Master´s thesis solves the question of financing a new vehicle for selected company by external resources. Specifically, it focuses on the comparison of offers financial leasing and credits from leasing companies. The aim of thesis is to analyze the offer and choose the best for financing new vehicle.

Dorso-abdominal scent glands (= DAGs) of larvae represent one of apomorphic characters of insects order Heteroptera. These glands can persist until adults in different taxa. The persistence of DAGs were proved in the members of the family Acanthosomatidae. The ontogenetic development of DAGs cuticular structures were studied in all stadia, from 1st larval instar to adults of acanthosomatid Elasmucha ferrugata (Fabricius, 1787). The study concerned external structures and sculptures associated with DAG ostiole and areas of their surfaces, as well as internal structures, shape of gland reservoir and number of conducting ductules of proper glandular units. The light microscope and stereomicroscope and scanning electron microscope were used for this comprehensive study.

Born into a visual culture, today’s generation of learners generally prefer a visually-rich multimodal learning environment. Tapping into the potential of visuals in language pedagogy, this study was aimed at discovering the impact of a visual presentation of grammatical concepts related to sentence structure on student writing. The study used a mixed methods design to analyse the impact of the visual approach first by statistically measuring sentence variety and syntactic complexity of student pre and post intervention texts and then using interviews to explain the nature of the impact of visuals on student conceptual understanding and its effect on their writing development. Statistical findings reveal that the experimental groups of Chinese students who were taught grammatical concepts in the context of writing instruction using a visual approach outperformed the students in the control groups who were given similar lessons in the context of writing instruction but using traditional printed hand-outs. Qualitative findings suggest that the visuals seems to have increased these students’ conceptual understanding of grammatical items that were taught, and this resulted in more sophisticated and syntactically complex texts after the intervention. The study supports the theory of contextualized teaching of grammar and proposes the use of external visuals that lead to internal visualization based on the cognitive theory of multimodal learning. In so doing, it extends the use of visual learning to grammar pedagogy. However, the findings also suggest that the visual approach would not work effectively in cultures that promote rote learning and decontextualized exercises in grammar with the sole aim of passing the exams. A shift in attitude towards grammar pedagogy in China is deemed necessary.

In this dissertation, the strategic planning process in a family owned firm of Saudi Arabia will be discussed. The main aim is to develop a comprehensive model of strategic planning, specific and customized to the family businesses of Saudi Arabia. The model will encompass all the factors that are unique to the Saudi Arabian family businesses, such as the family culture of Saudi business families, the interfamily dynamics that shape the strategic approach of the family and the unique market conditions or the external environment that influences the strategic planning process of family owned firms in Saudi Arabia. The literature review extensively covers the topic of strategic planning, family business dynamics and major salient features of family business described by various authors. The literature review also discusses the models of family business that define the interaction of various elements in family owned firms, their drawbacks and the gaps in applicability of these documented models to family businesses in general and specificallyt o Saudi Arabian family businessesT. he literaturer eview revealst hat there is no comprehensivem odel of strategicp lanning processf or the family owned firms that highlight all the critical factors that shape the strategic planning process and also documents uccessfufli rms that haveb enefitedf rom thesem odels. Based on an extensive survey of the family owned firms of Saudi Arabia and statistical analysis of various unique features of such firms, the most critical factors that play a major role in strategy formulation could be isolated. These critical factors helped in designing the strategic planning model for the family owned firms of Saudi Arabia. The model was practically implemented and validated in 10 family businesses of the kingdom and results confirm the applicability of this model. The model formulation and validation in the family firms of Saudi Arabia, forms the main focus of this dissertation.

Title: Application of the theory Service-Profit Chain on the example of sport event Gigathlon Czech Republic 2016 Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is application of the theory Service-Profit Chain on the example of sport event Gigathlon Czech Republic 2016. Another partial task is to evaluate the internal and external environment of the race Gigathlon Czech Republic and on the basis of data analysis to determine the suggestions and recommendations for improvement that will be passed to race organizers. Methods: Using the theory of Service-Profit Chain and its individual parts, the sport event Gigathlon Czech Republic 2016 is analyzed. Data concerning internal environment of the event are obtained using methods of semi-structured interview with the main event organizers. To analyse the external environment is used the online questionnaire distributed among the participants of the race. These methods are supplemented by own participant observation during the sport event. Results: After application of the theory of Service-Profit Chain on the example of Gigathlon Czech Republic in 2016 it is not possible to fully confirm all the supposed relationship between different parts of the chain. The main purpose of this thesis was to compare and evaluate status of management and economy system of the selected retail units and based on this analysis to identify strengths and weaknesses of the companies and to determine potential measures to improve. For this thesis I chose PRIOR ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA, s.r.o., the second company I focused on was the OD Andy, s.r.o. I focused mainly on their management, organization, economy, human resources and then I also analyzed the macro environment of these companies. For this step I used the STEP analyses.

