Seis corpos gran?ticos foram analisados: Monte das Gameleiras, Barcelona, Acari, Cara?bas, Tour?o e Catol? do Rocha, localizados nos dom?nios Rio Piranhas-Serid? e S?o Jos? de Campestre, NE do Brasil. Os pl?tons s?o representados por monzogranitos, texturalmente possuem f?cies porfir?tica compreendendo fenocristais de K-feldspato com tamanhos entre 5 a 15 cm. K-feldspato, plagiocl?sio e quartzo constituem a parag?nese f?lsica e dominante; enquanto biotita e anfib?lio representam os minerais m?ficos principais; titanita, minerais opacos, allanita, ep?doto, apatita e zirc?o s?o os principais acess?rios. Em rela??o ao ?ndice de Shand o granito Monte das Gameleiras mostra-se mais metaluminoso, enquanto os outros seguem a transi??o metaluminoso a peraluminoso. Em diagramas discriminantes qu?micos estes se apresentam com car?ter transicional (subalcalino). As an?lises de petrografia e qu?mica n?o exp?e as diferen?as dos granitos, por?m os resultados de qu?mica mineral revelam as diferen?as dos mesmos e podem ser divididos em dois grupos: a leste (Monte das Gameleiras, Barcelona e Acari) e a oeste (Cara?bas, Tour?o e Catol? do Rocha). As raz?es Fe/(Fe+Mg) da biotita mostra um aumentam do grupo leste para oeste com valores de 0,48 a 0,64 e 0,66 a 0,92 respectivamente. As raz?es Mg/(Mg+Fe2) do anfib?lio diminui nesse sentido com valores de 0,40 a 0,57 e 0,06 a 0,31. As condi??es de cristaliza??es para os granitos a leste (Monte das Gameleiras, Barcelona e Acari) mostram press?o entre 4.2 kbar a 5.8 kbar, com profundidades que variam de 15,9 km a 20,5 km a uma temperatura entre 710 ?C a 734?C e a oeste (Cara?bas, Tour?o e Catol? do Rocha) com press?es de 5,4 kbar a 7,1 kbar e profundidades que variam de 20 km a 23 km a uma temperatura entre 729 ?C - 753 ?C. Ambas as ?reas, tanto leste como oeste foram gerados a partir de magmas oxidados. As profundidades das intrus?es gran?ticas podem estar relacionadas aos deslocamentos de falhas e ao alto conte?do de ?gua e vol?teis que permitem que o magma de alguns plutons atinja n?veis mais rasos em rela??o aos outros. Os resultados mostram um aumento sistem?tico de temperatura e press?o de cristaliza??o dos pl?tons de leste para oeste sugerindo um espessamento crustal nessa dire??o nos dois dom?nios geol?gicos pesquisados. / The mineral chemistry from granites, chemical of whole rock and review of petrography were used to determine the crystallization conditions and the implications in the genesis of high-K calc-akaline granites that are porphyritics, localizated in the Rio Piranhas-Serid? (RPSD) and S?o Jos? de Campestre Domains (SJCD). Six granitic bodies were analyzed and that for the intrusive granites within the SJCD were named East granites: Monte das Gameleiras, Barcelona. The Acari granite intrudes the area RPSD, however, was called as granite east due to the characteristics of mineral chemistry is similar to east granites. Granites Cara?bas, Tour?o and Catol? do Rocha are intrusive in the RPSD and called west granites. The six bodies are located in the northeast of the Borborema Province, NE Brazil. The plutons are represented by monzogranites wich have porphyritic facies with phenocrysts of K-feldspar with sizes between 5 and 15 cm. The K-feldspar, plagioclase and quartz are the dominant paragenesis; while the biotite and amphibole are the main mafic minerals; and titanite, opaque minerals, allanite, epidote, apatite and zircon are the accessories minerals. The Monte das Gameleiras granite shows metaluminous aluminium saturation index, whereas the others plutons metaluminous to peraluminous. In geochemical diagrams, the granites present with transitional character (subalcalino). The petrographic and geochemical analysis didn't show the differences between the plutons, but according to the mineral chemistry they can be divided into two groups: Monte das Gameleiras, Barcelona and Acari (east) and Cara?bas, Tour?o e Catol? do Rocha (west). The Fe/(Fe + Mg) ratio of biotite shows an increase from east to west group with values from 0.45 to 0.64 and 0.66 to 0.92 respectively, and the Mg / (Mg + Fe2) of amphibole decreases with values from 0.40 to 0.57 and from 0.07 to 0.31. The crystallization parameters of east granites, The crystallization conditions for granites east (Monte das Gameleiras, Barcelona and Acari) show pressure between 3.8 kbar to 5.5 kbar, with depths ranging from 14 km to 21 km at a temperature between 701 ? C to 742?C and west (Cara?bas, Tour?o and Catol? Rock) with pressures to 4.8 kbar to 6.2 kbar and depths ranging from 18 km to 23 