Embora recifes de coral sejam hotspots de biodiversidade para corais e peixes, não se sabe se são para pequenos invertebrados marinhos. Este estudo visou verificar se o complexo recifal Sebastião Gomes é um hotspot de biodiversidade de poliquetas, bem como caracterizar a comunidade estrutural e funcional desses organismos que habitam o sedimento ao redor do recife. Através de modelos lineares generalizados (glm), tendo como variáveis preditoras características do sedimento e/ou posicionamento das estações de coleta ao redor do recife (transectos perpendiculares às faces sul, oeste, norte e leste), buscou-se compreender os padrões de: diversidade alfa; abundância total de poliquetas; abundância das espécies mais representativas; e abundância dos diferentes hábitos tróficos. Foram coletados 2399 indivíduos identificados em 116 espécies, indicando que Sebastião Gomes pode ser um hotspot. Todos descritores da comunidade foram maiores próximos ao recife, onde predominaram sedimentos grossos e carbonáticos. Já a posição ao redor do recife foi importante apenas para alguns descritores, tais como abundância total e dos hábitos tróficos carnívoros e detritívoros, todos maiores nos transectos norte e leste, expostos aos ventos. A abundância de poliquetas foi mais baixa em todo transecto sul, mais suscetível à ressuspensão de sedimento causada pelas frentes frias que atingem essa região / Although coral reefs are biodiversity hotspots for corals and fishes, it is not known whether they are also for small marine invertebrates. The present study aimed to verify if Sebastião Gomes reef complex is a polychaete biodiversity hotspot, as well to describe the structural and functional community of these organisms which inhabit sediments around the reef. Generalized linear models (glm) with sediment features and station position around the reef (perpendicular transects to the South, West, East and North faces) as predictor variables were used to understand the patterns of: alpha diversity; total polychaete abundance; most representative species abundance; and abundance of different trophic habits. 2399 individuals identified in 116 species were collected, indicating that Sebastião Gomes may be a hotspot. All community descriptors were higher near the reef, where coarse and carbonate sediments preponderate. However, the position around the reef was important only for some descriptors, such as total abundance and abundance of carnivorous and deposit feeders. All of them higher in the North and East transects, that are exposed to wind. The polychaete abundance was lower in the whole South transect, nevertheless it is more susceptible to sediment resuspension caused by cold fronts that reach the region

Inserido na linha de pesquisa que se dispõe a examinar os processos discursivos (estruturas retóricas e tópicas) da música religiosa no período colonial, desenvolvida pelo Laboratório de Musicologia do Departamento de Música da FFCLRP, sob a coordenação do Prof. Dr. Diósnio Machado Neto, e como consequência natural de minhas atividades acadêmicas, das quais, em 2008, sob os auspícios da Pró Reitoria de Graduação da Universidade de São Paulo, realizei Iniciação Científica sob o título: \"Retórica Musical na Obra de André da Silva Gomes\", este trabalho visa contribuir com o conjunto de pesquisas que tratam de estudos recentes acerca da retórica musical, inserida no campo da musicologia e análise, dando continuidade às pesquisas já realizadas, procurando, entretanto, aprofundar e solidificar as teorias sobre o uso da retórica na obra do compositor luso-brasileiro através de uma maior sistematização analítica em sua obra. Para tanto, buscar-se-á observar modus operandi de Silva Gomes acerca da relação Música e Sintaxe em sua obra através do esquadrinhamento de figuras e elementos discursivos relacionados entre texto e música, na obra do quarto Mestre de Capela da Sé de São Paulo. O corpus deste trabalho é constituído pela obra sacra do compositor, sobretudo os seus Ofertórios, que se insere dentro de da linha de pesquisa desenvolvida pelo LAMUS - DM/FFCLRP, sob a coordenação do Prof. Dr. Diósnio Machado Neto. Além disso, serão consultados tratados e artigos sobre o período em questão, bem como novos referenciais teóricos, fundamentados na cognição musical, teoria das tópicas, dentro outras, no sentido de aprofundar nas teorias acerca da retórica musical do compositor luso-brasileiro. / Inserted into the line of research that is willing to examine the discursive processes (rhetorical and topical structures) of religious music in the colonial period, developed by Musicology Laboratory of the Department of Music (LAMSU- DM/FFCLRP), under the direction of Prof. Dr. Diósnio Machado Neto, and as a natural consequence of my academic activities, which, in 2008, under the auspices of Pro Dean of Graduate University of São Paulo, accomplished Scientific Initiation under the title, \"Musical Rhetoric in Andrew\'s Society of Silva Gomes \", this work aims to contribute