- och informationshantering kan både moral och samarbetseffektiviteten att öka. Ett intranät är ett system som fyller just dessa funktioner och som många företag redan har, men inte alltid använder till just projekt. Anledningen till att varför ett intranät inte alltid är används är p.g.a. den höga administrationstiden som krävs för att anpassa verktyget att passa just organisationens projekt. I den här studien undersöks vilket intranätverktyg som är mest lämpat för projekthantering och hur ett förbättrat stöd kan åstadkommas. I studien identifieras de tre populäraste intranätverktygen i Sverige som EPiServer, SiteVision och SharePoint. Dessa undersöks närmre genom semistrukturerade intervjuer med konsulter inom varje verktyg. Med en kvalitativ och kvantitativ analys av intervjuerna så bedöms SharePoint som dess mest lämpade intranät för projekthantering. En fallstudie utförs hos JSC IT-Partner AB – ett IT-konsultföretag i Småland. I fallstudien utvecklas en IT-artefakt under forskningsmetodiken Design Science med ett inslag av den agila systemutvecklingsmetoden Scrum. IT-artefakten är en SharePoint App som ämnar att underlätta skapandet av projektportaler i JSC:s intranät. Artefakten evalueras genom ett försök att replikera den projektportal som redan används av JSC, men som inte är automatiserad. Resultatet av evalueringen ligger till grund för studiens resultat som visar att ett förbättrat stöd för projekthantering kan uppnås inom intranät med hjälp av programmering. I slutet av studien diskuteras de begränsningar som kan upplevas när ett intranät används för projekthantering och de problem som uppkommit under utvecklingsprocessen av artefakten. I studien diskuteras inte konsekvenserna av att införa en organisations projektverksamhet i ett intranät. JSC använde sedan tidigare sitt intranät för projekthanteringen och därmed undersöks inte övergången från externa system till ett intranät. / Many organisations today work with some kind of project oriented working method. One way to make it more efficient could be to use suitable IT support systems. By giving a project an internal area for communication and information management could increase members both morale and social collaboration. An intranet is a system that fulfil these conditions and is already highly used by organisations, but not so much for project management. This is partially because of the high amount of administration time required for successfully adapting the system for the specific organisations projects. This study examines different intranet systems to find the most suitable for project management and how it can be improved. In this study the three most popular intranet systems in Sweden is identified as EPiServer, SiteVision and SharePoint. These systems are investigated further by semi-structured interviews with consultants from each of the systems. With a qualitative and quantitative analysis SharePoint is recognized as the most suitable system for project management. A case study is performed at JSC IT-Partner AB – and IT Consultant Company in Småland. During the case study an IT artefact is developed by the combination of the research method Design Science and the agile system development method Scrum. The artefact is a SharePoint App that intend to facilitate the creation of project portals in JSCs intranet. The artefact is evaluated by trying to replicate the existing project portal that is already used by JSC, but that is not automated. The result from the evaluation is used when analysing and discussing the result from this research that proves that project management can be improved in intranets by the help of programming. In the end of this report there is a discussion about different limits that may occur when using an intranet for project management and what problems that were encountered during the development process of the artefact. There is no discussion about what impact using an intranet for project management may have for the organisation. JSC was already using their intranet for project management at the time and the purpose of the case study was not to analyse the consequences when moving from an external system to the organisation’s internal intranet.

In this study a 3D-application was developed to use for visualizing a website and its visitors in real time. The 3D application was developed to be used in websites developed in the CMS Episerver. This study has investigated the benefits of being able to see how website visitors navigate between webpages in real time, how scalable the implemented 3D application is, if its possible to develop a 3D application that can be implemented in Episerver websites and what the benefits of using 3D compared to 2D or text logs for the end user are. The 3D visualisation was built using the JavaScript library Babylon.js and works by modifying the Episerver Controller class to store relevant visitor data each time a visitor makes a HTTP request to the webserver. The data is then used with Babylon to render animations and visitor representations in the 3D application. Results show that a real time view of a website can be beneficial to be able to see load distribution, where visitors are positioned before restarting the server, to be used in user tests and in customer service cases and that the majority of questioned webadministrators thinks that it would be beneficial to be able to see their visitors in real time. Results also show that the application is not very scalable and that the use of 3D may not be beneficial for the end user. Finally recommendations for future development is presented and discussed. / I detta projekt utvecklades en 3D-visualisering av en webbplats vars syfte var att synliggöra besökares rörelser på webbplatsen i realtid. Visualiseringen skulle utvecklas på ett vis som gav enkel implementation på webbplatser byggda i Episerver. Studien undersöker huruvida det är möjligt att utveckla en 3D- visualisering för Episerver, eventuella fördelar med att se besökare i realtid, hur skalbar applikationen är samt vilka fördelar 3D har för slutanvändaren. 3D- visualiseringen byggdes i JavaScript-biblioteket Babylon.js och fungerar genom att modifiera Episervers controller-klass till att spara nödvändig information från besökaren vid varje förfrågan till servern. Datan används till att rita ut och animera besökares positioner på den 3D-renderade webbplatsen. Resultaten visar att det kan vara användbart att se besökare i realtid för att se lastdistribution på webbplatsen, för att undvika att besökare är i kritiska lägen vid omstart av servern, för att handleda besökare i kundserviceärenden eller för att samla information vid användartest. Vidare visar resultaten att applikationen inte är särskilt skalbar och att 3D inte är ger mervärde för slutanvändaren annat än för imponatoreffekt.

