Zvědavá kamera očima jejích tvůrců / Curious camera through the eyes of its producers

The thesis explores certain aspects of Zvědavá kamera, a Czechoslovak television journal that belonged among the most progressive pieces of Czechoslovak television journalism in 60-ties. The thesis is based on interviews with 3 of the still living makers of the journal: Otka Bednářová, Vladimír Branislav, and Jaromír Kincl. Based on their testimony, contemporary documents, and available television archive material the main question is being answered as to why Zvědavá kamera was allowed to exist for such a long time despite being politically controversial and why the makers did not face repression much earlier. The most substantial episodes of the journal are being explored in detail, among all Volba povolání (The Choice of Profession) by Otka Bednářová, Spor (Dispute) and Porota (Jury) by Vladimír Branislav and Jaromír Kincl. Based on the presented facts approaches are analyzed the makers took in order to make relatively free television journalism possible within the limits imposed on them by the totalitarian regime.

This master's thesis deals with design and implementation of system for securing and monitoring objects. The whole system is serving as an application getaway between typical TCP/IP network and heterogeneous network containing different end devices such as security cameras, microphones and some sensors (e.g. for temperature measurement). In case of detected event, the notification is created, recorded and the user is informed via administrative front-end. System can be managed from remote location and data from devices can be shown by web interface. Theoretical part of this project concerns with the analysis of different types of connecting devices and sensors and the possibilities of their usage for the monitoring systems along with description of communications protocols for each end device. The next part deals with the cameras interfaces, content analysis and connectivity with central server. Practical part describes methods and techniques used for implementation of system.

This thesis deals with problematics of PTZ-camera re-calibration during movement. The objective of this work is to keep the camera in calibration mode from default status when the known positions of Vanishing Points are in the image. With their use during movement, which is changing with motion of the camera, their positions are kept with help of two implemented methods. The first method is based on the principle of homography, the second on the principle of cross ratio. The results show that both of these methods work especially for keeping the positions of First Vanishing Points. In the case of the Second Vanishing Points there appear various problems and the results are often quite inaccurate.

Betesskador på skog kostar både skogsägare och industri stora summor pengar. Ett sätt att minska betesskador kan vara bättre kontroll över populationsstorleken av klövvilt. I Sverige används flera olika etablerade viltinventeringsmetoder. Svagheten är att de baseras på trender, index och avskjutningar mer än att få fram en siffra på antalet djur. En tillförlitlig inventeringsmetod är av stor vikt som beslutsunderlag till förvaltningsplaner. Drönare är ett obemannat luftfartyg som kan utrustas med olika kameror och sensorer. Tidigare fältstudier har visat att värme från vilt kan plockas upp av en drönare utrustad med termisk kamera. Svårigheten har varit att få tillförlitlighet vid artbestämning av vilt med enbart termiska kamera. I denna studie utfördes en viltinventering av ett 506 ha stort område norr om Ljungby i Kronobergs län under januari 2020. Med hjälp av en drönare utrustad med både termisk och RGB kamera utfördes en totalinventering av området. Resultatet visar att kombinationen av både termisk och RGB kamera ökar tillförlitligheten vid artbestämning av vilt. Metodens svagheter är täta krontak av gran, gällande regelverk från transportstyrelsen samt drönarens begränsande batterikapacitet. Slutsatsen är att vilt säkrare kan identifieras och artbestämmas med kombinationen av termisk- och RGB kamera jämfört med enbart termisk kamera men att metoden behöver vidareutvecklas.

