Komunikační prostředky a jejich využití ve školách pro žáky se sluchovým postižením v Praze a Mnichově / Means of communication and their use at schools for pupils with hearing impairment in Prague and Munich

Vybíralová, Marie January 2017 (has links)
The presented diploma thesis deals with the means of communication (sign language, signed language, written language, finger alphabet, etc.) used by teachers in schools for pupils with hearing impairment in Prague and Munich. The work is interested in the topic of related educational approaches, which schools, or teachers use, and what means of communication they prefer. Using observation methods and questionnaires, it wants to find out what or who leads the educators to the chosen communication means and what they think about their own communication competencies. In addition, it compares the current situation of this issue at the elementary schools for the hearing impaired in Prague and Bavarian Munich. The first chapter focuses on which kind of pupils are attending schools for the hearing impaired and what are the possibilities for communication. The second chapter deals with approaches to the education of pupils with hearing impairment. In addition to basic approaches (oral, total, bilingual) describes the approach by American linguist D. A. Stewart, which was developed for the needs of the classroom. Before comparing the results of the research, there are two chapters dealing briefly with descriptions and history (particularly from the point of view of communication) of the researched schools....

No. of bitstreams: 1 David Costa Monteiro.pdf: 2947151 bytes, checksum: 2fa8ac9f19e8e0fa52699b42e5e4ca34 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2018-02-28 / The sustainability of cities depends on the logistics aspect related to the transportation of people residing in peripheral regions of large municipalities and who need attention regarding access to goods and services, whether public or private. In the particular case of the elderly residents far from the center of the city of São Paulo they go through the difficulty of aging itself, the question of recklessness in the face of low security in the most central area of the city, lack of public transportation options, distances extended by human growth and inaccessibility to public and private services. We investigated the issue of the elderly with hearing problems who need care to acquire hearing aids and the maintenance of such equipment. The general objective is to present the elements, based on the three pillars of sustainability (Triple Bottom Line), which can contribute to the improvement of the provision of goods and services to elderly people who use hearing aids and live in peripheral regions of the city of São Paulo. Methodologically, the research was based on a mixed approach: qualitative and quantitative, and also based on bibliographic review, documentary analysis and statistical analysis from a field survey and structured questionnaire application. From the economic point of view, the company under study provided new possibilities and new real gains with the new sales strategy adopted, which is consistent with door to door sales and through agreements with commercial partners located in the neighborhoods where their clientele reside. Socially, there was a great deficit of urban rigging and public investments in the direction of adequately adapting to the local needs of the population: the access to health to be improved, ergonomically lacking works, optimization of the elements essential to urban mobility (in face of the neighborhoods of Capão Redondo and Grajaú) such as public transport and others. From the environmental point of view, the company under study innovated by being able to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide initially promoted in its regionally directed sales. The contributions to the presented practice showed that new strategies of approaching the company with the clientele can supply the demand of a sustainable way for the lesser part of the city. As contributions to the theory the research was shown to be relevant when presenting that the tripod of sustainability can be applied by companies in diverse segments, as exposed, the branch of hearing aids in peripheral regions of the city of São Paulo. It is also concluded that if the entrepreneurs intelligently apply their resources, beneficially will influence the quality of life of their clientele, even more positively enhancing their business as a whole.

Videotrénink interakcí a možnosti jeho využití v rodinách s dětmi se sluchovým postižením / Video Home Training and Its Possibilities in System of Families with Hearing Impaired Children

Holyanska, Marie January 2021 (has links)
The aim of the master's thesis is in-depth exploration of possibilities of using the Video Home Training method within a family setting and with motivation to support the development of communication between the child with hearing impairment and his hearing parent. The first part of the thesis creates a background for this research, psychological aspects of the care for a deaf child are being described, along with the demands for mutual conversation, which is more difficult and also absolutely crucial for future healthy development of the child. Foreign researches suggest that the VHT method for children with a hearing impairment and their parents can very effectively strengthen the development of communication, to which a research project follows up. Its goal is to apply VHT method within the described type of family. For the research, a case study design was used, and by using a VHT, a semi-structured interviews and self reporting scales, possibilities and limits of VHT method used in the family were evaluated. This evaluation proved to be very positive and at the same time it is in a consonance with findings of foreign studies. Submitted case study and its research findings contribute to the broadening of application areas in which VHT method can be used, and at the same time these findings and...