km at a temperature between 723 ? C - 776 ? C. Both areas, east and west were generated from magmas oxidized with ?FQM values (-1 a +2.0). The depths of granite intrusion failures may be related to offsets and high water content and volatile that allow the magma some plutons reaches shallower levels in relation to the other. The results show a systematic increase in temperature and crystallization pressure east of plutons west suggesting crustal thickening in that direction. This research evaluated antimicrobial action capacity in calcium hydroxide and tergentol various solutions starting for the CHD 20, a root canals irrigating solution with a reason of 80% calcium hydroxide saturated solution and 20% tergentol detergent with the aim of evaluate this drug mouth rinse indication with prevention or combat objective for dental caries and periodontal diseases. Antibiogram disks and biofilm tests were accomplished for the microorganisms: Streptococcus mutans, Streptococcus sanguis, Streptococcus sobrinus and Lactobacillus casei. Different reasons of detergent for the calcium hydroxide saturated solution, tergentol and distillated water solution, 0,12% clorhexydine digluconate solution was positive control and distillated water was negative control. The results showed better performance of clorhexydine in relation to calcium hydroxide directing to not accept this (CHD20) as mouth rinse solution / Na busca pela ci?ncia odontol?gica de se chegar ao composto que possa ser considerado o agente ideal para o controle qu?mico do biofilme dental foi idealizado este estudo. No laborat?rio de microbiologia do Departamento de Odontologia da UFRN, foram realizados testes em discos de antibiograma para os microrganismos: Streptococcus mutans, Streptococcus sanguis, Streptococcus sobrinus e Lactobacillus casei. Bem como em bact?rias formadoras de biofilme para os mesmos, ? exce??o do L. casei. Estipulou-se diferentes concentra??es de tergentol para a ?gua de cal, al?m do tergentol em ?gua destilada, usou-se digluconato de clorexidina a 0,12% como controle positivo e ?gua destilada como controle negativo. Os resultados mostraram desempenho inferior das solu??es a base de Ca(OH)2 em rela??o ? clorexidina frente a estes microrganismos e ? metodologia empregada, direcionando pois, para a n?o indica??o do uso do HCT 20 como colut?rio bucal

Fatores litog?nicos em pacientes com lit?ase urin?ria de Fortaleza, Cear?

Objective: To identify risk factors for lithiasis in kidney stone patients from Fortaleza, Brazil. In the first stage of the study, the medical records of 197 patients with urinary lithiasis covering the period 1996 2006 were analyzed with regard to clinical and metabolic data. In the second stage, 340 kidney stones were submitted to morphological examination under 10x magnification. According to the external morphology and the cut surface, the stones were classified as pure or mixed, and major and minor components were identified. In addition, the stone fragments of 25 patients treated with lithotripsy were submitted to morphological analysis. In the third stage, a subsample of 50 stones was used in a double-blind comparison of morphological and chemical findings. Results were expressed as concordant, partly concordant (discordant for minor components) or discordant (discordant for major components). The average age of first symptoms was 35.8?13.3 years, with no significant difference between the genders. The male/female ratio was 1:1.7. Recurrence was reported in 53.3% of cases. The main metabolic changes observed were hypernatriuria (80.7%), hypercalciuria (48.7%), low urine volume (43.7%), hyperoxaluria (30.5%) and hyperuricosuria (17.3%). Pure stones represented 34.7% of the total sample of 340 stones. The most common route of elimination was spontaneous for pure stones (49.1%) and surgical for mixed stones (50.5%). Pure stones consisted most frequently of calcium oxalate (OxCa) (59.3%) and uric acid (UA) (23.7%), the former prevalent in women, the latter prevalent in men. The most frequently observed component in mixed stones was OxCa (67.1%), followed by carbapatite (11.2%) and struvite (7.9%). The main components were OxCa and UA for men, and carbapatite and struvite for women. Nearly half (48%) the 25 analyzed fragments were pure, consisting of calcium oxalate dihydrate (COD) (56%), calcium oxalate monohydrate (COM) (48%), phosphate (32%) and UA (20%). Four patients (16%) had infectious stones. In the chemical analysis of the subsample of 50 stones, the most 64 frequently observed major components