A sample of 261 respondents from the questionnaires structured based on the Academic Motivation Scale (EMA) was selected, and also had the participation of 25 interviewees, considering the three dimensions of intrinsic, extrinsic motivation and demotivation, presented by the Self-Determination Theory (Deci and Ryan, 1985). The collected data were analyzed with software SPSS 20 and Atlas.TI 7.0, through descriptive analysis and content analysis. The results showed that there are differences between the factors that generate the academic motivation among the students of Private and Public HEI. Beginning students of IES Private are more motivated extrinsically by identification, presenting as a preponderant factor, that university education will increase their competence as a professional, while the final students are more motivated by external control. The students of the Public HEI are more motivated extrinsically by external control, being the factors preponderant, in order to have a good remuneration in the future and, for the final students, was in order to obtain a prestigious job in the future. Regarding the types of motivation / demotivation and academic performance, the students oriented by intrinsic motivation presented themselves with the highest self-perception of performance among the students starting and finishing the HEI Private. In the public IES, the intrinsically motivated beginner students are the ones with the highest performance self-perception score, except for the final students in whom the self-perception score was higher among those motivated extrinsically, that is, there are differences between the factors that generate motivation / demotivation and self-perception of performance among beginners and undergraduates and between private and public HEI. Thus, the study concluded that students recognize that they are protagonists in the training process, therefore, responsible for the quality of learning, failing to transfer responsibility to courses, HEI and teachers. Finally, it is believed that the results of this study can contribute to the improvement of teaching and research in the Public and Private HEI courses in public and private HEIs, as well as teaching and research in other areas. / O objetivo do estudo foi conhecer como os diferentes estágios de motivação/desmotivação influenciam no desempenho dos discentes do curso de Ciências Contábeis de uma instituição de ensino privada e uma pública, conforme a Teoria da Autodeterminação. Foram selecionados alunos em estágio inicial (iniciantes) e final (concluintes) do curso, tendo sido formada uma amostra com 261 respondentes dos questionários estruturados com base na Escala de Motivação Acadêmica (EMA) e, também, contou com a participação de 25 entrevistados, considerando as três dimensões de motivação intrínseca, extrínseca e desmotivação, apresentadas pela Teoria da Autodeterminação (Deci e Ryan, 1985). Os dados coletados foram analisados com software SPSS 20 e Atlas.TI 7.0, por meio de análise descritiva e análise de conteúdo. Os resultados encontrados apontaram que existem diferenças entre os fatores que geram a motivação acadêmica entre os alunos de IES Privada e Pública. Os estudantes iniciantes de IES Privada são mais motivados extrinsecamente por identificação apresentando como fator preponderante, que a formação universitária aumentará sua competência como profissional, enquanto, os alunos concluintes são mais motivados por controle externo. Já os estudantes da IES Pública são mais motivados extrinsecamente por controle externo, sendo os fatores preponderantes, a fim de ter uma boa remuneração no futuro e, para os alunos concluintes, foi afim de obter um emprego de prestígio no futuro. Quanto aos tipos de motivação/desmotivação e o desempenho acadêmico, os alunos orientados por motivação intrínseca apresentaram-se com a nota maior de autopercepção de desempenho entre os alunos iniciantes e concluintes da IES Privada. Na IES Pública os alunos iniciantes motivados intrinsecamente são os que apresentaram maior nota de autopercepção de desempenho, com exceção dos alunos concluintes em que a nota de autopercepção foi maior entre aqueles motivados extrinsecamente, ou seja, existem diferenças entre os fatores que geram motivação/desmotivação e autopercepção de desempenho entre alunos iniciantes e concluintes e entre IES Privada e Pública. Assim, o estudo, concluiu que os estudantes reconheçam que são protagonistas no processo de formação, portanto, responsáveis pela qualidade da aprendizagem, deixando de transferir a responsabilidade aos cursos, IES e docentes. Por fim, acredita-se que os resultados deste estudo possam contribuir para o aprimoramento do ensino e da pesquisa nos Cursos de Ciências Contábeis de IES públicas e privadas do país, como também, para o ensino e pesquisa em outras áreas.

This master thesis focuses on the problem of motivation, stimulation and stabilization of the key employees in the company Česká zbrojovka a.s. The main aim of this thesis is to identify insufficiencies in the current system of employee motivation and to suggest potential changes leading to its improvement and assessment from the economic impact of the proposed improvements to the company. The theoretical part of the thesis contains the fundamental knowledge and base of the human resources management and also discusses various theories of work motivation. Reviewed problems of demotivation and unwanted employee turnover follow. The practical part of the thesis shows a qualitative analysis of the current system of the staff motivation in Česká zbrojovka a.s. There is also linked and combined theoretical knowledge with the corporate practice. The final part of the thesis is based on facts found from the survey which identifies imperfections in the existing system and formulates potential recommendations for improving employee motivation and stabilization in the analysed company in order to improve work performance, enhance job satisfaction and loyalty of employees to Česká zbrojovka a.s.

