Uberwindung der Milieufixierung in Freien evangelischen Gemeinden in Deutschland: ein vergleich aktueller ekklesiologischer Entwurfe / Breaking through the fixation of the social milieu of free evangelical churches in Germany: a comparison of current ecclesiological modelsEndlich, Markus January 2020 (has links)
gezogen. / The study discusses the milieu fixation found in the Free Evangelical Churches in Germany, the
potential internal and external causes of it and asks how milieu fixation might be overcome by current
oikodomic strategies. The effects of milieu fixation are evaluated by looking at membership
development, slow congregation growth owing to lower levels of conversion, and the reasons for
stagnation and decline in congregations. Thereafter the history of specific ecclesiological and
organisational structures of Free Evangelical congregations (FeG), as well as the social changes in
German society in recent decades, are examined and analysed. A specific focus is placed on
identifying possible causes leading to the formation of milieus. The main part of the study consists of
a systematic analysis and comparison of five oikodomic models applied in the Federation FeG,
together with a comparison of potential models for reversing milieu fixation. Finally, six propositions
are laid out to draw a possible conclusion for practically building up the church in the Federation of
Free Evangelical Churches.
Philosophy, Practical and Systematic Theology / M. Th. (Practical Theology)

The challenges experienced by white teachers in the transition to democracy / Uitdagings wat deur wit onderwysers in die oorgang na demokrasie ervaar word / Imingeni ejongene nootitshala abamhlophe kwixesha lenguqu yedemokhrasiLosch, Juanita Judith 11 1900 (has links)
Abstracts in English, Afrikaans and Xhosa / This research aimed at investigating the challenges white teachers face in the socialisation of diverse learners in a former Model C school in the northern suburbs of Cape Town. The research involved a literature review conceptualising democracy, human rights, diversity, equality and socialisation, in addition to the concepts of white fragility and the theoretical perspective of Bourdieu’s ‘habitus’. The empirical investigation consisted of interviews to gather data. The findings revealed the perspectives of the teachers and their understanding of the socialisation of diverse learners in a democracy. Based on these findings, recommendations were made for the school and the Department of Basic Education to develop a system to incorporate in schools, in order to enhance socialisation and the transformation of former Model C schools.
As the title states, this study was focused on the challenges white teachers experience relating to the transition to democracy. The context of a former Model C school is a complex scenario, where the values and norms of a dominant culture have formed, and continue to form, a critical part of the school climate and culture. The research findings revealed that since the transformation process started in 1994, ‘ex-Model C’ schools have assumed different characteristics and encountered challenges depending on their demographical location. Teachers need to address both social and educational aims, especially as the findings suggest that the schools, and particularly the teachers, are unclear about how diversity contributes to norms and values. This reflects in the tendency to remain focused on a dominant white culture, with which the teachers identify as ‘normal’.
Olu phando lujolise ekuphandeni imingeni ejongene nootitshala abamhlophe ekuhlanganiseni ngokwezentlalo abafundi beentlanga ezahlukeneyo kwisikolo esasifudula siyiModel C kumahlomela edolophu asemantla esixeko saseKapa. Uphando lwenza uphononongo loluncwadi oluchaza ngedemokhrasi, amalungelo oluntu, ukungafani, ulingano noqheliso lwezentlalo, kwakunye nobuthathaka babamhlophe neenkalo zokucinga ngokwethiyori ka Bourdieu ekuthiwa yi’habitus’. Uphando olusekelwe kubungqina baquka iindliwano ndlebe ekuqikeleleni idatha. Okufunyanisiweyo kwadiza iimbono zootitshala nendlela abaluqonda ngayo uqheliso lwezentlalo lwabafundi abangafaniyo kwimeko yedemokhrasi. Okufunyanisiweyo kwakhokelela ekwenziweni kweengcebiso kwisikolo nakweSebe Lemfundo Esisiseko ukuba kuphuhliswe inkqubo yokubandakanya ezikolweni, ngenjongo yokukhulisa uqheliso lwezentlalo nenguqu yezikolo ezazifudula ziziModel C.
Njengoko nesihloko sisitsho, esi sifundo sagxininisa kwimingeni ejongene nootitshala kwixesha lenguqu eya kwidemokhrasi. Imeko yesikolo esasifudula siyiModel C yimeko enzima, apho iinqobo zokucinga nezithethe zenkcubeko eyongameleyo zibumbe, kwaye zisaqhuba ukubumba inxalenye emandundu yesimo sentlalo nenkcubeko yesikolo. Okufunyaniswe kuphando kwadiza ukuba okoko kwaqala inkqubo yenguqu ngowe-1994, izikolo ezazifudula ziziiModel C zaba neempawu ezahlukileyo kwaye zajongana nemingeni ngokuxhomekeke kwiindawo ezimi kuzo. Ootitshala badinga ukuhlangabeza iinjongo zentlalo nemfundo, ngakumbi, ngokokutsho kophando, izikolo, ngakumbi ootitshala, bengacacelwanga kukuba ukungafani kuncedisa njani kwiinqobo zokucinga nezithethe. Oku kubonakala kumkhwa wokungagungqi kwinkcubeko yabamhlophe neyongameleyo, le ootitshala bayithatha ngokuba ‘yeyesiqhelo’. / Educational Studies / M. Ed. (Socio-Education)

