The Quest for Online Presence : A qualitative efficiency analysis of SEO vs Google Ads Search

Brännström, Martin, Hellsten, Isabelle January 2024 (has links)
This study investigates the effects of the digital marketing channels Search engine optimization (SEO) and SEM, focusing on Google Ads, in the context of the consumer decision funnel in the Swedish market. This was done through a single-case study with a medium-sized digital marketing bureau in Sweden. Our research was summarized in a conceptual framework that aims to create a foundational understanding of best practices and strategies for companies to establish a robust and profitable online presence. The research shows that SEO and SEM has different main focuses within the digital marketing landscape where SEO has a more holistic approach and covers areas further up in the consumer funnel, and SEM operated more targeted with a high focus on measurable conversions. However, our research also finds how the respective channels both have the capacity to be used in all parts of the funnel. Concepts such as budget, strategy, timeline, and consumer behavior are key concepts within our research. The research highlights the importance of tailoring a digital marketing strategy to a company’s specific goals and circumstances. This research takes such aspects into consideration, and strategies depending on budget constraints and company size are explored separately. This paper thus provides marketers with a foundational understanding of how to approach digital marketing, and how to best tailor a digital marketing strategy to align with company goals. Effectively combining SEO and SEM creates a great opportunity for companies to establish a good online presence, which in today's society serves as a very effective media to reach out to consumers.

"Pectus excavatum: avaliação comparativa das técnicas operatórias de Robicsek e Nuss" / Pectus excavatum : comparative evaluation of Robicsek and Nuss surgical techniques

Brigato, Rodrigo Ribeiro 14 June 2006 (has links)
Nuss pode obter melhor forma torácica / Pectus excavatum (PEX) is a depression of the sternum in relation to the costal cartilages. Psychological disorders and exercise intolerance are current clinical abnormalities detectables. Surgical correction of PEX has gained a new momentum since the introduction of the new minimally invasive repair by Nuss. The present study aims to compare the results of Robicsek (conventional) versus Nuss (minimally invasive) technique. Two groups of patients were studied at our Service: a) 40 patients with normal thoracic box configuration; b) 40 patients with PEX. The latter were operated according to the Robicsek (20 pacients) or Nuss technique (20 patients). Both techniques manage to successful postoperative results, but Haller index and clinical measures suggest that results are significant differents. Nuss technique may obtain the best thoracic shape

Antecedents of Sales Lead Performance: Improving Conversion Yield and Cycle Time in a Business-to-Business Opportunity Pipeline

Bradford, William R 01 May 2016 (has links)
Identifying new potential customers and developing opportunities until converted to sales is a critical function of a sales organization. In most industrial business contexts, opportunities are monitored within a sales pipeline or funnel, to track the status and progress from the initial stage until the sale is completed, often using sales force automation tools, such as customer relationship management (CRM) systems to manage the process. While much is written about the adoption, usage, and failures of CRM, little empirical research exists to fully examine the levers to improve the conversion performance of sales leads, particularly in a business-to-business (B2B) industrial context. The research based view (RBV) of the firm suggests that competitive advantage is gained from a company’s distinct resources, and that in technology and other fast-paced markets, success is further determined by fast adaptation, in what is know as dynamic capability theory. This research examined certain key sales capabilities, within the high technology industrial B2B sector, to understand the impact of sales effort, sales ability and lead source, on sales lead conversion yield and cycle time. By studying the extensive CRM data base of a large semiconductor company, along with various human resource records, a quantitative study was performed to address this research, while providing useful value to sales managers seeking to improve the lead conversion performance of their organizations. Sales effort, as measured by number of sales calls made per week, and percent of time spent on selling activities was shown to modestly accelerate sales cycle times, but have no effect on the percentage of opportunities that result in wins. Sales ability, measured by annual performance ratings, prior year quota attainment and years of experience showed no effect on cycle time, nor win percentage. The most notable contribution of this research is the illumination of sales effort effects on cycle time, as previous studies of sales cycle time influences have been inconclusive. Against the backdrop of a general lengthening of industrial sales cycle times, understanding that salesperson effort can reduce the time that it takes to win an opportunity can drive meaningful improvements in salesforce efficiency and productivity.