to the body of research dealing with recent studies of musical rhetoric, inserted in musicology and analysis, continuing the research already carried out, looking for, however, deepen and solidify theories about the use the rhetoric in the work of the Luso-Brazilian composer through greater analytical systematic in his work. To this end, we will seek to observe modus operandi of Silva Gomes on the relationship Music and syntax in their work by scrutinizing figures and discursive elements related between text and music in the work of the Master bedroom Chapel of the Cathedral of São Paulo. The corpus of this work is constituted by the sacred work of the composer, especially their Offertories, which falls within the line of research developed by LAMUS - DM / FFCLRP, under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Diósnio Machado Neto. There will also be consulted treaties and articles on the period in question as well as new theoretical framework, based on music cognition, theory of point, in others, to deepen the theories of musical rhetoric of the Luso-Brazilian composer.

Este projeto de pesquisa tem como objetivo realizar um estudo comparado entre o livro Amar, verbo intransitivo, de Mário de Andrade e os roteiros jamais filmados ou publicados que o professor, roteirista e crítico de cinema Paulo Emilio Salles Gomes fez a partir do livro. A proposta da dissertação é comparar roteiros e livro, tendo como base um estudo da problemática da focalização, de modo que se busque um sentido para o conjunto de diferenças verificadas na passagem do livro aos roteiros. É central, neste projeto, tentar entender a que tipo de leitura do romance as modificações promovidas pelos roteiros servem, sobretudo no que diz respeito à construção da voz narrativa. Com isso, esperamos contribuir para os estudos da obra de Paulo Emilio Salles Gomes, bem como esmiuçar a específica leitura que os roteiros fazem do texto (e do contexto) de Mário de Andrade. / The aim of this work is to analyze the screenplays written by film critic Paulo Emilio Salles Gomes which were based on the book Fräulein, by Mário de Andrade (New York: The Macaulay Company, 1933). These screenplays were never published nor made into film. This thesis compares both the screenplays and the book, and it is based on the The Theory of Point of View in fiction. In addition, the objective is to find meaning in the differences between the book and screenplays. This will enable us to understand how these changes can offer an alternate interpretation of Andrade\'s book.

In the State of São Paulo, where the research was performed, there are many controversies, criticizing mainly the existence of this institution and its consequences on such an individualist society. By the advent of modernity, the relations are more fluid, there is the pluralism, and following, meaning crisis at which new responses are sought even in old institutions such as religion. Just as São Paulo State s Police (Polícia Militar), religion is questioned as an institution and we witness this mainly through syncretism, responses to social situations regarding religiosity and socio-cultural processes. At the Romão Gomes Military Police Prison, syncretism is evident once there are many religious manifestations and many inmates attend various cults which are not necessarily from the same religion. Due to this possibility and due to the fact that religion is part of the identity policy of the place, this research s objective was to comprehend the importance and sense given to religion by many inmates. From theoretical discussions, participation in cults and narratives of the inmate s life stories, it was revealed that there is metamorphosis and emancipation possibilities, which do not occur automatically, but in the process of sense creation and submission to religion / Em tempos em que a violência é cada vez maior nos centros urbanos e a Polícia Militar, instituição agenciadora da violência pelo Estado, está cada vez mais em pauta, seja por sua violência, pela violência sofrida através dos ataques de facções criminosas ou por discussões sobre seu funcionamento e surgimento, é importante notar e questionar a existência de um presídio próprio para seus integrantes. A presente dissertação de mestrado tem como objeto de pesquisa duas obras sinfônicas com solistas, as Duas Sinfonias Concertantes de Manoel Jozé Gomes, ou seja, a Sinfonia Concertante [para dois violinos e orquestra em Si bemol maior] e a Sinfonia Concertante [para dois violinos solistas e orquestra em Re maior], ambas atribuídas aqui a Manuel José Gomes (1792-1868), mestre-de-capela da Matriz de São Carlos (posteriormente Campinas), cujos manuscritos, provavelmente autógrafos, estão depositados no Centro de Ciências, Letras e Artes de Campinas, entidade mantenedora do Museu Carlos Gomes. Para viabilização de uma primeira perspectiva de compreensão poético-estilística das duas Sinfonias Concertantes esta dissertação contém também a primeira edição completa