The academic self-concept of learners with hearing impairment in two South African public school contexts : special and full-service inclusion schools

Du Plessis, Anna-Barbara 16 August 2005 (has links)
The Education White Paper 6 has set South Africa on the course for implementing a policy of inclusive education and participation in its schools. It is argued that an essential criterion to establish the congruency between the inclusive education and participation policy and its implementation is the academic self-concept (ASC) of learners. The ASC is influenced by context, thereby including all the systems which contribute to context, such as the education, school, class and social systems. As the product of different factors in various systems, the ASC may have significant diagnostic value in a school and class system. For this study, the ASC of learners with hearing impairment (HI), as an example of an impairment to be included in schools, was explored, involving two public school contexts: special and full-service inclusion schools. The research design incorporated a multi- and mixed method design, as quantitative data, to measure, describe and analyse the nature of the ASC of learners with HI, was augmented with qualitative data, to further explore the nature of the relation between the ASC and HI, especially in respect of the dynamics of the ASC. The investigation entailed developing and administering ASC questionnaires to Grade Seven learners with and without HI in special and full-service inclusion schools, observing classroom interactions, conducting interviews with the principals, educators and learners with HI, and collecting background information on the learners with HI. In answer to the main research question, What is the ASC of Grade Seven learners with HI in the contexts of special and full-service inclusion schools?, the data suggested that school context (full-service inclusion or special schools) did not play a primary role in influencing the ASC of learners with HI. The first sub-question related to the role HI plays in the ASC of Grade Seven learners in the two school contexts. The results suggested that HI greatly influenced the first language ASC (LASC) of the learners with HI in the special school and one of the full-service schools. HI did not seem to play a strong role in the mathematics ASC (MASC) of learners with HI, provided that there was adequate and effective support for the learners with HI. The second sub-question addressed the outcome(s) related to the ASC of Grade Seven learners with HI, which could be regarded as indicative of the successful conversion of primary schools to full-service inclusion schools. The results suggested that a general ASC (GASC) and LASC which are moderately lower than the GASC and LASC of the learners with no HI, and a MASC that is similar to the MASC of the learners with no HI, is acceptable. The third sub-question addressed guidelines to improve the conversion of primary schools to full-service inclusion schools. From the data, early identification of HI, appropriate technical and early specialised learning support, and the accessibility and knowledge of educators appeared to contribute the most to the ASC of learners with HI. Understanding some of the functional and accidental limitations of the research places the findings and conclusions in perspective. / Thesis (PhD (Educational Psychology))--University of Pretoria, 2006. / Educational Psychology / unrestricted

Bízková, Tereza January 2019 (has links)
This diploma thesis focuses on the current situation in interpreter services for deaf in Carlsbad region in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of diploma thesis aims to inform the reader about the terminology, language, another communication code and the number of deaf people in the Czech Republic. I present the information I have gathered about the deaf community. The goal of the diploma thesis is to create the business plan for interpretation services for the deaf community for the year 2019. After studying documents from the national organization I describe the current situation in the Carlsbad region with interpreter services for the deaf. The surveys aim is to interview doctors from otorhinolaryngology and foniatry in the Carlsbad region. The interviews focus on the communication needs of people with hearing impairment and the information doctors have about interpretation services in the region. Based on the data from the research I did, I found out the exact number of interpretation services for deaf in the region. Unfortunately from the documents I was not able to find out the exact number of deaf clients in the Carlsbad region. From the interviews I ascertain, that the doctors are not informed about the communication needs of people with hearing impairment. Doctors learn information...

Untersuchungen zur Altersassoziierten Innenohrschwerhörigkeit: Master Thesis Präventionsmedizin in 2 Teilen - Teil 1 Theorie, Teil 2 Praxis-Fallstudie, Untersuchung an 202 Patienten

Lauterbach, Hans-Heinz 20 January 2014 (has links)

Rozvoj komunikace u dětí s poruchou autistického spektra a kochleárním implantátem / Communication development in children with autism spectrum disorder and cochlear implant

Vovsová, Alena January 2020 (has links)
The thesis deals with the communication development in deaf children after cochlear implantation, which have at the same time diagnosed autism spectrum disorder. The theoretical part is divided into three chapters. First two chapters deal with specifics of hearing impairment, or rather autism spectrum disorder, and its effects on the overall development of the child with an emphasis on communication ability. There are briefly introduced the classification of hearing impairments and compensation aids related to the topic of the work - hearing aids and cochlear implants. There is also space devoted to the characteristics of particular autism spectrum disorders. The third chapter describes the most common communication systems or aids used by persons with hearing disabilities, more precisely with the autism spectrum disorder, and the possibility of communication of people with a combination of these two disabilities. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to qualitative research, which main objective was to find out how obtaining a cochlear implant may influence the development of communication of a deaf child with autism spectrum disorder. As part of the research, interviews with parents of these children were conducted. These interviews were supplemented by open-ended questionnaires addressed...
