[en] ON MY MOTHERNULLS SIDE: AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL REFLECTIONS / [pt] POR PARTE DE MÃE: REFLEXÕES AUTOBIOGRÁFICAS10 December 2003 (has links)
partir desse documento, encontrado recentemente, são
feitas
reflexões sobre questões pertinentes à literatura como
escrita epistolar e autobiográfica, a necessidade da
escrita e a memória. A relação biógrafo/biografado é
tomada
As
[en] The purpose of this thesis is to reflect on questions
relating to the autobiographical genre within the
contemporary perspective of biographical studies, a
perspective that has been legitimizing these discourses
situated at the margins of literary canon. The object of
analysis is a testament/letter and a few photographs. The
317-page document was written by Camilo Cândido de Araújo,
my maternal grandfather, between September 14, 1969 and
January 26, 1970, and it was addressed to his eldest son.
The epistle - a memoir in content - is a legacy from a
father to his son; it is a form of autobiography that,
besides having been written in the final years of the
authors life, played a fundamental role in his own life
history. Based on this recently found material, reflections
are made on matters pertinent to literature as epistolary
and autobiographic writings, the necessity of writing, and
memory. The relationship between the biographer and his
subject is the starting point for highlighting the maternal
lineage. The family photographs serve as a counterpoint to
the text, as a supplement to the material in question.

Previous issue date: 2011-03-02 / The aim of this study is to analyze the constitution of identity in Ugly, autobiography of the British writer Constance Briscoe and the establishment with the reader of the autobiographical pact, as theorized by Philippe Lejeune. This study examined the use of rhetorical resources, through theorists such as Aristoteles and Heinrich Lausberg, and the question of identity, from the theories of Mikhail Bakhtin and Anthony Giddens. After analysis was verified that the character's identity is fluid, balancing between the past suffering by constant verbal abuses and its overcoming in the present.

Přestupný rok - Disiecta membra - Let let / The Forms of Autobiography. Přestupný rok - Disiecta membra - Let letStejskalová, Anna January 2016 (has links)
This doctoral thesis is concerned with autobiographical forms, their general characteristics as well as with three examples of Czech works of art that prove how difficult it is to make that general characteristics and show various kinds of autobiographical narrative. It aims to show the often heterogeneous character of the so- called autobiographical genres, and present some approaches in their study. In the opening chapter, we define the term autobiography or autobiographical form in regard to literary history and theory, and special attention to Czech research in this field. We concentrate on the genre specifics of autobiographical forms, the opposition of "literary" and "authentic" diary, the term "autobiographical pact" coined by Philippe Lejeune and several patterns of autobiographical memory introduced by James Olney. The key aspect of our study is the nature of autobiographical form derived from the subject's style and illocutionary acts, i. e. stylization as defined by John Searle followed by Jean Starobinski or Paul de Man. Out of the wide spectrum of issues connected with autobiography we focus on the description of the subject's narrative structure, mainly on its language, style, frequent motifs, its memory and relationship to other characters in its text. The complexity of the very...