das duas obras. / This dissertation has as its main research objective two symphonic works with soloists, the Two Sinfonias Concertantes by Manoel Jozé Gomes. The first one, the Sinfonia Concertante [ for two soloist violins and orchestra in B flat major] and the second, the Sinfonia Concertante [ for two soloist violins and orchestra in E flat major], both here atributed to Manuel José Gomes (1792-1868), kappellmeister of the São Carlos Mother Church ( later denominated Campinas).The symphoniess manuscripts, probably original autographs, are deposited at the Arts, Ciences and Litterature Center of Campinas, wich supports the Carlos Gomes Museum. To support the viability of the first perspective of understanding the poetry and style of those Two Sinfonias Concertantes, this dissertation also contains the first complete full score edition of the two orchestral works.

O tratado de contraponto, Arte Explicada de Contraponto, do lisboeta André da Silva Gomes, destaca-se na produção teórico-musical brasileira como uma obra que articula o ensino musical europeu, especialmente o português, com aquele praticado no Brasil durante o período colonial. Seu autor, quarto mestre-de-capela da Sé de São Paulo desde 1774, certamente apropriou-se dos principais modelos pedagógicos em voga na segunda metade do século XVIII, em Portugal. A única cópia encontrada de seu tratado recebeu estudos que contribuíram para a divulgação e explicação da maior parte dos preceitos dessa obra, demonstrando seu possível alcance, adquirido ao longo do século XIX. Apesar disso, a questão sobre sua recepção teórica manteve-se aberta, contendo problemas referentes aos modelos teóricos que pudessem ser verificados na obra. O objetivo geral deste trabalho é primeiro, realizar uma consolidação bibliográfica a respeito do ensino teórico-musical em Portugal ao longo dos séculos XVII e XVIII, por um lado, e, vasculhar o caminho teórico encontrado nos tratados musicais europeus que versassem, de modo explícito, sobre as regras de contraponto e as regras do acompanhamento, a fim de se verificar quais desses modelos poderiam ser identificados na obra de Silva Gomes. Como metodologia e, também, delineamento da amplitude do trabalho, elencamos os principais tratados portugueses que se encaixam em uma dessas duas categorias mencionadas, complementados oportunamente por autores espanhóis e italianos, em sua maioria. Através de análises comparativas entre os discursos desses tratados e a obra teórica de Silva Gomes, pudemos verificar a manutenção de certos cânones do ensino de música, provenientes da tradição do contraponto, e enxergar novas possibilidades de interpretação do conteúdo da Arte Explicada, através dos manuais de acompanhamento. Estes, por sua vez, sugerem caminhos aos estudos sobre a recepção teórica brasileira, pautados na tradição de ensino napolitana, cujos modelos possuíram livre trânsito entre os compositores e professores portugueses desde o século XVIII / The treatise on counterpoint Arte Explicada de Contraponto, by Lisboan André da Silva Gomes, stands out in Brazilian theoretical writings as a work which articulates European music teaching, especially Portuguese, with that conducted in Brazil during colonial period. Its author, fourth chapel master of São Paulo\'s cathedral, since 1774, certainly absorbed the main pedagogic models of Portugal in the second half of the 18th century. The only copy found of his treatise has been analyzed in few studies, which contributed to the diffusion and offered explanations for most of its precepts, demonstrating its potential range, acquired along the 19th century. However, its theoretical reception was kept open, presenting some problems regarding the possible theoretical models that could be mapped within the work. The general objective of the present work is, at first, to achieve a bibliographic consolidation concerning music theory teaching in Portugal along 17th and 18th centuries, on one hand, and on the other, to scavenge the theoretical path found in European music treatises that discuss explicitly the rules of counterpoint and accompaniment, in order to verify what are the models which could be identified within the work by Silva Gomes. As methodology and also for bounding the reach of the work, we listed the central Portuguese treatises that fit in one of the above categories, further complemented, majorly, by Spanish and Italian authors. Through comparative analyses between the discourses of such treatises and the theoretical work by Silva Gomes, we were able to verify the abiding of certain canons of music teaching, originated from the tradition of counterpoint, and to look into new possibilities of interpreting the content of Arte Explicada through manuals on accompanying. Those, in turn, suggest directions to further studies about Brazilian theoretical reception, rooted in Neapolitan tradition of teaching models, which transited freely among Portuguese composers and music teachers since the 18th century.

