Especificamente, o objetivo desta pesquisa é analisar o período compreendido entre as décadas de 1960 e 1970 quando Ianni publicou obras fundamentais e polêmicas a respeito das modificações estruturais operadas no Estado brasileiro. As pesquisas realizadas pelo autor neste período a respeito das vinculações entre o Estado brasileiro e a economia inserem-se num estudo mais amplo realizado pelo Centro de Sociologia Industrial e do Trabalho (CESIT)1, vinculado a cadeira de Sociologia I, sob a coordenação do professor Florestan Fernandes. O projeto geral dessa pesquisa intitulava-se "Economia e sociedade no Brasil: Análise sociológica do subdesenvolvimento" e tinha outros importantes pesquisadores vinculados a esse empreendimento tais como: Fernando Henrique Cardoso, Maria Sylvia de Carvalho Franco, Luiz Pereira, Paul Singer, Marialice Mencarini Foracchi, Leôncio Martins Rodrigues, Lourdes Sola, etc. Em suma, na década de 1960, Ianni, juntamente com Florestan Fernandes e outros pesquisadores, empreendeu uma investigação sobre a mudança social que estava em curso no Brasil no período devido à rápida industrialização realizada neste país. Coube ao autor investigar a relação entre a atividade econômica e o poder público. Por isto, focaliza em sua pesquisa a atuação estatal frente à passagem de uma economia primária exportadora para uma economia substitutiva de importações. Segundo Ianni, o Estado brasileiro será o centro das decisões com relação à expansão das forças produtivas da economia capitalista. Ao longo deste período, a esfera estatal amplia sua atuação no sentido de corrigir os desequilíbrios e as distorções surgidas na economia / Abstract: The following master's thesis research has the goal of examining part of the theoretical work of the sociologist Octávio Ianni (1926-2004) during the time in which the author analyzed the transformation undergone by the Brazilian State in the time of the industrialization (1930-1964). Specifically, the objective of this research is to analyze the period between the 1960 and 1970 decades when Ianni published fundamental and polemic works in the structural modifications in the Brazilian State. The research conducted by the author in this period about the links between the Brazilian State and the economy is part of a broader study by the Center of Industrial and Work Sociology (CESIT), linked to the chair of Sociology I, under the coordination of the professor Florestan Fernandes. The general project of this research was entitled "Economy and society in Brazil: A sociological analysis of underdevelopment" and had other important researchers tied to the enterprise such as: Fernando Henrique Cardoso, Maria Sylvia de Carvalho Franco, Luiz Pereira, Paul Singer, Marialice Mencarini Foracchi, Leôncio Martins Rodrigues, Lourdes Sola, etc. In short, in the 1960s, Ianni together with Florestan Fernandes and other researchers undertook an investigation on the social change that was on course in Brazil in the period due to the fast industrialization in the country. It was up to the author to investigate the relationship between the economical activity and the public power. Therefore, his research focuses on the state action regarding the passage from a primary exporting economy to an importation replacement economy. According to Ianni, the Brazilian State will be the center of decisions in regard to the expansion of productive forces of the capitalist economy. A partir do estudo de sua "Sociologia da Sociologia", exposta em diversos artigos e livros do autor, se observou como o sociólogo brasileiro foi articulando os fundamentos teóricos e metodológicos de uma obra extremamente vigorosa e polêmica no cenário intelectual do país. A pesquisa associa tal êxito, assim como do núcleo intelectual adjunto à Universidade de São Paulo, a partir de fins da década de cinqüenta, com uma concepção que advoga a sociologia como "autoconsciência científica da realidade". Ao promover uma "Sociologia da Sociologia", o sociólogo destaca a necessidade de as Ciências Sociais pensarem não apenas a realidade social, mas também a si mesmas; as condições nas quais são produzidos os novos conhecimentos, as escolhas do pesquisador, etc. Octávio Ianni organiza um programa coerente, no qual é destacado o caráter "não-neutro" do pensamento sociológico, porém numa perspectiva que supera o reducionismo político e ideológico que teria caracterizado a excessiva politização da produção sociológica da América Latina entre os anos sessenta e oitenta / Abstract: This research sought to highlight the role played by Octavio Ianni in the drafting of the "critical sociology" in Brazil. From the study of his "Sociology of Sociology" exposed to various articles and books by the author was observed as the Brazilian sociologist was articulating the theoretical and methodological work of a very vigorous debate and intellectual scene in the country. The research associates such success as well as the intellectual core adjunct to the University of São Paulo, from the late fifties with a design that advocates