Sigma IT Consulting in Växjö gave the authors of this paper a task to change the search engine in one of their projects. To get a scientific view of the project the authors specified two research questions that could be connected to Sigma's problem. This problem is interesting to investigate since search engines are frequently used all over the world and often more user-friendly than classic menu navigation. To find a solution to the problem two experiments were conducted. The result from the experiments showed that the search engine EPiServer Find were, ever so slightly, outperformed Elasticsearch in the terms of relevance. The response time, however, had no significant difference.

When inRiver pushes to Episerver through a connector, there is no sure way to guarantee that all information is transferred without corruption. This project aims to create a service which pulls all product information from inRiver and Episerver and does a field by field comparison and creates a checksum for the values. The result of the comparison will be saved to a database and can be displayed graphically as a tree structure on a website. The project successfully achieved all the goals defined in the specification.

Arbetet behandlar säkerhetstestning av webbapplikationer och CMS plattformen EPiServer. För att Know IT Dalarna ska kunna fortsätta leverera säkra webblösningar efterfrågar de en säkerhetsanalys över plattformen EPiServer men även över sina egenutvecklade applikationer. Syftet med arbetet var att höja säkerheten kring Know ITs webbaserade projekt och samtidigt göra utvecklarna mer medvetna om säkerheten vid utvecklingsfasen. Resultatet var att EPiServer som plattformen tillhandahåller en fullgod säkerhet. De direkta brister som identifierades var upp till antingen Know IT eller kunden att åtgärda och ansvaret lades på den som hade hand om driften av webbplatsen. Säkerhetstesterna som utfördes var bland annat tester emot åtkomsthantering, avlyssningsattacker, lösenordsattacker, SQL-injections och XSS-attacker.För att förenkla säkerhetstestningen skapades en checklista innehållandes steg för steg för att göra en grundläggande säkerhetstestning. Den innehöll även rekommendationer till Know IT Dalarna på områden som ska belysas och undersökas i framtiden. Checklistan kan användas av utvecklarna för att säkerställa att ett pågående projekt håller en bra nivå säkerhetsmässigt. Listan måste i framtiden uppdateras och hållas i fas med den ständiga tekniska utvecklingen som sker på området.

The goal of the thesis work was to give Softronic AB, a management and IT consulting company, an overview of strengths and weaknesses of the four content management systems Magento CE 1.6.2, Episerver Commerce 1 R2 SP1, Wipcore eNOVA 5.3 and Umbraco CMS, as platforms for ecommerce. The evaluation was to be made from a marketing perspective as well as from a user and in-house developer's perspective. Additionally, the goal was to provide an overview of how certain functionality from a current project could be implemented on the Magento CE platform. To be able to evaluate the platforms, a study of current evaluation and comparison models was performed. This resulted in the choice of the framework Domain-specific Architecture Comparison Model. A comparison framework was derived and defined from this model, and applied on the platforms. The choice of what was to be measured, and how, was determined from literature studies of the e-commerce domain, as well as studies of current e-commerce platforms. The demonstration of the capabilities of the Magento platform was solved by creating a new Magento store instance, implementing two components from a reference project, as well as parts of the graphical user interface, and deploying the solution on a cloud server. The evaluation resulted in a description of the platforms' strengths and weaknesses, and a table showing the properties of the platforms. The evaluation indicated that the platforms Magento CE and Episerver Commerce were the strongest when it came to functionality and market readiness. Wipcore eNOVA and Umbraco CMS's strongest side was performance efficiency, while none of the platforms were assessed as particularly strong in terms of maintainability. / Målet med examensarbetet var att ge Softronic AB, ett konsultbolag inom IT och management, en översikt över vilka styrkor och svagheter de fyra CMS-plattformarna Magento CE 1.6.2, Episerver Commerce 1 R2 SP1, Wipcore eNOVA 5.3 samt Umbraco CMS hade som e-handelssystem. Utvärderingen skulle ske dels utifrån ett marknads- och kundperspektiv men också från ett utvecklarperspektiv inifrån företaget. Målet var också att ge en översikt över hur vissa funktioner för ett befintligt projekt kunde implementeras på plattformen Magento CE. För att utvärdera plattformarna gjordes en litteraturstudie över befintliga jämförelsemodeller, vilket resulterade i valet av ramverket Domain-specific Software Architecture Comparison Model. Ett jämförelseramverk definierades utifrån modellen och applicerades på plattformarna. Vad som skulle utvärderas och hur det skulle mätas bestämdes utifrån litteraturstudier av affärsområdet samt studier av befintliga e-handelsplattformar. Demonstrationen av Magentoplattformen löstes genom att sätta upp en Magento-installation på en molnserver och implementera två komponenter samt delar av det grafiska användargränssnittet för ett referensprojekt. Evalueringen resulterade i en beskrivning över plattformarnas styrkor och svagheter samt en överskådlig tabell som kan vara till nytta för Softronic i inledningsskedet av framtida ehandelsprojekt. Evalueringen visar att plattformarna Magento CE och Episerver Commerce är starkast när det gäller funktionalitet och att snabbt få ut en lösning på marknaden. Wipcore eNOVA och Umbraco CMS har styrkor när det gäller prestanda, medan ingen av plattformarna bedömdes vara starka när det gäller egenskaper som underlättar underhåll och utveckling.