Managing mobile learning in a higher education environment / Olivier V.Olivier, Vanessa January 2011 (has links)
The aim of this study is to conduct a thorough theoretical study on mobile learning (mlearning)
in order to achieve the primary objective of the study which is to develop a general
framework to implement and manage mobile technologies in a higher education
environment.
The focus of the literature study was to research the state of mobile technologies and their
relevance to teaching and learning. The literature study investigate the implications of mobile
technologies for students, lecturers and thus for the institution and provided an overview of
frameworks found in literature with the emphasis on the management of m–learning within
the higher education institution.
M–learning is part of a new mobile conception of society, with the mobility of the
technologies impacting on the mobility of the students, the lecturers and ultimately on the
mobility of higher education. Literature suggests that, while m–learning is proving to be
innovative, the factors that most strongly impact on the ultimate success or failure of mlearning
will depend on human factors, the balancing of technological ideals and
pedagogical imperatives, and the successful management of the interface between human
educational systems and technology systems. The proposed general framework focuses
on addressing key issues related to m–learning from the perspective of the student, the
lecturer and thus the institution. In order to remain competitive higher education needs to be
diligent in maintaining the complex technology infrastructure that supports a thriving
mobile culture that will meet and exceed the expectations of both lecturers and students.
The empirical research conducted had as objectives to investigate the mobile technology
assets of respondents with regard to the hardware and the software that they own, the mobile technology actions of respondents in regard to what they do with the mobile
technology that they own and to investigate the respondent's attitude towards mobile
technologies. A survey was designed and distributed to a sampling of the academic staff
and students of the North–West University (NWU) in South Africa, specifically the
Potchefstroom Campus.
There is ample proof from the empirical study that there is a gap with regard to the level of
accessibility, usage, and attitude with regards to the different interest groups in the higher
education environment. Higher education institutions should invest in investigating these
gaps further and in leveraging off the benefits of the effective management of these
technologies to improve teaching and learning.
The final chapter concludes with a summary of the secondary objectives researched in the
literature (Chapter two) and empirical research (Chapter three) chapters in order to support
recommendations towards the primary objective of this study. The rapid pace of adoption
and advancement of mobile technologies creates opportunities for new and innovative
services provided through such mobile devices. Higher education finds itself in the early
innings of the mobile Internet pulling both lecturers and students towards the same place:
smaller, faster, cheaper devices working together in a web of connectivity.
Recommendations were made in this final chapter on how higher education institutions can
leverage the benefits of the effective management of mobile technologies to improve
teaching and learning. M–learning has the potential to increase the capacity of higher
education through improving efficiency and productivity of teaching and learning. Mlearning
could address challenges related to quality of teaching such as continuous
professional training, lifelong upgrading, connecting with academics worldwide and
communicating effectively with students. Higher education is discovering the potential of mlearning
to promote student engagement and improving the quality of learning.
Management of higher education institutions and systems, management of policymaking
including storage and analysis of data, construction and assessment of policy scenarios, and
tracer studies or academic tracking systems can be improved through the use of m–learning.
Mobile technologies will continue to increasingly become an integral part of students' and
lecturers' private and day to day lives and m–learning will be integral in educational content
delivery. Additional research is required to study the effective and optimal implementation of
m–learning. A better understanding of the benefits and leverage thereof is required and
additional research should provide answers to these questions. / Thesis (M.B.A.)--North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2012.

Abstracts in English, Afrikaans, Zulu, Tsonga and Portuguese / The purpose of the study was to develop a model of attitudes toward digital banking, by exploring the relationship between values, culture, the diffusion of innovation and the Technology Acceptance. In addition, actual behaviour in the use of digital banking, as well as the moderating effects of gender, age, education level, income, and urban versus rural backgrounds, was included to provide additional insights into the financial services market in Maputo, Mozambique. A quantitative survey with a convenience sample (n = 403) of bankable individuals (male and female) between the ages of 21 and 60, was conducted from 2015–2018. The findings revealed significant relationships between the variables included in the empirical model. Structural equation modelling indicated that the data were a good fit, resulting from the use of a correlations-derived measurement model. These findings provide new insights into the development of tailor-made digital banking actions to drive usage in different segments, which will contribute to the body of knowledge on consumer behaviour and digital banking adoption and use.
