Aplikace systémové dynamiky v oblasti digitalizace dokumentů / Application of System Dynamics in Documents Digitization

Rataj, Jan January 2015 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with system dynamics and its applications in the field of digitization of documents. This is an area whose importance is increasing. The need for the transfer and storage of digital documents at the present time there is a significant increase in the volume of data continues to grow. One of the appropriate tools of analysis digitization of documents is the system dynamics, which in the Czech Republic in the area of document digitization has not yet been used. The objective of this thesis is to create a system dynamics models for the area of document digitization, through the application of methods of system dynamics and then verify their applicability to specific data digitization projects acquired from practice. These models are universally applicable to virtually all types of projects to digitize documents. The main contribution of the thesis is the development of system dynamics models, which are universally applicable to a wide variety of projects to digitize documents and can be used to simulate the progress of digitization of documents. In practice, these models for companies dealing with digitization show the benefits of documents digitization to potential customers.

Green, Wictor, Edström, Oskar January 2020 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to examine managers' perceived influence on informal learningwithin their work team in a digitalized work environment. The study uses a qualitative methodwith the empirical material gathered using interviews. The data was, after the interviews, interpreted using a hermeneutic orientation. The study's informants are department managers in knowledge intensive workplaces from five different organizations. The results have been interpreted with the help of Illeris (2004) model of workplace learning. After analyzing theempirical data, four themes can be identified: resources, communication, culture and relationship oriented leadership. The result indicates that the informants have a good understanding of what it takes, both from the organization and from their perspectives as managers to enable informal learning. Because of the ever-changing digital work-environment,where remote work is frequent, a fully functioning communication for ideal learning is missing according to the informant's liking. Furthermore the digitized work environment is still in itscrate and that new technical solutions to enable informal learning are being developed continuously in all of the informants organizations. It is harder to establish cohesiveness and organizational culture with work being remote, because there is, for example lack, of everyday conversations. Instead, focus lies on purpose driven conversations and meetings and not at all the spontaneous meetings that happen when people are on site physically. The conclusion is thus that the digital tools are very much established. There is constant development to integrate and digitize training to simplify the informal learning, even if remote work occurs. Organizations and work content is in a transformational phase and has been put to the test during the covid-19 pandemic. What we can identify is that remote work is not changing the way we work all that much. Instead, it is dissolving the physical workplace. The result of these changes is the lack of cohesiveness and the everyday conversations which are fundamental and paramount to establish informal learning.

Sopjani, Hamide January 2018 (has links)
This study writes in an interest of a company that works with 3D-simulation in prototyping sample garments. The purpose of the study is to investigate the correspondence between the virtual and physical try-on regarding size, fit and fabric choice. The study examines the 3D-simulation program CLO 3D and digitization of fabric samples with the CLO Fabric kit application as a complement to evaluate the difference between virtual and physical try-on. Two garment, consisting of t-shirt made of knitted cotton and a shirt made of linen, are fitted in size XS, M and XL on three test persons and three avatars with corresponding measurements. A protocol containing photos from both virtual and physical try-on where evaluated with questions regarding the balance and fit of the garment. It showed that the T-shirt made of knitted cotton gave equivalent results between virtual and physical try-on in all sizes. When comparing the shirt in linen, the fit differed in size XL during virtual and physical try-on. However, Size XS and M had a similar result during virtual and physical try-on. Using 3D-simulation is an advantage when you can modify the avatar's dimensions, digitize fabric samples and try multiple sizes during virtual try-on. However, one needs to be aware that several factors can affect the fit during virtual try-on, such as the avatar posture and the mechanical properties of the fabric during digitization.

Ewerbring, Johanna January 2021 (has links)
The Swedish people are making more and more mobile payments, (Riksbanken, 2020), but despite the change in behaviour as a private individual, the situation for Swedishcompanies seems to be different. The Ministry of Trade and Industry (2021) states thatSwedish companies remain in analogue payment processes, a thesis The World PaymentReport (2020) agrees with, while they state that digitized business models around B2Bpayments are predicted to have great development potential. What does it look like in research on mobile payments? In the compilation of Dahlberg etal (2015; 2008), it is feared that the research perspective has been too focused on privateindividuals, which has created a gap between practice and academia. This study aims to shed light on the situation of Swedish micro-entrepreneurs by lookingat how Swedish micro-entrepreneurs use services linked to mobile payments, what theirexpectations are and how the services meet the needs of micro-companies.This was done on the basis of a theoretical framework by Apanasevic et al (2016), whichis well suited as it partly contributes to a new perspective on issues concerning mobilepayments and attaches great importance to the respondents' expectations. Using aninterpretive research method, the study was conducted as a qualitative study in whichseven qualitative, semi-structured interviews were analysed thematically. The study concluded that Swedish micro-entrepreneurs' adoption of mobile paymentservices differs. From managing the entire company's finances through an app to mainlyusing mobile means of payment in situation-adapted events, or not using mobile means ofpayment at all. The study also shows that the expectation when an entrepreneur switchesto a mobile means of payment is to digitize a manual process. If this is done wholeheartedly, the entrepreneurs are satisfied with the mobile service and expectations are met.Integrated systems, especially with accounting, are very positive. As in previous research,a fast, smooth and clear service is perceived positively, and its opposites as negative.Entrepreneur’s reason about internal business opportunities, that the service saves themtime, as time is money. This differs from studies that look at retailers and privatecustomers, where previous studies like Mallat (2007), and Apanasevic et al (2016) ratherfocus on a mobile payment service creating external business opportunities that can attractnew customers or more sales. For future research, case studies on the mobile services mentioned in this study areproposed, in accordance with continuing to broaden the perspective in mobile payments.

The difficult task of finding digitized music manuscripts in online library collection

Peetz-Ullman, Juliane January 2020 (has links)
Music researchers are seldom at the center of attention as a user group within LIS. Thus, investigations of search possibilities for digitized music manuscript collections with a user perspective are lacking. Here, three digitized music manuscript collections (the Schrank II collection in Dresden, the Utile Dulci collection in Stockholm, and the Düben collection in Uppsala) are examined with regard to the accessibility of their contents to the target user group in two steps: First, music researchers are asked about their information seeking process and queries. They are observed in surveys, interviews, and think-aloud protocols. Second, the three retrieval systems are subjected to a performance evaluation by means of precision, recall, and F1 measures. The results show that music researchers are seeking information either with known-item searching, browsing, or subject search, yet the latter with considerably different subjects than, for example, in the domain of literature. In addition, while music researchers are expressing their satisfaction with the discovery systems, the observations from protocol analysis and the performance evaluation show that all three have issues in retrieving relevant documents for music-specific queries.