The thesis is divided into three parts. Initially, part I highlights the practices of the Ferreira Gomes group and their strategies in the 2006, 2010 and 2014 elections, constituting a new and controversial political cycle. Speaking with the thesis of "coalition presidentialism", part II analyzes the construction of the allied base in the Cid Gomes governments in the Legislative Assembly of the State of Ceará, addressing: the leaders and indicators of the coalition, the budget process and the articulations of the opposition. In part III, the administrative actions of the governments of Cid Gomes, drawing parallels with the political grammars of the Age of Changes and lulism, are discussed: the decision-making nucleus, the government marks, the scandals and the relation with civil society. The group in question gained strength and autonomy during the governments of Cid Gomes, won the support of a broad and heterogeneous allied base, allied with important political leaders, linking to the phenomenon of lulism. This range of alliances began with the articulations for the 2006 elections, gained strength by sharing spaces with allies and bringing new names to the composition of the government, strengthened in 2010 and began to fragment in the 2014 election, signaling the wear and tear of this political cycle. Despite the outbreak of several political scandals, it did not suffer significant pressure from the Legislature and put into action a large and controversial investment program. The methodological course of the research involves the use of conjuncture analysis, interviews, documentary analysis and systematic observation of the Ceará political scenario. It is believed that in following the paths of the power of a political group, the paths and impasses of representative democracy are in fact discussed. / A pesquisa tem como objetivo compreender a política cearense contemporânea, enfatizando as estratégias acionadas pelo governador Cid Ferreira Gomes e seu grupo para construir e manter alianças políticas no estado do Ceará, de 2007 a 2014. A tese divide-se em três partes. Inicialmente, na parte I, destacam-se as práticas do grupo dos Ferreira Gomes e suas estratégias nas eleições de 2006, 2010 e 2014, constituindo um novo e controverso ciclo político. Dialogando com a tese do “presidencialismo de coalizão”, na parte II, analisa-se a construção da base aliada dos governos Cid Gomes na Assembleia Legislativa do Estado do Ceará, abordando: os líderes e indicadores da coalizão, o processo orçamentário e as articulações da oposição. Na parte III, são discutidas as ações administrativas dos governos Cid Gomes, traçando paralelos com as gramáticas políticas da Era das Mudanças e do lulismo e apresentando o núcleo decisório, as marcas de governo, os escândalos e a relação com a sociedade civil. O grupo em questão ganhou força e autonomia durante os governos de Cid Gomes, conquistou o apoio de uma ampla e heterogênea base aliada, aliou-se a importantes lideranças políticas, ligando-se ao fenômeno do lulismo. Esse leque de alianças teve início com as articulações para as eleições de 2006, ganhou força ao compartilhar espaços com os aliados e trazer novos nomes para a composição do governo, fortaleceu-se em 2010 e começou a se fragmentar no pleito de 2014, sinalizando o desgaste desse ciclo político. Apesar da eclosão de vários escândalos políticos, não sofreu pressões significativas por parte do Legislativo e colocou em ação um grande e polêmico programa de investimentos. O percurso metodológico da pesquisa envolve a utilização da análise de conjuntura, entrevistas, análise documental e observação sistemática do cenário político cearense. Acredita-se que, ao seguir os caminhos do poder de um grupo político, discute-se, na verdade, os percursos e impasses da democracia representativa.

