Darbo ir šeimos derinimas: darbdavių ir darbuotojų požiūrių analizė / Work-family balance: analysis of employers and emploees opinion

Kazėnaitė, Indrė 30 January 2014 (has links)
Remiantis A.Maslauskaitės teorija (2004 m), jog rinkos ūkis kuria šeimai nedraugišką aplinką, o darbo rinkoje sėkm pasiekia tik tie individai, kurie nėra saistomi asmeninių įsipareigojimų, atliktas anketinis lyginamasis dviejų oponuojančių grupių nuomonių tyrimas. Autorės atlikto tyrimo rezultatai rodo, jog žymiai daugiau darbdavių, nei darbuotojų link manyti, kad darbuotojai turi pakankamai laiko asmeniniam gyvenimui, savo šeimoms, kad užimtumas darbe nebūtinai riboja individų tarpusavio santykius. / This thesis is a comprehensive analysis of work-family balance theory and the implications of its implementation. The thesis investigates major forms of flexible work organization as well as examines their impact for employer, employee and stability in the family of employee. Forms of flexible work organization aggregate to a set of measures which enable the employee to choose the most suitable way to perform entitled tasks, coordinate professional and personal obligations and remain in the labour market during critical periods of the family life cycle such as birth of a child, homecare of people with disabilities, etc. The successful implementation of these measures depends not only on the decisions of governmental institutions but also on the approach of employers and their motivation to implement flexible measures for favourable family policy conditions. The thesis is aimed to reveal employer‘s approach to employees who seek to combine family and work. Also, analyse and compare the opinions of employers and employees to the same problems. The research part consists of a comparative opinion survey between two opposing groups. It has been carried out on the basis of A. Maslauskaitė theory (2004) which suggests that existing rules of labour market create unfavourable conditions for family while successful career is available only for those who are not bounded by personal obligations. The results of the research indicate that there are many more employers than employees who... [to full text]

Swanepoel, Lizanne January 2011 (has links)
Thesis (M.A. (Psychology))--North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2012.

Naplňování vybraných standardů kvality sociálních služeb v domově pro seniory / Fulfilment of selected quality standards for social services in care homes for the elderly

MICÁKOVÁ, Vladimíra January 2011 (has links)
The dissertation focuses on the topic of fulfilment of selected quality standards for social services in care homes for the elderly. The theoretical part of the piece of work deals with defining the terms pertaining to the quality standards of social services in care homes for the elderly. These are the terms ?old age?, ?need?, ?care home for the elderly?, ?social services?, ?quality standards?, and ?client?. The aim of the dissertation was to map the fulfilment and realisation of selected quality standards in care homes for the elderly. Partial aims were to determine the extent of fulfilment of quality standards from the point of view of the client and to compare the individual levels of application of the quality standards for social services. Two care homes were chosen for the study, the Care Home for the Elderly Tep in Veselí nad Lužnicí and the Care Home for the Elderly in Horní Stropnice. Two hypotheses were established. Quantitative research was chosen to facilitate reaching the aims and verifying the hypotheses, utilising questioning methods, interviewing techniques and questionnaire enquiry. Furthermore, analysing the data was accomplished using secondary document analysis. The research file contained the clients and staff of both selected care homes for the elderly. Following the evaluation of the results I believe that the aims of the dissertation were fulfilled. Selected quality standards are realised well in both care homes for the elderly and the essential criteria of individual quality standards are fulfilled as well. In addition, the research study proved both hypotheses to be correct. Selected quality standards are fulfilled from the point of view of the clients and at the same time applied in accordance with their needs. The dissertation can provide the selected care homes for the elderly with feedback regarding the fulfilment and realisation of selected quality standards of social services. It can also equally serve as guidance for potential clients in choosing their social services provider.

Globalización e insostenibilidad ecológica y social / Globalización e insostenibilidad ecológica y social

Guevara, Leonor 10 April 2018 (has links)
Through history of societies we may consider recent the fact that differences amongeconomic activities affect those that suffer polítical control. Previous invasions of the named discovery of America did not have involvement similar to those of the present interregionallinks.Sorne globalization indicators are visible from past to modero times and resulted from the continuous technological advances in the mass production of goods as well as in communications, massive migration of the labor force in search of places that offer better job opportunities, the relationship between world production and commercialization levels, and capital flow without regard of international borders. However, these conditions are not same neither for all regions nor for the members of all societies. The variations caused by the recent structure of the economic system make theeconomic geography to be further separare from politics, even at the heart of societies due to the fact that sorne social segments are more integrated with other territories rather than with their own.To participare in the world economy, there are new competitive challenges thathave significant effects on a nation's environmental policies, making them unacceptable beca use they disagree with its national interests. There is a need for the establishment of indexes to measure the sustainability of development, because different frameworks determine each of the three objectives-social, environmental and economic. If we want to achieve a better quality of life for everybody, induding the unborn, then we need to build a development project that takes human needs intoconsideration, without biodiversity loses and environmental deterioration.

Communicating Sustainability through Design within Retail Environments

Hendry, Daniel, Silcox, Lawrence, Yokoyama, Nobuko January 2007 (has links)
This thesis uses a systematic understanding of sustainability informed by human needs, learning and design theory to explore ways in which small retail environments can effectively communicate sustainability concepts. The envisioned outcome of successfully communicating and implementing sustainability within retail environments is a lasting change in people’s daily behaviors. The methods of literature review, surveys, human needs investigation and professional validation are used to develop a behavioral change model centered on human needs and learning as well as six communication guidelines. The appendix of this thesis contains a user-friendly pocket guidebook titled The Six Guidelines for Sustainable Retail. The guidebook is designed as a quick-reference tool for retailers, designers and employees. It contains principles, visuals and concepts of sustainability for daily communication and comprehension purposes.

