Gymnasieelevers kognitiva världsbild : En kvalitativ studie som synliggör gymnasieelevers kognitiva världskarta utifrån rådande eller historiska konflikter

Ernberg, Petter January 2016 (has links)

Does the Swedish school reach the goals for the teaching in geography? A small study of two schools in Linköping.

Norell, Arvid January 2002 (has links)

Glupförekomster i Uppsalaområdet

Hagström, Per January 2012 (has links)
One special feature in the Swedish nature, mainly in the county of Uppland is one distinctive kind of dip, which can be distinguished from its fast and unaccounted drainage. These dips are called “glupar” and can mainly be found in coarse-grained pebbled moraine under the highest shoreline (HK). During spring, and particularly when snowmelting occur, the wateramliptude fluctuates a lot until late summer or the beginning of fall comes; these dips are then often almost fully drained. During winter however, the waterlevel stands high. Therefore, “glupar” can for some time be falsely interpreted as a small pond. Areas around Jumkil just outside Uppsala are charaterized for their large amount of these kinds of dips. The origin of “glupar” is poorly studied or described through the literature, which to a large extent is the main reason for this study.

Åhrberg, Lars January 2017 (has links)
Early in the bachelor’s degree program in Geography, the students learn that maps should be seen as a subjective visualization of the world, rather than the actual world itself. Although this is essential forfurther analysis, especially in Geography, cartographers often commit the crime of not arguing for their choice of what is being showed; what colours are being used; what objects represents reality and why they have characterized and regionalized the areas as they have. In the studies of Regional Geography one could expect that there are discussions about this issue, since the aim of the disciplineis to split the world into smaller regions. This is especially important when it comes to studies of Africa, since it historically has been a continent that has endured regionalizations with great consequences for the understanding of its geography, from the age of colonialism to today. Therefore, this thesis examined the regionalization of Africa in textbooks used in Regional Geography, to study how Africa is regionalized today and what the motives are for these regions. The result showed that regionalizations of Africa are often made by ill-based assumptions of the continent’s geography, much like those from the colonial period. But today there is a growing focuson world religion and especially Islam, in the cartographers’ search for regions and their characteristics. Although the proportion of Christians or Muslims in different regions are true, these features often make a weak base for further geographical analysis. This is particularly troublesome when none of the books have discussions of the map as the author’s subjective view of the world. Thus, these textbooks could be used as a tool for political opinion, which should be taken into accountin the education of new geographers.

Realizace vybraných výpočtů pomocí grafických karet / The realization of selected mathematical computations using graphical cards.

Schreiber, Petr January 2010 (has links)
This work discusses available approaches for programming graphic hardware as a platform for executing parallel calculations. Text of the work is focused on new OpenCL technology, which allows executing the same high level code for taking control of full potential of multicore CPUs and GPUs, without explicit bindings to hardware vendor or operating system. Author provides the reader with libraries and tools based on OpenCL, along with practical examples and own observations about the current state of mentioned technology.
