Socialinė įmonė kaip novacija: socialinio darbuotojo veiklos galimybės / Social enterprise as an inovation: activity possibilities of a social worker

Darbe analizuojama socialinių įmonių, kaip novacijų, raida ir išryškinamos socialinio darbuotojo veiklos galimybės. Literatūros analizė atskleidė, kad socialinės įmonės raida – naujas, netyrinėtas reiškinys Lietuvoje. Darbo teorinėje dalyje apžvelgiama novacijų samprata ir reikšmė užtikrinant žmonių socialinę raidą, pristatoma socialinių įmonių kaip novacijų sąvoka, teisinis reglamentavimas, atskleidžiami socialinio darbuotojo veiklos galimybių šioje srityje teoriniai aspektai. Kokybinio tyrimo fenomenologinė duomenų analizė parodė, kad socialinės įmonės raidos etapuose susiduriama su šiais trikdžiais: teisės aktų vėlavimu, informacijos stoka, didelėmis laiko sąnaudomis steigimo etape, socialinių ��monių įstatymą įgyvendinančių įstaigų darbuotojų kompetencijos ir geranoriškumo stoka. Atskleista, kad atsinaujinusios įmonės veikloje iškyla žmonių išteklių valdymo problemų: sunku rasti norinčių dirbti, sudėtingas darbuotojų adaptacijos periodas. Tyrimo metu išsiaiškinta, kad novacijos idėjos įgyvendinimą skatina noras palengvinti finansinę naštą ir pagerinti materialinę bazę. Dirbdami socialinėje įmonėje tikslinėms grupėms priskiriami asmenys turi galimybę realizuoti save, bendrauti, kelti savivertę, didinti materialinę laisvę, bet tuo pačiu metu pasireiškia netolerancija, stereotipai žmonių su negalia atžvilgiu, savo negalios nepripažinimas. [toliau žr. visą tekstą] / In the work development of social enterprises as inovation is analysed, and possibilities of activity of a social worker are highlighted. Analyses of literature revealed that development of a social enterprise – is a new phenomenon that has never been investigated in Lithuania. In the theoretical part of the work a conception of inovation and its meaning for securing people’s social development, is surveyed, the concept of social enterprises as inovation, juridical regulation, are presented, theoretical aspects of possibilities of a social worker in this sphere are revealed. Phenomenological analyses of data of qualitative research showed, that at the stages of development of a social enterprise one collides with this interference: lateness of juridical acts, lack of information, huge expenditure of time at the stage of establishment, lack of competence and generosity of workers of institutions that implement the law of social enterprises. It was showed that in the activity of a renewed enterprise problems of management of human resources are raised up: it is hard to find people who want to work, a complicated adaptation period for workers. Institutional influences on the adoption and non-adoption of information systems innovations : case evidence from the Taxco Silver Handicraft Sector

This thesis answers the research question: What role do institutions play in the adoption and non-adoption of Information Systems (IS) innovations? In exploring this question, institutional theory is used to develop an interpretation of behaviour by Micro and Small Enterprises (MSE) related to the adoption and non-adoption of IS innovation within the Taxco Silver Handicraft Sector. The research categorised the emergent data into established Mexican institutions, which allowed for the analysis of institutionalised responses to the introduction of new social structures. There is a need to understand behaviour related to adopting IS innovations through the beliefs of local agents. Interpretivist literature was used to explore how the adoption of IS innovations is influenced by the local context. This research developed a theoretical framework that combines Scott’s (2008) three-pillars of institutions (regulative, normative and cultural-cognitive); with the Seo and Creed (2002) framework for exploring the institutionalisation of IS innovations. This theoretical framework allowed for the exploration of the contestation between institutional entrepreneurs (agents advocating the adoption of new social structures) and those resilient to institutional change. This research makes a number of key contributions to the field of study. The development of a new theoretical framework is designed to assist future researchers in exploring the institutionalisation process. The methodological contribution emerges from the demonstrating the value of ethnographic case studies within handicraft sectors in developing economies. The practical contribution of this research lies in increasing our understanding of how and why new social structures are developed.

Work is focused on determination of competitiveness of small and medium enterprises in market area of the Czech republic. It is divided into two parts. The theoretical section is based on explanation of the main issues, competition, small and medium enterprises, inovations. The practical part includes an introduction of three typified companies from small and medium enterprises and their analysis in the area of competitiveness, inovation activities and sustainable development. At the end of the work is an interpretation of the results of analysis and in addition, there is a proposal of precautions, which should lead to the improvement of competitiveness in these companies.

