Ein Beitrag zur spurtreuen Führung n-gliedriger mehrachsgelenkter Fahrzeuge / Control Design for Train-Like Guidance of Multiple Articulated Vehicles

Wagner, Sebastian 19 May 2010 (has links) (PDF)

Personal digital archives : preservation of documents, preservation of self

Kim, Sarah 04 September 2013 (has links)
This dissertation explores personal digital archiving practices, particularly in relation to the construction of self. Personal digital archiving is an everyday practice through which people manage and preserve digital documents that have particular meanings to them. This process involves a constant value assignment that is intertwined with the recollection of life events. In-depth case studies were used to gain a holistic understanding as close to research participants’ perspectives as possible. Semi-structured narrative interviews were conducted with 23 individuals from various backgrounds. The results are discussed in relation to emotions and self-evaluation. Personal digital archiving as a process, directly or indirectly, involves a self-enhancement and self-verification which is an integral part of self-confirmation. This study contributes to the in-depth observation of everyday record-keeping in a digital environment, particularly providing interpretive accounts of individual differences and why people do things in a certain way. / text

Fisiologia e conservação pós-colheita de flores cortadas de gérbera /

Durigan, Maria Fernanda Berlingieri. January 2009 (has links)
No segundo experimento foram utilizadas, durante o armazenamento a 20°C e 70% UR, as soluções: 1) Água destilada; 2) Ácido cítrico a 64 g.L-1; 3) Cloro a 25 mg.L-1 4) Cloro a 50 mg.L-1 5) 8-HQC a 25 mg.L- 1 e 6) 8-HQC a 50 mg.L-1. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: Gerbera jamesonii belongs to the Compositae family. The inflorescence, with diameter of 8 - 14 cm, is a capitulum with ligules with vivid color organized around de center, that contain flower buds, which can be in a variety of colors. This colorful flower is supported by a long stem, without leaves. Nowadays it is one of the ten most commercialized flowers in Brazil and is one of the three main cut flowers. The use of keeping-quality solutions, pulsing treatments and low temperature during the vase life seeks to prolong vase life and to maintain the quality of cut flowers. In this context, this research was conducted, at FCAV-UNESP, Jaboticabal, SP, Brazil, to evaluate the effects of several handling techniques on postharvest physiology gerbera cut flowers. The experiments followed complete randomized design, in factorial arrangement. On the first one, the inflorescences remained in the following solutions: 1) Distilled water; 2) Chlorine at 100 mg.L-1; 3) 8-hydroxyquinolin (8-HQC) at 100 mg.L-1; 4) 8-HQC at 200 mg.L-1; and 5) 8-HQC at 400 mg.L-1, which the stems remained in environmental conditions (20°C; 70% RH). On this experiment, it was possible to observe the damage caused by the treatments using chlorine at 100 mg.L-1 and high dosage of 8-HQC. The good quality where kept by using 8-HQC at 200 mg.L-1 and the average longevity of the experiment was 12 days. On the second experiment, the gerberas remained, during storage, in the following solutions: 1) Distilled water; 2) Citric acid at 64 g.L-1; 3) Chlorine at 25 mg.L-14) Chlorine at 50 mg.L-1; 5) 8-HQC at 25 mg.L-1 ; and 6) 8-HQC at 50 mg.L-1. With the results it was possible to verify the low efficiency of the citric acid at the used concentration and the lower damage by lower concentrations of chlorine and 8-HQC than the usually recommended, which kept the good quality of the flowers for... CHUDÁČKOVÁ, Barbora January 2009 (has links)
The aim of this work is to analyze individual malt technologies according to their use for beverages storing in Elko limited warehouse, then suggesting optimal alternative in terms of time and cost demands of establishing and running the warehouse. The main factor when choosing optimum in-store technology and service means is the fact, that Elko company stores a high turnover ratio material, which is necessary to complete for almost every order. For this reason, the warehouse either has to have a room sufficiently big for completing orders, or an option of completing the orders right in the store core. Sub-objectives were to prepare the legislative framework of the work, to assess the processes in the enterprise, assess and propose improvements to the stock.

Records management in Friends Church (Quakers) in Kenya

Matasio, Jane Francisca 08 1900 (has links)
This study focused on records management in churches, particularly the Friends Church (Quakers) in Kenya. The study sought to find out the record types and formats created or received, establish records management systems currently being used, investigate the challenges faced in managing the records, and assess the status quo in records management as well as recommend possible solutions for the Friends Church in Kenya. Both qualitative and quantitative were used to collect data from the field. Through interviews, data was collected from pastors, church administrators, and church members. Exploratory research design was adopted in conducting in-depth interviews among the participants in order to understand records management practices in the Friends Church in Kenya and provide recommendations for improvement. Purposive sampling technique was adopted to select a sample size of 24 participants who included individuals with relevant information about records management in the Friends Church in Kenya. The response rate for this study was 100 percent. The study discovered that records created or received by the Friends Church in Kenya were not properly managed. This was due to lack of an electronic system of records management, inadequate qualified personnel to manage records, inaccessible records when needed, lack of fire protected cabinets, poor leadership, among others. These culminated to time wastage in churches, conflicts, overspending on various church activities, unproductivity, loss of file(s) that contain vital information, poor organization and culture, and some committed church members left the church. The Study concluded that for the Friends Church to achieve operational efficiency, it is important that the church leadership establish records management offices that are equipped with requisite resources to effectively manage paper based records and electronic records. / Information Science / M. Impact of Cleint Record Keeping on the Legal Profession in South Africa

Frans, Cameron Benjamin January 2017 (has links)
Magister Legum - LLM (Criminal Justice and Procedure) / The combating of money laundering has become crucial since it has escalated from a domestic to an international problem and vice versa. South Africa, in an attempt to combat money laundering has enacted anti-money laundering (AML) and anti-terrorism legislation. The legislation consists of the Prevention of Organised Crime Act 121 of 1998 (POCA); the Financial Intelligence Centre Act 38 of 2001 (FICA); and the Protection of Constitutional Democracy against Terrorist and Related Activities Act 33 of 2004 (POCDATARA). In essence POCA and POCDATARA criminalise money laundering and terrorist financing. FICA requires certain professions, such as the legal profession to maintain specific controls. Such controls include AML measures, combating the financing of terrorism (CFT) and also require the keeping of confidential client records, the filing of suspicious transaction reports (STR's) and certain cash transaction reports (CTR's).

Fencl, Ivan January 2018 (has links)
Maintaining the peace and security by regional arrangements in Africa (focusing on peace-keeping operations) Abstract The present thesis focuses on the issue of peace-keeping operations maintained by the regional and sub-regional organizations in Africa, namely African Union and ECOWAS. The main statement of the thesis is the following: The United Nations is unable to react effectively to threats to international peace and security, especially in cases of mass violations of human rights in intrastate conflicts, that have severe impact on particular region including refugee crisis or spreading the conflict to other states of the region. In the thesis, particular instruments of the above-mentioned international organizations, that create the framework for operations for maintaining peace and security in the region, are described. Attention is also paid to the relevant bodies of the African union and ECOWAS such as Peace and security council of the AU or African standby force. The thesis elaborates on problematic or controversial issues from international law perspective. In the first place, the concept of humanitarian intervention and related concept of responsibility to protect is underlined. It is demonstrated that African Union and ECOWAS have significant contribution to these concepts when implementing...
