The dissertation concentrates on the education of imprisoned persons in remand prison České Budějovice. The theoretical part contains the meaning of education for such persons and for the whole society, furthermore it takes into consideration the current system of education of those persons in Czech Republic and the contribution of specific penitentiary personnel on the whole process and on the effort of increasing the quality of inmate's life. The practical part contains direct research of the offered education in the remand prison České Budějovice. Fifteen narrative dialogues with inmates were used. These persons were talking about their respective lives with a special ephasis on their level of education, their relation to the field they were educated in, whether they would appreciate a broader offer of education while imprisoned and how they see their future regarding the education. These dialogues were compared with the outcome of the theoretical part and in the closing hypothetical recommendations regarding education of the inmates for the Prison service of Czech Republic were stated.

It is the act of extreme violence between couples, which occurs when the individual is taken by a sense of passion and intense emotion, going berserk in a situation of threat or loss of the object of love. The field of interest of this research is understanding the motivations for carrying out the crime of passion, the perceptions upon the act on individuals deprived of liberty, the insight into the emotional aspects linked to the crime committed, and the comprehension of offenders perception about the prison experience. Survey participants were offenders who committed the crime of passion against intimate partners, and were imprisoned in a detention facility in Viana, Angola. This study has a qualitative nature, utilizing a semi-structured interview as a research tool. The sample selected for the survey included 17 male participants, among which four were awaiting trial and thirteen had already been convicted. The age of respondents ranged between 26 and 54 years old. Categories were defined after the analysis of the contents of interviews. The theoretical approach was the psychodynamic psychology, which helped us understand the behavior of the subjects. The results revealed that the main reasons pushing the individuals to the crime of passion were jealousy and betrayal arisen by the presence of a rival, real or imaginary, stimulating the subject to evoke a mixture of thoughts, feelings, emotions and behaviors that aroused in him lack of control, intolerance and frustration, mobilizing him to the act of extreme violence / O crime passional é um fenômeno sociocultural que afeta a saúde pública. É o ato de violência extrema entre casais, que ocorre quando o sujeito é tomado por um sentimento de paixão e emoção intensa, descontrolando-se diante de uma situação de ameaça ou perda do objeto de amor. A presente pesquisa tem como campo de interesse a compreensão das motivações para a realização do crime passional, as percepções sobre o ato em sujeitos privados de liberdade, a apreensão dos aspectos emocionais ligados ao crime cometido e a percepção dos infratores a respeito da vivência carcerária. Os participantes da pesquisa eram infratores que cometeram crime passional contra as parceiras íntimas, e se encontravam encarcerados no estabelecimento prisional de Viana, em Angola. O método de estudo utilizado é de caráter qualitativo, e o instrumento de investigação foi a entrevista semiestruturada. A amostra selecionada para a pesquisa reuniu 17 participantes do sexo masculino, dos quais quatro se encontravam à espera de julgamento e treze já tinham sido condenados. A faixa etária dos entrevistados situava-se entre 26 e 54 anos de idade. As categorias foram definidas após a realização da análise do conteúdo das entrevistas. A abordagem teórica foi a psicologia psicodinâmica, que nos ajudou a compreender o comportamento dos sujeitos. Os resultados apontaram que os principais motivos que impulsionaram os sujeitos ao crime passional foram o ciúme e a traição, que surgiram com a presença de um rival, real ou imaginário, suscitando no indivíduo a evocação de uma mistura de pensamentos, sentimentos, emoções e comportamentos que nele despertaram descontrole, intolerância e frustração, mobilizando-o para o ato de violência extrema

[pt] O presente trabalho pretende apresentar dados gerais sobre a população carcerária feminina no Brasil, em especial com relação ao aumento do número de mulheres no cárcere, evidenciando os problemas específicos vividos por aquelas que estão grávidas, ou têm filhos e dependentes que são diretamente afetados pelo seu encarceramento. Observando o disposto nas Regras de Bankgok; na possibilidade de penas alternativas em outros países; e na própria lei brasileira de número 13.257/16, referente ao caráter domiciliar de cumprimento da pena para casos específicos; é possível afirmar que há iniciativas incentivadas por organizações internacionais para proteger as mulheres e crianças nesta condição, com movimentos de internalização destas normas. Entretanto, observa-se a dificuldade para a sua execução e os limites do sistema carcerário para atender estas novas demandas. Desse modo, o artigo provoca uma reflexão: a internalização da norma é o suficiente para a garantia de direitos, ou é necessário que sejam criados outros instrumentos com diretrizes específicas para a aplicação da mesma? / [en] This paper aims to present general data on the female prison population in Brazil, especially regarding the increase in the number of women in prison, highlighting the specific problems experienced by those who are pregnant, or have children and dependents that are directly affected by their incarceration. In compliance with Bankgok Rules; the possibility of alternative penalties in other countries; and in the Brazilian law of number 13.257/16, which refer to the domiciliary character of the penalty for specific cases; It is possible to affirm that there are initiatives encouraged by international organizations to protect women and children in this condition, with movements to internalize these norms. However, it is observed the difficulty for its execution and the limits of the prison system to meet these new demands. Thus, the article provokes a reflection: is the internalization of the norm enough to guarantee rights, or is it necessary to create other instruments with specific guidelines for its application?