were calcium (70%), oxalate (66%), ammonium (56%), urate (28%) and carbonate (24%). In the morphological analysis, the main components were calcium and magnesium phosphate (32%), COM (24%), UA (20%), COD (18%) and cystine (6%). Morphological and chemical findings were totally concordant for 38% of the stones, partly concordant in 52% and discordant in 10%. Conclusion: The risk factors for lithiasis in kidney stone patients from Fortaleza (Brazil) were hyperoxaluria, hypercalciuria with or without hypernatriuria, hyperuricosuria and low urine volume / A lit?ase urin?ria ? um problema de sa?de p?blica pela elevada preval?ncia e recorr?ncia. Objetivo: O objetivo do presente estudo foi determinar os fatores litog?nicos em pacientes com lit?ase urin?ria de Fortaleza, Cear?. O estudo foi dividido em tr?s fases: na primeira, realizouse estudo documental de prontu?rios de 197 pacientes com lit?ase urin?ria atendidos entre 1996 e 2006, para a an?lise de dados cl?nicos e avalia??o metab?lica. Na segunda fase foi realizada uma avalia??o morfol?gica de 340 c?lculos urin?rios, classificando-os como puro ou misto e os componentes em majorit?rios ou minorit?rios. Foi tamb?m avaliado fragmentos de c?lculos de 25 pacientes tratados com litotripsia. Na terceira fase utilizou-se uma amostra de 50 c?lculos para um estudo duplo-cego comparando a an?lise morfol?gica e a an?lise qu?mica. Os resultados foram considerados como concordantes, parcialmente concordantes (componentes minorit?rios discordantes) ou discordantes (componentes majorit?rios discordantes). A m?dia de idade dos 197 pacientes no primeiro sintoma foi 35,8 ? 13,3 anos, n?o houve diferen?a entre os g?neros. A rela??o homem:mulher foi de 1:1,7, 53,3% eram recorrentes. As principais altera??es metab?licas foram hipernatri?ria (80,7%), hipercalci?ria (48,7%), volume urin?rio baixo (43,7%), hiperoxal?ria (30,5%) e hiperuricos?ria (17,3%). Entre os 340 c?lculos analisados, 34,7% foram puros. A via de elimina??o mais comum dos c?lculos puros foi a espont?nea (49,1%) e a dos mistos foi a cir?rgica (50,5%). Os c?lculos mais freq?entes foram o oxalato de c?lcio (OxCa=59,3%) e ?cido ?rico (AU=23,7%), sendo o primeiro mais comum nas mulheres e o segundo nos homens. Entre os c?lculos mistos, o OxCa foi o principal componente (67,1%), seguido da carbapatita (11,2%) e estruvita (7,9%). Os principais componentes nos homens foram o OxCa e AU, enquanto que nas mulheres foram a carbapatita e estruvita. Entre os 25 fragmentos de c?lculos analisados, 48% foram puros. Os componentes encontrados foram: OxCa dihidratado-COD (56%), OxCa monohidratado-COM (48%), fosfato (32%), AU (20%). Quatro pacientes (16%) apresentaram c?lculo de infec??o. Na an?lise qu?mica dos 50 c?lculos urin?rios os principais componentes majorit?rios foram c?lcio (70%), xvi oxalato (66%), am?nio (56%), urato (28%) e carbonato (24%), enquanto que na morfol?gica foram fosfato de c?lcio e magnesiano (32%), COM (24%), AU (20%), COD (18%) e cistina (6%). Assim, o objetivo deste trabalho ? caracterizar a ?gua produzida no Campo de Periquito, do Estado do RN e avaliar o potencial adsortivo do carv?o vegetal de coco baba?u para remo??o dos metais Ca e Sr da ?gua produzida, visando a sua adequa??o para descarte. Atrav?s da caracteriza??o f?sico-qu?mica da ?gua produzida, p?de-se observar que as concentra??es dos metais c?lcio e estr?ncio foram: 322 mg/L e 69 mg/L, respectivamente. O material a ser utilizado como adsorvente foi caracterizado por diferentes t?cnicas f?sico-qu?micas, tais como: granulometria, densidade aparente, an?lise elementar, an?lise t?rmica, FRX, MEV, DRX e pHPZC. De posse das an?lises das caracteriza??es foram realizados ensaios de adsor??o, pelo m?todo de banho finito em solu??es sint?ticas dos metais Ca e Sr. Os resultados demonstraram que o carv?o baba?u possui remo??o m?xima em baixas concentra??es. Paralelamente ao estudo de adsor??o em solu??es sint?ticas, foi realizado ensaios de adsor??o com a ?gua produzida e o resultado mostrou que o carv?o baba?u possui bom potencial de adsor??o, removendo acima de 50 % do c?lcio e acima 45 % do estr?ncio, e apresentando valores para a capacidade de adsor??o de 17,31 mg/g para o c?lcio e 3,15 mg/g para o estr?ncio. Para otimizar os ensaios de adsor??o foi aplicado o planejamento fatorial completo de dois n?veis com o intuito de verificar a influ?ncia da concentra??o dos metais Ca e Sr e a massa do adsorvente em solu??o sint?tica sobre a % remo??o e a capacidade de adsor??o dos metais. Atrav?s dos resultados das an?lises das superf?cies