Pohlavní rozdíly ve výskytu, realizaci a obsahu sexuálních fantasií / Sexual Differences in Presence, Realization and Content of Sexual Fantasies

Binter, Jakub January 2012 (has links)
Large number of researches proven sexual differences in frequency and content of sexual fantasies (SF) in men and women. Results of the recent studies consent on fact that male SF are more frequent, and there are more types of SF compared to female SF. Study that we propose is one of the first to investigate repertoire gaining in both sexes based on different presumptions for each. Among mechanisms we will test are: higher frequency of masturbation among man which gives more space to form larger repertoire, selective attention to external erotic stimuli related to different evolutionary-biological relevance in men and women and gaining the content of SF trough realization of activity that SF later represents. Also we present factor analysis of SF content. Significant difference was found in number of SF in man and woman in absolute number of different types of SF related to objects (F=10,06, p= 0,002) but not activities. Largest impact on amount of SF related to objects was found in age when person had most orgasms - negatively (r = -0,347, p = 0,003), amount of orgasms in that age per week(r = 0,930, p = 0,011), frequency of masturbation (r = 0,776, p = 0,030) and erotica exposure (r = 0,353,p = 0,001). When GLM was aplicated on previously tested affects sex of participant was not significant...

Att göra fantasy av verklighet : Spelares motivation för långsiktigt engagemang inom Allsvenskan Fantasy / Making fantasy out of reality : Motives for longterm engagement in Allsvenskan Fantasy

Carrigan, Carina, Järvinen, Markus January 2021 (has links)
The game Allsvenskan Fantasy is researched to investigate how players are motivated and uphold their motivation over time. The study makes use of the Motivational Technology Model which is based upon Uses and Gratifications Theory and Self-Determination Theory. Ten semi-structured interviews are conducted with the aim to identify how players are motivated to play Allsvenskan Fantasy. A thematic analysis is applied to the data from the interviews and six themes are identified:  -  The game is played outside of the game -  The player becomes an actor, receives agency by using their knowledge -  Social interaction enhances the game experience -  Reality gives an extra level of the game -  The game is adaptable -  The players are self-propelled but need each other  These six themes are discussed by using the theoretical framework with focus on the affordances of the game and the basic psychological needs for intrinsic motivation among the players.

Fantasy, Science Fiction & Skräck : Tre populärlitterära genrers ställning på två svenska folkbibliotek / Fantasy, Science Fiction & Skräck : Tre populärlitterära genrers ställning på två svenska folkbibliotek

Johansson, Catherine January 2019 (has links)
Popular fiction have met with an abundance of criticism troughout history. Then around the twentieth century events had the libraries forced to reevaluate their identities. Fantasy, science fiction and horror are all examples of popular fiction. There-fore this thesis aims to show what position the genres holds at two swedish public libraries – library A and B. For this pupose the paper will focus on the genres availability towards the users. Availability has been reduced into four functions – acqusition, placement, display and exhibition. Furthermore the pa-per uses modifications of Elzingas traditionalistic, pragmatic and emancipa-torial strategies. This as a way to try to explain the reasons behind the current availability of the genres. The research questions are: How has library A and library B choosen to make fantasy, science fiction and horrorlitterature avai-lable in the library? What are the reasons behind the choosen form of availa-bility? Observations and qualitative interviews has been performed at respective lib-rary. The result concludes that horror was not broken out as its own genre. Ho-wever fantasy and science fiction was and where placed together. A lot of the librarians work seemded to stem from a desire to simplify for the user. In con-clusion the pragmatic strategy comes out as the dominent one. However all three strategies can be distinguished. The conclusion made is that the horrorgenre did not have a very good position in the libraries. Science fiction had a somewhat good position but much in adherence to fantasy which had a very good position.

Det lilla bageriet i Mordor? : En kvantitativ kartläggning av folkbibliotekariers genrekunskap om fantasy / The little bakery in Mordor? : A quantitative survey of public librarians' genre knowledge of fantasy

Funke, Linnea, Katby, Sandra January 2021 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to conduct a quantitative overview of public librarians' genre knowledge of fantasy and examine how the genre is presented and linked to literature mediation activities. The fantasy genre is somewhat undefined and previous studies show that there is no common or accepted definition of the genre fantasy. Depending on a librarians' knowledge of the genre, the genre's location and exposure in the library are greatly affected. This study is based on the following questions: How do the librarians' genre knowledge affect literature mediating activities at the library and how is the genre presented in the library? What characteristics and distinctive features do public librarians in Västra Götaland County associate with the genre of fantasy? An online survey was conducted with 90 librarians. The analysis of the answers recorded from the survey is based on theories about literature mediation and genre knowledge. Our results show that librarians have a general knowledge of fantasy based on their answers concerning what characterizes the genre through distinctive features and elements. In our analysis, we conclude that genres can "borrow" each other's attributes, elements and features without a book or other media necessarily being classified as a particular genre. It was also concluded that the librarians based on their genre knowledge can implement fantasy elements in their literature and reading promotion activities.

La fabrique du discontinu dans l'oeuvre romanesque des Goncourt (1851-1870) / The manufacture of the discontinuous in the romanesque work of Goncourt (1851-1870)

Jouini, Hind 18 December 2018 (has links)
The fashioning of the discontinuous takes various forms in the novels of Goncourt. It results from the construction of two brothers who have a particular interest in rare objects and details. In a bid to be modern, writers constantly criticize the idealist novel as a used form and show a preference for the whimsical model. In their attempt to "kill the romance", the authors of En 18 ..make the novel a space of freedom where they do not hesitate to break the linearity of the story, to break up the narrative material into small chapters, and to give the reader a terse text that solicits his collaboration. Consisting of several fragments of the Journal, the novel Goncourt becomes the reservoir of firsthand texts. The genesis of the work, thus, contributes to the creation of discontinuity and generates a great discursive and generic diversity that will become the source of the modernity of the Goncourt novels.

Milani, Paula Renata. January 2019 (has links)
Abstract: The purpose of this research is to analyze Harry Potter saga fanfictions in all its specificities ─ format, definitions, characteristics, posting and audience. The latter, in turn, is a unique audience and very present in our research objective: the fan. Considering the technological evolution that our current society has gone through, new literary genres have been developed and gained more space on the internet. One of the reasons for this to occur is also the significant increase of mass culture, a term defined by Kellner (2001), and big best sellers releases that accumulate a legion of followers, such as Harry Potter, leader of the fanfictions accessed on the website used as a source for this research. Among more than 800,000 Harry Potter fanfictions that we had access to, we selected five, all of them belonging to the specific alternative universe classification, whose definition is a rereading and/or adaptation of the original work to a new context, destiny or personality of the characters, thus, distancing itself from what it was established in the original text. The question that moves this research is: since the fan of the original Harry Potter work was attracted to the series, especially considering the existence of literary tools, such as narrator modality and verisimilitude, used to create a reality parallel to our reality and to convince its readers to accept it without question, what keeps readers interested and assiduously following the texts of alternative ... / Mestre
