När Covid-19 pandemin förlamade Sverige infördes vaccinationsbevis för större folksamlingar med syftet att motarbeta spridningen av sjukdomen och skydda utsatta grupper utan att införa striktare restriktioner. I respons till införandet gick ärkebiskopen Antje Jackelén ut i media och argumenterade för att dessa vaccinationsbevis inskränkte på religionsfriheten. Resonemanget baserades på att vaccinationsbevisen skulle exkludera en viss grupp av människor från att delta i gudstjänster. Den här uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka detta uttalande. Studiens huvudfrågeställning blir därmed följande: Strider införandet av vaccinationsbevis mot religionsfriheten? Denna frågeställning kompletteras av sex analysfrågor. Materialet består av en tidningsartikel med ärkebiskopens uttalande och resonemang, samt två filosofiska texter av Robert Audi och Martha C. Nussbaum där två tolkningar av religionsfriheten presenteras. Detta material undersökts sedan genom en argumentationsanalys och en innehållslig idéanalys. Studien har kopplingar till tidigare forskning i valet av ämne. Valet av material motiveras med resonemanget att det krävs olika perspektiv för att nå en relevant slutsats på studiens frågeställning. Jackeléns uttalande utgör det första perspektivet, medan Audis och Nussbaums förståelse av begreppet religionsfrihet utgör det andra och tredje perspektivet. Studien ämnar ge svar på dess tes genom två olika metoder. Den första metoden prövar beviskraften hos Jackeléns resonemang för att avgöra om ärkebiskopens uttalande grundas på starka argument. Den andra metoden undersöker Audi och Nussbaums förståelse av religionsfrihet för att avgöra om det finns stöd för Jackeléns uttalande i filosofiska tolkningar av religionsfriheten.

This thesis explores the concept of timbre through the lens of analytic philosophical aesthetics and philosophy of music. I argue that timbre should be thought of as providing the grounds for artistic and aesthetic values in music. To this end and firstly, I critique the physical sense of timbre in favour of two anti-realist senses of timbre. These two are the qualitative and the semantic senses which are developed from two of Siedenburg and McAdams’ four senses of timbre (Siedenburg &amp; McAdams, 2017). I argue that the qualitative sense of timbre is the experience of the unique qualities of sounds. The semantic sense is that which associates timbres to objects and concepts. Within the semantic sense, I argue for what I call a genealogical sense of timbre which relates timbres to sources and concepts through a history of built up associations. Secondly, these two senses are situated within the artform of music by demonstrating the functions they may fulfil there and how these ground artistic and aesthetic values. Regarding these values, I employ Robert Stecker’s definitions of artistic and aesthetic value. This essay is investigating parents' obligations and rights concerning their children. Questions that the essay is discussing are why parents have obligations to their children and what kind of obligations parents have. Another question that the essay is discussing is whether parents have parental rights. In the essay, I will present three theories that have different views on the subject. The theories are the biology theory, the causal theory and constructionism. Both the biology theory and the causal theory will be rejected, since they don’t give satisfactory arguments to the questions. Constructionism will be defended as the theory that can give the most satisfactory answer to my questions both about parental obligations and parental rights. The conclusion of this essay is that constructionism can answer the questions about obligations and rights. The causal theory and constructionism have similarities, which is also a conclusion of the essay. Therefore, the causal theory also has reasonable thoughts about the issue, especially when it comes to answering the question about parental rights. / Den här uppsatsen kommer undersöka föräldrars skyldigheter och rättigheter i förhållande till sina barn. Uppsatsens frågeställningar är varför föräldrar har skyldigheter till sina barn och vad för typer av skyldigheter föräldrarna har. Ytterligare en frågeställning är om föräldrar innehar rättigheter i förhållande till sina barn. Uppsatsen utgår från tre teorier som har olika syn på området. Teorierna är biologiteorin, kausalteorin och konstruktionsteorin. Jag kommer argumentera mot biologiteorin och kausalteorin då deras argument inte håller för att förklara varför föräldrar har skyldigheter. Konstruktionsteorin kommer att försvaras då teorin har mest tillfredsställande svar till frågeställningarna, både om föräldrars skyldigheter och föräldrars rättigheter. Uppsatsens slutsats är att konstruktionsteorin kan svara på frågan om föräldrars skyldigheter och rättigheter. En annan slutsats är att konstruktionsteorin och kausalteorin har vissa likheter. Det gör att även kausalteorin har vissa rimliga ståndpunkter kring frågeställningen, i synnerhet när det kommer till att besvara frågan om föräldrars rättigheter i förhållande till sina barn.

In this essay I examine if naturalism can be a reasonable worldview to embrace for well-informed and reflective people. The rationality of naturalism will be concentrated on whether a naturalistic ontology, that holds that the ultimate reality is impersonal and material, can incorporate our self-conception as rational, free, meaning-creating and evaluative creatures. One objection against naturalism is that a materialistic worldview that holds that reality primarily - and for some exclusively - consist of mindless, meaningless, unfree, and non-rational brute physical facts, is uncapable of grounding or incorporating our self-conception as mentioned above. To redeem naturalism from this problem it would have to postulate the existence of subjects in addition to physical entities. I will therefore examine the possibility whether it is possible for a naturalistic position to incorporate the existence of mind or mental phenomena in their ontology. The challenge with incorporating mental phenomena in naturalism is that naturalists give high priority to material objects in their ontology, they also tend to treat science as the most important source of knowledge that we have. This is a challenge because we cannot locate subjects in objects, nor can we verify subjects with science.

<p>In this essay a social perspective on the mind is explored and argued for. The essay moves from a discussion of a social collective foundation for the individual mind to a discussion ofthe main alternative ways of describing the shared social world, namely an action-centred perspective and a power-centred perspective. It is shown that these two perspectives are combinable. A combination of the two perspectives is therefore recommended for a more balanced way of describing the shared social world. In this essay it is argued for that the individuals’ mind and her identity is dependent on the surrounding community. The identity and habits that the individual acquires is dependent of the individuals’ membership in certain groups within a community and the dominant ways of looking at the world that exist within that community. However, the existing power relations and the dominant ways of looking at the world are in turn dependent on the collective action of individuals for their existence. Relations and customs can be changed and power can be transferred to non-dominant ways of looking at the world. Such change requires collective action to take place.</p>

<p>I den här uppsatsen diskuteras begreppet paternalism så som det används av Danny Scoccia och Joel Feinberg. Särskilt fokus ligger vid hur man bör definiera mjuk och hård paternalism. Begreppen är viktiga då de är centrala om man vill diskutera kopplingen mellan moral och politik. I denna uppsats är huvudfokus på de moraliska begränsningarna av vad man bör stifta lagar om men det uppstår oundvikligen paralleller till moraliska överväganden av mer privat karaktär. Även om uppsatsen inte lägger fram några argument som slutgiltigt avgör diskussionen bemöts ett antal argument mot Feinbergs teori och stark kritik framförs mot det av Scoccia föreslagna alternativet till definitioner.</p>
