This submitted thesis analyses the public mass transport of the commuting area in the Milevsko region between 1991 - 2001. The introductory chapters attend to the aims of this thesis and to the list of the published literature. The chapter {\clqq}Metodika zpracování`` covers the description of the individual methods, which are used for the description of the commuting area of Milevsko and for the roading of the Milevsko region. The following chapter is focused on the chosen geographical characteristics of Milevsko. The next chapters consider the roading and the commuting of the inhabitants to work in this region. Within this chapter is also described the development of the commuting in the Czech republic and in the South Bohemian region. The last chapter involves the evaluation of the surveyed problems.

This work is focused on the application of carpool, as appropriate solutions to reduce private car traffic. Improving transport accessibility and mobility is possible through the implementation of carpool system at the regional leve. Based on the available data say about the quality of transport services, have been selected data (variables) is subsituted into the formula created to calculate the total level of public transport under whose results could be to assess the level of quality of transport services surveyed villages, the to evaluate and select the region for possible carpool implementation. Build patterns and subsequent results were essentially necessary step to objective analysis is used for selecting the region to carpool application system.

Every year thousands of people die on the roads because of car crashes. Every year is this situation getting worse and brings problems to the families of victims and to the country as well. To solve this problem completely is really impossible but our country has to try decrease number of accidents and protect drivers. My research explains how many accidents are caused by senseless reasons and describes problems with work injuries in the transportation industry. Voluntary organizations, police and public organizations try to change this sad situation, but police statistics are clear and still show high number of victims, injured people and accidents. My measurements describe real situation in our country. Big problems are caused by infringement of law and irresponsibility. Future development depends on new ways of protecting people and new transport policy.

Resume Rendition of public services within integrated transport systems The purpose of my thesis is study of public transportation as a public service, which is provided in integrated transport systems. The thesis is composed of eight chapters and introduction. It introduces in with brief story to the subject of thesis and defines key terms for this thesis. First chapter does not focus on public transportation, but it looks at public service generally. It mentions important kinds of public service in western culture and deals with some of examples in the Czech Republic. Second chapter presents key terms. In first sub chapter term is public transportation. It includes historical development of public transportation and its current situation. Second sub chapter contains development of transit districts around the world and in the Czech Republic. Integrated transport system is also known as transport district or passenger transport executive. In Czech name "Integrovaný dopravní systém"is used, which stands for integrated transportation system. Last sub chapter is about such system in Prague, capital of the Czech Republic, which is called Prague integrated transport (PIT). This thesis deals with actual state of public transport in the Sušice region and proposes provisions, which are leading to higher quality and efficiency. To attainment this proposal, methods of questioning passengers and evaluation of the data are used.Investigated will be also the problems of actual state. Those are primarily absence transfer lines, inappropriate offer of connections and low workload of some connections. This is often caused by absence of concurrently two or more which are going on the same way in short time distance. Proposed procurations going to be conceived as new time tables. These timetables will ensure traffic serviceability in the region, where going to be symbolize the most imported transfer links too. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the current public transport accessibility of the city Kaplice and suggest improvements for further functioning. The first theoretical part explains the used transport and demographic terms and methods as well as the characteristics of the city itself. The second analytical part analyzes the city public transport situation and related demographic variables. The emphasis is on the evaluation of the current situation in all modes of transport and the combination of demographic and transport characteristics in favor of creating an overal framework. For this reason the SWOT analysis was carried out. At the end of the thesis the population projection is used to estimate future developments in this area and outline possible solutions and recommendations for optimal and efficient public transport in the town.

This paper tries to find out whether a short ban on sales of liquors reduced the harmful use of alcohol with respect to motor vehicle accidents. I make use of short (two weeks) alcohol prohibition which was imposed by the Ministry of Health Care in the Czech Republic in September 2012 aiming to stop the deadly wave of methanol poisoning. To estimate the effect of prohibition on the number of road traffic accidents, I exploit the methodology of differences-in-differences. I use daily data about traffic accidents from the Czech Republic (treatment group) and from neighboring countries such as Austria, Germany and Poland (control group). The result suggests that there is no significant drop in term of road traffic accidents.

The aim of this thesis is to create optimal strategy of developement of municipality Lety which is located in suburban area of Prague given suburbanization processes. This paper is focused on economic, social and environmental consequences. The theoretical part is focused on main parameters of suburbanization, its developement in the world and in the Czech Republic, further on types of suburbanization, measurement, causes and consequences. The practical part is focused on a municipality Lety which must face suburbanization processes since 90s. This situation is compared with neighboring municipalities Řevnice, Dobřichovice and Černošice. Based on the findings is created optimal plan of future develepoment municipality Lety which is consistent with its strategical and spatial plan. The methods that has been used on this topic were literature review, data analysis, comparison and observation. To process the data, official statistics were also used.

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá socioekonomickým vývojem Podbořanska. Charakterizuje tento mikroregion z hlediska jeho historického, demografického, ekonomického a sociálního vývoje. Zkoumá přírodní a kulturní potenciál mikroregionu, dále jeho sídelní strukturu, obyvatelstvo, místní ekonomiku a trh práce, občanskou a dopravní infrastrukturu. V praktické části jsou zpracovány výsledky sociologického šetření názorů místních obyvatel, významných firem a podnikatelů a také představitelů obcí, nebo-li starostů na Podbořansko. Data byla získána vlastním průzkumem v terénu pomocí dotazníků a řízených pohovorů s respondenty. Na základě všech těchto poznatků jsou v práci pojmenovány hlavní problémy a bariéry rozvoje území. V závěru práce jsou definovány příležitosti a potenciál území pro jeho budoucí rozvoj.

Dopravou rozumíme pohyb dopravního prostředu po dopravní cestě. Výsledkem dopravního procesu je přeprava, která tvoří užitečný efekt (produkt) dopravy. Individuální potřeby a zájmy jednotlivých dopravců se na přepravním trhu prosazují ve dvojím významu. Jednak jde o střetávání nabídky mezi jednotlivými dopravci uvnitř daného druhu dopravy, jednak střetávání nabídky dopravců různých druhů dopravy s poptávkou. Doprava je součástí infrastrukturních národohospodářských odvětví, která zajišťují předpoklady pro rozvoj ekonomiky. Podnikání v dopravě se řídí živnostenským zákonem a zákony upravujícími podnikání v jednotlivých druzích dopravy. Provozně ekonomický proces v dopravě má svá specifika. Založení podniku má svá rizika.