\"Ask me to send these photos to you\" tem como foco principal a produção fotográfica realizada por Alair Gomes durante as décadas de 1970 e 1980 nos Estados Unidos (EUA). As análises abarcam o ensaio The Balcony (a photo portfolio), publicado na revista Performance, em 1971; a participação no livro de artista Artists Almanac, em 1975; o ensaio Carnival in Rio: a photo essay, que fez parte de Gay Sunshine - Journal of Gay Liberation em 1979 e, finalmente, as suas fotografias que estiveram presentes nas revistas The Advocate, em 1983 e em Advocate MEN, em 1987. O conjunto dos cinco trabalhos obteve uma circulação pública efetiva tanto no meio das artes quanto no de uma homossociabilidade norte-americana. Ele apresenta uma série de elementos formais e estruturais que caracterizam esta produção de Alair Gomes, como a sequencialidade de múltiplas imagens fotográficas e o suporte impresso como espaço de produção do trabalho de arte. A proposta foi a de realizar uma leitura sobre a produção de Alair Gomes que amplie o relação estabelecida entre a sua fotografia e o homoerotismo, destacando a aproximação do fotógrafo de agentes e instituições dos campos científico, universitário e cultural, tanto carioca quanto norte-americano. Essa multiplicidade de pontos de contato elemento-chave da nossa proposta de análise, pois incidiu sobre os caminhos artísticos de sua produção fotográfica. / \"Ask me to send these photos to you\" is mainly focused on the photographic work of Alair Gomes during the 1970s and 1980s in the United States (US). The analyses include the essay The Balcony (the photo portfolio), published in magazine Performance in 1971; a participation in artist\'s book Artists Almanac in 1975; the essay Carnival in Rio: a photo essay which was part of Gay Sunshine - Journal of Gay Liberation in 1979 and finally his photos that were shown in the magazine The Advocate in 1983 and Advocate MEN in 1987. The five papers obtained an effective public circulation both in the form of art as well as in the circulation within the American homosociability. It features a series of formal and structural elements that characterize the work of Alair Gomes, like the sequential and multiple photographic images and print media as the space for producing the artwork. Our proposition was to perform a new reading of the work of Alair Gomes to broaden the relationship established between his photographs and the homoeroticism, highlighting his approximation to agents and institutions within the scientific, academic and cultural fields in Rio and the US. This multiplicity of contacts between these key points is the object of our analysis, as we focused on the artistic paths of his photographic work.

Este projeto de pesquisa tem como objetivo realizar um estudo comparado entre o livro Amar, verbo intransitivo, de Mário de Andrade e os roteiros jamais filmados ou publicados que o professor, roteirista e crítico de cinema Paulo Emilio Salles Gomes fez a partir do livro. A proposta da dissertação é comparar roteiros e livro, tendo como base um estudo da problemática da focalização, de modo que se busque um sentido para o conjunto de diferenças verificadas na passagem do livro aos roteiros. É central, neste projeto, tentar entender a que tipo de leitura do romance as modificações promovidas pelos roteiros servem, sobretudo no que diz respeito à construção da voz narrativa. Com isso, esperamos contribuir para os estudos da obra de Paulo Emilio Salles Gomes, bem como esmiuçar a específica leitura que os roteiros fazem do texto (e do contexto) de Mário de Andrade. / The aim of this work is to analyze the screenplays written by film critic Paulo Emilio Salles Gomes which were based on the book Fräulein, by Mário de Andrade (New York: The Macaulay Company, 1933). These screenplays were never published nor made into film. This thesis compares both the screenplays and the book, and it is based on the The Theory of Point of View in fiction. In addition, the objective is to find meaning in the differences between the book and screenplays. This will enable us to understand how these changes can offer an alternate interpretation of Andrade\'s book.
