Kreativní centrum – Kopřivnice / Creative centre - Koprivnice

Rušarová, Eva Unknown Date (has links)
The diploma thesis proposes a design for a creative hub in the town of Kopřivnice. The site would create an ideal environment for research, exhibitions and discussions about major social issues through various forms of art (e.g. visual art, literature, performing arts). The area of interest is situated in the centre of Kopřivnice, defined by the Štefánikova street from the southwest and by the railway from the northeast, which forms a boundary between the Tatra plant area and the rest of the town. Considering the historical context and the location, the area has potential, which could be fulfilled by a realisation of the creative hub of contemporary art. With my proposal, I try to showcase the actual value of the place and thus enrich the historical construction of bricked halls with the dynamics which organic curves of a new auditorium and the vertical aspect of an observation tower provide. The thesis includes an analysis of trends and examples of similar hubs for contemporary art and an urban study, including solutions for a connection to surroundings, a definition of the possible functional use of neighbouring areas and a vision for potential restoration of the area.

Kristineberg- Centrum för Blå mat / Kristineberg- Centre of Blue food

Kitti, Karolina January 2021 (has links)
The Kristineberg research station is located at the inlet of the Gullmarsfjord in Bohuslän. The Gullmarsfjord has the shape of a bowl, which means that species that usually live further out to sea remain when they are washed in with the waves as they have difficulty getting back over the edge again. This makes it a great place to study marine life and researchers come here from all over the world to study here. The Bohuslän landscape has been characterized by the rough mountains and sea throughout history, herring periods have increased the population along the coastline and in between the population has decreased. Today, the goal for the research station is to develop the Swedes' marine diet, and at Kristineberg they are researching algae, crayfish and other marine cultivation, among other things. They are part of the organization Blue Food, which recently have received a large grant from the EU to reach their goal on develop marine diet in Sweden. My degree project explores the architectural possibilities of making Kristineberg the physical centre of Blue Food.