de respostas p?de-se observar que as regi?es ?timas para a remo??o dos metais foram no n?vel superior da concentra??o dos metais e no n?vel superior da massa de adsorvente (+1,+1) obtendo uma remo??o m?xima de 58 % do c?lcio e 63 % do estr?ncio. / Produced water is a major waste generated during oil exploration and production. Due to its large volume and complex chemical composition an effort arises so that the contaminant concentrations meet the current legislation, in order to reduce harmful effects on the environment caused by its disposal without prior treatment. The objective of this paper is to characterize produced water from the Periquito field, RN, Brazil, and assess the adsorptive potential of babassu nut charcoal for removal of calcium and strontium from produced water, focusing on its suitability for disposal. Through the physicochemical characterization of the produced water, it was possible to observe that the concentrations of calcium and strontium were: 322 mg/L and 69 mg/L, respectively. The material to be used as an adsorbent was characterized through different physicochemical techniques, such as laser particle size, density, elemental analysis, thermal analysis, XRF, SEM, XRD and pHPZC. Provided the characterization analysis, adsorption experiments were carried out using the method of finite bath in synthetic solutions of both calcium and strontium. The results showed that babassu nut charcoal has maximum adsorption removal at low concentrations. In parallel with the study on adsorption in synthetic solutions, adsorption experiments were performed with produced water, whose results showed that babassu nut charcoal has good adsorption potential, removing over 50% of calcium and above 45% strontium, and having values of 17.31 mg/g for the adsorption capacity for calcium and 3.15 mg/g for strontium. In order to optimize the experiments, the full factorial design of two levels was applied in order to verify the influence of the concentration of calcium, strontium and the mass of the adsorbent in synthetic solution on the percentage of removal (%) and the adsorption capacity of adsorption of these metals. From the analysis results, it was possible to observe that the optimal regions for the removal of these metals was in the upper level of the metal concentration and in the upper level of the adsorbent mass (+1, +1) obtaining a maximum removal of 58 % for calcium and 63 % for strontium.

They include accessory bricks, blocks, products in dense material, with or without reinforcements of hardware, great units in cellular material, and thermal insulating products. The elements calcium silicate are of great use in the prefabricated construction, being formed for dense masses and hardened by autoclaving. This work has for objective develop formulations that make possible the obtaining of calcium silicate blocks with characteristics that correspond the specifications technical, in the State of the Rio Grande of the North, in finality of obtaining technical viability for use in the civil construction. The work studied the availability raw materials from convenient for the production of calcium silicate blocks, and the effect of variations of the productive process on the developed products. The studied raw materials were: the quartz sand from the city of S?o Gon?alo do Amarante/RN, and two lime, a hydrated lime and a pure lime from the city of Governador Dix-Sept Rosado/RN. The raw materials collected were submitted a testes to particle size distribution, fluorescence of X rays, diffraction of X rays. Then were produced 8 formulations and made body-of-test by uniaxial pressing at 36 MPa, and cured for 7 hours at about 18 kgf/cm2 pressing and temperature of approximately 180 ?C. The cure technological properties evaluated were: lineal shrinkage, apparent density, apparent porosity, water absorption, modulus of rupture flexural (3 points), resistance compression, phase analysis (XRD) and micromorphological analysis (SEM). From the results presented the technological properties, was possible say that utilization of hydrated lime becomes more viable its utilization in mass limestone silica, for manufacture of calcium silicate blocks / Os tipos de produtos s?lico-calc?rios fabricados s?o muito diversificados em suas caracter?sticas. Eles incluem tijolos, blocos, produtos acess?rios em material denso, com ou sem refor?os de ferragem, grandes unidades em material celular, e produtos isolantes t?rmicos. Os elementos s?lico-calc?rios s?o de grande utiliza??o na constru??o pr?