The thesis focuses on problems of children with imprisoned parents in the Czech Republic to which our society pays only a low attention. The study points to specific problems which children have to deal with, to a children's unhealthy psychosocial development influated by a longtime separation from their parent and to an unsufficient observance of childern's rights, especially the regular contact with a parent. This work presents posibilites how children can stay in touch with a busted parent and describes supporting activites of Czech Helsinki Comitee. The empirical part of the thesis tries to clarify the influence of a parent's imprisonment on a quality of a relationship between parents and children and define main fields where changes would be needed. Esta pesquisa propõe a investigação das práticas educativas desenvolvidas por organizações da sociedade civil e pessoas voluntárias no interior do sistema penitenciário do estado de São Paulo. Tais iniciativas, que se constituem em partilha da responsabilidade entre Estado e sociedade civil, são previstas e estimuladas em normas que versam sobre a educação no ambiente prisional. Diante da falta de informações sistemáticas acerca dessas parcerias, esta pesquisa teve entre seus objetivos: a caracterização dos tipos de parcerias estabelecidas; a identificação das motivações, intencionalidades e objetivos que regem tais iniciativas; a verificação de diferenças entre as atividades propostas nos presídios masculinos e femininos, entre outros. A pesquisa permitiu identificar sinais de mudança no campo da educação em prisões. Estes sinais, muitas vezes, parecem coerentes com as alterações percebidas por diversos autores, no Brasil e no mundo, no que diz respeito à ampliação do encarceramento, constituição de um sistema de privilégios no qual se baseia a manutenção da ordem interna às prisões, e abandono do ideal de reabilitação. No entanto, ações de governos, organizações da sociedade civil e também no campo da pesquisa indicam que a educação nas prisões vem se constituindo como um campo específico, tanto de análise quanto para a formulação de ações públicas, ainda incipientes, mas notáveis. / The purpose of this research is the investigation of educational practices carried out by civil society organizations and volunteer individuals in the São Paulo State prison system. These initiatives consist of sharing responsibility between the State and civil society, being comprehended and stimulated in guidelines concerning education in the prison environment. Considering the scarcity of systematic information concerning these partnerships, one of the goals of this research is the characterization of partnerships established; the identification of the motivations, intentionality and purposes that guide these initiatives; the differences between activities developed in male and female prisons, among others. The research made possible to identify evidences of changes in prison education. These evidences are often in accordance with the ones perceived by different authors in Brazil and in the world concerning the expansion of incarceration, the emergence of a privilege system upon which the maintenance of the prison internal order is founded, as well as the abdication of the rehabilitation purpose. However, both governments and civil society organizations actions, as well as the research area, indicate that prison education has been developing to become a specific field for both analysis and public policymaking, still incipient but already distinguishable.

Entre a cela e a sala de aula: um estudo sobre experiências educacionais de educadores presos no sistema prisional paulista