Como objetivos específicos, pretendemos: I) Verificar quais os motivos do abandono escolar nas quatro escolas com maior taxa de abandono escolar da CDE 05, na visão de alunos, gestor escolar, assim como do Coordenador da Redução do Abandono Escolar – CRAE - da CDE 05. II) Analisar os motivos mais recorrentes de infrequência e abandono dentre os alunos que abandonaram as escolas em 2016 e que se matricularam nas respectivas escolas selecionadas para esta pesquisa em 2017; III) Propor um plano de ações mais efetivo de combate ao abandono escolar nas duas escolas deste referido estudo. O texto foi organizado em três capítulos que descrevem esta pesquisa. No capítulo I, contextualizamos o abandono escolar no Ensino Médio no Brasil e no Amazonas. No capítulo II, realizamos a análise dos fatores externos e internos à escola que incidem sobre o abandono escolar, sendo maior relevância a análise dos fatores internos que subsidiou a elaboração do plano de ação para prevenção e redução do abandono nas escolas estudadas. A metodologia de pesquisa escolhida foi a qualitativa, por meio do estudo de caso, no qual foram usados instrumentos de coleta como: a aplicação de questionários aos alunos, entrevista semiestruturadas aos gestores escolares e Coordenador da Redução do Abandono Escolar da CDE 05 e uma pesquisa bibliográfica sobre a temática do abandono escolar no Ensino Médio. E, finalmente, no capítulo III, fazemos a proposição de um plano de ação para a prevenção e redução do abandono escolar nas duas escolas onde foi realizado o estudo de caso. Este trabalho apresenta como fundamentação teórica estudos realizados anteriormente sobre o abandono escolar, em que destacamos: Soares et al (2015), que estudou os “Fatores associados ao abandono escolar no ensino médio público de Minas Gerais”; Castelar (2010), que realizou “Um estudo sobre as causas de abandono escolar nas escolas públicas de Ensino Médio no Estado do Ceará”; Vasconcelos (2013), que pesquisou sobre “Abandono e absenteísmo Escolar no Conselho de Ponta Delgada”; Fritsch e Vitelli (2016), com seus estudos sobre a “Evasão escolar , a escola e o mercado de trabalho: o que dizem jovens do ensino médio de escolas públicas”. A fundamentação teórica desta pesquisa nos demonstrou que vários estudiosos categorizaram os motivos do abandono escolar em 02 grandes grupos: fatores internos e fatores externos à escola. Esta pesquisa se ateve aos fatores internos à escola que incidem sobre o abandono escolar. Dentre esses, o principal motivo destacado é o desinteresse escolar, o que os alunos chamaram de falta de vontade de estudar. / This dissertation was developed within the scope of the Professional Master in Management and Evaluation of Education (PPGP) of the Center for Public Policies and Education Evaluation of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (CAEd / UFJF). The case of management aims to identify the reasons for dropping out in two high schools, one with a higher rate and another with a lower dropout rate. of the District Education Coordination - CDE 05 [Manaus-AM]. As specific objectives, we intend to: I) Check the reasons for dropping out in the four schools with the highest dropout rate of CDE 05, in the view of students, school administrators, as well as the CDE Coordinator of the Reduction of School Dropout - CDE 05. II) To analyze the most frequent reasons for infrequency and dropout among students who dropped out of school in 2016 and who enrolled in the respective schools selected for this research in 2017; III) To propose a more effective action plan to combat school dropout in the two schools of this study. The text was organized in three chapters that describe this research. In chapter I, we contextualize the drop out in high school in Brazil and the Amazon. In chapter II, we analyzed the external and internal factors that affect school drop-out, and the internal factors that contributed to the development of the action plan for prevention and reduction of dropout in the schools studied were more relevant. The research methodology chosen was qualitative, through a case study, in which collection instruments were used, such as: the application of questionnaires to students, a semi-structured interview with school administrators and the CDE 05 Abandonment Reduction Coordinator, and a research bibliography on the subject of school dropout in High School. Finally, in Chapter III, we propose a plan of action for the prevention and reduction of school drop-outs in the two schools where the case study was carried out. This study presents as theoretical foundation previous studies about school dropout, in which we highlight: Soares et al. (2015), who studied the "Factors associated with school dropout in Minas Gerais high school"; Castelar (2010), who conducted "A study on the causes of school dropout in public high schools in the state of Ceará"; Vasconcelos (2013), who researched on "School Abandonment and Absenteeism in the Council of Ponta Delgada"; Fritsch and Vitelli (2016) with their studies on "School Evasion, School and the Job Market: What Do High School Youth Say in Public Schools." The theoretical basis of this research has shown that several scholars have categorized the reasons for school dropout in two large groups: internal factors and factors external to school. This research was based on internal factors that affect school drop-out. Among these, the main reason is school disinterest, which the students called lack of will to study.

The aim of this master's thesis is to demonstrate the relationship between the behaviour and the organisation of a middle- sized village combined primary and lower secondary school and the choices parents make. This study deals with the development of school strategy in dependency of external and internal conditions. The second main topic of the study are the transfer of the pupils to and from the school, the parents' decision behind the transfers and pupils' experiences. The theoretic part explains concept of the school as an organisation and an institution. It is outlined a brief review of the Czech literature on studied topic. The empirical part of the thesis is a qualitative case study of one school based on analysis of municipal dates, school documentation and interviews with school employees, parents and pupils. Seven embedded cases of pupils of the school are described. They are pupils coming out of the catchment area or transferring from other schools. The thesis describes the similarities and differences among the described cases of pupils a draws some lessons for the school leadership.

The thesis describes the role of public relations and communication in the health sector and points at its specifications and differences if compared to the profitable sectors. The thesis analyses the current level of the issue in the Czech Republic, including legal and ethical perspectives of a health institution. The first part of the thesis explains the theory of the public relations and communicaiton sectors and includes a concise description of the health sector. The second part deals with internal, external and crisis communication of individual hospitals and institutions and analyses them through the method of qualitative research. Aside from other aspects, I describe pratical operation of public relations, usage of media communication tools in practice at individual health institutions. In addition to this, target audience, the public and the importance of a good reputation of a hospital have been defined in this part.

The thesis is focused on process of external auditing with emphasis on the use of the work of other professionals. At the beginning it introduces the definition of external audit, historical development of auditing process, its objectives and legislation to the readers. Next item of the thesis is a comparison of the external audit with internal audit and specification of their relationship. The main part of the work is related to auditing process with emphasis on the use of the work of other professionals, which is illustrated on a fictional company called "Tipni si a vyhraj".