-fabricada, sendo formados por massas densas e endurecidos em autoclave. Este trabalho teve como objetivo desenvolver formula??es que possibilitem a obten??o de blocos s?lico-calc?rios com caracter?sticas que correspondem ?s especifica??es t?cnicas, no Estado do Rio Grande do Norte, na finalidade de obter viabilidade t?cnica para uso na constru??o civil. O trabalho estudou a disponibilidade de mat?rias-primas convenientes para a produ??o de blocos s?lico-calc?rios, e o efeito das varia??es do processo produtivo sobre os produtos desenvolvidos. Em seguida foram produzidas 8 formula??es e confeccionados corpos-de-prova por prensagem uniaxial a 36 MPa, e curados durante 7 horas em press?o de aproximadamente 18 kgf/cm2, e temperatura de aproximadamente 180?C. As propriedades tecnol?gicas de cura avaliadas foram: retra??o linear, massa espec?fica aparente, porosidade aparente, absor??o de ?gua, m?dulo de ruptura ? flex?o em 3 pontos, resist?ncia a compress?o, an?lise fases (DRX) e an?lise micromorfol?gica (MEV). A partir dos resultados apresentados das propriedades tecnol?gicas, foi poss?vel afirmar que a utiliza??o da cal hidratada torna-se mais vi?vel sua utiliza??o em massas s?lico-calc?rias, para fabrica??o de blocos s?lico-calc?rios

For this were installed six experiments. The results showed that the accelerated aging test and controlled deterioration were efficient to classification the sunflowers achenes lots. Under adverse conditions, the achene vigour evaluated by accelerated aging, controlled deterioration and electrical condutivity presented a higher correlation with sunflower plant emergence in field. Sunflower achene vigour improved the development of plants beyond 60 DAS and this effect may persist until the final production, at initial population ausence. Plants originated from smaller achenes vigour showed the lower total dry matter and leaf area index to 80 and 100 DAS, as well as lower culture growth rate in the period from 60 to 100 DAS. The plants conducted under the lower density had higher total dry matter and leaf area index at 40 and 60 DAS, as well as higher culture growth rate and relative growth rate in the period from 20 to 40 DAS. To the 60 days, at flowering high accumulation of dry mater, N, P K and Ca in stem, leaves and total at density of 45,000 seeds.ha-1. The sunflower achenes oil yield and dry mater and nutrients harvest index not affected by the achenes vigour and sowing density to / Os objetivos do trabalho foram de analisar a efici?ncia dos testes de envelhecimento acelerado e deteriora??o controlada na avalia??o do vigor de lotes de aqu?nios de girassol; correlacionar os resultados dos testes conduzidos no laborat?rio com a emerg?ncia das pl?ntulas de girassol em campo; avaliar a influ?ncia do vigor de aqu?nios de girassol no estabelecimento das pl?ntulas e no desempenho das plantas; verificar a influ?ncia do vigor dos aqu?nios e da densidade de semeadura no crescimento de plantas de girassol; avaliar o efeito do vigor dos aqu?nios e da densidade de semeadura no ac?mulo de nutrientes e no rendimento de ?leo em plantas de girassol. Para isto foram instalados seis experimentos. Os resultados permitiram concluir que os testes de envelhecimento acelerado e de deteriora??o controlada foram eficientes para classificar os lotes de aqu?nios de girassol. Em condi??es adversas, a emerg?ncia das pl?ntulas de girassol em campo apresentou maior correla??o com os testes de envelhecimento acelerado, de deteriora??o controlada e de condutividade el?trica. A utiliza??o de aqu?nios vigorosos de girassol foi favor?vel ao desenvolvimento das plantas ap?s 60 DAS e esse efeito persistiu at? a produ??o, na aus?ncia de diferen?a na popula??o inicial. A utiliza??o de aqu?nios de menor vigor produziu plantas com menor massa de mat?ria seca total e ?ndice de ?rea foliar aos 80 e 100 DAS, o que proporciona menor taxa de crescimento da cultura no per?odo de 60 a 100 DAS. Sob menor densidade, as plantas produzem maior massa de mat?ria seca total e ?ndice de ?rea foliar aos 40 e 60 DAS, o que proporciona maior taxa de crescimento da cultura e taxa de crescimento relativo no per?odo de 20 a 40 DAS. Aos 60 DAS, entre o florescimento e o enchimento, ocorreu maior ac?mulo de massa de mat?ria seca e de N, P, K e Ca no caule, nas folhas e total nas plantas de girassol produzidas sob a menor densidade de 45.000 sementes.ha-1. N?o houve efeito do vigor dos aqu?nios e da densidade de semeadura no rendimento de ?leo dos aqu?nios de girassol e nos ?ndices de colheita de massa de mat?ria seca e nutrientes.