sociology as "scientific self-consciousness of reality." This reading is done on the idea of "ordinary people sociability" of Octavio Ianni , to think the sociability of youths from the suburbs of Goiânia in the forms of cultural expressions from the hip hop movement. This thesis starts from the idea that cultural expressions of young people from the suburbs are expressions of revolt forms of exclusion imposed on them, so that the categories of hip hop - rap, break dance, the disk jockey ( DJ) and graphite - are forms of complaint and resistance of these forms of exclusion. We start from the idea of historical and dialectical materialism to make an analysis of the forms of materialization of culture through cultural movements, ie as the abstraction of the intangible social environment, culture, turns into a real movement of revolt against the forms of exclusion historically imposed on a social group, in this case young people of the suburbs of the city of Goiania. In the first chapter there is primarily a history of hip hop movement in general and specifically in Brazil, in order to specify the appearance so this cultural movement in the world and in Brazil and what it will mean for the cultural movement of youths of the peripheries. In the first chapter is made a theoretical reading on the materiality of anchored culture in ontological forms of cultural expressions, this reading consider the fact that the human being is the only animal that transforms your environment and it becomes, and thus it is able to convey to other generations the knowledge acquired throughout history, that is, and that we name culture. In the second chapter is made approximation of expressions of cultural movements of the peripheries in order to reach the ways in which hip hop is expressed through a closer reading of the research object tries to show how the revolt expressions are put in hip hop movement. In the third chapter we seek to approach the search field, making an analysis of the speeches of the hip hop movement young, this was done in order to get in the speeches of these young people or in other forms of expression of these through other hip hop categories, to expose the question raised at the beginning of this research, namely the cultural movement as an expression of a revolt historically imposed on subaltern social groups, in this case young people from the peripheries of Goiania. / Partindo a ideia de fazer um resgate da sociologia de Octavio Ianni, como forma de pensar o Brasil na atualidade, este trabalho tem como objetivo fazer uma leitura crítica sobre a atualidade dos escritos de Ianni na contemporaneidade. Esta leitura é feita partindo da ideia de “sociabilidade do homem simples” de Octavio Ianni, de forma a pensar a sociabilidade dos jovens das periferias de Goiânia nas formas de suas expressões culturais a partir do movimento hip hop. Esta dissertação parte da ideia de que as expressões culturais dos jovens das periferias são expressões de revolta das formas de exclusão impostas a estes, de modo que as categorias do hip hop ¬– o rap, o break dance, o disk jockey (DJ) e o grafite – são as formas de denúncia e resistência destas formas de exclusão. Partimos da ideia do materialismo histórico-dialético para fazer uma análise das formas de materialização da cultura através dos movimentos culturais, ou seja, de como a abstração do meio social imaterial, da cultura, se transforma em um movimento real de revolta contra as formas de exclusão impostas historicamente a um grupo social, neste caso, os jovens das periferias da cidade de Goiânia. No primeiro capítulo faz-se primeiramente um histórico do movimento hip hop no geral e especificamente no Brasil, de forma a especificar o modo de surgimento deste movimento cultural no mundo e no Brasil e o que isso irá representar para o movimento cultural das juventudes de periferia. Ainda no primeiro capítulo é feita uma leitura teórica sobre a materialidade da cultura ancorada nas formas ontológicas das expressões culturais, esta leitura considera o fato de que o ser humano é o único animal que transforma seu meio e com isso se transforma, e, por isso, é capaz de transmitir para as outras gerações o conhecimento adquirido ao longo da história, ou seja, e a isso damos o nome de cultura. No segundo capítulo é feito uma aproximação das expressões dos movimentos culturais das periferias de forma a chegar às formas em que o hip hop se expressa, através de uma leitura mais aproximada do objeto de pesquisa tenta-se mostrar como as expressões de revolta estão postas no movimento hip hop. No terceiro capítulo buscamos aproximar do campo de pesquisa fazendo uma análise das falas dos jovens do movimento hip hop, isso foi feito de forma a buscar nas falas destes jovens ou nas outras formas de expressão destes através das outras categorias do hip hop, para expor a questão levantada no início desta pesquisa, a saber: o movimento cultural como forma de expressão de uma revolta imposta historicamente a grupos sociais subalternos, neste caso os jovens da periferia de Goiânia.

