The academic route helped me to comprehend that school spaces are not the only spaces that provide music education. In the out-of-school spaces, many musical worlds can be discovered and these offer us a rich variety of teaching-learning relationships without the presence of the teacher in this process, since according to Petitat (2011) ?education derives from insertion in relations ? sometimes at schooling, but most of the time, not schooling?. The Shalom Catholic Community is not intended to promote musical learning, but the close relationship its members have with music is undeniable. Music is at the heart of Shalom spirituality, present in daily life and in the activities that the Community performs (Eucharistic celebration, prayer group meetings and events). In all these activities performed by the Shalom are assigned to the music varied functions and various uses. The present work aims to identify possible teaching-learning relationships and musical transmission in this out-of-school environment. To achieve this goal, I make use of the ethnography of music, seeking, through observation and data collection, to describe the ways in which people make "Shalom music".

Groupe de Cremona et espaces hyperboliques / Cremona group and hyperbolic spaces

Lonjou, Anne 14 September 2017 (has links)
The Cremona group of rank 2 is the group of birational transformations of the projective plane. The aim of this thesis is to study and build some hyperbolic spaces with a natural action of the Cremona group. We want these spaces to have good geometric properties in order to use methods coming from geometric group theory. It is known that the Cremona group acts on a hyperbolic space H which is similiar to the classical hyperbolic plane but in infinite dimension. First, using this action, we show that the Cremona group is not simple over any field. This extends previous results over an algrebraic closed field. Then we study the Wrigth's graph. We show that it doesn't have the property we are looking for, in the sense that it is not Gromov hyperbolic. We build a fundamental domain for the action of the Cremona group on H 8 via Voronoï's cells. We characterize birational tranformations that correspond to adjacent domains of the fundamental domain. This allows us to prove that the Wright's graph is quasi-isometric to the dual graph of this tessellation. It's give us a way of realizing the Wright's graph inside H. Finally, we show that by modifying the dual graph we obtain a Gromov hyperbolic graph. In the last part, we are interested in another classical property which is the CAT(0) property. We build an infinite dimensional CAT(0) cubical complex which comes with a natural action of the Cremona group.

Giralt, Anne 22 May 2017 (has links)
The goal of this thesis is to study of branched covers V' to V of closed hyperbolic manifolds that can be cubulated, i.e. Whose fundamental group pi_1(V) acts properly and cocompactly on a CAT(0) cube complex. We give sufficient conditions for pi_1(V') to be cubic as well.We tackle this question in two different ways. In a first approach we build a negatively curved cubical complex as a ramified cover of a cubical complex obtained by cubulating V. Then the main issue is to check that the fundamental group of this complexe is isomorphic to the fundamental group of V'. We manage to do so when V' is so called “Gromov-Thurston manifold “. Our second approach deals with the more general case where the branched locus of V' to V is contained in a codimension 1 convex submanifold. The preimage of this submanifold on V' and on the universal cover X' of V' provides a natural system of “walls”. Then the main issue is to show that these walls linearly separate X'. This enables us to use classical cubulation theorems.

Analys av SWMM-CAT och möjligheten att tillämpa SWMM-CAT i Sverige / Analysis of SWMM-CAT and the possibility to apply SWMM-CAT in Sweden

Aronsson, Andreas, Hinders, Niclas January 2015 (has links)
Sweden will during this century experience an increased amount of precipitation, up to 40 % in some parts of the country.  Flooding will be more common and heavy rain during short periods of time is the greatest threat of having a functioning drainage system. The amount of storm water that urban areas will have to handle can be massive due to the lack of infiltration areas.   SWMM-CAT (Storm Water Management Model – Climate Adjustment Tool) is software that can create future climate change projections. By searching for coordinates or zip-codes in the US the user can receive data for changes in precipitation, evaporation, temperature and 24-hour design storm at a specific location. The information can be used to get more knowledge of how these parameters will change in the future, but also to import as adjustment factors to SWMM (Storm Water Management Model). SWMM is a simulation software for planning and analysis of storm water runoff. The adjustment factors allow planning of sewer systems with consideration of future climate change.   To compare the results of a simulation with SWMM-CAT and without SWMM-CAT we constructed a SWMM-model. The result showed an increased water flow from the sub catchment area from 43 l/s to 66 l/s. This result displays that it is important to consider how the climate change can affect the sizing of sewer systems.   SWMM-CAT is a user friendly software and can easily be used to predict future climate change outcomes related to precipitation and temperature, but it demands experience from SWMM to make correct simulations with adjustments from SWMM-CAT. Since climate changes varies geographically, SWMM-CAT cannot be used in Sweden because the projections is based on a grid system over the US. The research of Rossby Centre provides future climate change projections in precipitation, evaporation and temperature for Sweden. We believe that it is sufficient data to create a software similar to SWMM-CAT in Sweden.   We believe that the best way to cope with the climate changes in urban areas is to combine future climate projections with low-impact development.

