Socialt arbete online? : En studie om för- och nackdelar medelevkurativa samtal online samt vad socionomutbildningen genererar för kunskap om fenomenet

Karlsson, Mathilda, Olander, Johan January 2013 (has links)
This study is about how school counselors in Kalmar County view the need for a pupil curative work online, what they believe are ethical aspects to be considered in social work online and if they feel they have sufficient training to conduct pupil curative conversations online. The aim has been to make contact with universities in Sweden to see if they have elements of social work education that lectures a social work online. The study is based on semi-structured interviews with school counselors in Kalmar County. The majority of the interviewed school counselors lacked the knowledge and experience of a student curative work online but some had discussed this phenomenon at work. One counselor worked daily with a pupil curative work online. The intention of interviewing universities to investigate whether there are elements of social work education that addresses a social work online defaulted unfortunately because they choose not to participate in the study. The main conclusion of our study is that school counselors consider themselves lacking sufficient knowledge to conduct pupil curative conversations online. All of the interviewed councilors wanted more knowledge about and discussion on the phenomenon. School counselors showed a slight ambivalence to a pupil curative work online, while many felt that they should meet young people where they were, in this case on the internet, they still advocated that personal interaction face to face is superior to internet curative work.

Neuropsykiatrisk diagnos eller inte?

Falk, Ebba, Larsson, Rebecca January 2018 (has links)
The purpose of this essay is to examine how professional conditions relate to the work with students who display neuropsychiatric difficulties in school. Furthermore, the authors of this essay wish to provide insight of which possibilities and limitations professionals experience in their joint work with students who display neuropsychiatric difficulties. The empirical material for the essay draws upon a qualitative method in the form of semi structured interviews with professionals who are in daily contact with students with neuropsychiatric difficulties. The empirical material has been analyzed with the help of previous related research together with the concepts of collaboration theory and acting according to Lipsky´s theory of street-level bureaucracy. The results show that the professionals ability to act in cases of students who display neuropsychiatric difficulties is affected by various forms of collaboration. The essay also suggests there are no considerable differences in task-design and in supporting a student with neuropsychiatric diagnosis compared to a student who only display similar symptoms and behavior. However, an established diagnosis might be favorable and can facilitate better conditions to act in situations concerning students with neuropsychiatric difficulties.

"...att kunna studsa in när det händer någonting..." Kuratorers arbete med och samverkan kring elever med ADHD

Behm, Anna, Averfalk, Erika January 2015 (has links)
The purpose of this essay is to study seven different school counsellors’ way of working and collaborating with students with an ADHD diagnosis. The informants we met come from different high schools in southern Sweden. The study is based on a qualitative approach and the primary knowledge was established through semi-structured interviews. The secondary knowledge is accounted for the form of previous research and theories. The collected material has been analysed based on important concepts about interaction theory, as well as the concept of discretion based on Lipsky's theory of street-level bureaucracy. Our results show that there is not a consistent way to work with students who have ADHD. Furthermore, the results show that collaboration is desirable but difficult to achieve with these students. The counsellors’ working methods and use of discretion were taken into consideration in the analysis. Also shown are positive and negative aspects of collaboration, both in the school and also outside organizations.

“Vi har ingen behandlande uppgift... vilket man kanske borde ha när man heter Kriminalvården” : En kvalitativ studie om det kurativa arbetet med häktade barn i Sverige / “We do not have a treating mission... which maybe we should have when we are called ‘The criminal care’” : A qualitative study about the curative work with detained children in Sweden

Lundahl Olsson, Wilma, Lundqvist, Nelly January 2023 (has links)
This study aims to discuss the conditions for a curative work with detained children in Sweden. Furthermore we will illuminate the connection between the conditions and the different professional roles at the detention centers. Along with this discussion we want to shed light on the psychosocial health of detained children to see if there is a need for curative work. The two research questions are: ●  What are the conditions for curative work for detained children? ●  In what way do professional roles affect the conditions for curative work? The method that was used to examine our research questions was semi-structured interviews with professionals working with detained children in the same arena but with different approaches. The interviews were conducted with seven people. Five of whom are employed by Kriminalvården (The Swedish correctional service - ‘The criminal care’) and two who are employed by an external actor and work with children in detention centres. The result shows that the discretion for curative work differentiates depending on what professional role the person is assigned. It appears that curative work is needed for the children's wellbeing. The result also shows that the guidelines and work ethics of Kriminalvården have not been adapted to the high number of detained children.

Kan du, vill du, vågar du? : - En kvantitativ enkätstudie om gymnasieelevers kunskap om och attityder till skolkurativt arbete samt benägenhet att vända sig till skolkuratorn. / Can you, do you want to, do you dare? : - A quantitative survey about secondary students' knowledge and attitudes towards school curative work and the tendency to seek help from school counselor.

Newman Hedin, Filippa, Johansson, Victoria January 2024 (has links)
Previous research has shown there is a lack of studies made about school counselors and their work with secondary school students, especially in a Swedish context. Although the research is limited, there are a few studies who can show that there is a distancing of students towards school counselors and students seeking help, but there also seems to be a lack of direction that makes school counselors work tasks to appear unclear. Previous research shows that there seem to be a few explanatory factors that may impact this behavior of students such as a lack of trust, a fear that confidentiality will be compromised as well as other people's opinions. The purpose of this study was to describe, analyze and find possible connections between secondary students' knowledge and attitudes towards school counselors and counselors' work tasks, and also secondary students' tendency to seek help. The study was carried out by a quantitative questionnaire study with focus on two different schools in two different municipalities. Empirical material was collected through google forms and participants were asked to fill out the survey online. We visited a few schools who were interested in participating in the questionnaire. The reason for this was because we had an idea of an increasing number of participants by visiting schools and informing them about this study and its purpose, and also to be able to answer any questions they might have. The results were analyzed through a univariate and a bivariate analysis and by using the Statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS). The results showed that students had a rather positive attitude towards school counselors, but still tend to not seek help if needed, which can be due to a lack of trust to the counselor.
