As inteligências múltiplas na terapia fonoaudiológica de linguagem / The multiple intelligences in the language therapyCamargo, Renata Gomes January 2016 (has links)
The strategies and resources used in speech-language therapy are conducted based on previously objectives and in accordance with patients’ language disorders characteristics. These speech-language strategies and resources can be conducted from the different intelligences frameworks that are established during interventions. In this sense, the present thesis investigates a protocol of speech-language therapy based on the Theory of Multiple Intelligences, in which eight types of intelligences appears as structure of human intellect such as: linguistic, logical-mathematical, kinesthetic-corporal, spatial, musical, naturalistic, interpersonal and intrapersonal. The present work aimed to investigate the access of the multiple intelligences through speech-language therapy in order to develop verbal language (linguistic intelligence). The investigation was followed by a quantitative and qualitative approach. Analysis of content and statistical tests were used to verify the influences of multiple intelligences on the outcomes of the therapies. The sample consisted of 107 patients with language disorders and 62 therapists. Patients were attended at the Speech and Hearing Service of Federal University of Santa Maria. Regarding the characteristics of the patients and the therapists, as well as, the variety of resources and strategies utilized during interventions, it was observed that the discrimination and integration of the eight multiple intelligences in the speech-language therapy has significant implication on levels of linguistic complexity worked and developing communication the patients’.

Previous issue date: 2015-04-09 / The sound and musical education of children aged two and three years of age is a task that
requires more than having a university education, or simply like them. Need observation,
planning and reflection on the part of educators, so that we can assist them in developing their
multiple intelligences, in their cognitive, social and emotional aspects. In this sense, the
question that guided this research was: which processes can be performed to enable teachers
of early childhood education at the School X to develop musical activities aimed at
stimulation in multiple intelligences to children from two to three years? Thus, this
dissertation presents the research conducted through an educational action research with
teachers of early childhood education called the X School in the city of João Pessoa - Paraíba
(Brazil). This intervention aimed to enable teachers of early childhood education to
incorporate, in their teaching practices, activities and reflections on the music and sound
education. From the design of stimulation of multiple intelligences, the American
psychologist Howard Gardner, one could develop a series of actions related to the
development of sound / musical intelligence with the children of classes of Maternalzinho and
Maternal (two and three years, respectively), in interdisciplinary interactions that also aimed
at the integral development of intelligence of children, in its multiple aspects: bodilykinesthetic,
linguistic, logical-mathematical, spatial awareness, interpersonal, intrapersonal
and naturalist. Research at School X was performed between January and October 2014, in
three stages: diagnostic observation (January and February), intervention action (March-June)
and return to the field (October). The diagnostic observation phase aimed to know the daily
life of the School X, as well as the pedagogical practices of teachers with children. Have the
intervention phase was performed in a collaborative process with the teachers A, B and the
auxiliary A, consisting of a change of planning, through a set of planned actions and moments
of reflection. This was followed by the implementation of the planned action and the
observation of the change process. During this step, several reflections on these processes and
their consequences were performed, to go to redesign and start a new cycle. To assist the
production of research data, were used as tools to direct observation, the composition of a
field diary and the interview. The third time was the return to the field to check the effects of
the training process on the practices of teachers, checking also this process contributed to the
reflective action of teachers in their teaching practices - especially the educational-musical. At
this stage, there has been the difficulty of teachers to maintain, given the multiple demands of
everyday school life, cooperative teaching, reflective action and musical practices developed
together during the intervention phase. Thus, there was a larger distance between the
pedagogical discourse of School X - based on constructivist and artistic processes - and their
practice in early childhood education - with few reflective attitudes on the part of teachers,
who ended up falling into play already adopted practices or established by the pedagogical
coordination.
especialmente as educativo-musicais.