Biodiversity research and conservation in Cat Ba National Park with updated records from recent field surveys

Cao, Thi Thanh Nga, Nguyen, Song Tung 21 February 2019 (has links)
Among the protected area system of Vietnam, Cat Ba appears as an ideal national park for biodiversity research and conservation. It covers a large area of karst landscape including islands and different ecosystems ranging from forests, wetland, mangroves, caves and others. Since the establishment of Cat Ba National Park in 1986, biodiversity research and conservation within the park have been strongly promoted and raised. The park has been well known as home to highly diverse flora and fauna with many species endemic to the archipelago and Vietnam. A series of projects and programmes have been effectively implemented for urgent and long-term conservation of threatened species. However, results from scientific research also indicated that many sites and species are still almost unstudied while several sections of the park’s buffer zone are affected by human activities including unscientific development of ecotourism. We recently conduct a field survey and recorded 2 bat species and echolocation calls in their natural habitats. This paper provides an overview of achievements with recent records and recommendations for strengthening conservation of biodiversity and habitats in the park and surroundings.

No. of bitstreams: 1 Bruna Steckling.pdf: 1617437 bytes, checksum: a310841fa34ee2fb3a59be3ff493fbe8 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2013-03-13 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / Agrochemicals have become necessary to improve crops yields and provide the increasing demand for foods. Nevertheless, pesticides can persist in the environment and be harmful to non target organisms. Mesotrione, the active ingredient of Callisto, is a selective herbicide recommended for pre and post-emergent weed control in corn culture, with high leaching potential, and it has the ability to inhibit the activity of HPPD enzyme, interfering with the synthesis of carotenoids in target plants. The aim of this work was to evaluate the strategies used by the strain Bacillus megaterium Mes13 to avoid toxic effects of Callisto and its active substance, mesotrione, by analyzing the differential expression of antioxidative enzymes, mesotrione degradation, and changes in membrane structure. There were no specific responses from isozymes to herbicides. Catalase activity at Callisto treatment was lower than control, suggestingother mechanisms affecting cellular defense. Lipid peroxidation (MDA), which depends on saturation degree of membrane fatty acids, was lower at Callisto treatment, and changes in bacterial membrane were observed at Callisto treatment, probably protecting membrane against lipid peroxidation. Mesotrione was used neither as C nor N source for growing of Bacillus megaterium, although degradation of mesotrione was higher at minimal medium with no N source, suggesting that herbicide degradation occurs as a cometabolism. Probably the membrane modifications and mesotrione degradation made this bacteria able to tolerate the herbicides at experimental conditions.

Wirth, Gilson Inacio January 1994 (has links)
This work deals with software environments for automatic test and characterization of electro-electronical devices, components and circuits. Special attention is paid to the features of testing and characterizing integrated devices and circuits. The subject is treated in two different and complementary views: i) The needs of the test and characterization engineer are addressed. The test engineer carries out physical experiments, which embody measurements and data acquisitions, data processing, visualization and analysis. ii) The needs of the software tools developer, who develops computer programs for the automation of the procedures that are usually carried out during test and characterization, are also addressed. After the analysis of the subject under study, a software framework, called SGC ("Sistema de Gerenciamento e Controle"), is proposed and implemented. The SGC Framework was implemented under MS-WindowsTm using a object oriented approach. The SGC framework aims to fulfill the needs inherent to the automatic test and characterization, when treated using the approaches mentioned above. The SGC Framework is a open system, supporting the easy integration of new software functions to the environment, as well as a practical system for test and characterization laboratory routines.
