To discuss the current problems would not be possible without a background of the relation that permeates the religious freedom with the emergence of human rights. Thus, matters involving religion blossom bringing with them their problematic and controversies and always drawing a parallel between religion and human rights we will present the relationship between religion with political power and the controversial church-state relationship. In a way that, the separation between Church and Estate will provide the study of our first issue: secularism and laic procedure. Religion has always used artifices to gather new believers and, therefore, we will deepen the study of the religious proselytism and the defense of multiculturalism and of minorities. Finally, we approach the delicate issue of fundamentalism and how religion has contributed negatively to originate terrorism. Moreover, we will also deal with countermeasures adopted by the Human Rights and which is the current relationship between religion and human rights / A questão que envolve os Diretos Humanos e a (in)tolerância religiosa está em plena consonância com o cenário internacional corrente, e exemplos não faltam: A França e a crise do Estado Laico, a Dinamarca e a intolerância islâmica, os conflitos na Palestina e em Israel, o uso do véu na Turquia são apenas alguns casos recentes que suscitam o debate acerca da proteção à liberdade religiosa.

Isabela I. Kastilská / Isabella I. of Castile

Konečná, Lenka January 2014 (has links)
The main objective of this work, was to elaborate on the topic of Isabella I. of Castile. The main focus was an emphasis on historical facts, of which I derived from Czech and foreign literatures and historical compendiums. The first part describes the political and economic situation in the Ibe c y I b ' coronation. Further, I look at her biography with a focus on details that could testify about her character and personality. This section provides the basis and support for the second part of this thesis. Besides the historical books, I explore also studies in the field of psychology. In the second part I deal with the motives which led I b g g z d I' interested in her tendency to her fanatical behavior. The theme of the Spanish inquisition in this work occupies a marginal position. The whole work is written with the need to view Isabel from the most different ways. This is supported by typologies of her personality and her tendency to achieve her goals from her position. In conclusion, I summarize the thesis defense, which I had already set out in the introduction of this thesis. I wanted to defend this theory: "Isabela as the only one in the history of her family, was able to effectively complete the Reconquista. What helped her was - religious fanaticism, coupled with unusually strong internal...

Hledání lidského štěstí ve Voltairových povídkách / Search of happiness in Voltaire's novels

Pokšteflová, Marie January 2011 (has links)
My diploma thesis called Search of happiness in Voltaire's novels aims to analyse the theme of happiness in prose works Micromegas, L'Ingénu, Zadig and Candide. The analysis is preceded by an introduction showing the evolution of the theme of happiness through different historical periods. This theoretical part is also followed by a definition of philosophical novel as a typical Voltaire's way of expressing his philosophical thoughts. The analysis itself underlines common points of view found in the novels which all describe a world full of evil, disasters and misfortune. Good and honest heroes enter into this bad world and they struggle to find their place in the sun. Their nice personalities present a big contrast to the merciless world which surrounds them. The analysed examples from novels highlight major problems in Voltaire's time but a lot of parallels are found in today's world. I systematically pay attention to these parallels throughout the diploma. The analysis leads to the description of incorrigibly bad world, where only small islands of happiness can be found represented by friendship and love. We can only deal with such a life thanks to a meaningful activity which can make it bearable. The philosopher's approach to the theme which still captures people's attention is evaluated in the...

Les Ultras. Sociologie de l'affrontement sportif et urbain / The Ultras. Sociology of sportive and urban confrontation

Ginhoux, Bérangère 31 October 2013 (has links)
This work of research deals with the ultras football fans' engagement. Most of there searches about football fans reach two models of "extreme" sports fanaticism in comparison with the traditional sports fanaticism: the English model (hooligans) and the Italian one with the ultra supporters' groups. The latter are formed in association under the French Law of 1901, which the most active members are predominantly young men between 15 and 30 years old. Their way of supporting is based on a partisan culture and own activities (creation of activities in the whole terraces, resort to songs and specific gestures, use of pyrotechnic devices, organisation of travels, etc.).This research proposes a detailed study of the creation process of the collective that forms the ultra group and its functioning, through the sociology angle of the deviance and the"subculture" notions (codes, rules, language) or the one of the "career" (ranked structure, different status, reputation). Nevertheless, the objective of this work is to go beyond amonographic reading that would just give a study of the internal functioning of the ultragroup. This research falls within an interactionist conception of the deviance which requests an analysis of the deviants' action - the ultras' one - but also the one of the persons who reactto this deviance, in this case, the action of the law enforcement officers or the agents in charge of the stadium security. This work aims to describe and analyse the interactions between the ultras, the "opposing" supporters groups and the security actors (policemen, football stewards, stadium security directors) by favouring an ethnography of situations and a detailed description of the ultras' social practices. By developing " a perspective in terms of social world" (Strauss) we endeavour to comprehend the ultras' show as a collective production, always negotiated and readjusted in relation to the one of the other actors and the public institutions. This viewpoint also enables to work on the way the ultras' social and "cultural"practices are affected notably by the process of the football supporters' criminalisation: the ultra supporters became, in fact, the "stadium delinquents" and police get specialised in the struggle against this sportive and urban phenomenon. The supporters are now kept undersurveillance, identified, filed, and sometimes "stadium banned" or incarcerated. As part of this research, we have followed the evolution of this world forced to fit and to adapt itself to different developments. The purpose of this research is to describe the social processes that go through the ultras' world and causes its segmentation and fragmentation in several "subworlds"(the stadium banned's one, the "independent" supporters' one, etc.). Mobilising the descriptive and analytical tools of the qualitative interactionist sociology, this research aims to extend the discussion with the Culturals Studies, which works have historically fed most ofthe studies about the sports fanaticism. This research rests upon an ethnographic field work driven by participant observation, principally among the ultra supporters from Saint-Etienne - the Green Angels and the Magic fans -, and by semi-structured interviews with ultras and security actors (policemen, stewards, etc.) in France and abroad. It is also based on the analysis of numerous native documents, press articles and mobilise the photo-ethnography.

Les religions de l'Antiquité classique dans l'œuvre de Voltaire : réception et instrumentalisation / The reception and Instrumentalisation of classical religions in Voltaire’s philosophy

Abrougui, Sarra 12 December 2017 (has links)
This doctoral research proposal investigates The Reception and Instrumentalisation of Classical Religions in Voltaire’s Philosophy. Its aim is to contextualise the critical approach used by Voltaire to attack the negative effects of religion. Other 18th Century writers did not see the merit of ancient religions, nor see them as a worthy ideal, but Voltaire discussed them in order to probe the philosophical questions of his time. He did so deliberately, using them as points of reference and counter examples in his ideological fight against the brazen extremism of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Indeed, the ancient religions are Voltaire’s main argument in his polemical struggle against the false notions and corrupting effects of the monotheistic religions. Should Voltaire’s references to the Greek and Roman religions be situated in the cultural context of the 18th Century? Given the Enlightenment’s polemic philosophy and the triumph of the new spirit of rationality over ancient superstition, this may prove fruitful. Although his approach is to compare and critique the religions of Classical Antiquity, Voltaire seeks to put the universal pretensions of contemporary Christianity into perspective.

Postoj římskokatolické církve k islámskému extremismu / The position of the Roman Catholic Church to Islamic extremism

Mazáč, Milan January 2017 (has links)
The position of the Roman Catholic Church to Islamic extremism Abstract The present thesis deals with the attitude of the Pope, those spiritual state performing the function in individual institutions of the Holy See, theologians and a selected group of people from the Czech general public Roman Catholic Church to religious extremism, focusing on the ultimate form of extremism - terrorism - of individuals or groups espousing to Islam.