Sídelní struktura areálu kultury nálevkovitých pohárů na polykulturním sídlišti ve Velkých Přílepech / Residential structure of the area of a Funnel beaker culture at multiculture settlement at Velké Přílepy.

Juřinová, Šárka January 2015 (has links)
in English The submitted thesis adresses the processing of material culture from the archaeological excavation in Velké Přílepy (district of Prague-west), where the settlement of Funnel Beaker culture was uncovered. The study is a sequel to my bacheolor's thesis (defended in 2010) which evaluated only one part of the excavated settlement and significantly improves its corpus of finds. Therefore there is now a complete analysis of the whole widespread settlement area in an open position without any fortification. Close to sixty structures were documented and dated (based on ceramic analysis) to the Siřem and Salzmündphase of Funnel Beaker culture on this researched area. Thanks to the excavation, an exceptionally rich collection of ceramic production from the Early Eneolithic period (10 105 pieces altogether) exists. Other settlements belonging to the Funnel Beaker culture in the vicinity of Velké Přílepy are also considered in this thesis. Together with this settlement, they create a unique area of settlements of the aforementioned culture.

Invandrade invandrarkritiker? : Orsakerna till stödet för Sverigedemokraterna bland sympatisörer med utländsk bakgrund

Lundkvist, Adrian January 2018 (has links)
This bachelor’s thesis examines the causes behind the support of radical right and anti-immigration parties by those with a non-native background. Building on findings of previous research and the funnel of causality, a set of variables consisting of anti-immigration views and socio-economic factors are examined to determine their causal effect on the support for the Sweden Democrats among the non-native swedish population. Utilising data from Syd-SOM 2015 and Väst-SOM 2015, no support were found for the hypothesis that those with a non-native background support the Sweden Democrats on the basis of socio-economic factors. Support were found however for the hypothesis that anti-immigration views among non-natives are an important cause for their support of the Sweden Democrats.

Advancement and optimization of an electrospray injection based in-vacuum patterning system for macromolecular materials

Stark, Andreas 20 May 2008 (has links)
Electrospray ionization is a technique widely used in mass spectrometry. Almost every material, specifically large molecules like proteins or polymers can be ionized directly out of solution. During the ionization process molecules are not fragmented. In this work a prototype apparatus for creating three-dimensional patterns in a ultra high vacuum environment using an electrospray ion source was optimized for higher ion currents hence deposition rate by improving the core component of the apparatus, an electrodynamic ion funnel. The major improvements are a redesigned heated vacuum inlet, modified gas flow inside the ion funnel because of sealing the ion funnel against perpendicular gas flow and a better measurement setup for the transmitted current. The transmission of the ion funnel was improved from 25% to 82% resulting in ion currents of up to 7nA (500pA before advancements) focused through the ion funnel. At this rate an area of 1 cm² can be coated with a molecular monolayer of Cytochrome C in 64 minutes.

Detecting publication bias in random effects meta-analysis: An empirical comparison of statistical methods

Rendina-Gobioff, Gianna 01 June 2006 (has links)
Publication bias is one threat to validity that researchers conducting meta-analysis studies confront. Two primary goals of this research were to examine the degree to which publication bias impacts the results of a random effects meta-analysis and to investigate the performance of five statistical methods for detecting publication bias in random effects meta-analysis. Specifically, the difference between the population effect size and the estimated meta-analysis effect size, as well as the difference between the population effect size variance and the meta-analysis effect size variance, provided an indication of the impact of publication bias. In addition, the performance of five statistical methods for detecting publication bias (Begg Rank Correlation with sample size, Begg Rank Correlation with variance, Egger Regression, Funnel Plot Regression, and Trim and Fill) were estimated with Type I error rates and statistical power. The overall findings indicate that publication bias notably impacts the meta-analysis effect size and variance estimates. Poor FTSe I error control was exhibited in many conditions by most of the statistical methods. Even when Type I error rates were adequate the power was small, even with larger samples and greater numbers of studies in the meta-analysis.