Previous issue date: 2010-09-14 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / The aim is to verify how the Virtual Environment for Learning (VEL), fulfilled in the
Edulivre Project scope, enhances the development of multiple intelligences in
children from 7 to 9 years old. The VEL was developed by the Laboratory of Digital
Video Applications of the Federal University of Paraíba in partnership with two
schools in João Pessoa, PB. This Project intends to develop a VEL for learners of the
first elementary school year to take part in the cyberspace as micro-actors of the new
cognitive ecology which encompasses them, therefore, allowing these learners the
chance to appropriate new multi-mediatic and multi-sensorial languages as well as
the original forms to communicate via digital technologies and their information and
communication devices. The VEL conception had as fundamentals Jean Piaget´s
interactionist ideas ones widened by means of the new scientific contributions
proposed in the framework of Howard Gardner s multiple intelligences. As to the
methodology, it was used the research-action through a participative and
interventional experience involving the groups of students, teachers, software
programmers and designers. It was part of an open, free, fruitful and private context
which is important for the authorship of hypermedia materials and for the
implementation of a computational model with tools and functionalities suitable for
both the intellectual profile of the inter-agents and the cultural context of the schools.
These are essential characteristics to make the VEL a rich, useful and effective
pedagogical tool in order to enhance the multiple intelligences of the seven to nine
year old learners. The students´ and teachers´ group produced 159 contents and
they implemented functionalities, such as: comments, chat, video sharing, digital
ombudsperson and tool for evaluating the learners´ intellectual profile. The
accomplished analysis concerning the contents, tools and functionalities identified,
potentially, several combinations involving the following intelligences: the linguistic,
the musical-rhythmic, the logic-mathematical, the spatial, the bodily-kinesthetic, the
intrapersonal, the interpersonal and the naturalistic. With reference to the teachers´
participation in the process of digital technologies production, new logics,
methodologies and aesthetic, pedagogical and communicational possibilities were
offered to them. These emerged as an agenda of changes of their communicational
praxis emphasizing competences not only for the operational domain of technologies,
but also for the capacity of their use in learning contexts requiring from the teachers
both a technical and a technical-pedagogical formation. In relation to the computing
science bachelors, besides the linguistic, logical-mathematical and spatial capacities
which are usually highlighted in their formation, their personal intelligences valued the
environment calling their attention for the human dimension of their mission.
Furthermore, this displaced the focus on the object and put it on the project helping
to build an ergonomic, functional and human relationship among the learners. In this
way, the computers pointed out their humanistic formation and prepared these
experts to develop their personal abilities aiming to act not only as emotionally
competent professionals but enabled them to understand the conditions of their work
in the world and in society.
A concepção do AVA teve
O grupo
combinações que envolvem as seguintes inteligências: a linguística, a musical, a
lógica-matemática, a espacial, a corporal-cinestésica, a intrapessoal, a interpessoal
e a naturalista.

Previous issue date: 2014-04-14 / Down syndrome is a genetic abnormality that affects a significant portion of the population. A
child with Down syndrome (CDS) has several limitations and difficulties which occur in
motor development, cognitive development and communication at different levels, especially
with regard to speech. Helping a CDS to win his place in society will stimulate their
satisfaction for somehow feeling to be useful, further expanding their coexistence. Children
with this syndrome may perform better when those around them recognize that they have
limitations, but also potential and abilities. This research deals with the use of Therapeutic
Choir with CDS. Had become the main goal is to understand the effects that music therapy,
through Therapeutic Choir, can bring in order to improve the performance of a CDS,
according to the Theory of Multiple Intelligences proposed by Gardner. This is a qualitative
research and it was based on Existential Phenomenology. Data collecting was performed at
Down Association of Goiás (ASDOWN). The work was initially conducted with a group of
six participants in the beginning and with four children in the end over a four months period,
with a weekly frequency and duration of fifty minutes therapy session. Data collecting
involved music therapy dossiers, audio and video recordings of cases, descriptive reports,
observations of the participants behavior, interviews with those responsible for the CDS and
professionals who have worked directly with some children, whether in a therapeutic or
education environment. The analysis of all qualitative data was performed with the support of
the theoretical review, which included Music Therapy, Therapeutic Choir and Multiple
Intelligences. At the end of the music therapy process, it was found an increase of specifics
skills in Multiple Intelligences, mainly in the following kinesthetic intelligences-body,
linguistic, musical, inter- and intrapersonal, because the through the creative re-experiences,
experiments and amenable and additional activities can stimulate the CDS development
providing progress in the acquisitions processes.
Ajudar a CSD a
A presente pesquisa trata

A TEORIA DAS INTELIGÊNCIAS MÚLTIPLAS E SUA RELAÇÃO COM O PROCESSO DE ENSINO E APRENDIZADO DO DESENHO: UM ESTUDO COM ADOLESCENTES / THE MULPLY INTELIGENCE THEORY AND ITS RELATION TO THE TEACHING PROCESS AND THE DRAW´S LEARNING: AN ADOLESCENT STUDY CASEFernandes, Márcia Moreno 29 August 2005 (has links)
This reasearch, along the lines on Education end Arts, had as its main goal to analyze and to verify the development of the Multiple Intelligences of Howard Gardner through the Observational Drawing. Along these lines, we have chosen
three particular Multiple Intelligences (Spatial, Cinestesic-corporal and Personal - intra and interpersonal), among the eight available intelligences. The reason for selecting them is that they are more appropriated in Arts teaching. The research was carried out considering undergraduate students doing the first grade on the Design Faculty in a private university, located in the city of Xanxerê (SC). The qualitative
research was used as the main tool of investigation, supported by school etnography, which relied on active observation, field diary and documental analysis. The data
were collected using the drawings elaborated by the students after each proposal presented by the researcher, as well as photos and notes taken by the researcher and students during the meetings. The results are consistent with the initial expectations, showing the role-played by the drawing in developing the multiple intelligences and presenting the distinct processes taken into account to amplify the personal intelligences, Cinestesic-corporal and spatial.