[pt] O período brasileiro 1946-1964 foi tradicionalmente denominado pela literatura brasileira como um período populista, com versões que desqualificam a primeira experiência democrática do país e que foram fortemente internalizadas na sociedade. Nesta pesquisa, o objetivo foi analisar a hipótese formulada no sentido de que a crítica da ideia de populismo é uma condição para se pensar a primeira experiência democrática brasileira, apresentando uma reflexão crítica da literatura sobre o que se chamou de populismo no Brasil. A metodologia adotada foi a pesquisa bibliográfica, por meio da revisão de literatura. Realizou-se um mapeamento da trajetória social e acadêmica do conceito de populismo, apresentando as formulações de alguns historiadores que participaram da problematização do uso desse conceito nesse período histórico do país. O resultado encontrado foi que o paradigma do populismo está empenhado em uma literatura negativa do período, pois, abandonando-se a chave negativa do populismo, foram encontrados elementos caracterizadores de um processo democrático, como exemplo, sujeitos sociais que foram capazes de tomar iniciativas próprias; houve criação de partidos com ampla consistência social, além da incorporação inédita da população no processo político. Concluiu-se que no período analisado ocorreu a vigência de um processo democrático com os seus limites e contradições. A democracia estava sendo construída, mas foi, prematuramente, interrompida pelo golpe militar. / [en] The Brazilian period 1946-1964 was traditionally called by Brazilian literature as a populist period, with versions that discredit the country s first democratic experience and that were strongly internalized in society. In this research, the objective was to analyze the hypothesis formulated in the sense that the critique of the idea of populism is a condition for thinking about the first Brazilian democratic experience, presenting a critical reflection of the literature on what was called populism in Brazil. The methodology adopted was bibliographic research, through literature review. A mapping of the social and academic trajectory of the concept of populism was carried out, presenting the formulations of some historians who participated in the problematization of the use of this concept in this historical period of the country. The result found was that the paradigm of populism is committed to a negative literature of the period, because, abandoning the negative key of populism, characterizing elements of a democratic process were found, as an example, social subjects who were able to take their own initiatives; there was the creation of parties with broad social consistency, in addition to the unprecedented incorporation of the population into the political process. It was concluded that in the analyzed period there was a democratic process with its limits and contradictions. Democracy was being built, but it was prematurely interrupted by the military coup.

Através do estudo de algumas obras sobre a temática racial desenvolvidas por Octavio Ianni, buscamos compreender a linha de pensamento acerca do conteúdo no período entre 1957 a 1961. O trabalho consiste na investigação de determinadas obras, por meio de uma reconstrução histórico-sociológica na intenção de entender as diferentes perspectivas metodológicas utilizadas pelo autor em sua dissertação de mestrado e em sua tese de doutorado, quando se apropria do eixo de análise marxista para a análise do sistema escravocrata e sua abolição no Brasil. Os trabalhos sobre a questão racial desenvolvidos por Octavio Ianni trouxeram grande contribuição ao modo pelo qual o tema vinha sendo pesquisado desde que fora abolida a escravatura no Brasil. Os estudos ajudaram a diagnosticar não apenas este fenômeno mas também o desenvolvimento capitalista em curso no Brasil desde o final do século XIX. / We make in this research an analysis about Brazilian social political thought formed at Cadeira I de Sociologia Uspiana. Through the study of some works about the racial subject developed by Octavio Ianni we seek to comprehend a thought line about the content in the period between 1957 and 1961. The dissertation aims the investigation of specific works through a sociological-historic reconstruction intending to understand the different methodological perspectives used by the author in his master’s degree dissertation and PHD thesis, when adopting the Marxist perspective to analyze the slavery system and its disintegration in Brazil. The works about the racial question developed by Octavio Ianni brought important contributions to the way which the subject has been researched in Brazil since the slavery abolition. The studies helped to diagnostic not just this phenomenon but also the capitalist development since the 19th century