Social Dimension of Sustainable Development : Guidance and Application

Benaim, Andre, Collins, Amber, Raftis, Luke January 2008 (has links)
In the shift towards a sustainable society, there have been varying interpretations of what this will mean for the social sphere. Using the parameters for social sustainability presented in the framework for strategic sustainable development (FSSD), this research sought to assist sustainability practitioners in identifying and eliminating the creation of or contribution to barriers that undermine the individual’s capacity to meet their needs. In doing so, the researchers explored the processes of social systems and employed a systems thinking perspective to examine how an organization could, through the intentional structuring of its processes, work to eliminate their contributions to arriers. From this research, characteristics of processes that move an organization towards socially sustainable development were identified as cooperation, transparency, openness, inclusiveness and involvement, around which a guidebook was developed to promote organizational reflection and examination of processes in regards to these characteristics and fundamental human needs. / This thesis aims to provide useful guidance for transforming organizational processes to better reflect a consideration of human needs. It seeks to address structures which act as barriers to the capacity of people to actualize their needs, and proposes a set of characteristics of processes that help to eliminate these barriers. /
andbenaim@yahoo.com.br - Andre Benaim acollins01@gmail.com - Amber C. Community Food Systems : Working towards Sustainability and Satisfying Human Needs

Monteverde, Monique, Pease, Katie, Thompson, Anthony W. January 2007 (has links)
Abstract: A community food system (CFS) can assist a community in satisfying human needs while also working toward a principle-based understanding of sustainability. Utilizing a whole-systems perspective and the Framework for Strategic Sustainable Development, we identify generic satisfiers of human needs (as defined by Max-Neef: Subsistence, Participation, Identity, Idleness, Creation, Freedom, Affection, Understanding and Protection) that are affected by a CFS. Then we identify specific leverage points within the community food system that most enhance those generic satisfiers. By implementing strategies developed around those leverage points, a community food system will provide opportunities to meet Human Needs and help a community move toward sustainability. In doing so, the CFS can have a significant ―ripple effect‖ within the community, and on into society, that serves to support movement towards a sustainable future. /
Monique Monteverde-greenmountain@gmail.com Katie Pease-tierradiversity@yahoo.com Anthony W. Die sistematies-teologiese betekenis van menslike behoeftes (Afrikaans)

Pauw, Christiaan Johannes 29 September 2006 (has links)
This study analysis the concept of human needs form a systematic theological perspective. The definition of human needsis formulated to include the element of deficiency as well as the element of potential The study is divided in three parts according to the author’s definition of the task of systematic theology as coherent articulation of the Christian faith, the apologetic defense of the Christian faith against competing truth claims and the establishment of guidelines for the practical work of the church. According to this definition of the task of systematic theology, the study is divided into three parts. Part one analyses some of the classical loci of dogmatics for their implications for a Christian perspective on human needs. The doctrines of God, creation, Christ and salvation, the Spirit and the church as well as the doctrine of sin are analysed here. Special attention is paid to theological anthropology by analyzing the contributions of Karl Barth and Wolfhart Pannenberg in this regard. Part two analyses the origins and factual basis for the popular claims that a hierarchy of needs exist and that people have infinite needs. Serious deficiencies are found in Maslow’s theory of the pre-potency of needs. The contribution of Max-Neref, especially his distinction between needs and satisfies, facilitates a more nuanced understanding of the subject. As a conclusion to this part the results of part one and two are used to give a short outline of a Christian perspective on human needs. Humans need God as the basic ground and purpose of their existence. The presence of God is both mediated and presupposed by the fundamental need for other people. All human needs have a material basis. Human needs should be thought of as a network and not as a hierarchy. Here the symbolic needs facilitates the integration of the person while the material needs maintain the basis on which integration takes place People do not have infinite needs but needs the Infinite One. The third part provides clarity of what the concepts holistic and relevant mean for Christian ministry. / Thesis (DD (Dogmatics and Christian Ethics))--University of Pretoria, 2007. / Dogmatics and Christian Ethics / unrestricted

Harlemites' Preconceptions of Unmet Human Needs and TheLoss of Harlem Culture: A Quantitative Study of The Causes of Conflict and Gentrification

Banks, Arnold John 01 January 2014 (has links)
This dissertation investigates the process of forced eviction (i.e., gentrification) and its influence on Harlem culture. The study quantifies four (4) significant factors involved in the influencing of a paradigm shift. The study explicitly examines the historical and traditional cultures of Harlemites' when framed in the theoretical context of unmet human needs. In this study, unmet human needs in association with theoretical constructs have demonstrated strong correlations in relation to altering attitudes that affect complex thought and human behavior. This study reports the empirical results and the investigated associations of theoretical constructs as they pertain to the various hypotheses outlined in this dissertation. Analytical measurements used in this study include both descriptive and inferential statistics. The sample population was 300 and six (6) statistical tools are used to examine and analyze the data. This study will show that correlations and regression results suggest unmet human needs shape the observation on the preconceptions of culture and the findings are conclusive. Psychological characteristics moderately influence culture and congruent with Maslow's and Burton's human needs theories. The researcher postulates that the theoretical models used in the study and working hypotheses in this exposition can be used in guiding impending research.