Factors influencing motivation of nursing students in the teaching and learning environment

Many factors are present in the teaching and learning environment that could influence students’ motivation positively or negatively. This study explores and describes the factors influencing motivation of nursing students in order to identify student support strategies to enhance motivation in the teaching and learning environment. A qualitative, exploratory, descriptive design was used. The accessible population was all final-year students registered for the certificate leading to enrolment as a nurse (R.2175) and studying at two campuses of a selected private Nursing Education Institution (NEI) in Gauteng province. The sample selection was non-probability, convenient sampling. Data was collected by means of semi-structured focus group interviews. The three main themes that emerged from the collected data were factors related to interpersonal relationships, factors related to the teaching and learning milieu and factors related to self-worth. Recommendations for student support in nursing education, student support in practice and for future research were made. / Verskeie faktore bestaan in die leeromgewing wat motivering van studente positief sowel as negatief beïnvloed. Hierdie studie ondersoek en beskryf die faktore wat die motivering van verpleegstudente beïnvloed om sodoende studentondersteuning-strategieë te identifiseer wat motivering in die leeromgewing sal bevorder. Die navorser het kwalitatiewe navorsing gebruik. Die toeganklike populasie was al die finale jaar studente geregistreer vir die kursus wat lei tot inskrywing as verpleegkundige (R.2175) en aan twee kampusse van ‘n geselekteerde privaatverpleegskool in die Gauteng provinsie studeer. Die nie-waarskynlikheids-, gerieflikheidsteekproeftegniek is gebruik. Semi-gestruktureerde fokusgroeponderhoude is gebruik om data in te samel. Основной целью исследования выступает изучение управления удовлетворенностью трудом персонала предприятий гостиничного бизнеса и разработка рекомендаций по его совершенствованию. В работе представлены понятие, признаки, факторы удовлетворенности трудом персонала, методы и методики изучения управления удовлетворенностью трудом персонала организации, а так же практика управления удовлетворенностью трудом персонала гостиничного бизнеса в России и за рубежом. Описывается общая характеристика исследуемых предприятий, качественный и количественный анализ персонала гостиничных предприятий, анализ и исследование удовлетворенности трудом в сфере гостиничного бизнеса. В заключении подведены итоги в соответствии с поставленными целями и задачами, а на основе полученных данных разработаны рекомендации по совершенствованию управления удовлетворенностью трудом персонала. / The final qualifying work (master's thesis) is devoted to the study of labor satisfaction management of hotel business personnel. The subject of the study is the management of staff job satisfaction. The main purpose of the study is to study the management of job satisfaction of the staff of the hotel business and develop recommendations for its improvement. The paper presents the concept, signs, factors of staff satisfaction with work, methods and techniques for studying the management of employee satisfaction with the work of the organization's personnel, as well as the practice of managing the satisfaction with the work of hotel business personnel in Russia and abroad. It describes the general characteristics of the enterprises under study, a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the personnel of hotel enterprises, analysis and research of job satisfaction in the hotel business. In conclusion, the results are summarized in accordance with the goals and objectives set, and on the basis of the data obtained, recommendations are developed to improve the management of staff satisfaction with work.

The profession of a general nurse is a specific job with high demands. At present, recruiting and retaining general nurses is an urgent and fundamental problem not only in the Czech Republic but also worldwide. The extent of the shortage of general nurses is not clear. The Czech Nursing Association (ČAS) reports figures ranging from 2000 to 3300 for the years 2017 and 2018. The lack of trained and qualified general nurses results in a series of negative effects, impacting not only the quality but also availability of the care provided. Some foreign studies even indicate that the shortage of nurses increases the likelihood of complications and patient deaths (Aiken et al., 2014). By recognizing the motivational and demotivational factors impacting the satisfaction of nurses we can help to retain general nurses in their jobs and increase their work performance. The research survey implemented at one specific intensive care unit of the highest level was conducted using the qualitative research method. The data collection took place in the form of semi-structured interviews and was completed by achieving data saturation. The qualitative data were audio recorded to maintain authenticity. In dieser Forschungsarbeit wird untersucht, welche Motive ausschlaggebend dafür sind, dass leitende Frauen und Männer unterschiedlichsten Alters über Jahre hinweg treu ihren Dienst in einer Einrichtung für suchtkranke Menschen tun und dabei nicht resignieren. Anhand von geführten Leitfaden-Interviews lässt sich dabei erkennen, inwieweit auch christliche Motive eine Grundlage für den ehrenamtlichen Einsatz darstellen. Dazu gibt besonders Joachim Bauer mit seinen neurobiologischen Untersuchungen der menschlichen Motivationssysteme viele Anhaltspunkte. Die durchgeführten Interviews werden mithilfe einer thematischen Inhaltsanalyse bearbeitet und anschließend bewertet. Abschließend werden Vorschläge zum Umgang mit ehrenamtlichen Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern in der Suchtkrankenhilfe formuliert.
