This thesis is concerned with agricultural marketing cooperatives and antitrust policy of agribusiness in the Czech Republic The first part describes the characteristics and structure development in the agriculture and agribusiness in general. Principles of competition policy and the role of the Office for the Protection of Competition in the development of competition law in this area are defined as follows. The last part of this work is devoted to cooperative companies and concrete competition cases.

This diploma thesis entitled Legal protection of farm animals against cruelty aims to provide comprehensive overview of legal provisions for the protection of farm animals, authorities providing this protection and historical bases of the way humans interact with animals. The thesis has 7 chapters. The first chapter defines the key terms for this work, animals and farm animals. The second charter pursues the development of the human-animal relationship and philosophical, religious and other influences affecting this relationship. The third chapter gives an overview of the first legislation dealing with animal cruelty. We can find International treaties and European Union law on the protection of farm animals against cruelty in the fourth charter. Then the thesis focuses on the current Czech legislation, the individual areas of animal treatment regulated by law and in particular the Act no. 246/1992 Coll., On protection of animals against cruelty. The sixth chapter defines the scope of the individual animal protection authorities and finally it provils the overview of the possibilities of sanctions imposed on persons in order to protect farm animals.

66 Compensation for damage caused by breach of competition rules Abstract This thesis analyses actions for damages for infringements of the competition law, an area newly regulated by Directive 2014/104/EU of the European Parliament and of the council of 26 November 2014 on certain rules governing actions for damages under national law for infringements of the competition law provisions of the Member States and of the European Union. A main purpose of this thesis is to describe specific aspects of actions for damages for infringements of the competition law, introduce alternatives to provisions of the Directive, identify the impact of the Directive on successful private enforcement of damages and evaluate a new proposal for a statute transposing the Directive into Czech law. The thesis is divided into eight chapters. Chapter One contains a brief introduction which is followed in Chapter Two by an evaluation of the necessity of this Directive and of its scope. Chapter Three deals with indirect purchaser's standing and passing-on defense, where it is noted that this change brings more complexity into the proceedings and the lack of indirect purchasers' motivation to sue is still persistent. The main goal of my thesis will be to find, how two significant dailies - Hospodářské noviny and Lidové noviny, reported about Václav Klaus's whole term. The thesis is based on the media theory like theory of gatekeeping or theory of agenda-setting and on the biography of Václav Klaus. There is a system of hypotheses that are asking questions which are needed for the study of stereotypes, for the following of the periodicity of titles with president's name on them, or for the meaning of the specific articles. For that I will be using Newton Media database. On the end of the thesis I should find out whether there is media bias towards Václav Klaus in his term. And I also hope that I would be able to evaluate objectivity of these studied dailies.

The subject of my thesis is the impact of the Ukrainian crisis on German Russian relations and the German economy. Experts say that the deterioration of trade relations between the European Union and Russia caused by the Ukrainian crisis will also affect the economies of individual European countries. The deterioration in trade relations were caused by sanctions imposed in response to the crisis in Ukraine. The degree of impact of the Ukrainian crisis on a given country is directly proportional to the countrys interconnection with the Russia. Before the Ukrainian crisis began, Germany was Russias most active trading partner from the European Union. Germany also plays a significant role in the Ukrainian crisis, as a negotiator between the European Union and Russia. The influence of the Ukrainian crisis on the German economy is defined by the development of Germanys economic relations with Russia an important trading partner to Germany. Two economic indicators were used to assess the relationship: German-Russian commodity trading and German foreign direct investment in the Russian market. The development of trade between Germany and Russia was also analyzed within the individual economic sectors targeted by the sanctions. The impact of the Ukrainian crisis on the German economy was further assessed by the development of Germanys trade relati-ons with Ukraine and Belarus. The results of the analysis of economic indicators, which are in line with the information provided in expert sources, confirmed the negative impact of the Ukrainian crisis on German-Russian relations and the German economy. The negative impacts of the Ukrainian crisis on the German economy manifest in the form of financial losses caused by the decline in German exports to Russia and the poor economic situation of German investors in the Russian market. Due to the sanctions, some long-term projects between Germany and Russia were canceled, German companies operating in the Russian market experienced declining revenues, and these companies were forced to lay off workers.

Diplomová práce se zabývá finančním krachem argentinské ekonomiky se zaměřením na její postupné zotavování. Teoretická část se podrobněji zabývá obdobím režimu směnitelnosti spojeného s fungováním měnového výboru až do vypuknutí krize, včetně hlavních příčin vedoucích k zhroucení ekonomiky. V analytické části jsou nejprve rozebírána jednotlivá stabilizační opatření s cílem předejít krizi a následně zmírnit její průběh. Součástí je i role Mezinárodního měnového fondu v Argentině. Hlavní pozornost je věnována klíčovým opatřením přijatých za účelem rychlého nastartování ekonomiky včetně jeho průběhu. Poslední kapitola obsahuje oblasti, které s výhledem do budoucna budou vyžadovat zvýšenou pozornost.

Jednou z nejdůležitějších oblastí, na kterou je soustředěna pomoc v rámci politiky hospodářské a sociální soudržnosti EU, je oblast rozvoje lidských zdrojů. Hlavním finančním nástrojem pro podporu lidských zdrojů v ČR je Evropský sociální fond. Pro předchozí programové období 2004-2006 bylo pro oblast implementace strukturálních fondů charakteristické především získávání zkušeností a v souvislosti s tím potýkání se s nejrůznějšími problémy. Cílem práce je podat informace o možnostech čerpání z ESF v ČR, zhodnotit čerpání v předchozím programovém období a poskytnout z toho vyplývající doporučení pro žadatele v současném období.
