Mediální obraz Chile za vlády Augusto Pinocheta v československých a českých denících / The media image of Chile during Augusto Pinochet's rule in the Czechoslovakian and Czech daily newspapers

The aim of this thesis is to find out and describe, how was Chile depictured in Czechoslovakian and Czech daily newspaper during Augusto Pinochet's reign and then since the end of his presidency until his death. Augusto Pinochet got to power in 1973 as one of four members of the military junta that had overthrown socialist president Salvador Allende and his government of the Popular Front. Pinochet had soon become the most influential person in Chile and he had reigned since 1974 as president. Most of the Chileans voted against continuation of his presidency in 1988, and therefore he ended in 1989 as president. He remained an important person that divided Chileans into two groups until the end of his life in 2006. The theoretical part describes mainly the historical and economic development of Chile in the chosen time period. Furthermore it briefly explores Czechoslovakian and Czech history, mainly in order to describe the development of the printed media. The thesis analyses articles in Czechoslovakian daily newspaper Rudé právo, Lidová demokracie and Mladá fronta and then in Czech daily newspaper Právo, Mladá fronta and Hospodářské noviny. This masters disertation is focused on an important Czech politician Alois Rašín and his reflection in the period daily newspapers. The researched period is from October 1922 to February 1923. Three important events related to Rašín happened in that period - his second appointment as the minister of finances and his assassination. In the first chapter I write about Rašín as a person and politician. In the second chapter I focus on the political situation during the First republic and Rašín's uneasy relations to others. The third chapter is the research I do using the period daily newspapers. I epitomize my findings in the summary.

Während die Zahl journalistischer Veröffentlichungen zu Umweltthemen immer weiter steigt, sind wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen zu ihren Verfassern in Deutschland immer noch Mangelware. Die Diplomarbeit geht mithilfe einer Online-Befragung der Frage nach, wie die Arbeitsbedingungen von Tageszeitungsjournalisten aussehen. Außerdem wird mit einigen narrativen Interviews exploriert, welchen Rollenselbstbildern sich Journalisten zugehörig fühlen, die sich mit Umweltthemen befassen und ob dieses Selbstverständnis sich auch in den Arbeiten der Journalisten zeigt.

Syfte: Studiens syfte är att undersöka om Jönköpings-Postens övergång till tabloid haft någon inverkan på tidningens innehåll. Frågeställningen som arbetet bygger på är om Jönköpings-Posten uppvisar tendenser på tabloidisering i sitt innehåll i samband med formatförändringen den 7 november 2013. Material och metod: Materialet utgörs av sex tidningar, totalt 12 delar, i tryckt format från Jönköpings-Posten kring tiden för formatbytet. En kvantitativ innehållsanalys har använts som metod där begreppet tabloidisering operationaliserats. Resultat: Sammantaget går det inte att utläsa en entydig ökning av tabloidiseringstendenserna. Det är först vid en närmare granskning av resultatet som det går att upptäcka tendenser på tabloidisering i tidningens innehåll. Resultaten är många gånger tvetydiga och skulle utifrån tidigare forskning och teorier tala både för och emot en tabloidisering på samma gång. En slutsats som dras gällande Jönköpings-Posten är att tidningen endast i viss mån uppvisar tecken på tabloidisering i sitt innehåll i samband med övergången till tabloid. Studien stödjer endast delvis den tidigare forskningens uppfattning om att ett förändrat format också innebär ett förändrat innehåll. / Aim: The aim of this study is to examine if there´s been any affects in the content of the newspaper regarding the transition of Jönköpings-Posten going tabloid. The primary question that this study is based upon is if Jönköpings-Posten shows tendencies regarding tabloidization in the content due to the shift of the format 7th of November 2013. Material and method: The material contains of six newspapers from Jönköpings-Posten, totally 12 parts, in printed format around the time of the shift. A quantitative content analysis has been used as a method where the notion tabloidization has been operationalized. Conclusion: As a whole it is not possible to gather a straightforward increase of the tabloidization tendencies. It is not until a closer review of the result been made which tendencies of tabloidization in the content of the newspaper can be identified. The results are many times ambiguous and should regard to earlier research and theories speak for and against a tabloidization at the same time. One conclusion that is drawn concerning Jönköpings-Posten is that the newspaper only in a certain degree show signs of tabloidization in its content, in relation to the shift to tabloid. The study only partially supports the earlier opinion of previous research where a changed format also contributes to a changed content.

Durante o período de 1994/2002, o jornal Correio Braziliense implementou uma renovação em sua linguagem gráfica fruto de uma reformulação completa em seu projeto editorial que o levou a conquistar vários prêmios voltados para a área de design e de jornalismo. Foi um dos jornais mais premiados do mundo pela Society for News Design (SND) entidade da área de design de notícias de grande prestígio no mundo. Sob o comando do jornalista Ricardo Noblat, a reformulação do jornal passou por três fases: fevereiro de 1994, com o início do redirecionamento no rumo editorial; abril de 1996, com a implantação do novo projeto gráfico, realizada pelo designer Francisco Amaral; julho de 2000, com a revitalização do projeto gráfico, também pelo designer Francisco Amaral, o que ocorreu paralelamente à consolidação do projeto editorial. O foco desta pesquisa são as capas do primeiro caderno produzidas entre 1996 e 2002, período em que o design - completamente integrado à notícia - rendeu bons frutos em termos de aprimoramento gráfico. A importância do periódico de Brasília foi resultado de um trabalho construído ao longo de anos, com muitos desafios vencidos por uma equipe afinada e determinada a reinventar a forma de se fazer jornal diário no Brasil, cujo objetivo era ser um veículo independente, crítico e combativo.