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This study has as its object of study the experience of inmates who are monitors/educators in the education of adult prisoners in the São Paulo penitentiary system. The research field was constituted by six prisons: Penitenciária de Serra Azul I, Penitenciária de Serra Azul II, Penitenciária Desembargador Adriano Marrey Guarulhos I, Penitenciária José Parada Neto Guarulhos II, Penitenciária Feminina do Butantã CPP and Penitenciária Dr. Sebastiao Martins Siqueira. There were 30 subjects, 28 men and 02 women, 27 being prisoners monitors and 03 educational managers. The specific objectives were: a) revisiting historical dimensions of the prison institution and its constitution, as well as characterize the Brazilian prison system, deepening particularities of the constituent aspects in São Paulo and in the prisons investigated; b) analyzing the legal and curricular guidelines of the education in prison; c) recording and reflecting on the identity of the educators who are prisoners; d) registering, reflecting and analyzing the concepts, knowledge and practices of educators who are prisoners in what relates to citizenship, education, justice in the context of the Department of Penitentiary Administration of São Paulo state. It was a qualitative research based on the procedures of oral history in an interdisciplinary vision. In order to achieve the objectives the following instruments were chosen: literature search; analysis of written documents such as laws, guidelines, educational material; and conducting oral interviews with inmates who are educators and managers. We also used theoretical contributions of cultural studies, narrative research, teachers education, teacher knowledge and the education of young and adult people (EYAP). The narratives of prisoners who are educators revealed a different profile, since they come from well-structured families, work inside and outside the prison and keep good family relationship. Four of the monitors have a college degree and the others have graduated in high school. Another identified trait among them was that of religious conversion in prison. Some of them have become educators and religious leaders. A number of reasons have motivated them to become educators in prison. Inmates monitors were considered good teachers, even without proper training. With the difficulties they admitted that they could develop a better work with the input of other learning materials. The analysis of the educational proposal and the voices of the subjects evidenced that the experience conducted by FUNAP was successful since it valued the subjects and the construction of knowledge and unique practices in the prison educational environment. That way it deserves to be preserved and valued. We have concluded that education in prison should not be a mere transposition of the process developed in regular schools, but a specific EYAP that considers the singularities of the prison environment and subjects as teachers to acknowledge the contradictions, and values the freirean ideals of liberating and emancipator education. / Esta tese tem como objeto de estudo a experiência de presos monitores/educadores na educação de adultos presos do sistema penitenciário paulista. O campo da pesquisa foram seis unidades prisionais: Penitenciária de Serra Azul I, Penitenciária de Serra Azul II, Penitenciária Desembargador Adriano Marrey Guarulhos I, Penitenciária José Parada Neto Guarulhos II, Penitenciária Feminina do Butantã CPP e a Penitenciária Dr. Sebastiao Martins Siqueira. O universo de colaboradores foi composto de 30 sujeitos, 28 homens e duas mulheres, sendo 27 presos monitores e 03 gestores educacionais. Os objetivos específicos do estudo foram assim delimitados: a) revisitar dimensões históricas da constituição da instituição prisional, bem como caracterizar o sistema prisional brasileiro, aprofundando particularidades dos aspectos constitutivos no estado de São Paulo e nas unidades prisionais investigadas; b) analisar as diretrizes legais e curriculares da constituição da educação escolar prisional; c) registrar e refletir sobre a identidade docente dos educadores (as) presos (as) e; d) registrar, refletir e analisar as concepções, os saberes e as práticas de educadores (as) presos (as) relacionadas à cidadania, à educação, à justiça no contexto da Secretaria de Administração Penitenciária do Estado de São Paulo. A pesquisa ancorou-se na abordagem da pesquisa qualitativa, pautada nos procedimentos da história oral temática em uma visão interdisciplinar. Para atingir os objetivos propostos foram escolhidos os seguintes procedimentos metodológicos: pesquisa bibliográfica; a análise de documentos escritos, tais como leis, diretrizes, material didático; e a realização de entrevistas orais com os presos educadores e gestores. Recorremos aos aportes teóricos dos estudos culturais, da pesquisa narrativa, formação de professores, saberes docentes e a educação de jovens e adultos. As narrativas dos educadores presos investigados revelaram possuir um perfil diferenciado, uma vez que vieram de famílias bem estruturadas, que trabalhavam fora e dentro da prisão e que mantêm laços familiares. Quatro dos monitores possuem curso superior e os demais ensino médio completo. Outro traço identificado, entre eles, foi o da conversão religiosa no interior do presídio. Assim, alguns deles tornaram-se educadores e líderes religiosos. Múltiplas razões os motivaram a tornarem-se educadores no presídio. Os presos monitores se consideraram bons professores, mesmo sem a formação adequada e com as dificuldades impostas, admitiram que poderiam ser melhores com o aporte de outros materiais didáticos. A análise da proposta educacional e das vozes dos sujeitos, evidenciou que a experiência paulista desenvolvida pela FUNAP foi uma experiência exitosa, na medida em que valorizou os sujeitos e a construção de saberes e práticas singulares nos espaços educativos da prisão. Neste sentido, merece ser preservada e valorizada. Concluímos que a educação nas prisões não deve ser uma mera transposição do processo desenvolvido nas escolas regulares, mas uma EJA específica que considere as singularidades do espaço prisional e dos sujeitos educandos e educadores, que reconheça as contradições e valorize os ideais freireanos de educação libertadora e emancipatória. / Doutor em Educação

The main goal of the theoretical part of submitted theses is to describe the field of specialized treatment of imprisoned drug users. The author's emphasis is to put the specialized treatment to a broader frame of the Risk-needs theory as well as to the frame of physical diseases and mental disorders that are often associated with addiction or drug abuse. Different kinds of specialized interventions that are usually used for treatment of imprisoned drug users in different countries are described. There is although demonstrated in which way these interventions are implemented in Czech prison system. By these interventions are especially meant treatment on the entry at the prison, detoxification, counselling and other programs and interventions with low intensity. Especial emphasis is put on residential prison programmes such as prison therapeutic communities for drug users and on opioid substitution treatment. A great number of pages are dedicated to the research of effectivity of treatment programmes. In the practical part of submitted theses results of cross-sectional study that was implemented in all Czech prisons in three waves in 2010, 2012 and 2014 are presented. The work is concerning forms of persecution to members of Seventh-Day Adventist Church in communist Czechoslovakia. Theoretical part describes possible forms of persecution from communist party to this Church and its members. Research part contains testimonies of interviews with addressed respondents with the author, including their experiences of such a persecution in that time. Most respondents were imprisoned during their military service, part of them lost the decree for chaplain work at certain region. Two respondents also experienced persecution in special military units.