Expanding music teachers’ perceptions of learning strategies in the 21st centuryLe Roux, Albertha Elizabeth 09 October 2010 (has links)
This study was prompted by the need the author experienced for the rethinking of many practices in music teaching and her interest in achieving transformation in individual music teaching and learning. An eclectic approach was adopted for the research. Despite much existing ‘fuzzy’ terminology, ‘broader’ or ‘less fixed’ meanings were sought of terms including Holism, intelligence, learning, Modernism, perception, personality, Postmodernism, teaching, temperament and whole-brain learning. The reader is presented with a palette of ideas, open for further exploration, in order to stimulate creativity and different viewpoints in music teaching and learning. The study has a student-centred approach, taking into account different types of learners and how to adapt teaching styles to connect with students in their learning environment. Challenges teachers may encounter are how the meanings of many terms relate with music teaching practice, themselves and their pupils. The research explores the interaction and relation of terms with one another in order to reconsider and expand teaching methods. Inter, intra and multidisciplinary aspects of teaching are touched upon as being valuable in cutting across several traditional fields of study and also referring to knowledge seen as a coherent whole within one subject area. Experiences of ‘flow’ and transformative learning are explored in order to challenge students’ and teachers’ ‘fixed’ thinking methods. The whole-brain model is considered where the brain is seen in four quadrants, each quadrant displaying distinctive strengths of value in music teaching. The importance of Emotional Intelligence in developing other intelligences is investigated and its link with Inter and Intrapersonal Intelligences in order to equip teachers to connect effectively with pupils in a learning context. There is no “one size fits all” teaching strategy, learning style or framework that can apply to the myriad needs of individual music teachers and pupils. The research, however, demonstrates the importance for music teachers to be receptive in enlarging their thinking patterns. In so doing a path can be set for shifting focus in teaching strategies to a ‘moving forward’ ideal in perception and understanding of teaching and learning in the 21st century. / Thesis (DMus)--University of Pretoria, 2010. / Music / unrestricted

From the mid 90's on, studies in Applied Linguistics (AL) have been carried out investigating questions related to preservice teacher education. They have revealed lack of articulation between theory and practice, lack of comprehensive knowledge of the content to be taught and lack of pedagogical education. Most of these investigations have shown how underdeveloped the teaching competences (Almeida Filho, 1998) are. Researchers have pointed out some possible ways to develop more effective courses in language teacher education, stimulating the different competences. In agreement with these suggestions, the Brazilian Ministry of Education has established characteristics for the reflexive capacity, knowing how to work in interdisciplinary groups through projects. These characteristics are related to the concept of intelligence described by Gardner (1983) in the theory of Multiple Intelligences. The study reported here has evaluated the results of using this theory as a guideline in developing a course in a language teacher education program (LTEP). This qualitative and interpretative research, in an ethnographic basis, was carried out in a public federal LTEP. In the course used for this work (sixth period in a 10-period program), two paradigms were also adopted: the reflexivist of teachers¿ education and the communicative of language teaching, in this case, English as a foreign language (FL). It was believed that by choosing the communicative approach we would enable the preservice teachers to get access not only to the theory related to the topic but also to the experience of learning language through it, having models of how to teach using this approach in their future contexts. In this study, the CA was developed through projects designed by the preservice teachers. Taking the results of these articulations, it was also the purpose of this study to evaluate in which way these theories could be organized in a macro-structure model and which roles they could play to help the teacher educators in their practice. The instruments used to data collect and analysis were: diagnostic questionnaire, virtual and classroom interaction, tests and projects made by the preservice teachers as well as recorded classes, peer, self and course evaluations and field notes. The results demonstrate that there is compatibility among the theory of MI, the paradigm of reflexive teaching education and the communicative approach of teaching a foreign language through projects, creating the necessary basis to develop the teaching competences. The target language was used contextualized and meaningfully in all interactions what has resulted in a better linguistic-communicative competence. The preservice teachers could also develop their intra and interpersonal intelligences, fundamental to the classroom routine. The projects designed by the preservice teachers reveal how they are prepared to suggest changes and create new opportunities of learning English in elementary and secondary schools. Besides, this study proposes an organized table among specific abilities related to the eight intelligences that once stimulated could develop the teaching competences.