General characteristic of the dissertation Problem of the work. With a rapid development of industrialisation and urbanisation, the environmental pollution has greatly increased. Upon automating the manufacturing industry and agriculture, with traffic flows in towns and residential areas increasing and household equipment becoming more modern, the number of acoustic discomfort zones is rapidly growing. People are exposed to noise not only at workplaces abut also on the streets and at home. As maintained by doctors, noise reduces immunity of the organism and, as a source of chronic stress, has an adverse effect on the central nervous system and causes various health disorders. Even a relatively low noise of 60–70 dB causes a headache, dizziness, squeak in the ears, insomnia, and worsens memory, attention and orientation. A noisy environment reduces working efficiency, reaction speed, movement coordination and increases nervous strain and a risk of traumas. The noise dispersed by stationary sources may be reduced by replacing components with less sounding ones, applying rubber, plastic or other materials on the surface of installations. If it is impossible to reduce noise in the place of its generation, hoods are fitted out, premises are insulated and noise suppressing systems are used (noise reducing barriers, volumetric noise absorbers, wall insulation with noise-proof materials). Šiandieniniame gyvenime, mechanizavus pramonės ir žemės ūkio gamybą, didėjant transporto srautams miestuose ir gyvenvietėse, modernėjant buitinei technikai, sparčiai plečiasi padidinto triukšmo zonos. Medikai teigia, kad triukšmas mažina organizmo imuninį atsparumą ir įspėja, kad triukšmas, kaip lėtinis streso šaltinis, veikia centrinę nervų sistemą ir kelia įvairių sveikatos sutrikimų. Net palyginus nestiprus 60 – 70 dB triukšmas kelia galvos skausmus, nemigą, pablogėja atmintis, dėmesys, darbingumas. Stacionarių šaltinių skleidžiamas triukšmas sumažinamas keičiant detales keičiant, padengiant įrenginių paviršių guma, plastmase ir kt. Jeigu neįmanoma sumažinti triukšmo ten, kur jis kyla, įrengiami gaubtai, izoliuojamos patalpos, bei taikomos garsą slopinančios sistemos (triukšmą mažinantys barjerai, tūriniai garso sugėrikliai, sienos dengiamos garsą izoliuojančia medžiaga). Transporto keliamo triukšmą sklaidą mažina triukšmo slopinimo sienelės, želdiniai, pastatai. Taip pat veiksmingi būdai yra transporto greičio apribojimas, kelių dangos paviršiaus keitimas, eismo ribojimas ir reguliavimas. Inžineriniai sprendimai būna pigesni, jei įvertinami architektūrinio planavimo stadijoje. Nagrinėjant triukšmo mažinimo priemonių bei metodų įgyvendinimo galimybę, ypač svarbus skaitinis triukšmo sklaidos modeliavimas. Darbo aktualumas. Įvairūs technologiniai procesai kelia triukšmą. Disertacijoje nagrinėjamas triukšmo šaltinių keliamo triukšmo sklidimas į aplinką bei ieškoma mažinimo priemonių jam slopinti. Disertacijos tikslas – įver-tinti stacionarių ir mobilių šaltinių keliamo triukšmo sklaidą aplinkoje ir numatyti efektyvias priemones jai mažinti, naudojant triukšmo slopinimo kamerą, o prie-monių efektyvumą įvertinti modeliuojant. Šiame darbe sprendžiami keli pagrindiniai uždaviniai: sukurti ir įrengti triukšmo slopinimo kamerą; nustatyti triukšmo sklaidą, esant skirtingiems mobi-liems ir stacionariems triukšmo šaltiniams; numatyti bei modeliavimo būdu įver-tinti priemones triukšmui slopinti. Disertaciją sudaro įvadas, penki skyriai, rezultatų apibendrinimas, naudotos literatūros ir autoriaus publikacijų disertacijos tema sąrašai. Įvadiniame skyriuje aptariama tiriamoji problema, darbo aktualumas, apra-šomas tyrimų objektas, formuluojamas darbo tikslas bei uždaviniai, aprašoma tyrimų metodika, darbo mokslinis naujumas, darbo rezultatų praktinė reikšmė, ginamieji teiginiai. Systém pro 3D lokalizaci zdrojů gamma záření Comptonovou kamerou založenou na detektorech Timepix3 / A system for 3D localization of gamma sources using Timepix3-based Compton cameras

Compton cameras localize γ-ray sources in 3D space by observing evidence of Compton scattering with detectors sensitive to ionizing radiation. This thesis proposes a software system for operating a novel Compton camera device comprised of Timepix3 detectors and Katherine readouts. To communicate with readouts using UDP-based protocol, a dedicated hardware library was developed. The presented software can successfully control the acquisition of multiple Timepix3 detectors and simultaneously process their measurements in a real-time setting. To recognize instances of Compton scattering among observed interactions, a chain of algorithms is applied with explicit consideration for a possibly high volume of measured information. Unlike alternate approaches, the presented work uses a recently published charge drift time model to improve its spatial resolution. In order to achieve localization of γ-ray sources, the software performs conical back projection into a discretized cuboid volume. Results of randomized evaluation with simulated data indicate that the presented implementation is correct and constitutes a viable method of γ-ray source localization in 3D space.