A roda : método de aprendizagem que desafia o individualismo

Esta dissertação versa sobre a importância da roda, denominação atribuída a um grupo de pessoas que pauta suas ações individuais e coletivas em busca de mudanças comportamentais e sociais. Ganham espaço para reflexão, dois gêneros de rodas: o Fórum Social Mundial, ao se converter em espaço de debate das inquietações que afligem a humanidade, com a perspectiva de apontar os caminhos para o seu bem estar social e as Rodas Pedagógicas quando voltadas à promoção de uma aprendizagem significativa, oriunda da interatividade de seus pares, em especial na análise e produção textual. Estes dois gêneros de rodas são estudados a partir da possibilidade de fortalecer os valores humanos e auxiliar na construção de uma sociedade mais justa e cooperativa, menos individualista e competitiva. Nesta perspectiva, as rodas são encaradas como formas de contraposição ao individualismo, àquele que é sinônimo de egoísmo ou egocentrismo. Com relação ao Fórum Social Mundial são destacados os objetivos, bem como a sua importância no contexto global como a maior roda planetária que se estrutura sob o lema "um outro mundo é possível". Nas rodas dedicadas à aprendizagem, aqui denominadas pedagógicas, está descrito o método da roda, fruto de uma prática constante, direcionado à análise e produção textual compartilhada, e que revela a sua importância como forma de aprendizagem significativa. Também são apresentados os resultados obtidos a partir da aplicação do método em uma turma de alunos no ensino superior, partindo de critérios específicos. O método da roda foi submetido a uma avaliação pelos sujeitos que o experimentaram, através de questões que permitem constatar se a técnica aplicada auxilia no ensino e na aprendizagem e contribui para estreitar laços, bem como estruturar uma aprendizagem mais cooperativa e menos competitiva, capaz de provocar mudanças na sociedade em que vivemos. O Fórum Social Mundial e as rodas voltadas ao ensino e aprendizagem; tanto as pequenas quanto as grandes rodas aqui abordadas são consideradas pedagógicas porque ensinam e têm em comum, a cooperação e o desafio de vencer o individualismo que resulta de uma competitividade sem limites advinda da globalização neoliberal ou do triunfo do capitalismo. Quando assim estruturadas se constituem em núcleos fortalecedores das comunidades frente ao individualismo que se observa principalmente na sociedade ocidental, que nega qualquer forma de ética, pois esta pressupõe o outro. O que desponta neste início de século é uma vida comunitária fragilizada e enfraquecida, a qual dá margens à corrupção, à insegurança e ao descontrole social. As rodas aqui descritas se constituem em modelos para enfrentar a desestruturação social e fortalecer as comunidades e o seu conjunto, a sociedade. / This dissertation is about the importance of the circle, which is the name given to a group of persons that base their individual and collective actions in search of behavioral and social changes. Two kinds of circles will be discussed here: the World Social Forum as a discussion space of the concerns that afflict humanity, with the perspective of pointing ways for social well being of the people; and the Pedagogical Circles, when they are used to promote significant learning coming from interactivity among pairs, especially in text production and analysis. These two kinds of circles are studied from the possibility of strengthening human values and to help in the construction of a more just and cooperative society, less individualist and competitive. In this perspective the circles are seen as contraposition ways against individualism, in the sense of selfishness or egocentrism. About the World Social Forum, its objectives will be pointed out as well as its importance in the global context as the biggest world circle based on the slogan another world is possible. About the circles dedicated to learning, called here pedagogical, the circle method which results from constant practice directed to participative text analysis and production and that reveals its importance as a meaningful way of learning will be described. There are also presented the results obtained from using the method with a group of university students, based on specific criteria. The method of the circle was evaluated by the persons that have tried it, through questions that allow observing if the technique helps in teaching and learning and contributes to tighten relationships as well as structuring a more cooperative and less competitive learning able to instigate changes in the society in which we live. The World Social Forum and the circles dedicated to teaching and learning; the small circles as well as the big circles discussed here are considered pedagogical because they teach and they have in common the cooperation and the challenge to overcome individualism that results in a limitless competitiveness that comes from neoliberal globalization or the triumph of capitalism. When they are structured in this way they form strengthening nucleus of the communities in face of the individualism that is observed mainly in the western society, which denies any form of ethics because ethics presupposes the other. What arises in the beginning of this century is a fragile and weakened communitarian life that allows corruption, insecurity and social lack of control. The circles described here constitute models to confront the lack of social arrangement and to strengthen the communities and their whole, the society.

The thesis deals with alternative approaches to education at high schools in the Czech Republic. The starting points of the thesis are mainly the historical context of alternative education and the characteristics of the Czech high schools and their students with a focus on private schools. The main areas of interest are some didactic principles, selected forms and methods of teaching, formative assessment and specific position of a teacher, which are stated as crucial, based on the research findings. The thesis also provides a brief overview of high schools in Prague which are considered innovative. Two such high schools are examined in detail in the empirical survey. Their stories are comprehensively processed using the multiple case study method. Investovanie s využitím venture kapitálu / Venture capital investments

Diploma thesis analyses venture capital, which is part of alternative asset class investment. At the outset, paper very briefly discusses the private equity industry and differences between venture and buyout capital. Followed by a chapter that discusses entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial finance, financing alternatives for new ventures and the importance of venture capital and its impact on new businesses. Next chapter describes problems and risks that venture capital fund and entrepreneurs face after the contract is being signed. The paper also highlights some instruments that can be used against these risks and problems. The biggest part of thesis describes whole venture capital investment cycle from getting money, screening opportunities to valuation and exit of portfolio companies. Lastly the paper analyses venture capital in Central and Eastern Europe region (CEE) and briefly describes venture capital company based in Prague - Credo Ventures and its portfolio companies.
